It’s true: the rumored feud between Markle and her fellow Duchess, Kate Middleton, has reached such an epic level of publicity that even Thomas thinks the coverage has been unfair to his child. In a recent interview with The Sun, the Markle patriarch weighed in on the never-ending chatter of a rift between Meghan and Middleton, along with incessant talk of Meghan as a “difficult” boss. Indeed, numerous Royal staffers have resigned of late, with reports indicating that Markle’s attitude is to blame. “If there is any animosity between Meghan and Kate, they should put their differences aside,” Thomas told The Sun. He added: “I’m very upset by the criticism Meghan is getting. I don’t think she deserves it and I don’t think she is doing one third of the things she is being accused of doing.” Thomas, of course, is the one who has offered up one scathing critique after another of Meghan. I think Kate also knows she is in a stronger power position than Meghan is. “Kate’s the hero mother. I can’t see her being that weak. No woman is who pops out a kid then walks out of hospital the same day. I don’t think she’s afraid of anyone.” Kensington Palace rarely comments on rumors regarding the Royal Family. But a spokesperson did actually come out a few weeks ago and shot down this specific allegation. Gym, tan, laundry? For Deena Nicole Cortese now, it will be feed, burp, change. That’s because the Jersey Shore star has given birth to her very first child! Ever! The blessed development took place on Saturday, January 5, as Denna welcomed a baby boy alongside husband Chris Buckner. This is what she wrote on Facebook as confirmation: Our Little Man has finally arrived. Christopher John Buckner (CJ) born January 5th at 4:41 pm at a whopping 20.5 inches..6 Lb 8.5 ounces. Uhg mommy and daddy love you so much CJ .. you’re our everything As you can see above and below, Cortese provided followers with many precious photos of young CJ as well. “I never thought i could love Chris anymore than i did until i saw him hold CJ,” added Deena as a nod to both her husband and her son on Instagram. Why couldn’t we leave Kevin Hart in 2018? If not the whole man, why couldn’t we just leave that awful story about him losing the Oscars hosting gig because of his many homophobic comments? It would have been so nice not to have to recount his ridiculously ignorant “jokes” in this new year, but unfortunately, here we are. So let’s push through, OK? If you missed this mess, it was announced in December that Kevin would act as the host for this year’s Academy Awards. As soon as the news was announced, lots of people went “Wait, he’s made tons of offensive comments about the LGBT community, this isn’t cool.” And it’s true — he really has said some terrible things. Like, a few years ago he tweeted “If my son comes home & try’s 2 play with my daughters doll house I’m going 2 break it over his head & say n my voice ‘stop that’s gay.'” He used to have a real big habit of tweeting things like that — he called tons of people “f-g,” used “gay” as insult, that sort of thing. Once, he told someone that he looked like a “gay bill board for AIDS.” Then, in one of his comedy specials, he said that “One of my biggest fears is my son growing up and being gay. That’s a fear.” “Keep in mind, I’m not homophobic,” he insisted. “Be happy. Do what you want to do.” “But me, as a heterosexual male, if I can prevent my son from being gay, I will.” So all of those are jokes, OK? And we’re sure he thought they were all just super hilarious. But lots of people didn’t, and when those people complained about them after he became the Oscars host, Kevin turned the blame around on them by telling them to “Stop looking for reasons to be negative.” Sure, Kevin. Sure. Shortly after he said, that, he posted a video on Instagram in which he explained that the people from the Academy had called him up and basically told him to apologize or he’d be fired. Kevin Hart: I Won’t Apologize for Homophobic Jokes! He refused to apologize. His stance at the time was that he’d apologized for those kinds of statements several times already, except, oddly enough, no one has been able to find a record of that anywhere. He’s acknowledged it, sure, but just with comments like “funny is funny,” which most people with the slightest bit of awareness can agree is very far from an apology. So that was that — he stepped down from the job, and we still don’t know who the host will be . All of this was old news, except Ellen DeGeneres brought everything back up when she had Kevin on her show yesterday. In that interview, she said that she still wanted him to host because people change, even though the haters refuse to accept that. But in another new interview, this one with Variety, Kevin is making it clear that he won’t be hosting the Oscars. Not now. Not ever. “Would I ever do it?” he asked himself. “No, it’s done. It’s done.” “The moment came and it was a blessing and I was excited at the opportunity and I still am,” he said. “In my mind I got the job, it was a dream job, and things came up that simply prohibited it from happening. But I don’t believe in going backwards.” So now, he said, “When I go on that stage, it will be because I’ve somehow figured out a way to win the Oscar.” “Somehow I’ll get to the stage but it’s not going to be in this way because it just comes with such a weird clout at this point.” And then he blamed “trolls” for digging up all those horrible things he said without bothering to find the apology he made about those things as well. Because he’s still insisting he made an apology. According to him, at some point in 2011, “I had to say to a person in the LGBTQ community, ‘Hey, I understand. And you know what? I’m wrong.'” He told that person “I can’t do nothing about that joke because it was done. I can’t do nothing about the tweets because they’re out there. I was wrong. It’ll never happen again and I’m sorry.” … Did he just say that to a random person? Is that his big apology that he expects people to know about? The thing is, if he was truly sorry for saying those things, there’s no reason why he shouldn’t be able to apologize again. Maybe he doesn’t want to offer an apology in every interview he does for the rest of his life, but for big instances like this, what would it hurt to make it known that you’ve changed your ignorant views? As he explained it, “I can’t put that energy into something that’s in my past. As you can see in the video