For a woman who stars on a show called Teen Mom OG , Bristol Palin certainly isn't very sympathetic to the plight of unwed young mothers. Or at least that's the impression we get from her latest comments on the subject. As The Ashley's Reality Roundup points out , Bristol went on an Instagram rant this week, and she made what many feel are deeply insensitive comments about teen pregnancy. Some fans are even citing the remarks as proof that Bristol never should have been cast on the show in the first place. Take a look: 1. Bristol Under Fire Many Teen Mom OG fans were not thrilled when Bristol Palin was cast on the show, and they’re citing her latest comments as further evidence that she just doesn’t belong. 2. Blast From the Past Unlike Cheyenne Floyd, who also joined the cast this season, Bristol was an honest-to-goodness teen mom at one point. 3. The Palins She welcomed her first child in 2008 … the same year that her mother gained national fame as John McCain’s running mate. 4. Season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County will be here before any of us know it. Kelly Dodd is well aware, but revealed on The Talk she thinks that the cast needs one major mix-up before filming begins. She thinks that most of her colleagues should return, and she has specific reasons for that. But she thinks that Vicki Gunvalson needs to go. They were one of the couples that seemed to have beaten the odds, but Shawn Booth and Kaitlyn Bristowe are over . Now, Shawn is opening up to fans with a heartfelt message. He’s thanking them for their support — over the years and now, as he experiences real emotional pain. Shawn Booth took to Instagram to deliver a heartfelt message about his not-so-secret breakup with Kaitlyn Bristowe. “I just want to thank everyone who has been so supportive of my relationship with Kaitlyn over the years,” he writes. After nearly three years together, the couple accrued a lot of fans. “You’ve made me feel incredibly special,” he shares. Shawn continues, noting that fans have made him feel “supported, and very loved.” “So from the bottom of my heart,” Shawn continues. “Thank you.” Shawn writes: “It truly means a lot.” He’s thanking fans for more than just their support during the relationship. Shawn appreciates the outpouring of respect that has flowed from the Bachelor Nation following their split. “And,” Shawn says. “Thank you to everyone who has sent their love & support during this painful time.” He gushes: “I love you guys.” According to a recent report by People , Shawn isn’t the only one feeling heartbroken. Kaitlyn’s in the same boat. “This was the last thing Kaitlyn wanted,” and insider reveals. According to the source: “she was willing to fight for the relationship.” Ultimately, however, she and Shawn realized that they had lost their forward momentum. “But,” the insider laments. “There was nowhere for it to go.” “It’s only natural to think about the next steps when you’ve been together for three years,” the source explains. “Kaitlyn,” the insider says. “Wants to be married and have kids.” “But,” the source notes. “It didn’t seem like they were on the same page.” Kaitlyn is two years older than Shawn. She is 33, he is 31. Did that slight age difference make her the one who wanted to settle down first? Fans cannot help but wonder. Despite this key difference, the report says that neither of them simply quit on the other. “It wasn’t one of them who broke things off,” the source reports. In other words, it sounds like this painful decision to break up after nearly three years together was mutual. According to the insider, Kaitlyn and Shawn are still “on good terms.” That is great. But Kaitlyn is not doing so well internally, apparently. “She’s devastated,” the source reports. “There is a lot of hurt,” the insider says. The source notes that “Kaitlyn tried to make it work.” “She never thought this would end,” the insider concludes. The hardest thing about relationships is that they inevitably end, one way or the other. After three years of engagement, Shawn and Kaitlyn still have their memories of happiness, at least. In time, those should be a source of comfort as the reasons for their conflict fade. Who knows? Maybe they’ll even get back together, though we don’t want to get anyone’s hopes up. Hollywood lost a legend this week. As previously reported, Stan Lee died at the age of 95 . It didn't take long after this news broke for scores of tributes to come flooding in for the co-creator of Marvel, someone responsible for entertaining and educating millions upon millions of comic book fans. Many of these tributes, especially from celebrites, included a photo of the person making the tribute and Lee. Together. It was often a selfie. What's the big deal? Isn't this a typical move in the social media age? Yes, and Hammer is here to explain why it's the wrong move — while many others are here to disagree with him… 1. The ladies of Orange County have been battling it out like never before on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Monday’s episode of chronicled the fraught friendship between Tamra Judge and Gina Kirschenheiter. The pair were still at odds over Gina dishing the goodies to Shannon about what was being said about her. But Gina wanted to let bygones be bygones and wanted Tamra to attend