Lauren Conrad’s Love Triangle, Lady Gaga’s ‘Hills’ Past And More On ‘The Hills: Revealed’

‘The Hills: Revealed’ takes a look at some of the biggest moments in the show’s history. By Jocelyn Vena Lauren Conrad on “The Hills” Photo: MTV Do you think you know everything about “The Hills” ? Have you been following the lives of Lauren Conrad and her gang since her days on “Laguna Beach?” Well, on MTV’s “The Hills: Revealed,” fans get the behind-the-scenes stories behind some of the show’s greatest moments. And, if you think you know, the show proved that you really have no idea. Long before Lauren Conrad lived in “The Hills,” she was high school girl caught up in a love triangle with Laguna Beach High’s Stephen Colletti and future “Hills” star Kristin Cavallari. But, it seemed that securing the elusive Colletti wasn’t as easy as “Laguna Beach” producers hoped that it would be. Colletti didn’t want to be on the show, and despite LC admitting that she liked him on her audition tape, it took some convincing to get Colletti to agree. Eventually he did, but there was a third puzzle piece missing: “We literally could not find Kristin,” MTV executive Liz Gately said. “We didn’t have any tape on her, didn’t have any pictures — our entire production was waiting on this girl.” Once “Laguna” producers found Cavallari, they had a show and everyone couldn’t get enough of LC. So, eventually “LB” came to an end and she moved to “The Hills,” where fans got the chance to meet Lady Gaga long before she was the superstar that she is now. At a 2008 fashion show, LC and her pal Whitney Port had to help style Gaga for a performance at the show. Gaga’s catsuit zipper broke, LC managed to save the day and from there a star was born. Speaking of stars being born, while Justin Bobby (whose last name happens to be Brescia) didn’t show up on the show until season 3, he had been in Audrina Patridge’s life for quite a while longer. They had met when Audrina was working at Quixote Studios and he was there, working on a shoot as a hair stylist. They dated on and off for some time, and while it was difficult for Audrina to get him to commit, it was more difficult for “Hills” producers to get him to agree to be on the show. So by the time he and Audrina decided to give their relationship another try, he had to agree to be on the show. “Third season comes around and he’s back in my life,” Audrina recalled. “So I’m like, ‘Well if you want to hang out with me you have to be on camera.'” He finally agreed, Lo Bosworth christened him Justin Bobby and the rest is reality-TV relationship history. Fans couldn’t get enough of Speidi, so when Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt decided to get married in April 2009, producers had to make sure that everything, including cameos by LC and Kristin, went just right. As if keeping the two girls away from each other wasn’t difficult enough, power issues in the church meant that they would have to work hours longer. Once they got the power restored, LC was able to reunite with Heidi one last time, Kristin was able to surprise everyone by strutting into the church, Speidi could finally get married — not to mention that LC could drive off into the sunset. Lo Bosworth Calls ‘The Hills’ Her ‘Home Movies’

‘I just hope that people look back on it fondly,’ ‘Hills’ star says of the show’s big farewell. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Matt Elias Lo Bosworth Photo: Matt Elias/ MTV News Since Lo Bosworth made the move from “Laguna Beach” to “The Hills” alongside her pal Lauren Conrad, she’s seen roommates come and go, she’s seen guys break hearts and ladies get their hearts broken, and she even gave Justin Bobby his infamous nickname . When “The Hills” comes to an end Tuesday at 10 p.m. on MTV, Bosworth thinks fans will remember it as a groundbreaking show, a sentiment echoed by Kristin Cavallari . “I hope that people remember it as a show that was a guilty pleasure, of course, but really sort of paved the way for reality TV in general,” she told MTV News. In fact, Bosworth said shows will come along and try to replace “The Hills,” but she thinks none will come close. “There was never a show like ‘The Hills’ before ‘The Hills,’ and so in that regard, it is something that is unique,” she said. “And I feel people will struggle to re-create exactly what we have been a part of. I’m happy about that.” This season, Bosworth let fans into her life a bit more, filming at her job at Smashbox as well as bringing her boyfriend, Scott, on camera. She said being on the show has definitely meant that her life memories have been preserved for all time. “You know, I just hope that people look back on it fondly in the end,” she explained. “It’s like home movies!” What will you remember “The Hills” for? The Hills Recap: Brody Jenner is "Seeing Someone"

