Charlie Sheen has been on a media blitz in recent days, lashing out at the producers of “Two and Half Men” for canceling production for the remainder of the current, or eighth season. His public bashing of series co-creator Chuck Lorre eventually prompted CBS to cancel the rest of the show#39;s season. Last week, a Los Angeles judge issued a restraining order against the actor, who was forced to turn over his two children to estranged wife Brooke Mueller, who claimed in court papers that Sheen

Lupe describes being held hostage by Atlantic, says next album is done Lupe Fiasco struggled to release his third album on Atlantic Records. It took over three years and picketing from fans before Lupe followed up his gold-selling The Cool . Despite platinum singles, gold plaques and Grammy Awards, the Chicago native said his budget was cut and he was stiffled creatively. “I was specifically told” — Fiasco chuckled — “‘Don’t rap too deep on this record.’” He laughed some more, telling the Chicago Sun-Times . “That was a specific order from the top. ‘You’re rapping too fast or too slow, or it’s too complex.’ … There are consequences and combat that comes from that process and the eventual compromise. With me, though, I’m not writing about someone else. I’m writing about me. This is my life. It’s very personal for me. So for somebody to kind of put their fingers in that and play with that, it becomes more damaging.” “I am a hostage,” Fiasco continued. “I gave them what they wanted. If I didn’t, at the end of the day the album wasn’t coming out.” The potentially good news for fans is that Lupe was busy recording his next album The Great American Rap Album while he was working on Lasers . He hopes to have that out before the end of 2011.
‘She outdoes herself each time,’ one Gaga fan tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena Lady Gaga Photo: Dimitrios Kambouris/ WireImage Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way” music video premieres on Monday (February 28), and the star’s dedicated legion of Little Monsters cannot wait to see what their Mother Monster has up her sleeve in the Nick Knight-directed music video. When MTV News spoke to a small grouping of Gaga’s loyal fans, they revealed what they think might make the final cut of the video, which was a collaboration between Knight, the singer’s Haus of Gaga creative team and choreographer Laurieann Gibson. A fan named Emily guessed that the clip might seek some inspiration from Gaga’s stark, egg-y Grammy Awards spectacle earlier this month. “Maybe kind of like her Grammy performance,” she pondered. “I don’t know. I have no idea. You never know what the hell she’s gonna come up with.” “She outdoes herself each time and each time she uses a different director,” Leslie Perkins said. “And each time is beyond the last one. I’m expecting nothing less than fabulous.” Cayley couldn’t quite put her finger on what the video might look like. She explained, “I don’t know! I can only imagine!” Mon Cherie and her pal, Pam Kitten, figure that something somewhat shocking will probably come of it all. “There’s not much more of an egg, hon!” Mon Cherie joked. “She comes out of an elephant poop! I don’t know! Nothing shocks me. Lady Gaga — whatever she do is fantastic.” Some of those same fans recently dished to MTV News about what the song “Born This Way” means to them as Gaga ushers in a new phase of her career. “Do what you want to do!” Mon Cherie previously noted. “I mean, keep it real, keep it safe and keep it legal, but you got to do you, hon.” Lisa explained that the tune “means no matter what you are, who you are, who you want to be, you just can’t help it, because you were born this way.” Meanwhile, Gaga revealed during a recent visit to “The Gayle King Show” that she also plans to put out a second “Born This Way” video. The singer said that clip, which will accompany a stripped-down version of the song, “will be released on iTunes.” She added that “a portion of the money raised selling the song [will] go towards an anti-bully charity.”

