Paola Mayfield and Russ Mayfield Welcome First Child!

In July, 90 Day Fiance stars Paola Mayfield and Russ Mayfield shared that they were expecting their first child . This was a big deal for the couple, in part because Pao had already suffered a miscarriage. They’re sharing their rainbow baby’s name, very special time of birth, and even a photo . The baby is here! “What an amazing way to start the new year,” Paola Mayfield announced in the caption beside this photo. “While I was hearing the fireworks and people telling me ‘happy new year,'” Pao writes. “I was just focused on meeting my baby boy.” “Our little miracle is so beautiful and calm,” she gushes. “I feel so blessed,” Paola raves. “And I can’t believe I am a mom now!” “I’m ready to start this new adventure,” Paola’s post continues. “And to be the best mom for baby Axel.” What a fun name for this precious baby! “I’m so proud of my husband,” she continues. “He was there for me the entire time.” “I couldn’t have done it without you @russ_mayfield,” Pao says sweetly. This couple has had their ups and downs, but they are solidly together and supportive of each other these days. “The joy I feel is indescribable,” Paola raves. That is no surprise, and we’re not just talking about the oxytocin and endorphins. She’s delighted to be a mom. “I’ve never felt so happy in my life,” she announces. “Axel has become my whole world,” she shares. “And I’m so in love with him.” That is so sweet! “Thank you all for supporting us,” Paola writes to fans and followers. She continues: “and ‘patiently’ waiting to finally meet him!” Some fans were patient — some were not. That’s just how things are. “We are so blessed!” she concludes. She then reveals his time of birth: “Baby Axel was born January 1, 2019 at 12:22 AM.” He really is a New Year’s baby! Paola was not the only one who took to Instagram on Thursday to gush about Axel. “What an amazing feeling to be overwhelmed with joy,” Russ writes. “We would like to introduce you to Axel Mayfield,” he says. “He is already taking after his father and is such a cute, sweet, and calm little boy,” Russ announces. Russ then drops some stats, sharing that Axel was born “measuring 22 inches in length, and weighing in at 7 lbs and 5 oz.” “This has been the HAPPIEST NEW YEAR we have ever experienced,” Russ proclaims. “Momma and baby are doing so well!” Russ shares. “I cannot express enough how proud I am of Pao,” “She was such trooper bringing him into the world,” he gushes. “Pao’s bouncing back stronger than ever,” he reveals. “And Axel is rocking his eat, sleep, poop, repeat like a champ.” That’s what babies do. “Thank you everyone for all your love, support, prayers, good vibes, and all the encouraging messages,” Russ tells his fans and followers. “It brings us so much joy,” Russ concludes. “Knowing how much our baby boy is already adored.” Congratulations to Paola and Russ! Axel is a great name (yes, it’s unusual, but it’s easy and intuitive to spell and that matters a lot more than popularity). We are so glad to hear that both mother and baby are recovering so well. Scott Disick: Slammed By Fans For "Racist" Photo of Daughter

If you had told us that at some point in 2019, there would be controversy involving a photo of Scott Disick and a very young female , our response would have been something along the lines of “no doi!” But we woudn’t have guessed the female would be his daughter, and we certainly never would have predicted the scandal would be racial in nature: On Thursday morning, Scott posted the above photo of himself and his daughter Penelope at what appears to be an Asian-style restaurant. As you can see, Penelope looks to be pulling on her eyelids in such a way as to mock facial features that are often associated with Asian people. Not surprisingly, the backlash from fans was swift and harsh. “I’m Asian and that was racist,” commented one angry follower .  “She must have seen someone do it to think it’s okay,” wrote another. “Teach her not to do the Chinese eye thing at a sushi restaurant. Don’t teach her to be a racist. Cause that’s what’s gonna happen,” a third pointed out. A surprising number of commenters were quick to come to Scott’s defense: “She is a little f**king girl making a goofy face in a picture with her dad,” wrote one such fan. “What race of people even have eyes like that???? Seriously get a life, it’s a child who wouldn’t even know what racism is,” commented another. “She is a child. She doesn’t know better and she is lifting her eyes. Not stretching Opens a New Window.  them sideways,” remarked a third. Now, kids do dumb sh-t all the time. In fact, one could argue that childhood is simply a succession of increasingly less dumb sh-t, which leads to adulthood, a time in which you endeavor to do less dumb sh-t, because now there’s an increased that it will cost you money. Racism is something far too nefarious and harmful to fall under the relatively innocuous heading of “dumb sh-t,” but when the perpetrator is 6 years old, the problem is almost certainly that they’re being ignorant in the classical sense, and now willfully malicious. The question is, why — instead of correcting his daughter on why that’s not the sort of gesture she should be making under any circumstances but particularly in public — did Scott instead choose to post this image for his 21 million Instagram followers. And why does he have yet to take it down or offer an apology? Scott’s daughter engaged in some very foolish behavior here, it’s true. But it’s Scott who really failed by both failing to take advantage of a teachable moment, and by putting this deeply problematic image out there for all the world to see. Florida Man Attacks McDonald’s Employee Over Straw Policy

