Source: Tom Briglia / Getty Wendy Williams has had a tumultuous 2019 so far. One week, she showed up to film her show with an arm brace on allegedly due to a fall. Then rumors began to swirl that her husband Kevin Hunter was a cheater who often got physical with her . And after returning to her show, viewers noticed that she seemed pretty out of sorts, slurring her words and what not. Needless to say, the daytime queen is taking a much needed break from her hosting duties to focus on her health. Earlier this month, she released a statement saying: “As Wendy Williams Hunter previously shared, she fractured her shoulder and has been on the mend. Over the past few days, Wendy has experienced complications regarding her Graves’ Disease that will require treatment. Wendy will be under the strict supervision of her physicians, and as part of her care, there will be significant time spent in the hospital. Despite her strong desire to return, she is taking a necessary, extended break from her show to focus on her personal and physical well-being.” This isn’t the first time Wendy’s health has caused some concern. You may recall that last year, her show went on a three-week hiatus for her to focus on her health after she was diagnosed with Graves Disease. And last October, she fainted on stage after overheating in her Halloween costume. As of January 21, the Wendy Williams Show has aired repeat episodes and planned to produce original episodes with a variety of hosts starting the week of January 28. On January 30th, it was announced that Nick Cannon would be taking over Wendy’s hosting duties. The Wendy Williams Show Instagram page posted the exciting news, writing, “Friend to the show and host of Fox’s The Masked Singer and MTV’s Wild n’ Out, @nickcannon will be guest hosting The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, February 4th, Tuesday, February 5th & Wednesday, February 6th. The new hour long episodes will include Wendy’s staple Hot Topics segment, ‘Ask Wendy,’ celebrity interviews and more!” Nick has always had several jobs at one time, and now he’s adding more to his plate as a daytime talk show host. On Monday morning, about three months after Megyn Kelly was fired for being naive, insensitive and also pretty darn racist, NBC went ahead and seemingly named her replacement. Indeed, Megyn Kelly Today is no more. Viewers should now prepare themselves for … Dylan Dreyer, Al Roker, Sheinelle Jones And Craig Melvin Today ? Okay, the name may be a work in progress. But Dreyer wrote the following to her Twitter followers a few hours ago: Hope you don’t mind these faces! You’ll be seeing a lot of them at 9am. Aside from tagging her colleagues, Dreyer shared this photo of them along with her message: Roker, meanwhile, posted the same snapshot and simply wrote: “I love these guys.” It is worth noting, however, that NBC is yet to officially announce anything. In fact, Jenna Bush Hager served as a co-host on the day Dreyer sent this message; and she has been a rumored replacement herself for Kelly. Kelly, for her part, never found footing – or an audience – on NBC. The network tried to act as if she was never a polarizing political pundit at Fox News prior to her hiring, shaving off all rough edges and re-introducing her as their own kind of harmless and fun Kelly Ripa. The makeover never worked. It actually failed miserably. But Kelly wasn’t shown the door until she ignited a controversy during a Halloween costume discussion in which she wondered why blackface was considered taboo . “You do get in trouble if you are a white person who puts on blackface for Halloween or a black person who puts on white face for Halloween,” Kelly said during a panel discussion that got way, awy away from her, adding erroneously: “Back when I was a kid, that was OK as long as you were dressed up as like a character.” She later wondered what makes something racist . Once she learned the history of how demeaning and flat-out racist the concept of blackface actually is (something she, a seasoned journalist, didn’t know beforehand?!?), Kelly issued an apology. “I was wrong and I am sorry,” she told viewers, continuing as follows: “Sometimes I talk and sometimes I listen and yesterday, I learned. “I learned that given the history of blackface being used in awful ways by racists in this country, it is not OK for that to be part of any costume, Halloween or otherwise.” But it was too little and too late. And she had already been too unpopular at NBC for executives to fight for her job. Kelly, of course, walked away with millions and millions (and millions!) of dollars, so no one is feeling to badly for her at the moment. Elsewhere, NBC is yet to announce a replacement for Kathie Lee Gifford, who will be leaving her seat alongside Hoda Kotb in April. “I have my idea of who might be absolutely wonderful, but there’s a great pool of talent and beauty and heart around here, right within our own family,” Kathie Lee said when confirming her departure . “And if they come from outside the family they will soon become family because you all treat everybody that way…” Gifford is exiting the program in a graceful manner. 