Jennifer Lopez And Husband Marc LopezAnthony Will Be Distinguished Guests At President Obama’s Superbowl Party

Word on the street is that this Superbowl party is going to be one helluva soiree, what happened to our invite Barry O!?!? The guest list for President Barack Obama’s White House Super Bowl party includes entertainers Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony as well as elected leaders from Wisconsin and Pennsylvania. Obama said he’d go to the Super Bowl in Arlington, Texas, if the Bears won the NFC title against the Green Bay Packers. But his team lost and the Packers are taking on the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday. A White House spokesman said Thursday that about 100 people have been invited, including White House staff, family and friends and other members of Congress. Among those expected to attend are Attorney General Eric Holder, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano and Sens. Pat Toomey and Robert Casey Jr. of Pennsylvania and congressman Reid Ribble of Wisconsin. Former Wisconsin Gov. Jim Doyle, Madison Mayor Dave Cieslewicz and Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett were also expected. In a news release, Barrett said he and his 18-year-old son, Tommy, will bring gift baskets made by Milwaukee companies Usinger’s Sausage and Klement’s Sausage. Watching the Packers win the Super Bowl with Obama, whom he called the Bears’ fan in chief, will be “particularly satisfying,” Barrett said. Obama previously said he wouldn’t take sides in the Super Bowl. But he visited Penn State University on Thursday and told a crowd, ”I’ve got some love for the Steelers.” Obama visited Manitowoc, Wis., on Jan. 26 and received several Packers jerseys as gifts, including one signed by Packers cornerback Charles Woodson. Woodson wrote: ”See you at the White House. Go Packers.” Maybe our invite just got lost in the mail due to the weather. Yeah, that’s what happened… Source

‘American Idol’ Experts Pick Lauren Alaina, Chris Medina As Early Favorites

Naima Adedapo, Brett Loewenstern and Adrienne Beasley also among early favorites. By Gil Kaufman “American Idol” auditioner Lauren Alaina Photo: FOX Yes, it’s a bit early to start picking favorites on the two-week-old “American Idol” season. If history is any indication the producers have probably not even shown us footage of some of the most promising candidates, smartly saving the big reveal for Hollywood Week. But just four episodes in, some promising stars-in-the-making have already emerged, and the decision to drop the age minimum to 15 seems to be a brilliant idea, with a number of ninth- and 10th-graders wowing the judges. We asked a few of our “Idol” experts to pick their favorites so far, and the list was surprising, eclectic and definitely all over the map. Entertainment Weekly ‘s Annie Barrett singled out Nashville auditioner Adrienne Beasley , a black farm girl with white adoptive parents, as her favorite so far in season 10, but she name-checked a few more standouts as well. “Those parents are PERFECT for the front row at the live shows, and she seems to have a genuine spirit to go along with excellent vocal range,” Barrett said via e-mail. “It seems crazy to me that deep-voiced country singer Scotty McCreery is only 16, but he could go pretty far. The White House intern (Molly DeWolf Swenson) has a unique and surprising voice, but people might hate her because she went to Harvard and has two last names. I liked the really tall accountant/ gentle giant Steve Beghun because his vocal was huge and because he’d look even huger next to Seacrest.” Top Idol Blog ‘s Melinda Green had one name on her mind when it came to the best so far: Naima Adedapo . “Her voice is fantastic and there seems to be something very real, something genuinely likable about her,” Green said of the colorful Milwaukee singer who killed it with a gospel-tinged, slow-and-easy version of Donny Hathaway’s “For All We Know.” Like Green, judge Jennifer Lopez was really impressed. “I like you a lot,” said Lopez, who called Adedapo “the whole package.” With so many faces popping up every week, Green said it’s sometimes hard to remember all the good ones, and she’s not convinced that one of the young’uns can do it this year. “There’s a lot of talk about Lauren Alaina and Thia Megia,” she said. “But they just do nothing for me.” MTV’s own “Idol in 60 Seconds” honcho, Jim Cantiello, has also seen only a few promising singers over the first six hours of “Idol” programming. His favorite so far? ” Brett Loewenstern , the bullied redhead from Boca Raton who impressed the judges with his baby-oiled curly mane and soulful ‘Bohemian Rhapsody,’ ” Cantiello wrote. “He’s a quirky dude with an interesting voice, and I think his likable personality will connect with younger viewers.” The show’s producers definitely hyped preternaturally poised 15-year-old Alaina on Thursday night, and Cantiello said he gets it. “After last night’s audition, I can totally understand why,” he said of the high-schooler who got judge Steven Tyler to duet with her on an Aerosmith song. “She has great stage presence without being a creepy pageant-bot. She has a mature voice even though she’s not old enough to drive. And she has the potential to be molded a million different ways. She could go country, she could go pop vocal, she could go lite-FM. I’m curious to see what [‘Idol’ mentor and Interscope boss] Jimmy Iovine suggests.” His other pick to click was a contestant who didn’t get quite the same amount of screen time and buzz, but who clearly impressed him: food blogger Sarah Sellers. She tried out last week in New Orleans with “To Make You Feel My Love,” which Jim said had “a little white-girl R&B flavor, and her voice really soared once she belted. Plus, the 28-year old is a nice alternative to the teenage takeover that seems to be happening this season. Go Grandma Sellers!” Only Barrett was rooting for one of the emotional highlights of the week: Chris Medina , whose tragic tale about his fianc

