(Photos by Tibrina Hobson/Cassy Athena/Getty) Gloria Govan Loses Custody Of Her Children This divorce is nasty! Gloria Govan’s custodial rights have been revoked as of today. A California judge just granted Matt Barnes sole legal and physical custody of their twin 10-year-old sons according to a breaking TMZ report . After granted Barnes sole custody of the kids, the judge ordered ex-wife Govan to complete 26 sessions of anger management and 10 parenting classes. Matt also reportedly obtained an 18-month restraining order against Gloria claiming she’s a physical danger to him. But Gloria doesn’t TOTALLY lose out on raising her kids. The restraining order was granted through May 2020 but does not extend to the kids. The judge doesn’t believe Gloria poses a danger to them. Gloria will get regular visitation — that is every other weekend from Friday until Monday morning. She is also allowed to have dinner with the kids every Wednesday evening. This decision comes after months of bickering back in forth inside and outside of the courtroom over their children. The exes had an explosive argument that resulted in Gloria’s arrest. Matt reported she allegedly flew into a rage in her car , blocking Matt and the kids from driving away from their school. Gloria’s charges for criminal child endangerment were dropped. This decision is good news for Matt Barnes who was looking to lower his $20,000 a month child support payments. Matt recently filed documents claiming he pays tuition and takes care of all the necessities for his kiddies. Right now, Matt makes $161,000 per month (until 2020), according to docs obtained by The Blast . Whew, child!

Exclusive: Judge Issues Warrant For Laura Govan Over Gilbert Arenas Suit

Latest Legal Battle Between One Time Couple NBA star Gilbert Arenas’ battle with his baby mama – who he sued over alleged lies about him giving her an STD – is turning nasty. A Los Angeles judge has issued a bench warrant for Laura Govan after she didn’t turn up for a hearing on the suit yet again, BOSSIP has learned. Arenas sued Govan – with whom he shares 4 kids – for defamation, accusing her of concocting a scheme to humiliate him in the press – and spreading lies about him giving her STD’s. He explained Govan was bitter after he broke up with her. She decided to write an email to him with the line, “When I left you it was because I couldn’t take the STDs.” However, he claimed it was lies and she leaked it to the media, according to court docs. The judge awarded Arenas a default judgment in the amount of $110,100 and ordered Govan to pay up to her baby daddy Back in January, Arenas filed docs in the case demanding Govan produce her financial information and records for him to examine the amount of assets and property in her possession in order to collect on the $110,000 he is owed. Then recently, the exes were to appear in court, where Arenas was supposed to finally inspect Govan’s financial records because of the judgment he won against her. The hearing was set for June 23rd but once again Govan blew off the hearing and did not show up, according to court records. As a result, the judge issued a bench warrant and ordered bond in the amount of $5,000. The hearing was continued until next month and Arena’s lawyers were instructed to inform Govan to show up or face more consequences by the judge.

