Joy-Anna Duggar Has Suffered a Miscarriage

Heartbreaking news today from two members of the Duggar family. In a lengthy and understandably emotional Instagram post, Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth have alerted fans to the following: They’ve lost their baby. Along with the photo above, this is what the couple wrote on its official social media page late Wednesday night: Today marks one week since we heard these words… “So this is your baby’s heart (pointing to the ultrasound screen). I don’t hear a heartbeat or see any movement.” Duggar and Forsyth had announced they were expecting their second child back on May 1, joining a long line of loved ones who were pregnant and looking forward to welcoming a baby later this year. “Our favorite math is addition and we are very excited to share that the Forsyth family is adding a member!” the Counting On stars said at the time, adding: “Marriage and being a mom and dad to Gideon has already far exceeded our expectations. “We are looking forward to loving another little one and seeing what special dynamic he or she brings to our family. Table for 4 sounds perfect!” The couple is already parents to a boy named Gideon. They got married in May of 2017 and Joy-Anna said this spring that she was due in 2019. Tragically, however, this is no longer the case. We had gone in for our 20-week ultrasound and gender reveal. It was a baby girl, they revealed in this new Instagram message , continuing as follows: Although we don’t understand why, God has given us unexplainable peace and comfort during this very difficult time. Yes, it still hurts and we have cried countless tears, but we know that we can trust the Lord. In the words of King David after the loss of his baby, “I shall go to him, but he shall not return to me” (2 Sam 12:23). We don’t grieve as those who have no hope because we trust that we will see this little one again. One in four women suffer a miscarriage. But it’s unusual for this to happen after five months of a pregnancy. We truly cannot imagine what Joy-Anna, who had been excitedly showing off her baby bump , is feeling right now. To conclude their post, she and Austin confirmed the name of their late daughter and wrote: We named her Annabell Elise. Annabell means “God has favored me”, and Elise means “God satisfies”. What a precious thing to know that when our daughter opened her eyes, the first thing she saw was the face of Jesus. Please pray for continued healing, not only physically but for our hearts as well. Joy-Anna wrapped the post with this quote by Fanny Crosby: All the way my Savior leads me; What have I to ask beside? Can I doubt His tender mercy, Who through life has been my Guide? Heavenly peace, divinest comfort, Here by faith in Him to dwell! For I know, whatever befall me, Jesus doeth all things well, For I know, whatever befall me, Jesus doeth all things well. The miscarriage comes less than a month after grandma Mary Duggar’s death, and it also comes while a numner of other Duggars are expecting. Josh and Anna have announced a sixth child is on the way, while Joseph and Kendra are expecting … and so are Josiah and Lauren. Cousin Amy Duggar is also pregnant with her first child. All focus right now is on Joy-Anna and Austin, however. “We were so sad to hear that Joy and Austin’s baby girl passed away mid-way through their pregnancy,” Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar wrote on Instagram in response to this news, adding: “The pain of losing a child is unimaginable. Yet, for the one whose hope is in God, there is a peace that surpasses our finite understanding. “We pray that God will comfort Joy and Austin and carry them through this difficult time.” Wrote Jessa Seewald, who welcomed a daughter this past May: “@AustinandJoyforsyth our hearts are breaking over your loss. “Such beautiful words you’ve written in your post. Josiah Duggar and Lauren Swanson also experienced a miscarriage late last year, sharing the news with supporters in February. Derick Dillard’s Brother Revealed to Be Opioid-Addicted Atheist?