As we gear up toward what can only be described as an epic series finale July 13, the penultimate episode of The Hills certainly featured a lot of things going on. Some of them possibly even real! Heidi Montag’s sister Holly and Darlene Egelhoff, their mom, lamented that Heidi has gone totally off the rails. They’ve been trying to reach her but can’t. Kristin Cavallari puts it all out there and says she has feelings for Brody Jenner , but he isn’t really reciprocating the fake love. Lo and Stephanie also star. Here’s THG’s recap of Tuesday’s The Hills , “Loves Me Not” … O RLY? YA RLY: Brody ignores Kristin and texts “someone else .” Stephanie, Lo and Holly talk about the ca-ra-zy drama that went down in Costa Rica over lunch. Gotta rehash all the details, and totally naturally. Plus 5 . Brody says he’s hanging out with a new girl. How come The Hills calls “Ryan Cabrera” by first and last name, yet won’t say Avril Lavigne at all? Minus 5 . Brody’s friend Josh, who races motorcycles, introduces himself to Stephanie Pratt, and the pair have an instant connection – they don’t drink. Plus 4 . Holly Montag picks her mom up from the airport. They’ll have to wait for Heidi to come around. Minus 3 for falsely getting our hopes up for Speidi, Hills . Kristin tells Stacie how Brody wants to talk and it’s, like, her chance to finally tell him how she feels. Minus 6 , because it’s really the producers’ chance. SIDEKICK STEPH: She-Pratt’s falling fast and hard for a new man . Holly tries calling, but her voicemail isn’t activated. We’re sure that’s real, much like Spencer’s apology to LC, which she wasn’t actually listening to. Minus 5 . Scott surprises Lo on their one year anniversary by asking her if she wants to move in together. Plus 7 , because while we really don’t care, they’re very sweet! Kristin lays it all out there. Brody says he’s sorry, but he’s met someone else. Minus 14 because we know this, and Kristin does too, and it’s a famous musician. Nearly lost for words, Darlene tells Holly that since Heidi Montag has been gone, it feels like she’s mourning the loss of a child. Not at all melodramatic. Plus 8 . Kristin cries when she tells Lo that Brody rejected her and is seeing someone else. Bull$h!t, since she’s dating Miguel Medina , a Hills cameraman! Minus 20 . TOTAL: -27 . SEASON: -41 .

Kelly Cutrone Reveals Her Favorite ‘Hills’ Moments

‘I didn’t even know what ‘The Hills’ was,’ ‘City’ star reveals about her season one appearance on the show. By Jocelyn Vena Lauren Conrad Photo: MTV With the series finale of “The Hills” set to take place on July 13, it’s time to reflect on some of the show’s greatest moments. Whether it’s the time Lauren Conrad first stepped into her apartment with Heidi Montag or what is certain to be an emotional final scene on the show, “The Hills” has had fans glued to their TV screens week after week for six seasons. For a while, People’s Revolution head honcho Kelly Cutrone was part of the madness. Now one of the stars of “The City,” Cutrone admits there are a couple of standout moments from her time on the show that are her favorites in its storied history. It was the moment Cutrone met LC for the first time at the Jennifer Nicholson fashion show during Fashion Week. And it was a moment that Cutrone made her future employee cry when she didn’t comply with getting LC tickets for her Teen Vogue boss Lisa Love. Cutrone is now able to laugh about the whole experience. “I didn’t even know what ‘The Hills’ was,” Cutrone recalled about being featured in the season-one finale. “But I knew this girl was coming. It took her a while to realize [I was the woman she was supposed to get the tickets from at the show]. And I think I made her cry. “It’s one of my favorite moments. I wasn’t happy that she was crying. That look was kind of Betty Davis, Tammy Faye. It’s the ultimate pop-culture drama-girl moment,” she recalled. And Cutrone’s list would not be complete without her now infamous job interview with Stephanie Pratt . “I was walking into the L.A. office, Pratt’s there, and she’s sitting on the couch [looking scared],” she remembered. “[Lauren explained,] ‘She’s just really nervous to meet you.’ Not to be mean, but it was probably one of the least exciting interviews. The first thing I notice is [her] objective. It says ‘to become a handbag designer.’ ” How does Cutrone feel about that objective now? “I’ve never seen anything like that,” she said. “Why would you put that?” Which of Kelly Cutrone’s ‘Hills’ moments is your favorite? Lauren Conrad to Appear on The Hills Reunion

