Hours after The Today Show anchor embarrassed himself as Pamela Anderson , Joshua Malina appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live decked out as Olivia Pope, the beloved fixer at the center of ABC’s Scandal who is portrayed by Kerry Washington. “I am so proud of Josh, he wore the hat, the gloves with style,” Tweeted show costume designer Lyn Paolo in response to the appearance. Kelly Ripa Halloween Costumes: Miley, Kim, Lindsey and More!

Kelly Ripa may not get points for originality. But she earns a high praise for perseverance. The talk show host and co-anchor Michael Strahan dressed as a number of pop culture icons this morning on air, starting with a creation of Miley Cyrus and Robin Thicke Twerking at the VMAs and continuing with their impressions of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West: From there, it was on to the world of fictitious drug dealers (Jesse Pinkman and Walter White) and real-life athletes in love ( Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods ). And, finally, the twosome got some help from other crew members and made like the beloved members of Duck Dynasty: We hope the wardrobe and makeup department were paid hefty bonuses for this quick changes, all of which took place within 60 minutes. Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman Costumes: The Most Offensive Things Ever?

Good news, Julianne Hough: You no longer have the most offensive Halloween costume . Not by a long, long, long shot. In a photo that’s gone viral, two young men are dressed as Trayvon Martin and George Zimmerman for this year’s holiday, with one donning a “Neighborhood Watch” shirt and the other wearing a black mask and blood-stained sweatshirt. Really. We’re not making this up: According to the Smoking Gun, the costumed gentle men are residents of Florida, where the George Zimmerman murder case took place. Zimmerman admitted to shooting Martin in early 2012 after trailing the 15-year old through his community and then struggling with Martin. In a trial that captivated the nation, Zimmerman pleaded not guilty and was exonerated by a jury of his peers in July. One of the men pictured above reportedly made this image his Facebook profile photo before thinking better of it. So at least the guy isn’t a total, complete and utter moron. Julianne Hough Goes Blackface for Halloween: Funny or Foul?

For Julianne Hough, Orange is the New… Blackface. The former Dancing with the Stars pro turned some heads and stirred up some controversy last night when she attended a costume party in Beverly Hills dressed as the character Crazy Eyes from Orange is the New Black . She put her hair in the signature style as this inmate, she wore prison garb – oh, and she painted her face a darker shade than usual because the actress behind Crazy Eyes is African-American Uzo Aduba. As you might expect, the move has drawn a great deal of criticism online, with many aghast over Hough’s use of blackface. This term applied in the past to theatrical makeup painted on for minstrel shows in which performers created a stereotyped caricature of a black person. What do you think of Hough’s costume?