It doesn’t take much to stir up controversy in the Duggar family. The Counting On Clan is so ultra-conservative that the sight of female Duggar wearing pants instead of a floor-length skirt is enough to spark a heated debate. So you can imagine Jim Bob and Michelle’s chagrin over Derick Dillard and the extent to which Jill Duggar’s husband seems to revel in stirring up scandals. As you probably know, Derick was fired from Counting On  back in 2017 after making bigoted comments about a trans teen on social media. Jill quit the show as a show of solidarity, and the couple has been doing some serious belt-tightening ever since. The Duggars preach that material wealth is a sign of God’s love and approval, so they’re probably not thrilled about Derick’s decision to toss a couple of six-figure careers out the window. But at least Jim Bob and Michelle can be glad that Jill didn’t wind up with Derick’s brother Dan. If you follow the family closely, you may know that the Duggars had some misgivings about Jill marrying into the Dillard clan, primarily because his family is made up of relatively normal people with normal problems. The Dillards are conservative evangelicals, just like the Duggars (otherwise, the union would not have been approved), but they’re not wealthy, and they’re not as absurdly orthodox in their religious beliefs. The family has endured a number of hardships, including the death of Derick’s father, as well as his mother’s battle with stage four non-Hodgkins lymphoma. Now, Cathy Dillard has detailed her fight with cancer as well as some other family travails, in the dramatically-titled memoir, I Shall Not Die: My Walk Through the Valley of Death. But thus far, the media focus on the book has had less to do with Cathy’s cancer and more to do with hints that her son Dan was briefly a non-believer with a major substance abuse problem. “As I recall, he described how he had been running from God, and he had finally quit running and surrendered, letting Jesus come in and take over,” Cathy writes. “He now realized that had been a decision of his head and not his heart,” she continues. “He had grown up in church and knew all the right things to do and say, but in his words, he had ‘been living a double life.’ He never turned his life over to Jesus.” Dan’s Facebook post seems to corroborate his mother’s account of his “misspent” youth. The father of one revealed that he was on “a path to self-destruction” as recently as 2016. “The past year has been an incredibly difficult journey full of struggles and pain, but one that I have not had to go through alone,” Dan wrote at the time. “This journey is only beginning. If you are reading this, know that I am praying for you and what you are going through right now.” While neither Dan nor his mother went into detail regarding his struggles, fans have reached some conclusions based on his involvement in the fight against opioid addiction. “Enjoyed speaking today at our Boone County Opioid Prevention Project kickoff,” Dan recently wrote on Instagram. “Thanks to the Criminal Justice Institute for their partnership in this initiative #DFC #CJI #Prevention #ReversingTrends.” Whatever his struggles may have been, however, Dan seems to have arrived at a happy ending — he and wife Deena welcomed a baby boy in September. John David Duggar & Abbie Burnett Go Silent on Social Media: Is Their Marriage In Trouble ALREADY?!

For a long time, the children of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar were forbidden to join social media until they were in relationship that appeared to be headed toward marriage. This rule was loosened somewhat to allow Jana Duggar to join Instagram even though she’s still single. Like so much of what the Duggars do, it makes little to no sense, but the Counting On clan seems to feel no need to explain themselves. So for whatever reason, the very minor pleasure of uploading pics and liking posts are generally restricted to Duggars who have found their match. Which is why it’s so weird that John David Duggar and Abbie Burnett have already ghosted their Instagram followers. John David and Abbie got married  in November, and they launched a joint account shortly after their courtship began. On May 12, the couple posted the pic below, along with a caption announcing a contest in honor of Mother’s Day; “Happy Mother’s Day to all the moms out there!!!” going on to announce a contest to “win a whole new wardrobe from [Citrus and Lemon].” But it’s not the redundancy of the name Citrus and Lemon that has fans upset. No, it’s the fact that John David and Abbie never announced a winner for their contest — in fact, after that post they appear tyo have disappeared from social media entirely. Yes, after waiting their entire adult lives to haop aboard the Instagram train, these two basically got off at the first stop. It’s been almost two months since that post, and John and Abbie have nit updated their page since. Duggar obsessives follow the family’s every move, so it’s no surprise that many are concerned about the sudden disappearance. “Are you guys ok??” one fan asked. “Abby girl! What happen? Wheres you and john these days?” another commented. “Abby please post more you and john. We miss ya. Unless there is a reason we will find out later,” a third remarked. “You are a perfect match and one of my.favorite couples on counting on!” Now, the most likely explanation is that Abbie and John David quickly realized that they missed the brief period in which social media was anything other than a cesspool of bigotry and political hot takes, and they made the wise decision to bail on the whole scene. But because this is the internet in 2019, the most likely explanation has been shoved aside in favor of scandalous hot takes. Some fans are speculating that there’s trouble in paradise, but the most common theory seems to be that Abbie is secretly pregnant . “Your (sic) next in line for baby time,” wrote a third. “Well!!!!! Any big (gotta wait 9mo) news?” another asked. And her behavior in order to drive him out of her home went overboard — alarmingly so. While fans sympathize with her given that he had repeatedly cheated on her and then lied to her at every opportunity, many were upset with her actions. Now, with a cooler head, nearly seven months after that scene was filmed, Ashley is acknowledging that she went too far. Taylor Swift BLASTS Scooter Braun, Is "Grossed Out" Manager Now Owns Her Music

