By Amy Wilkinson Kristin Cavallari and Brody Jenner on “The Hills” Photo: MTV After weeks of dealing with Spencer Pratt’s erratic behavior and uncontrollable temper, sister Stephanie Pratt made a tearful pledge to cut him out of her life on Tuesday’s (May 18) episode of “The Hills.” The episode opened on Stephanie lunching with sister-in-law Holly Montag — a meeting of the minds of sorts to discuss their troubled siblings. “You have no idea what he’s said to me in a threatening nature,” Holly said, recalling her altercation with Spencer during last week’s episode. “It’s so frustrating because I just miss my sister.” In another L.A. restaurant, Heidi Montag and Kristin Cavallari were dishing about Kristin’s flirtation with Brody. “I’ve been hanging out with Brody a bit. I don’t know what’s going on,” Kristin said. Talk then turned to Spencer, with Kristin voicing her concern over his unexplained behavior. “You know Spencer, he’s always been crazy,” Heidi said. “I can’t tell you what to do, but if he’s losing his mind, you can’t stick around,” Kristin advised. “I want to focus on love. It’s like, who am I without Spencer?” Heidi replied. Brody was also ready to focus on love — well, let’s be honest, most likely lust — when the group met later at the club Wonderland. With his hand on the small of Audrina’s (whom you’ll recall is dating Ryan Cabrera) back, Brody told her he had some things he wanted to tell her that he couldn’t when he was dating girlfriend Jade. “I feel like you want what you can’t have,” Audrina responded. Before Brody could argue much, Spencer entered the club, making a beeline for Brody and ignoring all of the girls, including Kristin, who was yelling his name. “Right now, you are so stuck in your marriage, and I can tell you’re not happy,” Brody said, which nearly brought Spencer to tears. That is, before he lashed out at Audrina for asking where Heidi was. “People don’t know how dangerous I am,” Spencer declared, freakishly agitated. Heidi later met up with Audrina and Kristin to once again defend Spencer’s behavior. “All guys are a little controlling,” she informed them. Having been rebuffed by Audrina, Brody turned his sights on ex Kristin during an outing to club Voyeur. At the insistence of friends, Brody kissed Kristin. But there were even more crazy shenanigans going on in the club. Spencer and Heidi showed up with crystals in hand, proselytizing to their fellow patrons. “This one is for geniuses,” Heidi explained, showing one of her rocks to Kristin. “I don’t let her go on TV or computers,” Spencer told Kristin proudly. “She is logged out of the Matrix.” The next morning we caught up with Kristin in her kitchen when — surprise! — Brody emerged from a back room clad in a crop-top worthy of a house boy from “The Birdcage.” Though it was clear they had hooked up the night before, Brody told Kristin he wasn’t interested in anything serious. “I’m really enjoying being single,” he admitted to Kristin, who agreed. Later that day, Audrina, Lo, Stephanie and Holly convened at Kristin’s house to discuss the Spencer/Heidi situation. “I think she’s brainwashed,” Holly said. “I think I want to cut them out of my life,” Stephanie concluded, sobbing. On The Hills Tuesday night, Spencer Pratt threatened to call the cops on Holly Montag if his wife’s sister didn’t leave his property. Idle threat? Apparently not! Police were dispatched to Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag’s home just hours ago after the couple called for help, saying Heidi’s mother was refusing to leave. Heidi confirmed this to TMZ: “My mom just showed up to the house unannounced … after what she did to me on national TV, I have no desire to see her.” Montag is referring to a recent episode of The Hills in which Darlene Egelhoff said point blank that she did not approve of her daughter’s plastic surgeries. This week, Spencer claimed Darlene “tried to rape Heidi emotionally” and called her “just a vagina” who brought Heidi into the world, but is not special . Heidi Montag is done with her mom’s emotional abuse! Heidi notified her personal security team when her mom showed up “pounding on the door.” Darlene spoke with the police but has now left the premises. She continues, “Her showing up is completely out of line and psychotic. I’m getting a restraining order against her.” No arrests were made in the incident. Los Angeles Police Department Sgt. Leffew said: “Officers arrived on the scene and advised the mother that since her daughter is an adult, she doesn’t have to speak to [the mom] if she doesn’t want to. The mother said ‘fine, no problem’ and left. There were no citations or arrests.” Heidi Montag promises this isn’t the end of all the drama: “I made it very clear that I want nothing to do with her in my life right now,” she tells People . “I’m sick to my stomach she would even do something like this. She needs to stay away from me. I’m planning on getting a restraining order against her.” Heidi Montag’s mom, Darlene Egelhoff, isn’t smiling right now .

Last night on The Hills , it became clear that Spencer Pratt is losing it. Sad about the show ending? Getting increasingly desperate for anything that makes news? Either/or. In any case, they are supposedly hoarders now. For the very first time (not that anyone wondered), Heidi and Spencer are letting us into their “unkempt and unsafe home” in Pacific Palisades via Life & Style . According to sources, Speidi has been residing in this place, not their luxurious Hollywood home as seen on The Hills, for the last few months. And it’s gross. A source supposedly close to the couple claims: “The living room is filled with Spencer’s mess, which Heidi often has to clean up. Spencer lines the window with crystals, which he believes will keep bad spirits out but keep Heidi locked in.” LOL. Spencer and his crystals . Soon it’ll be crystal meth. CELEBRITY HOARDERS : Whether that’s true or not, Spencer and Heidi Pratt are growing increasingly ridiculous, even by their standards. Pratt explains: “It’s true, I have a Marine in the house. He’s helping me write a script.” Mmmkay . He adds: “And yes, we’ve been out of the house only three times this month, but that’s because I’m busy working on several business ventures.” No word on what those are. But clearly, one of his tried-and-true ventures – making up ridiculous stories to feed to Life & Style for free PR – is still effective. It’s certainly a lot cheaper than paying to have the face/body of Heidi Montag consistently altered, too. Gossip is harmless. Keep up the good work, man.