Oh, Florida Man. Were you just not loved as a child? In the latest example of a resident of the Sunshine State acting like he's several cards short of a full deck, Daniel Taylor was arrested on New Year's Eve for physically assaulting an employee at McDonald's. Not that anyone could really blame the guy. After all, are you aware that one now has to ask for a straw at ths fast food restaurant?!? This really is what set Taylor off, according to witnesses, at least one of whom filmed Taylor got ballistic at a McDonald's in St. Petersburg. Video of the incident, which we've featured on this page, shows Taylor SCREAMING at a young woman behind the counter because, onlookers confirm, he was furious after picking up his order — and not finding any straws in the condiments section. “He was very upset, he started berating her, swearing, saying 'There’s no law like that,'” said the woman who captured this crazy footage, adding of the employee; “She said, ‘Yes it is, we’re not allowed to put straws out.'” The best part of this entire confrontation, as you'll see in the footage, is how the McDonald's employee responds: With fists flying!  In the video, other patrons can be heard saying “get the police” and “let her go.” But the employee doesn't seem to need much help. She can fend for herself! That's for sure. “YES this really did happen last night for all those asking me… it all started because he wanted a straw!!!,” read the caption to this video on Facebook. “The young girl said she used to box.” It has been viewed over 3.5 million times to date. According to the arrest report, a drunken Taylor told the cops he wanted “her ass fired,” referring to the employee, of course. The response? “No, you're going to jail,” she said. While being hauled away, meanwhile, Taylor kicked someone else in the stomach! “The defendant was being escorted out of the business by management due to him battering another employee, and causing a disturbance,” the arrest report reads. “The defendant kicked the victim in the stomach while she was standing near the exit door.” We mean, he wouldn't be a Florida Man if he acted calm during an arrest, right? Ronnie Ortiz-Magro Splits from Jen Harley, Is "Person of Interest" in Burglary Investigation