As previously detailed, Taylor Swift has buried the hatchet with Katy Perry . But she’s just gone ahead and brandished another sharp weapon, this time pointing in the direction of music manager extraordinnaire Scooter Braun… … and basically using all of its figurative might on social media. Here’s the somewhat confusing deal: Braun is very good friends with clients such as Ariana Grande and Justin Bieber. A giant in the entertainment field, Braun’s media holding company (Ithaca Holdings LLC) announced in a statement on Sunday that it and Big Machine Label Group reached a “finalized contract” under which Ithaca Holdings will acquire the latter company. Why is this relevant? Because the latter is Swift’s former record label. The deal, made for a reported $300 million, includes Big Machine Music — which means the following; Braun’s company will now control all six albums that Swift has released to date, as well as music from other top artists such as Reba McEntire, Sheryl Crow, and Lady Antebellum. And this does NOT sit well with Swift. Not. At. All. “For years I asked, pleaded for a chance to own my work,” Swift wrote on her Tumblr page on Sunday. She then continued, clearly irate: “Instead I was given an opportunity to sign back up to Big Machine Records and ‘earn’ one album back at a time, one for every new one I turned in. I walked away because I knew once I signed that contract, [Big Machine founder] Scott Borchetta would sell the label, thereby selling me and my future. “I had to make the excruciating choice to leave behind my past. “Music I wrote on my bedroom floor and videos I dreamed up and paid for from the money I earned playing in bars, then clubs, then arenas, then stadiums.” And then there was this kicker from Swift: Some fun facts about today’s news: I learned about Scooter Braun’s purchase of my masters as it was announced to the world. All I could think about was the incessant, manipulative bullying I’ve received at his hands for years. To what is Taylor referring to here? As part of her Tumblr post, Swift shared a photo on her blog that featured Braun, Bieber and Kanye West… posted back during the height of the Taylor-Kanye-Kim Kardashian feud , shortly after Kim outed Swift as an alleged liar in the summer of 2016. Swift drew a red circle around Braun’s face on her post and wrote: “This is Scooter Braun, bullying me on social media when I was at my lowest point. He’s about to own all the music I’ve ever made.” In her Tumplr post, Swift provided examples of supposed bullying by Braun. “Like when Kim Kardashian orchestrated an illegally recorded snippet of a phone call to be leaked and then Scooter got his two clients together to bully me online about it. (See photo). Or when his client, Kanye West, organized a revenge porn music video which strips my body naked.” Concluded Swift in her emotional blog entry: “Now Scooter has stripped me of my life’s work, that I wasn’t given an opportunity to buy. “Essentially, my musical legacy is about to lie in the hands of someone who tried to dismantle it. This is my worst case scenario. This is what happens when you sign a deal at 15 to someone for whom the term ‘loyalty’ is clearly just a contractual concept. “And when that man says, ‘Music has value,’ he means its value is beholden to men who had no part in creating it.” Braun has now yet responded to these charges, but Bieber actually has. He jumped on Instagram late Sunday and strongly defended his close pal and business associate. We’re just gonna leave his entire response here: Hey Taylor. First of all i would like to apologize for posting that hurtful instagram post, at the time i thought it was funny but looking back it was distasteful and insensitive.. I have to be honest though it was my caption and post that I screenshoted of scooter and Kanye that said “taylor swift what up” he didnt have anything to do with it and it wasnt even a part of the conversation in all actuality he was the person who told me not to joke like that.. Scooter has had your back since the days you graciously let me open up for you.! As the years have passed we haven’t crossed paths and gotten to communicate our differences, hurts or frustrations. So for you to take it to social media and get people to hate on scooter isn’t fair. What were you trying to accomplish by posting that blog? seems to me like it was to get sympathy u also knew that in posting that your fans would go and bully scooter. Anyway, One thing i know is both scooter and i love you. I feel like the only way to resolve conflict is through communication. So banter back and fourth online i dont believe solves anything. I’m sure Scooter and i would love to talk to you and resolve any conflict, pain or or any feelings that need to be addressed. Neither scooter or i have anything negative to say about you we truly want the best for you. I usually don’t rebuttal things like this but when you try and deface someone i loves character thats crossing a line.

