WATCH: Spirited Parker Posey Shakes Up Eric Mabius’ Dullsville Life In Trailer To Price Check

After watching this trailer, I think Parker Posey should consider launching some sort of bad-girl management inspiration seminar. Clearly, she’s breaking a lot of corporate cardinal rules in this trailer to Michael Walker’s Price Check — you know, like the one where you’re not supposed to sleep with your employees — but just watch how Eric Mabius, the sad-sack manager  in her grocery store pricing and marketing department perks up over the course of this clip as he gets the focus of her manic attention. (The trailer plays after the jump.) The scene of Posey throwing a tantrum in front of her boss by throwing herself on to the floor is a keeper, and reminds me of a few work situations that I’ve witnessed.  (At no time did my feet leave the ground.)  I also think this trailer handles a rather complex and difficult idea with great economy:  the clip manages to show Posey waking Mabius from his financially strapped sleepwalker’s life and then propelling him into chaos, especially on the home front.  The scene of his wife smelling his dirty dress shirt says volumes about the pain to come.  Check out the rest below. James Franco Unveils Slinky Video For Daddy’s Crime

James Franco is still channeling all those Renaissance Men from – well, the Renaissance. The actor, director, artist, student, musician, model, writer (have I forgotten anything?) hit the Toronto International Film Festival last month promoting his latest in Spring Breakers by director Harmony Korine , in which he plays a low-brow thug . But now it’s late September and it’s time to roll out with something else. This time, it’s a music video with his newly launched musical project, Daddy, with artist Tim O’Keefe. Motown superstar Smokey Robinson joins in on vocals in the sultry single, Crime , which debuted today via Spin Magazine . Franco met the singer in a perfect alignment of coincidences that only a man with outsized good karma can have. He told Spin : “I had been listening to Motown everyday, talking to Tim O’Keefe about our project. He recommended a documentary about the history of Motown. So I watched the doc in the car on the way to the airport in RI one night, most of the doc was about Smokey. [Then] on the plane to L.A. I slept the whole way and when we landed I woke up with a smiling face standing over me. He said, ‘Hey, I’m a big fan.’ I just stared. ‘It’s Smokey,’ he said. If Smokey Robinson was a fan of mine I wasn’t going to let him get away. Six months later after Tim and I had written the songs I called Smokey from Detroit and asked him to sing on one of the songs and he said sure.” Franco said that his experience in Spring Breakers , which also stars Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine, influenced his Daddy project. His co-stars are featured on the cover art of the Daddy EP. And in one scene in the feature, his character, Dangeruss, sings to hundreds of people on the beach.”That showed me how different singing to an audience is than acting in a scene before an audience,” he said. “When you sing you are connecting directly to the audience; when you act in a scene you are engulfed in the imaginary world and you are connected to the other performers.” [ Source: Spin ]

Toronto Film Festival Reports: Vanessa Hudgens and Rachel Korine Nude in Spring Breakers

When we first heard that former Disney Channel celebs Vanessa Hudgens and Selena Gomez were cast as girls gone wild for Spring Breakers , we knew better than to get our hopes up. But Mr. Skin’s Skin Skout caught a screening of the hard-partying drama at the Toronto Film Festival, and we’re slappy to say the prognosis is pink. The early report confirms that baby-faced babe Vanessa Hudgens flashes her co-ed cans and caboose in a skinny-dipping pool scene. Plus indie nudity auteur Harmony Korine directs his own 26-year old wife, Rachel Korine, to bare her boobs twice and her buns once. Sadly nothing but bikini on Selena Gomez , who is only in the first half of the movie. It’s all a little hard to believe, but after all Harmony Korine is the guy who brought you Chloe Sevigny ripping tape off her nipples in Gummo (1998). Spring Breakers doesn’t have a theatrical release date scheduled yet, but you can see Vanessa Hudgens slipping lower lippage playing a stripper in The Frozen Ground (2012), right here at MrSkin.com!

WATCH: Liam Neeson Says Check Out These Taken 2 Trailers − Or He’s Comin’ To Get You, Sucka

Looks like Taken 2 could be subtitled All in the Family , or maybe Bad-Ass & Daughter . Liam Neeson is back as retired CIA operative Bryan Mills, and based on the plot points covered by the two new trailers posted below, he enlists daughter Kim ( Maggie Grace ), who he gallantly rescued in the first Taken , to assist him in saving her Mom (Famke Janssen) from the bad guys. Turns out the motive for moms kidnapping is familial in nature, too:  She’s been taken by the father of the kidnapper Mills killed back in the first flick. And if Neeson didn’t suck you in the first time around with his unflappable, I-will-make-you-regret-ever-messing-with-me charisma, he opens the first trailer by having some fun with his character’s certitude.  Taken 2 is directed by the memorably named Olivier Megaton, whose credits include Colombiana and Transporter 3 , and we’re happy to see that the script was written by the same team that made the first Taken such a taut experience:  Luc Besson ( The Professional and La Femme Nikita ) and Robert Mark Kamen ( Karate Kid , the Transporter movies), whose Kamen Estate vineyards makes some delicious vino, by the way. Spring Breakers Smacks The Disney (Mostly) Out Of Selena Gomez In Venice