that we have included, Jay Smith's cheating scandal is a topic of interest. While trying to explain it away, Jay utters what may be the funniest line to ever air on this franchise. Watch it for yourself: Ashley caught Jay FaceTiming another woman just days after their wedding, and learned that he had downloaded Tinder right after the nuptials. At the beginning of this sneak peek clip, Fernanda Flores asks her castmate Jay what the actual hell he was thinking. “It was just a mistake,” Jay protests. It would have to be a series of coincidences worthy of Final Destination for Jay to accidentally cheat on Ashley. Still, Jay insists: “I wasn't going to have no one come over to the house.” Fernanda points out: “You'd just married the person whom you're supposed to love.” “Right,” Ashley chimes in. “So what happens when you're at your ‘seven-year itch,' when you're having trouble. Then what do you do?” Cheat, most likely. Most don't cheat during the honeymoon phase, however. Jay is rare in that regard. “If this is what you do three days after you got married, what do you do when you actually are having troubles in your marriage?” Ashley asks. “Because as far as I was concerned,” Ashley states. “We weren't having any issues.” If Jay were to say that he was trying to sabotage his relationship because he'd gotten cold feet … it would be something. It souldn't be an excuse, but it would at least have been an explanation. Jay instead continues to act as if he made a simple mistake, like forgetting a birthday. “It was just a misunderstanding,” Jay insists. Right. From what Jay says here, it sounds like he was perfectly happy with Ashley. “And I wish I could go back and fix it,” he expresses. “I would do any f–king thing just to fix it,” Jay claims. Ashley is, understandably, not feeling sympathetic. “You f—ked up. Take it on the chin. Simple,” Ashley says. She concludes: “Just don't even try to defend yourself because you sound like an idiot.” Jay then tries to blame Ashley spending time on her phone, and laments that he hadn't realized that women would be sending him irresistible messages. Unbelievably, Jay still isn't done trying to defend himself. In the process, he utters one of 90 Day Fiance 's funniest lines, ever. “Listen,” Jay insists. “It said, ‘Tinder, meet friends.'” That is . . . objectively funny, though we absolutely understand why Ashley was less entertained. Jay continues: “I never knew that people were going to message me.” Ashley doesn't have time for that. “You're full of s–t,” Ashley tells him. “You knew exactly what Tinder was.” We are very much inclined to agree. Not only is Tinder not exclusive to the United States, but Jay had been in America for months at this point. He knew what he was doing. He's just sorry that he got caught. In December of 2017, the adult film world was shocked by the suicide of August Ames , an up-and-coming 23-year-old performer who had recently taken the industry by storm. Ames’ death came on the heels of an ugly social media confrontation prompted by some controversial comments she made about a fellow performer. “Whichever (lady) performer is replacing me tomorrow for @EroticaXNews, you’re shooting with a guy who has shot gay porn, just to let cha know,” Ames tweeted just two days before her passing. “BS is all I can say… Do agents really not care about who they’re representing?… I do my homework for my body.” The tweet prompted immediate backlash from both fans and fellow performers, many of whom accused Ames of homophobia. Ames — who was herself bisexual — quickly clarified her position, tweeting: “NOT homophobic. Most girls don’t shoot with guys who have shot gay porn, for safety. That’s just how it is with me. I’m not putting my body at risk, i don’t know what they do in their private lives.” The charge to denigrate Ames was led by fellow adult performers Jaxton Wheeler and Jessica Drake, who recently claimed she was harassed by Donald Trump . “Performers, by all means, f–k who you want to f–k…but if you’re eliminating folks based on the fact they they (sic) may have done gay or crossover work, your logic is seriously flawed,” Drake tweeted. “Reality is, WE DON’T KNOW who does what with whom when there are no cameras.” Within hours of Drake’s tweet, Ames was found dead in a public park roughly 20 minutes from her home. Her death was ruled a suicide by hanging. At the Adult Video News Awards six weeks later, Ames’ widower, Kevin Moore, was greeted with thunderous applause when he took the stage to defend the right of all performers to work with whomever they choose. Drake was in the audience as fans wearing t-shirts honoring Ames gave Moore a standing ovation. The narrative that formed around Ames’ death was quick and convenient — PC hysteria had led to rampant cyberbullying, which resulted in Ames’ decision to take her own life. Now, however, in a new podcast entitled the Last Days of August , author Jon Ronson argues that the situation is far more complex than originally thought. Throughout her life, Ames was open about her traumatic childhood and her struggles with mental illness. Ronson says her short time in the adult film industry shattered Ames’ psyche, a theory he formed after viewing the final scene that she filmed, which has never been released to the public. “When you think about it, what we were watching in that moment was the moment that she decided to die. That’s what we were watching and it’s awful,” Ronson recently told the New York Post . “That was the truth of it, that was the moment when she reached the point of no return. The Twitter bullying may have been the icing on the cake, as some people described it.” Ronson says the scene very clearly took Ames outside of her comfort zone as she was brutalized by a domineering Russian porn star named Markus Dupree. “On more than one occasion in the footage, Markus forcefully repositions August, which visibly startles her,” Ronson’s co-host, Jessica Misitzis, says in the podcast. “She says ‘Whoa s–t!’ and at one point Markus picks up her pink thong, stretches it around her head, jerks her around by it, and then shoves it in her mouth. “At the end of her scene, August is interviewed by a crew member to establish consent for legal purposes. She’s staring straight into the camera, holding up her check for the day’s work, her makeup’s gone and her hair is pulled back, she looks resigned and emotional and hollow all at once,” Mitzis adds. “‘Were you treated OK?’ she’s asked.