her birthday bash, but Judge had an agenda of her own. Tamra made her way over to Vicki’s house and revealed all about the growing tension between her and Gina. “So I got a call from Shannon who said that Gina told her that I was talking all this stuff about her in Jamaica,” Tamra told Vicki. But Vicki was so over what happened in Jamaica, saying: “Hello! Jamaica why are we still talking about Jamaica. We are done we are home now. I told Shannon if she has to get on anti-depressants than do it. But Shannon is not mentally ill.” In a hilarious segment, the two women decided against attending Gina’s party, and while it seemed more about Shannon being there, it was still pretty rude. As for Gina, she was moving out of her family home and into her own bachelorette pad following her decision to divorce her husband. “I am realizing that Mrs. Kirschenheiter is no more,” Gina said before claiming this would be her first birthday as a single woman. Gina then told her new BFF Kelly Dodd that she was keeping her divorce on the down low from her children. The ladies subsequently met up at Emily Simpson’s for a fortune reading party, and things quickly got out of hand. “I have texted Shannon to ask how her surgery went. She did not answer, but I just wanted her to know how it went,” Emily said. “Hopefully you are on the up and up,” Tamra said to Emily about Shannon. “I feel bad, but I am honestly over Shannon at this point,” said Gina who was still in hot water with Tamra. “I am trying to help, and you are trying to help her, and now this whole thing is about me and you and do I think you are a sh***y friend.” All seemed to go quiet on the Shannon front until the fortune reader told the ladies that a “woman with an S in her name needed help.” Okay then, Bravo to the producers for this random twist. The episode’s final moments focused on Gina questioning where Shannon, Tamra, and Vicki were after everyone but them arrived at her birthday party. We cut away to a scene with Tamra, Vicki, and Shannon together having a party of their own. “So I told you both what happened. The one thing that kind of upset me was that Emily said, ‘Because I grew up with a mentally ill mom, I saw some similarities with Shannon,’” Tamra said. That’s when Shannon lost it. “This is a person that threatened to kill Kelly! How dare she? Mentally ill? F**k her,” Shannon yelled as the episode faded to black. Oh yes, it’s on! We think it's safe to say Amber Portwood is going through a bit of a tough time. Over the course of the past two weeks, Amber has gotten emotional on social media multiple times while discussing recent events in her life. And she's not exactly welling up with joy. Amber recently “quit” Teen Mom OG over what she says is bullying and harassment from fans. It's unclear if she'll actually be leaving the show, but in the week since, she's complained about poor treatment from viewers several more times. And last night, she delivered what might be her most emotional tirade to date. Take a look: 1. Tough Times Amber appears to be stuck in a downward spiral these days. The Teen Mom OG star is now in the habit of unleashing her anger toward fans in bizarre social media rants. 2. When the Bullied Becomes the Bully Amber has accused TMOG viewers of bullying her, but as many have pointed out, she’s recently engaged in quite a bit of behavior that could be described as bullying. 3. Crossing the Line In the first of her recent rants, Amber threatened to get violent with fans and insulted one of her followers by referring to them using the R-word. 4. Can’t Stop, Won’t Stop Shortly thereafter, Amber took to Twitter to deliver another rant, this time threatening to quit the show that made her famous. 5. Now that Alaskan Bush People star Matt Brown has checked out of rehab , things should be smooth sailing for the Brown family. Sadly, they have now suffered a tragic loss. No one should have to lose their mother at any age, but that is just what has happened to Ami Brown. RadarOnline reports that Ami Brown’s estranged mother, Earlene Branson, has died. “Ami’s mother has died,” their insider reports. According to the source, “Ami is rather upset about this.” She’s upset despite — or perhaps because of — their estrangement. The insider explains that Ami is saddened “because she never got the opportunity to reconcile with her mom.” Earlene, the source says, is a woman “who tried for years and years to see her daughter.” Earlene Branson, pictured here, passed away at the age of 85. Ami never got the reunion and potential healing with her mother that she wanted. “There is nothing that she can do,” the insider laments. “It’s too late,” the source says of Ami’s feelings. “She’s gone.” Earlene and Les Branson — Les being Ami’s brother — apparently tried to visit Ami in Alaska not too long ago. Ami was, at the time, out of state. Despite the estrangement and some unresolved resentments, Earlene’s obituary does mention her daughter. “Her daughter Ami Brown is a star of the hit television show Alaskan Bush People,” the obituary reads. “Which airs on the Discovery Channel.” As recently as last year, RadarOnline spoke to Earlene and Les about their continued separation from Ami. Apparently, they very nearly had a little family reunion. “She said, ‘We’re going to come see you on Billy’s book