Jay Smith Sends Fans a Message: Will He Run to Avoid Deportation?

Sunday night’s 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? showed Ashley calling 911 on Jay and kicking him out of the house. Even so, they eventually reconciled and were together for another three months … before Jay’s cheating caused yet another breakup. Now, Jay is facing imminent deportation, and is spending his remaining time in the US … getting a tattoo. On his face. Jay Smith went live on Instagram (which he has set to private at the moment, probably to avoid backlash after Sunday night’s episode). He showed himself receiving a facial tattoo on the right side of his face, near and above his eye, by his temple. While the end result of the tattoo remains unclear, it appears to be a silhouette of Jamaica, his home country. Jay is a tattoo artist and his passionate about tattoos. But fans are a little surprised. Is he trying to send a message before he gets deported? Viewers who only keep up with what’s airing on TV have already seen Ashley kick Jay out of the house and call the police on him. Ashley did file for divorce on January 11 of 2019, which was after he cheated on her by boning some girl in the barbershop bathroom. But just days later, Ashley had a health crisis — she was found unresponsive at home and rushed to the hospital. Ashley had experienced kidney failure, believed to be a symptom of her lupus. Jay rushed to be by her side. Just 11 days after filing for divorce, Ashley withdrew her papers. Things were good … until Ashley and Jay split up in April. She accuses him of cheating and more. Ashley has already spoken on Instagram about the consequences that Jay is facing. “He will be deported on Aug. 7,” Ashley announced recently. “Unless he runs,” she predicted. “Which is what I’m assuming he’s probably [planning].” Yikes. “The thing that’s really frustrating,” Ashley expressed. “Is he’s here illegally now. …” Jay and Ashley did get married, so some are saying that it may be Ashley’s fault for not filing the right papers on her husband. “I did file for his adjustment of status,” Ashley clarified. “And then two weeks later,” she recalled. “He screwed up again.” “So,” Ashley added. “I withdrew it.” She didn’t want to be held legally and financially responsible for a guy who used her so that he could some lay pipe in the US. “ICE has already been here to arrest him,” Ashley revealed. “They know where he works.” “I mean obviously, if they come to my house at this point, I’m gonna tell them where he’s at,” she warns. It’s easy to confuse any discussion of immigration or deportation with the nightmarish child concentration camps along the US border. However, Ashley is referring to a legal deportation, not asking the US government to commit additional crimes against humanity. “So,” Ashley said. “I’m not sure why he’s still sticking around.” She then added: “because we got a letter three weeks ago saying he has an active warrant for his arrest.” “It’s not ‘if.’ He ‘is’ going to get deported,” Ashley told her followers. “And he knows he is.” “And he even called me,” she claims. “He went to the attorney, and he said like, ‘I’m f–ked.’” “Like he even offered money,” Ashley accuses. “Like, ‘Can I pay you to withdraw the divorce?’” We’re not sure where Jay would expect to get enough money to make that offer tempting to Ashley, who appears to be doing well for herself. While elements of Ashley’s reaction to Jay have rubbed people the wrong way, few if any 90 Day Fiance viewers are Team Jay. The ones who are are, well, mostly just horny for him. In the mean time, if Jay is really planning on going into hiding to avoid deportation, we’re not sure how long that will last. The dude has a tattoo of another country on his face . June Shannon: Stealing Money from Alana Thompson for Gambling, Drugs?

