I still can’t believe that Selena Gomez is eighteen years old, she’s way too cute to be an adult, she looks like she should be selling cookies door to door with her little friends. That sounded a lot less creepy in my head, but I’d definitely buy a few boxes from her. For some reason that sounded just as creepy, I’m going to quit while I’m ahead.

‘Jersey Shore’ Star Vinny Wants To Meet Selena Gomez ‘If She’s 18’

For instance, Justin Bieber got the chance to catch up with pals Katy Perry and Rihanna. So, when MTV News caught up with Vinny from “Jersey Shore” on the VMA white carpet, we asked who he wanted to meet at the big show. He told us he had his sights set on one Disney princess. ” Selena Gomez ,” Vinny said, quickly adding, “if she’s 18.” Lucky for Vinny, Gomez turned 18 earlier this year. However, Vinny may not be happy to hear Gomez’s reaction to his flirtatious advances. “I am [a big ‘Jersey Shore’ fan],” she said. When told that the “Jersey Shore” star wanted to meet her “if she’s 18,” she replied, “Tonight, I’m not 18! My mom would kill me! I will say I am a very big fan though, a very big fan, and I do look forward to meeting them, but that’s as far as it goes.” While Vinny’s dream to meet Gomez may not have come to fruition, an exclusive clip from this season of “Jersey Shore” debuted during the VMAs, and it seems that Snooki and Angelina don’t share the same polite admiration for each other that Selena and Vinny have for one another. In the clip, drama ensues after a guy Snooki brought home seems to gravitate to or get hit on by Angelina. Snooki explains that it’s not the first time she and Angelina have both pursued the same guy. The spat prompts Angelina to vent her feelings about the entire cast. “I don’t give a f— about anybody in this house. All of yous in this house are f—ing fake. And I want you all to know that I can’t stand any of yous. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Perri Nemiroff Selena Gomez Photo: MTV News When “Ramona and Beezus” opens Friday, moviegoers might be wondering how much Selena Gomez and Joey King are like their onscreen personalities. And, as it turns out, there’s a bit of Ramona and Beezus in both of them. “I’m not really comfortable in my skin as much as Beezus is, but I do try to do my best in school,” Gomez told MTV News about her character in the film, which also stars “Sex and the City” alumni Bridget Moynahan and John Corbett . “I have a huge imagination, like Ramona, [and] a big personality, but there’s some similarities and some differences between me and Ramona as well,” 10-year-old King added. Gomez has said that King became like a real-life sister to her during filming. “Even when they stopped, when they would say ‘cut,’ we would still just be as loud and talking. We all got along really well,” Gomez said about how “inseparable” she’s become with King . “Pretty much, we talk all the time. She’s like my sister, and I never had a sibling, so she’s as close as I’ve got.” So does that make Gomez the real-life Beezus to King’s Ramona, based on the characters from the beloved Beverly Cleary books? “She’s still the Ramona,” Gomez said. “I go to her for advice, if anything.” “We both have different traits from each character,” King said. “She’s like Ramona in some ways and same for me.” Are you excited to see “Ramona and Beezus” this weekend? Although, she’s somewhat of a celebrity and I’m somewhat of a celebrity blogger so we should be good. If it were twenty-four days from now I would say something about how good she looks in her little blue bikini and make some lame joke about activity in my pants… But it’s not… So I won’t.

By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Christina Garibaldi Selena Gomez Photo: MTV News At the beginning of the year, Miley Cyrus announced that season four would be the last for her hugely popular Disney series “Hannah Montana.” Fellow Disney star Selena Gomez said her colleague is just ready to move on to bigger and more mature things, even if her fans will feel the void left by her decision to end the show. “I think that she’s growing with the show, and I think it’s such a great platform for her,” Gomez told MTV News, adding that she has yet to talk to Cyrus about her post-“Hannah Montana” plans. “And she’s lived up to it as wonderfully as she could, and I think she continues to carry it, but she’s ready for other things.” Although there’s still some time until the show does finally end, Cyrus has expressed her desire to tackle more mature projects, like her role in the forthcoming Nicholas Sparks movie “The Last Song.” “Everything is so dramatic in the world,” Cyrus told Harper’s Bazaar. “My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.” While Cyrus is bidding a fond farewell to her alter ego, Gomez is still having a good time playing Alex Russo on her Disney show. ” ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ is getting much more mature in terms of our comedy, [but] we are still keeping the youthfulness of our characters,” she said. “I just feel like we’re all kind of growing, so the characters are evolving.” Related Artists Selena Gomez Miley Cyrus

Selena Gomez Starstruck By Shakira On ‘Wizards Of Waverly Place’

And the same can be said of her onscreen persona on “Wizards of Waverly Place,” Alex Russo. Gomez revealed that as the show progresses, it only makes sense to have the tone of the show itself grow up a little bit. ” ‘Wizards of Waverly Place’ is getting much more mature in terms of our comedy, [but] we are still keeping the youthfulness of our characters,” she told MTV News. “I just feel like we’re all kind of growing, so the characters are evolving.” And the more mature comedy on the show isn’t the only thing that Gomez is looking forward to. “As far as anything else exciting coming up, we have a couple of episodes … we have the Shakira episode coming up,” she said, adding, “And I think we have another hour-long special as well.” While she didn’t reveal much about the plot of the episode starring Shakira, she does say that the two will share a duet. But if you want to know what song they sing together, you’ll have to tune in. “The Shakira episode was so much fun. I’m not sure I can reveal too much. I just know that she had a very big part in it and I was just starstruck the entire time,” she said. “I also felt like I needed to work out after I was next to her because she’s gorgeous. She was really nice and she was really funny. So the role was her playing herself, obviously, and I got to sing a song with her as well.” So did Gomez prove that her hips don’t lie by dancing with Shakira? “No! I wasn’t even about to attempt her dance moves,” she laughed. “There’s no way I would be that skilled.”