Lauren Conrad is finally returning to The Hills … right after it ends. One week from tonight, the girl who made the MTV reality show a hit will be on hand for the Live Reunion Show after the now-sagging series mercifully goes off the air. The reunion will immediately follow the series finale of The Hills and the season finale of The City . Whitney Port reported the LC news, as well as her own attendance: “I am so happy to tell you all that I will be attending the reunion, as will Lauren!” Whitney wrote on her official site. “I am so excited to see everyone and catch up.” “I am so excited to see what’s next for them,” the former Hills star and current City leading lady continued. “It’s been so long since we have all been together.” REUNITED : For one night and one night only, next Tuesday . What remains unclear is whether Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt , exiled from the show in recent weeks without notice, will appear between now and July 13. Tonight, the penultimate episode of The Hills airs, followed by The City . The former will likely focus on Kristin and Audrina’s predictably boring romantic drama. Sigh. We can only hope Speidi returns to liven things up one last time.

Pill Went From ‘Zero To 60’ To Become ‘Hottest Breakthrough MCs Of 2010’ Candidate

Fans decide our ‘Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010′ — vote now! The winner will be revealed on July 25. By Shaheem Reid Phil Photo: Warner Bros. “Hottest Breakthrough MCs of 2010” Candidate: Pill Fourteen months ago, Pill had the trap going ham for his street pharmaceuticals. The young rapper struck gold when he dropped his rugged video for “Trap Goin’ Ham.” Rapping with a Corona in his hand, he showed women in his neighborhood smoking Newports and dudes rolling blunts. It was uncut, real and raw, and it gave you a flashback to that unflinching peak of ATL when some of the greats, such as Outkast and T.I., showed their lives in Georgia. Since then, Pill has become a favorite of hip-hop bloggers with his mixtapes 4180: The Prescription, 4075: The Refill and 1140: The Overdose. “It’s surreal, man. When you start off, you hope you can make it to this place,” Pill said of his growing popularity. ” 4180 was my first solo project ever. I went from zero to 60.” With that trilogy done, Pill is working on a brand-new tape, sans the medicinal theme, with DJ Holiday and the Empire. His debut LP should be dropping sometime in the fourth quarter or top of 2011. ” The Medicine, I’m working on it. I wanna make sure I don’t rush it. Once you get the deal, you feel like, ‘I gotta drop the album,’ ” Pill said. “I wanna make sure everything is new, everything is fresh. I got music for it. But I just wanna make sure all the feelings I go through, all the experiences, I wanna incorporate everything. Look forward to The Medicine. Not too many features. I don’t wanna crowd my first album with a bunch of features and make it a compilation CD. I want it to be more of me giving the people who I am and letting them see where I come from and hear my testimony.” Although the album is still being recorded, Pill said he has a keeper. It’s one of his most personal projects yet. ” ‘A Song for My Momma,’ ” Pill said when asked about a must-hear on his LP. “My momma passed away. I went in the studio, and I had been so stressed that week. That night, I was out clubbing, and I got a little tipsy. I was in New York. When I got back, I burst into tears. It caught up with me. I was like, ‘Damn, I’m actually doing what I told my momma I was gonna do.’ It was like, ‘Man, I gotta make her a song.’ I was supposed to make her a song, and I been running from it. I knew it was gonna take a lot of emotion and pain to do it. So when I got to the studio, I was boo-hooing still. My pages [that I write my rhymes on] was wet up, but I got through it.” Pill and 19 other up-and-coming MCs are in the running to become MTV News’ “Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010” — and the winner will be decided by you! Cast your vote for the “Hottest Breakthrough MC of 2010” right here . The top five will be revealed beginning July 19, and the winner will be announced on the “Sucker Free Summit” July 25!