From Not To Hot star June Shannon is so adamant about staying with Geno Doak that daughter Alana Thompson refuses to come home . But while Alana is physically safe with her sister, is her reality TV fortune safe? Alana’s family is afraid that June will dip into Alana’s funds to pay for gambling, drugs, or her terrible boyfriend. The family has a plan to stop it. TMZ   has learned that Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson’s rep is taking no chances. That agent has recently had an attorney step in to secure the 13-year-old reality star’s finances. Despite bein a middle schooler, online sources say that Alana’s estimated net worth is a whopping $800,000. But now Alana’s money has been moved to a new account. June will not be able to touch the account — not for gambling, not for drugs, and not to appease her cheating nightmare boyfriend, Geno Doak. Now, you might read this and think “okay, she has a new bank account, but the rest is just speculation.” We are sad to report that it’s not. According to the family sources who spoke to  TMZ , the family has real fears about what June might do in her current state of mind. That absolutely includes concern that she might tap into any funds available — even her own daughter’s. Drug addiction and gambling addiction are both afflictions that prey upon the brain’s reward systems — all other priorities go out the window. And, as fans have already seen, Geno has her wrapped around his finger. Alana’s rep wasn’t taking any chances. If Alana’s money is locked away, how are her needs being met? Alana may be very accomplished for her age, but she is 13 years old. She can’t just drive to the bank herself. Instead,  TMZ  reports that Lauryn “Pumpkin” Shannon, her older sister, can access small amounts of Alana’s money. She has to provide documentation each time that it happens to prove that she’s using the money for Alana. This makes a lot of sense. Lauryn is trustworthy, and Alana is already staying with her. Why is Alana staying with her sister instead of at her home home with her mother? It’s simple — she’s not staying any place where Geno is. Alana has been adamant about this — she loves her mother, but is afraid for her mother’s life. She tried to force June to choose between her beloved daughter and her good-for-nothing cheating husband. June, it seems, has accepted Alana’s departure and chosen Geno and, allegedly, crack cocaine. Geno hasn’t exactly been a prince. In addition to getting arrested alongside June and allegedly cheating on her, he appears to have … crashed a car into her house. A neighbor recorded a video that appeared to show a disoriented Geno struggle to get out of the car. In the mean time, June arrived in a see-through gown and tried to wrangle Geno inside the house. We cannot speak to whatever may or may not have been in Geno’s bloodstream influencing him. But he did not appear to be in any state to drive. As viewers of From Not To Hot have now seen to their chagrin, June’s family and loved ones tried to have an intervention for her. The intervention was not a success. June was adamant about not doing any in-patient, overnight treatment. That sounded like madness, and it was, as Lauryn explained to viewers. As it turns out, June is so afraid of losing Geno that she won’t go to rehab despite the tearful pleas of her family . If she goes to rehab, she’s afraid that she won’t be able to keep an eye on Geno. She’s so far gone that she can’t see that he’s not worth keeping. This is heartbreaking. Rihanna & Seth Meyers Just Became BFFs After Getting Day Drunk Together!