90 Day Fiance aired its season finale and viewers are already hyped for the Tell-All Special. But the finale itself had so much, including Jay Smith’s cheating scandal and a lot of family drama. Who actually made it to the altar? Take a look: Let’s start with Kalani and Asuelu, who are likeable enough even though they really should not have gotten married. These two had a lot of problems from the beginning. Their fling would never have become more than that if she hadn’t become pregnant. Kalani had baby Oliver and she and Asuelu resolved to marry … and now Kalani is pregnant again. So she spends a lot of her wedding day episode narrative hoping that her father won’t find out that she’s expecting her second child. (As you may recall, Asuelu refuses to wear condoms and says that they are for “slut people,” which is … really stupid) He doesn’t find out on screen, though he obviously knows about it now. Should these two have gotten married? No. Did they? Yes. Their wedding was as beautiful as the memes spawned from Asuelu’s crying. Next up, we have to talk about this season’s worst couple: Colt and Larissa. While most of the drama with Coltee and Larissa happened off-screen, plenty of their nonsense was caught on camera. These two did get married, despite Larissa’s (first) domestic battery arrest. Larissa got married in a wedding dress from Goodwill. There were more people from TLC, filming and producing the wedding, than there were actual guests. Considering the bride and groom themselves … that’s not really a huge surprise. Speaking of toxic relationships, let’s look at Eric and Leida. Admittedly, most of their drama was with Eric’s family, whom Leida seems to think he should foreswear. Leida’s dismissive attitude towards Eric’s children has earned her a lot of hate (deservedly) and some death threats (not cool). Despite Eric’s lack of financial resources, he and Leida did get married. His older daughters were not interested in watching this go down, but his youngest was there. For a comical twist, Eric forgot his pants just 35 minutes before the wedding. For possibly the first time, I sympathize with the guy — pants are nothing but leg-prisons. Eric immediately dashes any connection wtih viewers by toasting “everyone that showed up” to his wedding. Steven and Olga’s story really belonged on 90 Day Fiance: Before The 90 Days . Why? Because Olga gave birth in Russia, and this high-conflict couple spent their time in Russia. Steven’s open resentment of their child, Alex (that’s his name, regardless of what you heard on the show; it’s a long story), was yikes-worthy. So it was nice for viewers to see him leave Russia without Olga and without their baby. He was vowing to work on the K-1 Visa paperwork (it costs money, folks). Fans really, really hope that he gave himself a major attitude adjustment, too. Because, in real life, these two are still together. We will say that their social media posts seem extremely endearing. The secret is for Steven to not be talking while the camera is on. Jonathan and Fernanda’s wedding was almost as beautiful as the couple themselves. The one downside to their happy day was that Jonathan’s mother couldn’t attend, at the last minute. This wasn’t an issue with Fernanda or her youth. Jonathan’s grandfather was sick. Real life doesn’t pause for weddings, and Fernanda understood that. Fernanda also wished that her own mother could be in attendance. Also, Fernanda let it slip that she’s planning to have yet another wedding in Mexico, so it’s all good. Then there’s Jay and Ashley. Ashley caught Jay cheating on her, though he objects to that definition of “cheating.” The dude downloaded Tinder the instant that they got married. She caught him video chatting another girl the day ater their wedding. Ashley was understandably furious, which is probably why Jay is currently asking fans for cash . Jay is 20 and seems to have almost no impulse control. From day one, Ashley’s friends had warned her that he was going to cheat on her. We had all hoped that they were wrong. Who else is absolutely, unapologetically hyped for the Tell-All Special ? They’ll get into relationship issues, from Jay’s cheating to Steven’s absolutely repulsive attitude and the way that he speaks to Olga. But most of all, fans are looking forward to seeing how Larissa interacts with her castmates. Coltee may be good at putting on his condescending “nice voice” and at least pretending to be reasonable. In a new interview with BBC Radio 4’s Today program, the ambitious actress admitted that she’s thought about running for President someday, presumably as a Democrat. Before you laugh, it’s worth remembering that Donald Trump is currently President of the United States. It’s true! You can look it up and everything! The morally questionable real estate mogul, who highest previous position was lead star of The Apprentice (a reality show on NBC) was elected leader of the free world in November of 2016. Ever since this depressing shocker transpired, stars such as Kanye West, Dwayne Johnson and Orpah Winfrey have pondered their own run at the White House, basically figuring: Sheesh, if frickin Donald Trump can win… So, why not Jolie? She serves as a special envoy to the United Nations Refugee Agency; has traveled and lived around the world; and seemingly really has dedicated her life to helping the less fortunate. When the aforementioned program’s host, Justin Webb, said he had put her on a list of Democrats who might run in 2020, Jolie laughed and said, “Thank you.” From there, she didn’t exactly dismiss this as a possibility. The actress went on to say she would stay quiet “for now” because she feels she can “get a lot done without a title.” But then she didn’t stay quiet. She started to list her qualifications! “I’m able to work with governments, and I’m also able to work with militaries, and so I sit in a very interesting place of being able to get a lot done without a title and