‘Glee’ Star Chris Colfer Teases Michael Jackson Tribute Episode

‘I sing part of ‘Black [or] White.’ I’m the ‘white’ in ‘Black [or] White,’ ‘ actor reveals on the Golden Globes red carpet. By Amy Wilkinson, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Chris Colfer Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Fox’s song-and-dance series “Glee” is no stranger to a star-studded cameo or two, with the likes of Gwyneth Paltrow, John Stamos and Kristin Chenoweth all walking the halls of McKinley High during the past two and a half seasons. And as the show returns from a month-long hiatus, Gleeks aren’t the only ones anticipating a few more famous faces. As star Chris Colfer told MTV News on the Golden Globes red carpet, there’s plenty to look forward to when New Directions warble again January 17. “Well, the Michael Jackson episode …,” Colfer answered when asked about his most-anticipated upcoming episodes. “We have a Spanish episode coming up with Ricky Martin. We have a Valentine’s Day episode coming up, so that’s going to be fun.” Martin is slated to play “the hottest Spanish teacher ever in the history of Ohio,” according to TVLine . The actor/singer recently tweeted a joyful picture from his first day on set. As to how the King of Pop’s prolific songbook will manifest itself in the January 31 tribute episode, Colfer explained, “Well, I sing part of ‘Black [or] White.’ I’m the ‘White’ in ‘Black [or] White,’ and I sing ‘Ben,’ that famous song he wrote for the rat.” The rodent in question is the pet of a young boy named Danny in the 1972 film “Ben.” Jackson sang a version of the theme song that appeared in the movie’s closing credits and was later included on his 1972 album also named Ben . The track “Black or White” was the first single off of Jackson’s 1991 album Dangerous . David Duchovny and Matt LeBlanc attend SHOWTIME party.

http://www.youtube.com/v/q_IFI0JHHNY?version=3&f=user_uploads&app=youtube_gdata

The Golden Globes are this weekend, and that gives plenty of others the opportunity to throw a star-studded party. SHOWTIME held a gathering last night, and those in attendance included David Duchovny, Matt LeBlanc, Jeremy Irons, Claire Danes, and Mandy Patinkin. We love seeing all these folks, but were shocked and thrilled to see Mandy out on the town. Sadly we couldn’t convince him to say, Hello. My name is Inigo Montoya. You killed my father. Prepare to die.” We love THE PRINCESS BRIDE!!!!! Follow Hollywood.TV on Facebook @ facebook.com

Ricky Gervais At Golden Globes: Who Will He Chide?

‘I don’t care if you’re offended,’ show’s host says about his jokes. By Kara Warner Ricky Gervais Photo: Getty Images One of the many joys in watching live awards shows is the anything-can-happen factor. We can predict winners and losers and attendees and such, but we really never know for sure who will say what and when, or whether there will be any technical difficulties, wardrobe malfunctions or other unexpected excitement. With regard to the Golden Globes — which typically seem to allow room for more surprises than say the Oscars or the Grammys — the most unpredictable and interesting factor going into the show this year is host Ricky Gervais . Who will he poke fun at this year? Our hope: everyone. We love our celebrities and all the movies and television shows they make, but so much of the Hollywood machine is so exaggerated and ridiculous, it’s great to watch someone who is as intelligent as he is funny take the industry to task for its most-outlandish offenses. Gervais has said that just like last year, he will be pulling no punches tonight. “[Am I] nervous? No. What’s the worst that can happen?” he told reporters at a Television Critics Association press event for his HBO show “Life’s Too Short.” “I end my career once a week if you read the press. I do things that could end my career now. That’s my extreme sport. If you get fun with it, which I do and I demand, and you get your own way and are happy with what you’ve done, then nothing can happen to you. You’re bulletproof. Everything I say, I can justify it, I can stand by it, as I do every joke I did last year, then I don’t care. I don’t care if you’re offended.” This is exactly what we want to hear from Gervais. He doesn’t single out anyone maliciously; he does it all in the name of entertainment. “I’m going to do a monologue about what happened during the year, and then introduce six or seven people as I did last year. I’ve got nothing against any of those people in the room,” he said. “I’ve worked with many of them. I like many of them. I admire them. They’re just gags. I’m not trying to hurt anyone’s feelings or give them a bad night or undermine the moral fabric of America. I’m a comedian.” Given what we know about Gervais and those we expect to be present at the Globes, here are a few things we think he might address: Movies : A controversial statement of some kind about “The Help,” something cheeky about “The Artist” having no color or sound, poking fun at the heavy hitters in the Best Actor category, the old guard (George Clooney, Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio) vs. the young upstarts and their multiple films nominated (Ryan Gosling and Michael Fassbender). We hope he loved “Bridesmaids” as much as we did and gives it extra attention. TV : The new “Two and a Half Men,” Charlie Sheen’s new career, Steve Carell leaving “The Office,” the nudity and sex featured in HBO shows, the oddities of “American Horror Story,” lack of enthusiasm for “Glee.” We have no idea what shows Gervais might love; maybe “30 Rock” and “Breaking Bad”? Here’s hoping we find out via his quips. Other pop-culture topics : Kim Kardashian’s marriage is long over, but Gervais likely has a fresh take; the royal wedding; British things vs. American things; the presidential election; Beyonc