Harmony Korine ‘s Spring Breakers premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival is still days away, but festival-goers in Venice will catch the world debut Wednesday and already the film is making some initial waves with “raunchy” and “raucous” being just two operative words to describe the feature about a quartet of sexy college girls whose plan to rob a fast food joint to fund their spring break getaway goes awry. And that is just the beginning. The film stars Selena Gomez , James Franco , Vanessa Hudgens and Heather Morris. Franco plays their unexpected savior – so-to-speak. A local thug, he unexpectedly bails them out of jail and takes them under his wing and even manages to win them over, leading them into the wildest spring break ever and into a bit more crime. In Venice, Selena Gomez who once starred in the Emmy-winning Wizards of Waverly Place acknowledged that some of her fans may find her role a bit of a surprise. “Obviously I know that coming from Disney Channel gives you kind of a brand in a way,” the 20-year-old told reporters in Venice, according to Reuters . “People do put a label on you. I know that I have younger fans, and this is an opportunity for myself to kind of grow. It is a little shocking, I think, for the younger audiences … but I think it was right for me. I did things I didn’t even know I could do on the movie and I do think it was because I trusted Harmony.” Gomez had apparently been asked to play an even racier character in the film, but opted for the comparatively more staid Faith. The 20 year-old actress said that her character in the film was her speed at least for now. “I just didn’t think I was ready for it, and I do think that Faith is right for me at this time in my career and in my life,” she said in Venice. “Of course eventually I’m going to kind of work my way up to that I think.” Fluorescent bikinis, robberies and hard beach partying aside, The Telegraph said that Spring Breakers actually does not go “far enough,” saying it is just another “mainstream Hollywood teen comedy.” That is a surprise coming from the writer of 1995’s seminal Kids and his last Toronto offering Trash Humpers . Others will undoubtedly have their say. [ Sources: Reuters , The Telegraph ]

Spring Breakers Breaks the Mold for Selena Gomez, Vanessa Hudgens [PICS]

Spring Breakers doesn’t have a release date scheduled yet, but that just makes the SKINticipation all the more intense as we await the transformation of Disney princesses Selena Gomez and Vanessa Hudgens and former child star Ashley Benson into cigarette-smoking, bikini-clad, foul-mouthed college girls who turn to robbery to fund their Spring Break antics. Rounding out the crew is director Harmony Korine ‘s 26-year-old wife Rachel Korine and James Franco , decked out in cornrows and wifebeater as the drug dealer who bails the girls out of jail. Director Korine said in an interview with Interview magazine back in June that when he was in college, ” Everyone I knew would go to Daytona Beach and the Redneck Riviera and just fuck and get drunk—you know, as a rite of passage. I never went. I guess this is my way of going. ” This month’s issue of Premiere Magazine France features exclusive images from the film and confirms what paparazzi pics from the set seemed to indicate- that Selena, Vanessa, and Ashley are going way, way out of their comfort zones. We’re still in the dog days of summer, but spring break can’t come fast enough. See more from Spring Breakers Selena Gomez , Vanessa Hudgens , Ashley Benson , and Rachel Korine after the jump!

Harvey Weinstein, Interviewer, Asks: What’s Bill Clinton’s Favorite Movie?

Movies are by no means the most relevant topic discussed last night on Piers Morgan when Harvey Weinstein filled in as guest host and interviewed former President Bill Clinton about politics, kids drinking soda, and how much ass Hillary is kicking these days, but the parts in which the Hollywood powerhouse and the ex-Prez talked movies were some sort of bizarrely fascinating colliding of worlds. So what is Clinton’s favorite movie? Clinton shared his childhood memories of moviegoing between discussions of more compelling (okay, real) issues. His trip down memory lane included vivid recollections of the good old days. “You could go to the movies for a dime, and I’d get 20 cents — I think you could get a Coke and a candy bar for a nickel.” (Well, he is over a dozen years older than Wilford Brimley was when he was the same age as Tom Cruise shooting Cocoon , or whatever.) Now, the hypothetical Weinstein-produced Clinton biopic — there’s an idea. Meryl Streep as Hillz? If anyone could make that happen, it’d be Weinstein. Better question: Who’d play Ryan Gosling ? What to Make of The Black Keys’ Harmony Korine-Directed ‘Gold on the Ceiling’…

I’d be lying if I said I truly understood the music video for The Black Keys’ “Gold on the Ceiling,” or that it didn’t just give me shades of the stomach-turning willies I’ve been getting from the words “face” and “eating” all week. So please, someone, watch the bizarre VHS-stylings of the latest Harmony Korine joint — an aesthetic cousin to his recent Trash Humpers , with a visual nod to the wheelchair banditry of Umshini Wam — and share in my amused discomfort. Because, yeah. Baby Twinz are my new nightmare. If I see anyone dressed like this on Halloween, I might instinctively punch them in the throat before fleeing in the other direction. You’ve been warned. [via The Playlist ]