Ronnie Ortiz-Magro does not appear to have resolved to live a peaceful and scandal-free life in 2019. Or, heck, perhaps he has . The Jersey Shore veteran may simply be incapable of doing so. First, according to Us Weekly, Ronnie has broken up with long-time girlfriend Jen Harley. Yes, again. Will the split stick this time? Who the heck knows with these two?!? But it sounds like things turned ugly once more between the often-contentious couple, per an anonymous source who told this tabloid the following: “Ronnie and Jen got into a fight on New Year’s Eve. They broke up before New Year’s Eve, got back together right before then and got in a big fight on Monday night. “They’re currently broken up. But it’s the same story every time: They are together, they fight, they break up and then get back together.” Just a few days prior to this latest confrontation, Ronnie and Jen got into the loving holiday spirit by posing with their kids* for some adorable holiday photos. (*Jen has a son from a prior relationship and she welcomed Ronnie’s daughter, Ariana, in early April of last year.) As you can see, the reality stars looked perfectly content, calm and happy in these pictures — but looks can be deceiving. “They fight… a lot. They have a very volatile relationship. It’s either great or the total opposite,” writes Us Weekly , stating the most obvious thing ever to anyone who watched Jersey Shore: Family Vacation last season. Mere weeks after becoming parents together, Ronnie and Jen engaged in an epic and very ugly online argument, with each side accusing the other of infidelity. And yet: they’ll probably be back together next week. Elsewhere, meanwhile, Ronnie has been named a “person of interest” in a possible burglary that occurred in the early hours of Tuesday, January. Wait… WHAT? Scroll down for the details on this unexpected situation… A source spoke to Us Weekly yesterday and said the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to a residence at about 3:23 a.m. on New Year’s Day concerning a burglary call: “Ronnie was not at the home when the police arrived at the scene. “Jen was not injured, but given the history of police calls between these two, police more than likely provided Jen with information about getting a restraining order, and other things she could do to prevent a escalating domestic violence issue.” Wow, huh? This insider says nothing was taken in the alleged crime, but there was damage to items inside the home. And there is now an ongoing investigation, with authorities likely to contact Ortiz-Magro. Neither Ronnie nor Jen has commented on this investigation. The former, though, has removed any trace of Harley from his Instagram account. Moreover, he Liked a negative remark in which a fan stated that they hoped his daughter “doesn’t grow up to act like her mother.” So, in other words, this may be a new year for Ronnie. But it’s very much the same old drama.

Ariana Grande: I’m Done with Men… Forever!

Ariana Grande made it as clear as possible a few days ago: She was so very ready to be done with 2018 . And now the beloved pop star has made something else as clear as possible: She also may be done with dating. Forever. On Tuesday, the artist came across a fan’s post with the headline: “Who Is Ariana Dating NOW?!” In response to this question, the 25-year-old herself was curious to find out the answer. “Can they tell me too?” she replied to one follower, prior making it adding in no uncertain terms whatsoever: Spoiler: for the rest of this year/probably my life: It’s no one. Please refer back to this tweet for future questions. So there we appear to have it. Sorry, fellas. We doubt Grande is serious about swearing off men forever, but it’s easy to understand where she’s coming from. As loyal celebrity gossip fans likely know very well, this has been a very tumultuous year for the singer on the personal front. Back in September, Grande’s ex-boyfriend of two years, Mac Miller, died of a drug overdose . Not only did Ariana have to deal with the painful personal feelings associated with this loss, she also had to deal with awful Internet trolls actually blaming her for Miller’s death. These insensitive morons tried to argue that Grande ending the couple’s romance drove Miller (a long-time addict) deep into despair — and, consequently, heavy drug use.  Grande, as you are also very likely aware, got engaged to Pete Davidson this fall… after mere weeks of dating the comedian. The stars then called off said engagement mere weeks later and spent several days shading each other online. This tragically contributed to Davidson threatening to kill himself and Grande once again needing to turn off her Instagram comments due to all the hate spewed in her direction. So, yeah.  We totally get why she isn’t anxious to get out there and mingle with other single people right now. “I want to say that I find it interesting that this has been one of the best years of my career and the worst of my life,” Ariana said in December , adding while accepting the Woman of the Year award at Billboard’s Women in Music event: “But as far as my personal life goes. I really have no idea what the f-ck I’m doing… “I just want to say if you’re someone out there who has no idea what this next chapter’s gonna bring, you’re not alone in that.” Amen, Ariana. Thankfully, Grande continues to have the support of her millions of social media followers. This is what she wrote about them on Tuesday: My timeline is beautiful rn. Samantha Markle to Meghan Markle: You Should Be Less of a B-tch in 2019!