Justin Bieber Super Bowl ad to plug Best Buy

NEW YORK (CNNMoney) — This year’s Super Bowl broadcast will feature star-studded ads, with Justin Bieber and Ozzy Osbourne teaming up for a Best Buy spot, and with Kim Kardashian headlining an ad for Skechers. Teen crooner Justin Bieber will star in Best Buy’s (BBY, Fortune 500) first-ever Super Bowl ad on Feb. 6, when the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers for the biggest football game of the year. Best Buy confirmed that he’ll be co-starring with the venerable heavy metal front man and reality TV star Osbourne, but didn’t provide details of how the two would be co-pitching electronics in the 30-second spot. “We’re delighted to have Justin and Ozzy help us tell the Best Buy story,” said Drew Panayiotou, senior vice president of U.S. marketing at Best Buy. “We know people have high expectations for these ads, and Justin and Ozzy add a whole new dimension of fun.” Meanwhile, Skechers (SKX) has recruited reality TV star Kardashian for a 30-second spot in which she’ll pitching Shape-ups. That’s a type of shoe that “simulates walking in sand” to burn extra calories for people who don’t have time to work out, according to Leonard Armato, president of Skechers Fitness Group. “The reason Kim is a perfect brand fit for Skechers Shape-ups is that she is an extraordinarily huge celeb and her life is as busy as it gets,” said Armato. “Between her reality show, her appearance and the fast-paced social scene that she travels in, she’s time starved.” A sneak peek at Super Bowl ads In the ad, Kardashian will “be breaking someone’s heart in front of 100 million” viewers, Armato said. Other Super Bowl ad celebrities include workout taskmaster Jillian Michaels, who will appear in a GoDaddy spot with race car driver Danica Patrick, and country singer Faith Hill, who will appear in a Teleflora spot. Fox will be broadcasting the game, which is scheduled to be played in Arlington, Texas.

Ozzy Osbourne Justin Bieber Best Buy Super Bowl Ad

Teen heartthrob Justin Bieber is teaming up with an unlikely co-star for his Super Bowl Sunday ad debut: None other than the Prince of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne . Though it was only a few months ago when Ozzy admitted that he has absolutely no idea who Justin is, the musicians co-star in Best Buy’s first Super Bowl ad as the Pittsburgh Steelers take on the Green Bay Packers in next month’s NFL Championship Game. The electronics giant is trying to appeal to both younger and mature consumers and reportedly forked over somewhere in the neighborhood of $1 million to snag the rock great and the beloved pop crooner. “ Justin Bieber is the biggest star out there, but that’s not why he’s in the spot,” Best Buy’s Marketing Chief Drew Panayiotou explained to USA TODAY Wednesday. “He symbolically represents something important to the brand message. Very rarely do you get a big brand looking to evolve into something else. We want to get this brand to a different place.” Details of Ozzy and Justin’s 30-second ad have not been released, but it was filmed earlier this month at Universal Studios in Hollywood and is expected to premiere during the third quarter of the Feb. 6 game. We hear Best Buy has also tapped The Biebs to appear in even more ads and Facebook updates for the retailer throughout the remainder of 2011. Tags: Justin Bieber , Ozzy Osbourne

Jay Sean And Lil Wayne Reunite For ‘Hit The Lights’

Sean’s second U.S. album, Freeze Time , is due in the spring. By Akshay Bhansali Jay Sean Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images After first hopping on Jay Sean ‘s U.S. debut single, “Down,” in ’09, it appears Lil Wayne has co-signed Sean’s forthcoming second U.S. album, Freeze Time , due in the spring. Wayne is featured on the project’s second single, “Hit the Lights,” following “2012 (It Ain’t the End)” featuring Nicki Minaj, which Sean released last year. The song, which leaked this weekend and will go on sale digitally February 8, is a progressive house banger made for the dance floor that could rival Britney Spears’ recent electro-house jam, “Hold It Against Me,” in the clubs. “Lights” was produced by the Orange Factory, the outfit who also crafted Sean’s last album, including radio hits “Down” and “Do You Remember,” featuring Sean Paul and Lil Jon. Now that pop music has gone “club,” it appears the Factory have returned to their dance roots with “Lights.” Orange Factory producer J Remy co-produced Dynamix’s hit “Don’t Want Another Man” featuring Tina Ann, which reached #1 on the Billboard Dance/Club Airplay Chart in November 2000. Keeping in line with Jay Sean’s “Feel good, life is good” mantra, “Lights” is a party record that begs of the listener to get themselves to a dance floor. Sean sings: “Put your lighters in the air/ Let ’em burn into the night/ And let everybody know/ That you’re with it and you’re ready to go/ Come out in the dark, and let the DJ lead the way/ ‘Cause it’s hot in the club now/ So don’t let it stop now/ So hit the lights.” And if Sean can be seen as inviting the ladies onto the dance floor, then it seems Weezy means to take over for the next phase of the party. Wayne raps: “Hit the lights so you can see/ My drink is strong, my hookah sweet/ Understand the time is now, but time is up, the future’s bleak/ This beat is stupid, cupid/ Love me, leave me in the morning/ If you like, your friend can join in.” Have you heard “Hit the Lights”?