signing tour, we’ll come down and see you,’” claimed Les. “We were very excited,” Les admitted. “Thinking we were going to get to see her.” Sadly, it never happened. “I found out later that they drove right by,” Les lamented. “And Billy wouldn’t let her stop and see any of us” “We were absolutely heartbroken,” he shared. At the time, Les added: “We’re still waiting to see Ami.” But they’ve been unable to do so for some time. “And we know,” Les accused. “It’s all because of Billy!” We of course cannot confirm that Billy either did or did not prevent Ami from visiting her mother and brother. It’s not that big of a surprise that they would regard Billy as the villain. They’ve harbored a grudge ever since 15-year-old Ami ran off with 26-year-old Billy. (That’s right; their 11-year age difference might not mean much now , but it sure did when Ami was young) Estrangements are complicated things, and it is only natural to look for one single villain when there are probably many factors. Family reunions can just be awkward, folks. We are so sorry for Ami’s loss, and for Les’ loss, and for all of Earlene’s loved ones. But there is a silver lining to this grim news. Earlene had many, many grandchildren — and now even has some great-grandchildren. Ami and Billy’s children have five first-cousins on Ami’s side whom they could meet. And those are just Earlene’s grandchildren. Earlene was also a great-grandmother and a great-great-grandmother to, added together, 13 others. It took a month into Lauren Swanson’s marriage to Josiah Duggar for the world to ask the only real question that matters when it comes to a new member of this latter family. Is she pregnant yet? Fans started pondering this possibility in early August, just weeks after Lauren and Josiah exchanged vows — but they had no real basis for the speculation. They just figured: Hey, these two are now married and have therefore had sex! A baby must be on the way! In fairness to those churning this particular rumor mill, this is often how the Duggars roll. They get married. They quickly procreate. They share cute photos of their newborn. And then they have a bunch more. Swanson and Duggar are sort of got married out of nowhere in late June, shocking fans by confirming they had tied the knot in Arkansas and leading many to presume they did so because… yup, you guessed it… … because Swanson was already pregnant. At this point, however, Swanson would be showing if that were the case — and she’s not, so it was a false claim at the time. Could it be true now, though?!? Might Swanson and Duggar be expecting their first child? A handful of social media users are convinced this is the case, although their reason for presuming so isn’t exactly based on very hard evidence. You see, Swanson has made her Pinterest Board private and… well… that’s it. Idk if you can do that though…” There was also this similar opinion; “Oohh. Hhmm wonder if she’s pinning baby stuff. You know girl is probably pregnant. She’s 19 and probably fertile AF.” And then another person simply wrote: “Preggo!” This alleged proof of Swanson’s pregnancy is flimsy at best, but, hey, it’s possible. If she isn’t expecting now, she probably will be in the near future. All we know for certain at the moment is that she and Josiah are very happy to be husband and wife. “What a joy it is to be husband and wife!” Josiah and Lauren told People Magazine this summer, adding shortly after their wedding ceremony: “We are so thankful the Lord has brought us to this place and we can’t wait to begin our journey as husband and wife!” Yeah, yeah, that’s great and all. Have no fear, Game of Thrones fans: Spring is coming. And, with it, new episodes of television's most popular cable show are also coming. FINALLY. HBO has confirmed that the final six installments of Game of Thrones will premiere in April. The network made this exciting announcement at the conclusion of the first teaser for Season 8, which we've included here and which will leave you crying … or cheering … or very possibly both. The preview does not include any new footage from the concluding set of episodes, but it does take us way back in time. We see Ned Stark. We get a look at King Joffrey. We even watch as Hodor takes his tragic final breath. In general, this video sets the stage for the final season, including with it an endless array of past season highlighting centered around various characters and what they done in their quest for survival and power. Reads words on the screen in between a number of bloody and emotional scenes from years gone by: Every battle. Every betrayal. Every alliance. Every risk. Every sacrifice. Every oath. Every death is all… #ForTheThrone. It looks like this hashtag will be the one used by HBO in the weeks and months leading up to Season 8 . As for when the show will actually return? We're gonna take a guess here… A third season of True Detective premieres on Sunday, January 13. If we assume it is comprised of 12 episodes, and if we assume Game of Thrones premiere on the Sunday immediately following the season finale… this would mean Season 8 will kick off on Sunday, April 7. We actually think that's a pretty safe guess. While you wonder how the heck you'll ever make it that long, go ahead and get more excited than ever before via the teaser featured here.