Laura Govan might look funny but she ain’t no dummy! Via NY Daily News reports : Laura Govan wants VH1 to show her the money. The “Basketball Wives LA” star, who is engaged to Gilbert Arenas, told Confidenti@l that her four small children won’t see any more airtime until she sees more cash. “If they want to see my kids, they have to pay me,” Govan insisted. Her youngest has appeared on the show once as a baby. Govan’s fiancé previously played for the Washington Wizards, where Arenas was once suspended for pulling a pistol on a teammate in the locker room. He now plays for the Shanghai Sharks. Gloria Govan and Matt Barnes’ split may have not come as a surprise to the viewers of “Basketball Wives” – a show that follows the exes, informal girlfriends, and jump-off’s of NBA ballers. Though the two seemed solid on screen, Barnes released a statement last week revealing that the two have decided to go their separate ways. Gloria spoke to VH1 during the show’s reunion show taping: Can you talk about your split? Matt and I do have kids and we’re trying to be as cordial as we can right now and we’ll be in each other’s lives forever, but as relationships go, we have our ups and downs. It hasn’t been an easy ride moving across the country twice, having kids at 21 when I just graduated college, it hasn’t been easy. And now Matt has the lockout, so everything has been stressful with the breakup, the lockout, everything, it’s been a whirlwind. But we’re still friends and we’re still working things out and I wish him nothing but the best. You sister said she thinks you’ll get back together. Of course she does. My whole family is rooting for that man. I swear. They would pick him over me. I’ve learned my lesson, never say never and I think anything is possible, but right now I’m taking my time to grow as an individual. Not only for myself but for my family. We’ll see. I’m not going to say never, I’m optimistic, but for now…we’re going our separate ways. But if our paths cross again it’s meant to be. For now, we’re just taking our time to do our own thing. Ladies, is it just us, or could the man who left us with four kids, including a newborn, never get so much as the time of day from us again in life? Laura Govan clearly doesn’t ascribe to that way of thinking. ESSENCE.com: You refer to Gilbert as your fiancé. You two are back together? GOVAN: Yes, we are, and we plan to get married soon. When and where, I don’t know yet. I feel like we’re already married though, ten years, four kids later. People say he’s a mess, and I’m a mess. You know what, we’re each other’s messes. Everybody has breakup and make-up moments. It just so happens that ours is out in the public. You learn to grow. At this point in our lives Gilbert and I have been there, done that; the drama, the chaos. We’re older now, and we’re more mature. Now we’re better parents, and we’re taking the steps to make things better. Regardless of our past, we want our kids to see a good future. Ooooh… sounds a little enabler-ish, doesn’t it? ESSENCE.com: Gilbert had a lawsuit trying to stop you from being on the show. Why do you think he didn’t want you on it and why was it important for you to be on it? GOVAN: A lot of people don’t know that Gilbert is really shy. He didn’t want things about our family to be out there. But at the end of the day, things about our family are already out there so I thought let’s take control of the things we can. It was also important for me to do the show because, one, I wanted to do something on my own. I’m always in his shadow. “Basketball Wives,” VH1′s hit show, is going cross country to Los Angeles. Though the original series takes place in Miami, you’ll still see some familiar faces on the “LA” season when it airs on August 29. Gloria Govan, the wife of Matt Barnes (of the Los Angeles Lakers) who famously feuded with all the “Basketball Wives” when she appeared on the first season, has surprisingly signed on for the LA season. (We think it’s because she’s got her sister Laura Govan as back-up this time around. If you don’t remember, Laura was rumored to be having an affair with Shaq while Shaunie was married to him). Laura Govan checking Gilbert Arenas assets all the way to the bank!!! How in the world do you get served during the NBA game??? Did they have to buy a ticket to the game in order to do this??? A process server stopped Arenas as he walked off the court Thursday night against the Miami Heat. The court documents, obtained by The Associated Press, were a California petition filed by Laura Mendoza Govan. She identifies herself as his ex-girlfriend in the documents. The petition seeks custody and child support for three children that Govan says Arenas fathered and has since “financially cut off.” She is also seeking support for another unborn child. After being outed on his lavish spending, Gilbert Arenas called into a radio show to dispute the lies: People facing expensive court battles usually keep quiet, but the former Wizard was awfully chatty in his call into our colleague Mike Wise’s 106.7 FM radio show. It’s all lies, Arenas claimed — except the bit about what Govan said he spends on his legendary shark tank. Yes, it’s really five grand a month: “I’d rather spend $5,000 on my fish than have a drinking problem.” The sharks, he claimed, have died, because of “somebody throwing pennies in the fish tank.” No names. Otherwise, he accused Govan of overhyping his finances. “If you look back at the last couple breakups of any NBA athlete… it’s a format they all go by to get more child support money… This is not ‘Basketball Wives.’… These girls got to stop living a fantasy world.” As for him: “You make bad choices as an adult, and we pick the wrong woman sometime.” Ouch. Govan did not reply by press time. These two are really something else. What we don’t understand is… if this fool kept putting you out every other weekend, why in the hell did you have 4 babies by him??? Source
