When POTUS attacks… President Obama Goes After Mitt Romney, Calls Tax Policy “Romney Hood” President Obama, fresh off another monthly walloping in the fund-raising race, attacked his Republican adversary by giving him an unflattering nickname: “Romney Hood.” Obama, outraised in July by Mitt Romney and the Republicans for the third month in a row, blasted the GOP challenger’s tax policy, which the President said translated into taking resources from the poor to benefit the rich. “It’s like Robin Hood in reverse,” Obama told a crowd of about 500 supporters at a fund-raiser in Connecticut Monday night. “It’s Romney Hood!” A pool reporter covering the cash grab at the Stamford Marriott, where 500 “guests” paid $500 each, noted that the colorful description of Romney generated the largest applause of the evening. “The crowd laughed and roared and whistled its approval,” the reporter wrote. Obama’s economic broadside was drawn from a review of Romney’s tax plan performed by the Tax Policy Institute, a non-partisan operation. They found that Romney’s blueprint would most likely add $2,000 to the tax bill for middle-class earners, but spare six-figure sums from being included in those for the country’s most privileged. There’s a new superPac commercial accusing Obama of being racist but they definitely are stretching with their claims. Watch it below: Some folks would call this creative editing, but we think it’s outright misleading. Here’s a break down most of the discrepancies between the commercial and the actual TRUTH: A web ad released by a new superPAC suggests that President Obama’s administration has quietly accepted and even promoted racism against white people. The ad, by a superPAC called FightBigotry, said that the president has gotten a free pass for “his disturbing, yet crystal-clear pattern of tacitly defending black racism against white folks before and since being elected president.” According to ThinkProgress, the group was founded by Stephen Marks, a Republican media consultant and opposition researcher, who penned a 2008 book called “Confessions of a Political Hitman.” The ad goes on to assert that Attorney General Eric Holder said that the administration’s critics are motivated by race. “Implying that whites are too stupid to have honest disagreements with the president without being racist is, in and of itself, racist against whites,” the narrator says. SuperPACs are not affiliated with campaigns and are forbidden by law from coordinating with them, although they may support a particular candidate. Since a candidate does not have to say that he or she approves a given message from a superPAC, it allows superPACs to be more aggressive while not sullying the reputation of the candidate who might benefit from the negative ad. FightBigotry edits the famous speech on race that the then-Senator Obama gave at the height of the controversy surrounding his former pastor, Jeremiah Wright. In it, Obama discussed how race had shaped him and the role it continued to play in American life. Obama said that his maternal grandmother, who is white, harbored casually racist views even though she loved him. However, the ad is edited so that it appears that President Obama is dismissing his grandmother as “a typical white person,” and that he was unbothered by Wright’s statements, although Obama explicitly condemned the comments in the speech. “Mr. President, you ran as the candidate of change,” the ad’s narrator says in conclusion. “But one thing has not changed—your tacit defense of racism against white folks, despite receiving nearly half the white vote to win the presidency.” Obama won the White House in 2008 with just 43 percent of the white vote, the smallest share ever garnered by a winning presidential candidate in U.S. history. So like 99 percent of the hip-hop that I hear these days is just the same.” “And it just kind of gets like, ‘What am I listening to it for?’ And for me, that’s just keeping it 100. SMH!!! Rep. Michelle Bachmann is once again making headlines for her claims that prominent Democrats are affiliated with the Muslim Brotherhood. Rep. Keith Ellison (D-Minn.) laughed off claims by Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) that he has ties to the Muslim Brotherhood and said she makes such baseless accusations because, deep down, she thinks Muslims are “evil.” Bachmann was already in hot water this week for saying Huma Abedin, a top aide to Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, may be part of a Muslim Brotherhood conspiracy to infiltrate the U.S. government. Despite being criticized by leaders of her own party, Bachmann on Thursday said Ellison, one of two Muslims in Congress, also has connections to the hard-line Islamic group. “He has a long record of being associated with [the Council on American–Islamic Relations] and with the Muslim Brotherhood,” Bachmann said during an interview on Glenn Beck’s radio show. If she accused a fellow congressman of being associated with a terrorist organization and can offer no proof, censure isn’t enough. She should be removed from the House. It is very important the we the voters stop these “Joe McCarthy” types from exerting their power in Congress. The TV personality made headlines months ago when he claimed Trayvon Martin was killed because of his hoodie not because of his race. Now, Rivera is standing by his statement, reports The Root. Rivera appeared on Fox News on Friday to discuss Chicago’s rising murder rate. He claims that some of the city’s homicides occurred because victims wore “thug wear.” He went on to say, “I was right about the hoodie wasn’t I. I hate to brag but I got criticized by every pundit in America when I said Trayvon Martin would be alive but for the fact that he was wearing thug wear… he was was wearing the hoodie. Turns out now that we look at George Zimmerman’s interviews with the police; he didn’t profile Trayvon Martin because he was Black, he profiled him because he was wearing a hoodie… he was a strange kid wearing the same garb like other perpetrators of house break-ins in this community.” For all the education this guy has, he says some of the dumbest isht in the fawking world! ..And in that order! Soulja Boy has defended his new girlfriend Diamond against comments made by her ex-boyfriend Lil Scrappy. Soulja, who was accompanied by Diamond to the 2012 BET Awards last weekend, believes that Scrappy was coming at him in the media recently when talking about his failed relationship with the ex-Crime Mob member: “This is my baby, this is my girl, so anything said about her is basically they’re saying it about me,” Soulja told MTV. “I’m backin’ her 100 percent, and we’re just focusing on the positive. Anybody talkin’ about her name on TV, that’s just bringin’ us up more. So salute to them, we wish them the best.” While Scrappy did mention both Diamond and Soulja in a previous interview, he actually wished them the best of luck. Things began to heat up last year when it was revealed that Diamond was dating Soulja Boy. It’s unclear whether she cheated on Scrappy or if her relationship with the Soulja Boy came after, but whatever the case, Scrap feels slighted. Scrappy said he helped Diamond get her rap career on track, putting her needs before his own, and after their breakup, he felt used. Plus, with the news Scrappy’s mom, Mama Dee reportedly ran Diamond off the filming of Love & Hip Hop ATL as well as talking about her “hygiene issues” on the show, we’re sure her presence is not missed.