Sigh. We had hoped that Samantha Markle would be one of those unfortunate trends we would be able to leave behind in 2018, like that stupid “flossing” dance, or talk of building the Wall. But alas Scammy Sammy is still clinging to relevancy in the new year. As you’re probably aware, Samantha is Meghan Markle’s awful half-sister . Meg’s story has been described as a fairytale, and unfortunately, it comes complete with bitter partial-sibling antagonists worthy of Cinderella. Samantha and her brother Thomas Markle Jr. have made it their life’s work to humiliate Meghan and cash in on her fame. Thankfully, they’ve been largely unsuccessful and have really only succeeded in humiliating themselves. Samantha’s most recent embarrassment was being deemed a “fixated person” and placed on a Scotland Yard watch list due to her worsening obsession with her half-sister. Sane people would take that as an indication that it’s time to back off and dedicate your time to something other than becoming the world’s most infamous stalker. But as she’s demonstrated many times, Samantha is anything but sane. Speaking to the UK’s Daily Star (London tabloids are the only ones who will give her the time of day at this point), Sam offered these thoughts about ways in which Meghan can improve herself in the year to come: “Your New Year’s resolution should be to be honest and pay tribute to those who have helped you the most such as your dad,” Samantha said. “Thank him for your college education, your career, building every stage you set foot on, but really appreciate the people that care about you. “So many people around the world don’t have anyone who cares about them and hopefully you will count your blessings and reflect moving forward in the new year and pay that gratitude forward to your children so that they also thank you.” she continued. “It all comes full circle… it started with dad, and you can carry on the legacy,” Sam prattled on. “And of course, I would add to eat more chocolate to sweeten your disposition for the new year.” “Tiresome” doesn’t even begin to describe Sam’s ramblings at this point. “You owe everything to your family!” is such a bitter less-successful sibling argument that it’s impossible to imagine she’s unaware of how pathetic she comes off here. That said, “eat more chocolate” is a solid resolution we can definitely get behind. Of course, when it comes to sweetening one’s disposition, Sam could very much benefit from following her own advice. Just sayin’. Anna Duggar: Defying Josh By Letting Her Daughter Wear Jeans?!

If you’re a fan of the family, then by now, you’re probably pretty well-acquainted with the Duggar dress code . The most infamous rule that Jim Bob and Michelle’s offspring are forced to follow is a gender-specific one. Women in the Duggar family are not allowed to wear pants  and must stick to long skirts until such time as they get married and leave the nest. At which time, it’s their husbands who get to decide what they’re allowed to wear. It’s not the most progressive policy, but then this is the Duggars we’re talking about. Fortunately, some of the women in the family have taken advantage of the freedom they enjoy once they wriggle out from under Jim Bob’s control. Jinger was the first to rebel , and she began wearing pants shortly after marrying Jeremy Vuolo. Several of her sisters followed suit, and over the weekend, several fans became very excited over what appeared to be an indication that the rebellious spirit had been passed on to a new generation. Josh Duggar’s wife, Anna Duggar, posted the above photo to Instagram yesterday. “We enjoyed one last trip to Silver Dollar City this year!” she captioned the pic. “It was great to be there with most of Joshua’s family and some extended family too! How are you guys wrapping up 2018?!?!” As In Touch Weekly points out , in the comments section, fans were less interested in answering Anna’s question than in commenting on the attire of her daughter, Mackynzie. “I love this little girls wearing jeans!” one fan wrote. “I always think you ladies must get so cold with wearing skirts all the time, so I was happy to see the little girls warm and cozy in pants.” Some fans even went so far as to speculate that Anna might be allowing her daughters’ to wear jeans in direct defiance of her scandalous husband, Josh Duggar. While we’d love it if that were the case, Anna was quick to clear the air and dash our hopes: “From the time Mackynzie has been a baby I have always allowed our girls to wear jeans instead of leggings in the winter,” she replied to one comment. “The long coat is covering her dress.” So the girls are allowed to wear jeans under their dresses and only on cold days. Kourtney Kardashian is Trying to Be Hotter Than Sofia Richie

