Golden Globes Preview: Kings Vs. Geeks, Charlie Sheen And Sea Bass

Get the inside scoop on the Best Picture horse race, host Ricky Gervais and more before Sunday’s show, which airs live at 8 p.m. ET. By Eric Ditzian Justin Timberlake and Jesse Eisenberg in “The Social Network” Photo: Sony Pictures On Sunday evening, Hollywood will gather for the 68th Golden Globe Awards , an annual shindig at which celebs in attendance are at least as interested in re-filling their wine glasses as they are in watching to see who wins. Emceeing the shenanigans once again will be Ricky Gervais , who last year guzzled beer onstage, hilariously eviscerated Mel Gibson and generally won rave reviews for his keep-the-show-rolling comedic talents. Gervais will have a new crop of Hollywood royalty to dis this year. Thus far, the 2011 awards season has been shaping up to be a two-horse race between “The Social Network” and “The King’s Speech” for top prize. But it’s anybody’s guess which film will triumph at night’s end in the Best Motion Picture – Drama category; even ear-to-the-ground prognosticators are split on the outcome. You can take it to the bank now: David Fincher will nab Best Director for “Social Network,” “The Kids Are All Right” will take home Best Motion Picture – Comedy or Musical and Colin Firth will triumph as best dramatic actor for “King’s Speech.” Oh, and if Natalie Portman doesn’t win best dramatic actress for “Black Swan,” it’s a sure sign of the apocalypse. The Globes air live on Sunday at 8 p.m. ET, and as always, MTV News will be reporting from the red carpet and post-Globe parties, so be sure to check out MTV.com for all of the latest awards-show developments. Also keep an eye out for our interviews with the night’s winners and losers. For added enjoyment, play a game of “Spot the Drunken Celeb.” The 1,300 guests will be sitting around tables, knocking back the booze and, if they’re smart, filling their bellies with food too. On this year’s menu is an appetizer of grilled eggplant and marinated artichoke, topped with a blend of edamame and red pepper hummus. The entr
