Harrison Ford may look grumpy as hell, but the man has a fine-tuned sense of humor. Once again, the 42 actor has some fun with his Star Wars wingWookiee Chewbacca on Jimmy Kimmel Live . I was hoping that this time Ford would be furious at Chewy for roping him into celebrating Life Day on the much-maligned Star Wars Holiday Special , but Kimmel’s writers stuck to the running joke that the Wookiee had an affair with Ford’s wife. The costumed geeks having to ask non-Star Wars questions is a lovely touch, too. Here’s the clip: Chewing Up Chewy And this is what happened the last time Ford appeared on the show. The Cowboys & Aliens lines are particularly funny in retrospect given the movie’s dismal box-office performance. Daniel Craig Is My Wookiee Bitch Now! Who isn’t super excited for Anchorman 2 ? The follow-up to the cult classic that helped solidify the movie careers of Will Ferrell, Steve Carell, and Judd Apatow is filming as we speak. A new Anchorman 2 set photo has emerged, via our friends at Movie Fanatic, showing Will Ferrell as Ron Burgundy, sitting next to a kid. Could it be his son? While we don’t know a whole lot about the plot of the sequel, we do know that Burgundy is dealing with the rise of cable news, and that director Adam McKay has dropped hints about a “custody battle.” It makes sense, then, that the boy pictured above is his son, and it likely means that Ron and Veronica are no longer together. Sad. Joining returning stars Ferrell, Carell, David Koechner, Paul Rudd, and Christina Applegate are newcomers Harrison Ford, Kristen Wiig, Greg Kinnear, and James Marsden. Anchorman: The Legend Continues is slated for a December 20 release date.

We can’t wait to see this film! For the folks who have been waiting for a theatrical film about Jackie Robinson’s historical move into Major League Baseball, ’42′ hits theaters on April 12 via Warner Bros. Pictures/Legendary Pictures. The film was directed by Brian Helgeland and stars Chadwick Boseman, Harrison Ford, Nicole Beharie, Christopher Meloni, Andre Holland, Lucas Black, Hamish Linklater, Ryan Merriman and T.R. Knight. Here’s more info: Drama. Hero is a word we hear often in sports, but heroism is not always about achievements on the field of play. “42” tells the story of two men—the great Jackie Robinson and legendary Brooklyn Dodgers GM Branch Rickey—whose brave stand against prejudice forever changed the world by changing the game of baseball. In 1946, Branch Rickey (Harrison Ford) put himself at the forefront of history when he signed Jackie Robinson (Chadwick Boseman) to the team, breaking Major League Baseball’s infamous color line. But the deal also put both Robinson and Rickey in the firing line of the public, the press and even other players. Facing unabashed racism from every side, Robinson was forced to demonstrate tremendous courage and restraint by not reacting in kind, knowing that any incident could destroy his and Rickey’s hopes. Instead, Number 42 let his talent on the field do the talking—ultimately winning over fans and his teammates, silencing his critics, and paving the way for others to follow. This film has been rated PG-13 for thematic elements including language. BOSSIP is also doing a ’42′ giveaway. Stay tuned for details on how to enter.

Star Wars , Indiana Jones , Blade Runner … Anchorman? Yes, aging action star Harrison Ford has joined the cast of Anchorman 2 ! Production on the much-anticipated comedy sequel is already underway, but since filming began last week, four new names have been added to the cast, including John C. Reilly and Meagan Good . For will play a legendary newscaster, a la Tom Brokaw (who Ford could easily play in a biopic), though plot details are scarce at the moment. What we do know is that the main arc of the film is that Ron Burgundy will be vying for a job in New York City on a 24-hour cable news network. All your favorites from the first film are returning, including Will Ferrell, Paul Rudd, Steve Carell, Christina Applegate, and David Koechner. Also joining on is comedic juggernaut Kristen Wiig, playing a love interest to Carell’s Brick Tamland. Anchorman 2 is set to hit theaters December 20. While you wait, just relax with a nice cool beverage. But not milk. Milk would be a bad choice .

Now that Ewan McGregor has voiced his enthusiasm for playing Obi-Wan Kenobi again, Disney should make it so. The actor, who’s out promoting Jack The Giant Slayer told MTV News that he thought reprising his role as the Jedi Master was “a good idea” and had clearly done some thinking about where an Obi-Wan standalone movie could fit into the about-to-be-rebooted Star Wars franchise — the gap between Episode III and IV “before Alec Guinness, there’s that period where he’s in the desert….That might be my window there, to tell that story.” McGregor said that he didn’t know what Obi-Wan actually did in the desert, but added: “We could make up some stuff.” Actually, there are plenty of sanctioned Star Wars stories that cover Kenobi’s time in exile in the Tatooine desert — some of which have him communing with the spirit of his mentor, Qui-Gonn Jinn (who was played by Liam Neeson in Episode I ) — so the writers wouldn’t have to star from scratch. But even if there wasn’t all that material out there, bringing McGregor back is an excellent idea. Although I’d love to see Harrison Ford finally get his Han Solo death scene, Disney clearly wants these new Star Wars movies to appeal to young demographics, and there’s nothing musty or dusty about McGregor. He’s one of the finest actors of his generation, and, with the exception of the emotional climactic scenes of Episode III , his talents were largely wasted in the Star Wars prequel trilogy. An Obi-Wan standalone movie could not only right that wrong but add a cinematic backstory to the character that would give Guinness’ performance in Episode IV even more dramatic heft. What do you think, Star Wars fans? Let me know in the comments, and while you’re mulling it over, here’s the clip of McGregor voicing his enthusiasm for picking up the lightsaber again.
