Don’t shoot the messenger; this is what qualifies as news in the lazy hours before New Year’s Eve. In an interview with Angeleno magazine, Blue Valentine star Michelle Williams says she plans on one day watching Brokeback Mountain with daughter Matilda. “I was just an actor who happened to be lucky enough to be in the right place, and it was the place where I met Matilda’s father, and that is a lot,” she said, referring to the late Heath Ledger. “It was a lot. And it will be a lot for Matilda too, when she gets around to watching it. I will watch it with her, when she’s ready. It is hard to imagine what that would feel like, but one day, yes, we will watch it together.” Wonder what the Steak Eaters will think of that one. [ PopSugar ]

Michelle Williams Speaks on Heath Ledger, Can’t Find Meaning in Actor’s Death

Michelle Williams is still struggling to find meaning in the passing of ex-husband Heath Ledger. In an interview with Nightline that aired last night, the Blue Valentine star said: “I can find meanings in things and people and relationships that have sprung up and friendships that have strengthened. I found a lot of meaning in that… but not in ‘why.’” Michelle Williams – Nightline Interview Williams battled back tears at many points in the discussion, touching on a range of subjects that included the months that followed Ledger’s death, as well as the state of the couple’s child, Matilda. Excerpts are below. On the years after his death : “In a strange way, I miss that year, because all those possibilities that existed then are gone. It didn’t seem unlikely to me that he could walk through a door or could appear behind a bush. It was a year of very magical thinking, and in some ways I’m sad to be moving further and further away from it.” On providing Matilda with a normal childhood : “It’s going well. We’re doing a good job of it. It is of more importance to me than anything in my life. I would rearrange anything to make that possible. If something starts to encroach on that it’s going to be removed from the equation.”

By Eric Ditzian Aaron Eckhart Photo: MTV News Back in July at San Diego Comic-Con, , asking the director whether he’d be cast in the next installment of the franchise. “You know, I’m available,” Eckhart laughed. Nolan, it seems, heard that call, because he ended up chatting with Eckhart about “The Dark Knight Rises” and finally telling the actor, who played crusader-turned-bad-guy Harvey Dent, whether or not his services would be needed. “Chris and I had a meeting, on the beach, just the two of us,” Eckhart told MTV News on the red carpet for “Rabbit Hole” on Thursday. “I said, ‘Chris, a lot of people are asking me if I’m in the next ‘Batman.’ And Chris said, ‘Yes?’ I said, ‘Am I?’ He looked at me and he said, ‘No.’ ” Wait, a meeting on the beach? Is this a true story? “It actually is,” Eckhart replied. “It’s even weirder than I’m explaining it.” So there you have it: official confirmation that Dent won’t show his two faces on the big screen come the film’s July 2012 release. But, um, what of this strange beachside meeting? “We found ourselves alone on the beach together on a stormy day and he delivered the news to me,” Eckhart explained. “And I was heartbroken. I was heartbroken. But Chris has his reasons and my life must go on.” As Eckhart explained this summer, Nolan’s original plan was to bring back Heath Ledger’s Joker for the new film. But Ledger’s death in 2008 of course changed that plan. Nolan will be starting over, with a new villain or possibly more than one. And that’s fine with Eckhart. “Honestly, it was Heath’s movie to go on,” he told us Thursday. “We had a great movie. I’m so honored to be a part of that movie. Everything is a conspiracy if you’re Randy and Evi Quaid. The insane pair, having already alleged that the Star Whackers are coming to do them in (just as they have Heath Ledger, David Carradine and others), now say that gossip website Radar Online is a front owned and operated by the police. BRINGING THE CRAZY : No one does it like the Quaids . “Radar Online is owned by the police,” she told Esquire . “They called the Dairy Queen in Marfa, Texas, to spread rumors about us when we lived there.” The celebrity gossip site denies it is owned by the police. In an length interview, the Quaids talk about why they are seeking asylum in Canada from charges in California and about the roving gang of hooligans who, they say, are killing and/or trying to ruin the lives of their celebrity friends. In addition to the deaths of Carradine and Ledger, the couple has mentioned Mel Gibson and Charlie Sheen as other “targets” of the Star Whackers. Lindsay Lohan and Britney Spears better watch out, too. It stops being as funny when Randy and Evi Quaid actually predict their own death – by stabbing, by double-hanging, or by lethal doses of Demerol. “We’re this close to solving our own murder,” Evi Quaid said, without a hint of irony or humor. “It’s the only way I’ll be able to keep Randy alive.” All we have to say is that hopefully a whole team of top-notch psychiatrists and therapists will be covered under the Canadian health care system.

Busy Phillips is the Godmother of Heath Ledger’s baby and my new best friend Jake Gyllenhaal is the Godfather, so I feel like I know this bitch, but really I’ve never heard of her, because she’s ugly and I tend to ignore ugly chicks, unless they are on the beach, flashing their asses…. This is one of those “Thank God for Nature” moments, because the wind is doing is part to help my pervert ass out. Girl Jake Gyllenhaal Pushed Interview of the Day

If you’ve been reading this site the last few days, you will know I had a little altercation with Jake Gyllenhaal that his people and the restaurant he was in are trying to make disappear. They’ve even sent the Jake Gyllenhaal fan club into my comments to defend his honor and take away my credibility…. They are trying to make me look out like a liar. They are threatening me saying the incident didn’t happen. They are saying I am trying to get publicity, but I didn’t have a fucking camera…my website traffic hasn’t gone up. I haven’t made money. The girl involved doesn’t want her name attached to something so stupid and my name is left out of 95% of reports and prior to this event I didn’t even really know who Gyllenhaal was or how to spell his stupid name…I didn’t even recognize him when he was in the bar until people told me who he was…I write about celebrity pussy not celebrity pussies…. I just went to a bar, made a comment and insanity ensued and wrote what I saw on my personal blog. I am allowed to write what I saw on my blog. There was also no crime in what he did…people shove people in bars…that’s why there is no police report…we aren’t babies who really care that much about this and it’s not like he beat the fuck out of the girl or something we are trying to make into a bigger deal than it is, he just shoved her in his fit and I was mad that he made her cry so I hit my site. Everyone loves him so much thanks to marketing but he throws down temper tantrums better than a 5 year old rich kid…believe it or not, what you see isn’t what he actually is… I love that the mainstream media is saying “We have the real story” when not one person has asked me or the girl I was with what happened-they’ve just decided that it didn’t happen on their own…Maybe they’ve asked Jake’s People…or the Bar trying to protect it’s reputation….Bullshit…. That was until today….when a local blog interviewed the girl who got shoved by him…. Now, I am officially ready for this to die like it was Heath Ledger…It’s as boring as Gyllenhaal’s IMDB page.