Golden Globes 2012 Predictions: Best Actress

Viola Davis and Michelle Williams, but who should win? MTV News breaks it down. By Kevin P. Sullivan Viola Davis in “The Help” Photo: Dreamworks After holding our breath for almost a month, on Sunday, we will find out who will be taking home this year’s Golden Globes . The competition has shifted significantly since the nominees were first announced in December, so we’re going to take a look at where the hopefuls stand and who has the best shot at winning gold. Here are our thoughts on the categories of Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Drama and Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical: Best Actress – Drama This Globes category contains the two nominees most people consider the lead contenders for Best Actress on Oscar night. Expect people to be paying close attention to this category in particular, since there hasn’t been a runaway favorite throughout awards season. This award could change all of that. Who Will Win : Viola Davis for “The Help.” With her win at the Critics’ Choice Movie Awards , Davis confirmed theories that she was the favorite in this category. Her powerful performance played well with audiences across the board in a movie generally more liked than those of other nominees. Who Should Win : Viola Davis for “The Help.” Sorry, Ms. Streep, this is simply Davis’ year. Hers was an emotionally powerful performance and the one that left audiences weeping. She’s the favorite for a reason. Best Actress – Comedy or Musical With the exception of Michelle Williams, the actresses in this category turned in great performances but have lacked the buzz to make them serious Oscar contenders. Unfortunately, this category will be one of the few chances to honor some of the year’s best unsung performances. Who Will Win : Michelle Williams for “My Week With Marilyn.” It’s the dramatic role in the comedy category. That’s not the only difference here; Williams’ portrayal of the blond bombshell has been mentioned in nearly every other actress’ honor, unlike many of her fellow nominees. It’s an iconic performance that might skate by on an odd categorization. Who Should Win : Charlize Theron for “Young Adult.” It took balls to bring life to the wholly unlikable Mavis Gary, and it’s exactly the kind of unsympathetic portrayal that is rarely seen these days. Theron pushed away convention and expectation and turned in one of the most memorable performances in a stellar career. Mr. Skin Congratulates This Year’s Golden Globe Nominudes

The nominees for this year’s Golden Globes were announced this morning in Hollywood, and for Skin fans it was a confirmation that, for onscreen nudity, cable is where (t)it’s at. Out of this year’s Best Picture nominees, only My Week with Marilyn featured nudity ( and that was a body double ), but the Best Actress in a Motion Picture category fared somewhat better. Rooney Mara was nominated for her nude turn in The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (details coming next week) along with Glenn Close for the gender-bending drama Albert Nobbs (which you probably haven’t heard of, but is nude on Mr. Skin!). Plus, The Skin I Live In , featuring Elena Anaya nude, was also nominated for Best Foreign Language Feature. Meanwhile in the TV categories, all five of the Best Television Series- Drama nominees featured nudity (or at least Alexandra Breckenridge in a French maid outfit): American Horror Story , Boardwalk Empire , Boss , Game of Thrones , and Homeland all received nods, and are all nude at Mr. Skin. Interestingly, however, none of the Best Actress nominees in the TV categories were also nominudes [ nude in the role they were nominated for- SC ], save for Kate Winslet and Evan Rachel Wood , who were nominated for their highly pierce-able performances in Mildred Pierce . Check out the Golden Globes on all these lovely ladies, along with their fellow nominees Charlize Theron , Tilda Swinton , Michelle Williams , and Jodie Foster , right here at MrSkin.com!