It may be a new year, but Kourtney Kardashian is trying hard to maintain her old figure. The mother of three simply can’t afford to let herself go, not when she’s 39 and Sofia Richie is 20 and Kourtney has to compete with her ex-boyfriend’s lover on a near-daily basis. Not literally, of course. As far as we know, Kourtney isn’t trying to actually win Scott Disick back over or anything. She doesn’t want to be back together with her hard-partying and generally annoying ex. But it’s only natural for Kardashian to still feel a sense of competition with Richie, especially considering how they’re spending a decent amount of time together these days. ( Scott, Sofia and Kourtney all spent Christmas in Colorado together, for example.) Along those lines, an insider tells Hollywood Life that Kourtney puts a lot of pressure on her appearance any time she’s around Disick and Richie. “Kourtney does her best to look hot whenever she spends time with both Scott and Kourtney, which has been a lot lately,” alleges this anonymous source, adding: “Kourt works really hard to always look fit, glammed-up and cute, especially when she knows Sofia will be around.” This much is evident by the photo above, which was snapped during Kourtney’s aforementioned trip to Aspen… … and which features the reality star not exactly dressed in typical ski attire. For the record, though, Kourtney and Sofia are getting along pretty well these days. They’ll never be best friends, but they aren’t enemies, either, which is important when Richie will be hanging out so often with Kourtney’s three kids. “Kourtney is doing her best to be sweet, kind and accepting with Scott’s girlfriend, but she still fights back feeling awkward when watching romantic PDA between Scott and Sofia,” Hollywood Life writes. This is natural and understandable, of course.  Even if Kourtney has no interest in getting boned by Disick ever again. “When Scott holds Sofia’s hand, or kisses her in public, it still stings Kourt,” this totally real insider explains . “But Kourtney is determined to not let it show that it bothers her at all. “Instead Kourt is determined to always look as sexy as possible around Sofia and rise above any feelings of jealousy.” No one thought this would be an issue, of course. Richie was believed to just be a fling for Disick when the two got together well over a year ago — but here we are. She and Lord Douche are somehow still going strong, forcing Kourtney to accept the romance and to salvage some sort of peaceful arrangement between all parties. Little People, Big World: We Know When It’s Coming Back!

One cast member on Little People. Big World just dropped some huge news. Earlier this week, Tori Roloff was asked by fans when her family’s beloved reality show was going to return with new episodes and she provided followers with the most extensive update yet. No, unfortunately Tori did not have an exact premiere date to announce. But she at least gave us a pretty strong idea of when she and her siblings and parents would return to the air. “This Spring! Stay tuned! We are almost wrapped,” she wrote in response. Yes! We’re so very glad to hear this! There had been chatter awhile back that Little People, Big World was on the verge of being canceled, seeing as the network had not confirmed a renewal — and also that two key stars have said their goodbyes. Shortly after the previous season concluded, Audrey and Jeremy Roloff stunned viewers by saying they were done with the series that made them famous. For what reason? On a reason podcast episode, Audrey admitted that the “dynamic of the show” changed over the past few years and that the couple nearly walked away before they got married. “We almost didn’t film our wedding,” she revealed on air. “We almost made the decision to stop then, five years ago.” For his part, Jeremy wasn’t looking for sympathy. He’s well aware that he and his wife have it pretty great and always have. But still. Being in front of a camera does take its toll after all these episodes. “There’s a lot of mental energy that people underestimate when it comes to filming and being on TV,” he said on this same podcast. Elsewhere, Matt Roloff now lives part-time in Arizona. He may soon get engaged to girlfriend Caryn Chandler and Amy Roloff may soon get engaged to boyfriend Chris Marek. These relationships could provide the program with lots of storyline fodder — or they could mean that it’s time for the plug to be pulled because the Roloffs are becoming a far more splintered unit. Thankfully, for now at least, it appears as if TLC is choosing the former as a direction to go in. Tori, meanwhile, has made it clear for months that she and Zach are down for many more seasons. In honor of Christmas last month, she shared the above photo of herself and her son and got all gushy and sentimenal for the holidays. This is what she wrote: Today is always such a bittersweet day. Bitter because it’s the end of another beautiful holiday season and year. Sweet because I have the opportunity to reflect on my life and all that I have to be grateful for. This kid takes center stage of my heart daily. He brings me so much joy and love. I am so grateful to God for the blessings he has given to my family. I hope you can find time between today and New Years to really give thanks to our savior for what you have in your life.