Rihanna and Seth Meyers are our new favorite drinking buddies.  During last night’s boozy episode of  Late Night With Seth Meyers , the singer joined the host for a nice afternoon of day drinking.  And by nice I mean they got totally white girl wasted. And the footage was quite incredible.  The menu was comprised of signature drinks inspired by the Grammy winner, which included:  Under My Rum-brella (rum, chocolate rum balls, rum raisin ice cream, and many umbrellas); Diamonds in the Rye (rye whiskey and blue diamond milk); and Bitch Better Have my Bunny (chocolate bunny and tequila). Oh, and last but not least, We Found Veuve in a Hostess Place, which was champagne and twinkies.  Rihanna was not a fan of that cocktail in particular, but Seth gladly devoured his delicious creation.  “Now it’s time for our first drinking game,” Seth explained to an understandably confused RiRi.  “I feel like we’ve just been drinking. This is a game. There are right or wrong answers.” Pulling up past photos of Rihanna’s most iconic outfits, he began quizzing her on where she wore each specific look. The rules were pretty straightforward:  If she got it right, he drank.  If she was wrong, she drank.  But Seth wasn’t very good at the game because he asked her the simplest of questions!  Remember when she basically dressed as the Pope to the 2018 Met Gala?   Yeah, so did she.  Seth downed 2 shots while Rihanna said, “We’re in for a wild day!” Continuing up their first round of fun, they followed with a different activity.  “I think we all know bartenders are really good at giving advice,” said Seth. “I’m going to give you a drink and I want to give you the opportunity to ask me anything you want to ask me and I will give you advice on it.” Rihanna asked (hypothetically!) what other profession she should pursue if she were to quit music. “Pilot school,” said Seth. “Because, why not?” He then asked, “I want to, like, blow my wife away with a romantic night out. What do I do?” “You said it,” explains Rihanna. “Blow your wife.” Her hilarious response shocked the host as he said, “Rihanna! This is a network television show!” The new besties then exchanged and practiced pick up lines on each other while furthering their alcohol intake.  And before the two eventually called it a day (and probably ended up over the toilet) Rihanna gave Seth a makeover using her Fenty beauty collection . “You have wrinkles,” she told him, as he began performing a questionable rendition of her 2016 hit, “Work”. Clearly, the two were in a good place and enjoying each other’s company because RiRi asked, “Can we have another shot?!” (& they did)  Unfortunately, the show had to wrap and announce last call for now.  But it’s safe to say we took one special thing away from this segment:   Rihanna takes tequila shots without a lime.  She did it multiple times throughout the segment and we can’t even act like we weren’t impressed. E. Jean Carroll: Journalist Accuses Donald Trump of Sexual Assault

Back in the simpler world of 2015, many believed that sexual misconduct allegations against Donald Trump would prevent the reality-star-turned-demagogue from being elected president. Obviously, that turned out not to be the case, and the current climate in the United States is about what one would expect from a country that’s presided over by an accused rapist. As a longtime denizen of the New York literary scene who once cohabited with Hunter S. Thompson, journalist and author E. Jean Carroll is certainly no stranger to bad behavior from powerful men. She details several traumatic encounters with toxic male behavior in an excerpt from her upcoming memoir that was published on Friday on New York Magazine ‘s website. One account has attracted far more attention than the other, as the alleged assailant went on to become the President of the United States. Carroll says she met Trump while shopping at Manhattan’s Bergdorf Goodman department store in “the fall of 1995 or the spring of 1996.” Both she and Trump were in their fifties at the time, and he was married to his second wife, Marla Maples. Carroll writes that Trump told her he was shopping for a present “for a girl” and asked for her help. He suggested lingerie and convinced her to try it on for him. Once she was in the dressing room, Carroll claims, Trump assaulted her. “The next moment, still wearing correct business attire, shirt, tie, suit jacket, overcoat, he opens the overcoat, unzips his pants, and, forcing his fingers around my private area, thrusts his penis halfway — or completely, I’m not certain — inside me,” Carroll writes. “It turns into a colossal struggle.” Obviously, there’s nothing funny about this horrific allegation. But Carroll deserves credit for hitting Trump where it hurts and understanding that he’s more likely to be upset by the suggestion that he might be sporting a half-wang than by yet another allegation of sexual assault. After all, she is now the sixteenth woman to accuse the president of some form of sexual misconduct, and thus far, Trump hasn’t even come close to suffering any sort of repercussions. No criminal investigation, no impeachment, not even a formal censure. It’s always an act of bravery to come forward against a sexual predator, but when said predator is the most powerful man in the world and has been getting away with this sort of thing his entire life, calling him out publicly requires unfathomable courage. We applaud Carroll for coming forward and encourage anyone who might be in her position to do the same. After all, it’s becoming increasingly evident that our future relies on fearless individuals willing to defend the ideals and values that were once protected by law and order.
