Australian actor Chris Hemsworth and his longtime girlfriend, Spanish actress Elsa Pataky, were recently married. According to People magazine, Hemsworth, 27, and Pataky, 34, tied the knot over the holiday. Hemsworth, for those not yet familiar with his name, will star in two of Hollywood’s most anticipated films: “Thor” and “The Avengers.” Meanwhile, Meanwhile, Pataky, who moviegoers might recognize from 2006’s “Snakes on a Plane,” has a role in next summer’s “Fast Five” opposite Vin Diesel and Paul Walker in the fifth installment of “The Fast and the Furious” franchise. Hemsworth and Pataky join an ever-growing list of celebrities headed down the aisle. Natalie Portman, Hemsworth’s “Thor” co-star, announced her engagement to “Black Swan” co-star Benjamin Millepied , with whom she is also expecting her first child, on Monday. Portman’s announcement coincided with engagement news from LeAnn Rimes and Eddie Cibrian and Ginnifer Goodwin and Joey Kern . For those who are counting, this puts the recent celeb engagement/marriage count (within the past two months) at eight! By Kara Warner Chris Hemsworth Photo: Entertainment Tonight Hot on the heels of the release of the first official photo (and alleged concept art) from “Thor” comes a video report straight from the Santa Fe, New Mexico, set, courtesy of “Entertainment Tonight.” The clip features a charming exchange between two of the film’s stars, Chris Hemsworth (Thor) and Natalie Portman (Jane Foster) : The duo discuss their chemistry and Hemsworth’s impressive build. Portman also expresses delight upon discovering that Hemsworth was on Australia’s version of “Dancing with the Stars.” The topic of Hemsworth’s toughness and physique are played up the video, along with a few brief action scenes. “He’s a god,” Portman says of her co-star, even alluding to his healthy, “big appetite.” Later, Portman pokes fun at herself with a fake teaser: “Chris and that little midget girl, starring in Thor!” Director Kenneth Branagh praised Hemsworth’s dedication to the role, saying the actor worked himself into peak condition. “He took seriously the challenge that had to be taken on by whoever was going to play Thor, to find this combination we wanted of a sort of Herculean strength, and gosh, he’s strong,” Branagh said. “We’ve had him doing all sorts of physical feats on it. Some of it’s practical — lifting people up, lifting two people up, and doing it for a long time over the course of a day. I sort of said, ‘Oh, you’ve got to get your shirt off. Do you mind?’ And he said, ‘Do I mind? I spent six months getting into shape for this! Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in the Natalee Holloway disappearance in Aruba, is now wanted for the murder of 21-year-old Stephany Flores Ramirez. Stephany is believed to have been brutally stabbed and wrapped in a blanket by van der Sloot before he checked out on Sunday. Her body was discovered in the hotel room today. He may have gotten away with murder once, but it doesn’t look like he’s getting away with it this time. First, they have to find the little f*cker! Joran flew to Peru from Colombia to play in a poker tournament at the Atlantic City Casino in Lima and checked into the Milaflores Hotel on May 14. Cesar Guardia, the head of the criminal investigation unit of the Lima police, said there is ‘incriminating evidence’ that links van der Sloot to Stephany’s murder. Guaria says they also have surveillance video that shows Joran and Stephany together in the casino Saturday night. The couple was last seen entering Joran’s hotel room around 5 a.m. and he checked out of the hotel alone around 9 a.m.. Joran was last seen catching a bus to Chile on Monday. Stephany’s murder comes exactly five years after Natalee Holloway disappeared on May 30, 2005.