without it being about myself or my policies,” she explained. At one point, Jolie’s shady past may have prevented her from ever reaching the Oval Office. But Trump totally banged a porn star while married and then paid her hush money and no one seems to care. Given that context, would Jolie stealing Brad Pitt from Jennifer Aniston really be an obstacle in a Presidential run? “I don’t know if I’m fit for politics, but then I’ve also joked that I don’t know if I have a skeleton left in my closet,” Jolie told BBC here, adding: “I’m pretty open and out there, and I can take a lot on the chin. So that’s good. But I honestly will do whatever I think can really make change.” And the Winner is? Jolie ended her interview by saying it was important to her that the aforementioned project be global and “help young people in different countries to be connected to each other and to have greater awareness and understanding of the news on an international basis.” So there you have it. We all talk about current events, but Wendy Williams delights in the personal misfortunes of the rich and famous. She slammed Khloe as pathetic for staying with her cheating baby daddy, but sometimes, cheating rumors hit closer to home. Reports say that her husband has been unfaithful, but Wendy is laughing them off. HollywoodLife reports that Wendy Williams isn’t even a little concerned that Kevin Hunter is leading a double life. ” Wendy ‘s marriage with Kevin is as solid as ever,” the insider announces. “She is laughing at some of the infidelity rumors,” the source says. ” Which have popped up yet again.” ” Wendy is happily married,” the insider emphasizes. “And,” the source clarifies. “She has no plans to leave or divorce Kevin.” Meaning that she doesn’t believe that Kevin is cheating on her and isn’t interested in using even the rumors of it to end her marriage. Wendy, who beams with glee on television as famous marriages crumble apart, isn’t loving the attention. For once. ” Wendy doesn’t appreciate people taking shots at her or her marriage,” the insider says. There are any number of couples about whom she has speculated wildly for minutes at a time on her syndicated television show who know the feeling. “But,” the source notes. “She had gotten used to it.” The insider cannot resist adding: “although it is not nice, appreciated or valid.” It is very natural for people, at work or at home, to discuss the daily lives of famous people. That can even include a bit of gloating when someone gets a well-deserved dose of misfortune in their otherwise perfect lives. That’s human nature. And there’s usually nothing wrong with that. But Wendy Williams takes things to another level. She has been characterized by some as acting like some sort of demon that feeds off of human misery. The dissolution of a celebrity marriage is like catnip to Wendy. It’s interesting, to say the least, to know that she’s not enjoying her own marriage being under a microscope. Wendy has experienced a couple of health scares recently. On Halloween of 2017, Wendy Williams collapsed on live television , and ultimately blamed it on menopause … and then on Graves’ disease. Much more recently, however, she appeared to slur her words when introducing The Lox. Some worried that she had suffered a stroke, as slurred speech is a tell-tale symptom. She says that this was not the case. Wendy placed the blame on painkillers that she took for an injured shoulder. “Needless to say, whatever today’s performance was with the legendary The Lox, who said such nice things,” Wendy later wrote. She continued: “I have no regrets and I appreciate everyone’s genuine concern for my wellness and care” “I will get some much needed rest and healing over these next couple of weeks,” she promised. “(Yes I am definitely juicing over the next couple of weeks),” she revealed. “Sorry again,” Wendy concluded. “I love you all. As reported by Vibe America’s favorite gossiper will have to put things on pause until she feels well. Last week Wendy Williams announced on her show that she injured her shoulder thus staying in her seat for the majority of her show. She went on to further detail her struggles via her official Instagram account. “I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgment of the many people around me who genuinely care for my well-being. I really do ride or die for my craft and give 200%” she explained. She went on to also remind her fans about her longstanding medical condition. “Not to mention everyone is aware at this point about my thyroid condition (don’t cry for me Argentina). “For all my fellow thyroid sufferers, you know what the deal is,” she continued. “…Needless to say… I have no regrets and I appreciate everyone’s genuine concern for my wellness and care. I promise you a better Wendy in 2019.” This isn’t the first time the former radio host has experience health concerns during her tenure as a television personality. In 2017 she fainted during a Halloween themed episode. She attributed the scare due to lack of rest. Earlier this year she took a 3 week-week break per doctor’s orders. Insiders say the sisters always enjoyed a strong bond, but the joys and challenges of the past year brought them closer together than ever before. Now, it seems the sisters loved the experience of welcoming almost-twin cousins so much that they'd like to do it all over again. Yes, insiders say Kylie and Khloe will both be pregnant again soon — if they're not already. Interestingly, the sisters have very different incentives for welcoming second children so soon.
