Adele: MARRIED to Simon Konecki?!

For being one of the most famous recording artists on the planet, Adele has maintained a remarkable level of privacy. Despite the personal nature of her her music, even her biggest fans don’t know much about Adele’s love life. And at last night’s 2017 Grammy Awards , she may have dropped a bombshell … Adele sang “Hello” , paid tribute go George Michael, and won just about every award that Beyonce didn’t take home, but it’s a single word the singer uttered while accepting her Album of the Year Grammy that really has fans buzzing this morning. In her speech, Adele referred to baby daddy Simon Konecki as her husband. Rumors that Adele and Konecki are married have been circulating for years, and the father of 4-year-old Angelo James is always by the music icon’s side at awards shows and other public appearances. But last night was the first time that Adele publicly confirmed that she and Konecki are hitched. Or did she? At a post-show press conference, Adele referred to Konecki simply as her “partner.” So which is it? Are Adele and Konecki married but trying to keep it low-key, and she screwed up by hitting him with the “husband” tag in front of millions. Or is Adele just one of those annoying people who calls her boyfriend her husband sometimes because they’re “practically married.” We’re leaning toward the former explanation, but you never know … What we do know is that Adele shared the night with Beyonce, and the two queens yaaaaas slayed their way all over the stage. Adele took home Grammys for Record of the Year, Album of the Year and Song of the Year, and expressed disbelief over the fact that she beat Queen Bey in all three categories. We’re sure the Bey Hive was equally shocked. But hey, there’s plenty of industry love to go around, particularly since those two split like 90% of it last night. Their relationships with fans couldn’t be much more different (Bey puts it all out there; Adele guards her privacy as best she can), but when it comes to music industry dominance, these two are sharing space at the very top of the totem pole. Al Jarreau Dies; Jazz Legend Was 76

Just days after he was forced to retire due to health issues, legendary jazz singer Al Jarreau died at a hospital in Los Angeles on Sunday. He was 76 years old. According to reports, Al Jarreau was forced into retirement, at least from touring if not from music altogether, due to serious exhaustion. The seven-time Grammy Award winner’s manager, Joe Gordon, released a statement late this afternoon, on the eve of the Grammys. Gordon said, no doubt with a very heavy heart: “Al Jarreau passed away this morning .” He died “about 5:30am L.A. time.” “[Jarreau] was in the hospital, kept comfortable by [his son] Ryan, [his wife] Susan and a few of his family and friends.” “Ryan and Susan will hold a small, private service at home, for immediate family only. No public service is planned yet.” News of his death comes five days after Jarreau announced in a post on his website that he was retiring from touring “due to exhaustion.” Jarreau’s medical team advised him not to perform his remaining 2017 tour dates, effectively putting his touring career on hold indefinitely. Al had been hospitalized in L.A., where he had been “receiving excellent medical care, responding to treatments and improving slowly.”  “Therefore, with complete sorrow, Al Jarreau must retire from touring,” effective immediately, the statement on his website read. “He is thankful for his 50 years of traveling the world in ministry through music, and for everyone who shared this with him. Jarreau went on to give thanks for “his faithful audience, the dedicated musicians and so many others who supported his effort.” The versatile singer was famously the first vocalist in music history to receive Grammy Awards in three separate categories. He took home Grammys in jazz, pop and R&B. Over a long and distinguished career spanning decades, he was perhaps best known for the 1981 hit “We’re in This Love Together.” He also performed the theme song from the ’80s TV series Moonlighting , which starred Cybill Shepherd and Bruce Willis. Our thoughts are with his family and friends. View Slideshow: Celebrities Who Died in 2017: In Memoriam

Adele Says "Hello" to 2017 Grammy Awards: WATCH!

Why…. hello there, Adele! A year after stumbling through a Grammy Awards performance that was marred by technical difficulties, everyone's favorite British singer opened the 2017 version of the event by belting out one of her all-time classics. In front of a packed crowd inside Staples Center in Los Angeles, Adele simply stood on stage Sunday night and did what she does best: Sing . The 28-year old dazzles in a sparkling dress during a rendition of “Hello,” hitting every note perfectly and performing with the sort of heart and soul we've grown used to hearing from one of the world' best artists. And then she closed the number with a shout-out to her four-year old son. “Hello baby,” she said sweetly after completing the song, presumably a reference to little Angelo James at home. Before the ceremony began, Adele won the Grammys for best pop solo performance (for “Hello”) and best pop vocal album (for 25). She's pretty darn good, isn't she? Along with an Album of the Year nomination, meanwhile, Adele's latest record earned a pop vocal album of the year nomination, while “Hello,” was up for record of the year, song of the yearand best pop solo performance. Check out her opening number now:

No Grammys For You! Frank Ocean Disqualified From 2017 Grammy Awards Due To Missed Filing Deadline

Frank Ocean Misses Deadline For 2017 Grammy Awards Well, there’s at least one name you can be sure you won’t see when the 2017 Grammy nominees are announced on December 8. Despite dropping not one, but TWO albums back to back after years of anticipation for his second project , Frank Ocean is not a contender in next year’s ceremony. Blonde (Blond) and his “visual album” Endless, each released in August — well before the Grammy deadline of September 30, 2016. According to Billboard , a source confirmed that neither album was submitted for Grammy consideration. There’s no mention of paperwork coming in late — just that none was ever filed. We’re assuming maybe Frank didn’t want to throw his hat in for the Grammy competition? We can’t imagine why that would be, though. Do you think Frank would have taken a couple trophies home if he had made it in the running?? FrankOcean.com

Lady Gaga Already Owns 2016. This is Why.

Could THG’s Celebrity of the Year race already be over? By March?!? It may very well be possible, considering the incredible two-month start to 2016 that has been enjoyed by Lady Gaga. The unprecedented run has crossed all industries, too, kicking off in early January with Gaga earning her first-ever Golden Globe Award for her role in American Horror Story: Hotel. Lady Gaga Wins First-Ever Golden Globe! It was then on to the football field in Santa Clara, as Gaga didn’t just belt out the national anthem prior to Super Bowl 50 . She totally and completely owned it: Lady Gaga National Anthem at Super Bowl 50 We may have to go all the way back to 1991 and Whitney Houston to come up with the last Super Bowl rendition of the Star-Spangled banner that was this well received. We then moved on to the Grammy Awards, where Gaga took nine minutes to pay tribute to David Bowie, dressing up as the late singer and putting on a true show-stopper. Trust us. This is worth your time: Lady Gaga Pays Tribute to David Bowie at 2016 Grammy Awards And that brings up to the Academy Awards. Gaga sang her nominated track, “Til It Happens To You,” but she did so much more than that. She sat at the piano. She put true emotion into the single. And she was surrounded by many victims of sexual abuse. It was powerful stuff. It something we can only really imagine Lady Gaga pulling off. Lady Gaga Makes Everyone Cry at the Academy Awards It’s been a whole two months, remember. And this is what Lady Gaga has already pulled off. One major awards victory. Three truly epic performances. She could stop right now and still likely earn our top honor come end of the year. You better go make another sex tape fast, Kim Kardashian . We don’t know how anyone else will be able to compete.