He’s my friend.” “I think it’s awesome people are interested – I don’t understand why,” she laughed at the time. source:tattletailzz
Traditionally the road to fame and fortune was paved with actual talent : superior singing ability, exceptional acting skills or god-given athletic attributes. But as of late, a new breed of celebrity is proving that you don’t actually need to have talent to be the next hot topic, you just need to have sex with someone who does. Celebs who have already used their talent to get into the building, are quickly learning that a leaked sex tape, nude pic or a juicy, detailed tell all novel will keep them there. Talent’s great and all but we all know what’s really entertaining are wardrobe malfunctions, paternity tests, divorces due to infidelity and random groupie tales on how your favorite rapper cries during sex. Oh, how I long for the good ole’ days where groupies and mistresses silently played their part in the background, instead of building their retirement plans off of scandal and scorn leaving many young women to wonder. “Education and work? Please, I can make my first million through opportunity, sex and indiscretion.” Continue reading
We’re not quite sure why, or whose career they’re hoping to save, but Warner Bros has decided to remake it’s 1992 Grammy Award-winning, “cult classic” flop, The Bodyguard. The Bodyguard will be scripted by Jeremiah Friedman and Nick Palmer, whose action comedy script ‘Family Getaway’ made the 2010 Black List and is a priority project at Warner Bros. Dan Lin will produce through his Lin Pictures banner, and Mark Bauch is co-producer, stated Deadline.com. Original written by Lawrence Kasdan and directed by Mick Jackson, the film centered around a Secret Service agent (played by Costner) who has to protect a well-known singer (played by Houston) from a stalker. While doing his job, he falls in love in her which complicates his duties. The sites states that the new version is similar, including the love story, but here the bodyguard will be a former Iraq war veteran who gets the job protecting the star as his first gig after leaving the Army. He discovers that the world of Twitter, Google Maps and TMZ has made access to celebrities easier than ever, making the job more difficult than ever. The goal is to take a young female singer with global appeal and give her the platform that ‘The Bodyguard’ did Houston. While the film received mixed to negative reviews, including a Razzie Award nomination for Houston for Worst Actress, ‘The Bodyguard’ was a global blockbuster hit, grossing over $400 million. Two songs from the film, ‘Run to You’ and ‘I Have Nothing,’ were nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song. The film was also nominated for four Grammy Awards, winning three, including Album of the Year for its soundtrack album of the same name. Let’s see: Auntie Whitney is all strung out on rocks and Costner post-Bodyguard career was full of box office bombs. What D-Listers do you see ready to fill those shoes?? Source

Singer is now allowed near ex-girlfriend Rihanna if he doesn’t ‘annoy’ her. By Ryan J. Downey Chris Brown Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Chris Brown is legally allowed near Rihanna again. In a downtown Los Angeles court on Tuesday, a judge altered the restraining order imposed upon the singer following his brutal beating of then-girlfriend Rihanna after a 2009 pre-Grammy Awards party. The restraining order has been replaced by a “level one order.” Brown, who was in court with his attorney Mark Geragos, is now allowed to be around Rihanna, provided he abides by certain conditions. “I’m approving the order,” Judge Patricia Schnegg told Brown, according to Radar Online . “You can’t annoy, molest, or conduct surveillance of the person on the order.” Rihanna was not present in the courtroom, but her lawyer, Donald Etra, was. “I have spoken with my client, and she does not object to it being modified to a level one order,” he said. It’s been just over two years since the assault, which resulted in Brown being ordered to stay at least 50 feet away from Rihanna. Brown pleaded guilty to assault and was sentenced to five years probation and more than 1400 hours of “labor-oriented service.” In November, Schnegg praised Brown for his progress since his initial sentencing. “Of all probationers I’ve ever had, and I’ve had thousands of probationers, no one has ever done a better or more consistent job than you have,” the judge said at a progress hearing, and on Tuesday, she spoke positively of Brown’s participation in domestic violence counseling. *Ad man, brand manager and occasional consigliere to many of hip-hop’s most powerful stars, marketing mogul Steve Stoute took out a full page ad in Sunday’s New York Times Style Section blasting the Grammy Awards, its parent organizational, The National Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (NARAS), and its president, Neil Portnow, for what he feels is both increasing irrelevance and possible malfeasance. “Over the course of my 20-year history as an executive in the music business and as the owner of a firm that specializes in in-culture advertising, I have come to the conclusion that the Grammy Awards have clearly lost touch with contemporary popular culture,” he wrote in the ad, which took the form of an open letter. “The awards show has become a series of hypocrisies and contradictions, leaving me to question why any contemporary popular artist would even participate.” In particular, Stoute (pictured) focused on the relatively recent snubs of Eminem, Kayne West, and Justin Bieber, all musicians he believes have been unfairly beaten for awards by inferior artistic and commercial acts. “We must acknowledge the massive cultural impact of Eminem and Kanye West and how their music is shaping, influencing and defining the voice of a generation,” Stoute wrote of the two hip-hop superstars, adding of Bieber, “How is it that Justin Bieber, an artist that defines what it means to be a modern artist, did not win Best New Artist?” Read MORE of this story at MTV News .