The third episode of The Hills’ final season reintroduced Brody Jenner and Kristin Cavallari as lovebirds. Because … they used to date and we’re out of other options? Last night’s episode, “Elephant in the Room,” found these two pondering a staged reconnection, while he also pondered his supposed “crush” on Audrina Patridge. Meanwhile, Spencer Pratt absolutely went off the rails at Holly Montag. Below, The Hollywood Gossip breaks down all the Hills action with its trademark +/- scale: Kristin doesn’t know if she likes being around Spencer. Does anyone? Plus 3 . The Hills returns tonight for its final season … most likely. It could be extended a bit . Regardless, here’s a look back at some moments that defined its first five: FORGET PARIS : In the first season finale, Lauren Conrad made a brutal mistake that would haunt her for two more years, choosing to spend the summer with tool Jason Wahler over accompanying Teen Vogue editor Lisa Love to Paris. Fortunately, Whitney Port stepped in and fast-tracked her fashion career. Not that LC is hurting for cash, or boyfriends. Kyle Howard’s a big upgrade over J-Wahl. FALLING DOWN : As a Teen Vogue intern, Whitney endeared herself to millions after what could have been her worst moment, falling on stage after Vogue tapped her to model Hilary Swank’s Oscar gown on Good Morning America . The way she composed herself and handled the embarrassment with grace and dignity only impressed the higher-ups more, though (sorry to rehash this, Whit). Two prominent former loves of Lauren Conrad . THE LC SEX TAPE : It did not exist, but boy, did it spark a lot of celebrity gossip. Spencer Pratt (and in turn, THG) got so much mileage out of this twisted rumor. BABY MAMA DRAMA : More than once, Heidi Montag has effed with Spencer regarding pregnancy. All a big hoax to watch him squirm? We’re all for it even if so. KISSING BRODY J : Everybody does it at some point, but Lauren and he had such chemistry. Still, despite the Las Vegas birthday hookup, Brody Jenner and Conrad determined they work better as friends, which they’ve remained since. THE TRANSFORMATION OF HEIDI MONTAG’S FACE : Enough said, and ongoing. WORSE THAN HEIDI : LC accused Audrina Patridge of insinuating she hooked up with Justin-Bobby – and that Audzo is worse than Heidi Montag as a result. CAREER EVOLUTION : The show began with a focus on young women and careers in L.A., then became about quasi-celebs whose careers were being on The Hills . THE WEDDING : Heidi and Spencer’s wedding had something old, new, borrowed and even blue … the dresses worn by both Lauren Conrad and her old nemesis, Kristin Cavallari , who replaced her as the star of the show. Cold, MTV. Cold . F*%KING PIRANHAS : Kristin didn’t wait long to stir up trouble, calling out Audrina and Stephanie Pratt and declaring “you f*%ked with the WRONG girl.” GROSS LOVE TRIANGLE : On a list of things we didn’t need to spend a full season watching, Kristin and Audrina fighting over Justin-Bobby would be tops.

Kate Hudson, Heidi Montag and even Madonna have drawn criticism from Porizkova, who says she was “heartbroken” by before-and-after images of them. Most recently, it was the controversial Kate Hudson breast implants that sparked Paulina’s pointed critique, even if it’s unclear whether she even got any. “The before: an amazingly fit, gorgeous, small-breasted young woman in a to-die-for red bikini; in the other, a blond starlet sipping a latte,” she writes. “The cup size was undeniably different.” “If big boobs make her happier, then more power to her,” she continues . Someone can expect to be summarily bashed by Spencer Pratt on Twitter today. By Jocelyn Vena Heidi Montag Photo: MTV MTV News is counting down the most buzzed-about “Hills” moments before the premiere of the show’s final season airs on Tuesday, and our #8 moment comes courtesy of the show’s very first episode. When Lauren Conrad began on the show, she was an intern at Teen Vogue just hoping to make a good first impression on her then-boss, Lisa Love. However, her party-girl roommate Heidi Montag just wanted to have a good time and nearly ruined Conrad’s first major assignment at the magazine. During LC’s big task — helping out at the Young Hollywood Party being thrown by Teen Vogue — Heidi showed up looking for a good time, unfortunately at her pal’s expense. Montag showed the world early on that she had a taste for causing trouble. When Heidi showed up unannounced at the event, she caused a scene and almost cost Lauren her internship. Without asking and without approval, she made her way to a section of the party intended only for VIP guests (which the unknown Heidi definitely wasn’t at the time) and even got into a heated argument with her then-boyfriend in front of everyone in attendance at the event. Heidi ended up reconciling with the guy and things went well with Lauren and Teen Vogue, but we can’t say the same for the pair’s friendship — the two famously parted ways, although it would be over Heidi’s future husband Spencer Pratt and not over a party mishap.