Top 10 ‘The Hills’ Moments, From Speidi’s Wedding To Lauren’s Farewell

We pick the best so far, as the reality series celebrates its 100th episode on Tuesday. By Jocelyn Vena Audrina Patridge, Brody Jenner and Kristin Cavallari Photo: MTV We’re more than halfway through the final season of “The Hills” and Tuesday’s (June 29) show will mark the 100th episode of the MTV reality series. Even with Lauren Conrad long-gone, Speidi, Stephanie, Audrina, Kristin and the rest of the crew have been up to some serious shenanigans this season. Leading up to the show’s pivotal 100th episode, MTV News is giving you a cheat sheet of the show’s top 10 moments — a list of some of this season’s top moments so far is on the way — all to help you get caught up before the “Hills” finale airs July 13. #10: Stephanie Pratt’s Interview With Kelly Cutrone After landing a coveted job interview with People’s Revolution PR maven Kelly Cutrone, Pratt seemed at a loss as to how to actually leave a good impression on your potential boss. For one, telling her your objective is to become a handbag designer? Bad idea. Did she get the job? Of course she did — then she lost it. #9: Justin Is Christened Justin Bobby Before Audrina brought her new guy over to meet Lauren Conrad and Lo Bosworth, the two pals went back and forth over what to call him. “His name is Justin, but he, like, wants to change it to Bobby,” Lauren explained to Lo. When the hairstylist/drummer arrived at the girls’ apartment, Lo asked if it was OK to call him Justin Bobby , bestowing him with the most memorable nickname in “Hills” history. #8: Heidi Crashes LC’s Work Party As an intern at Teen Vogue, Lauren was just hoping to stay in the good graces of her boss, Lisa Love. Her party-girl roommate, Heidi Montag, however, just wanted to have a good time. She showed up uninvited to the bash with a small entourage and nearly ended Conrad’s internship. #7 & #6: Holly Gets Tipsy, Heidi Marries Spencer While it was probably shocking for bride-to-be Montag to watch her sister Holly’s drunken antics at her rehearsal dinner , it was probably even more shocking for viewers who realized that Heidi and Spencer really did intend to get married. #5: Kristin Declares War There has been bickering on “The Hills,” but nothing seemed quite as vicious as the fight between Kristin Cavallari and Audrina , who fought over Justin Bobby at a rooftop party during season five. Plus, until then, we’d never heard any of the show’s stars utter anything as juicy as Kristin’s now infamous “It’s on, bitch!” #4: Heidi Moves Out After many ups and many more downs, the dynamic duo that was once Lauren and Heidi really began to fall apart, when one major down, Spencer Pratt, came between the roomies. Heidi moved out of her apartment with LC to pursue her relationship with Spencer. And although the once-close pair sometimes crossed paths, their friendship was never the same. #3: LC Chooses Love Over Paris Maybe Lisa Love was right when she predicted LC was “going to always be known as the girl who didn’t go to Paris.” But at the time, Conrad really thought she had something going on with boyfriend Jason Wahler. Her pal Whitney Port went instead and Lauren had a pretty terrible summer. #2 & #1: LC, Heidi Reconcile, LC Exits It was the moment that had Heidi, LC and “Hills” fans in tears. For a brief moment, the onetime besties reconciled and reminisced about what had made them friends in the first place: They actually liked each other. But the brief reconciliation was too little, too late. What is your favorite moment from “The Hills”? Let us know in the comments! “The Hills” airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. ET on MTV.

‘The Hills’ Recap: Audrina Breaks Up With Ryan

Meanwhile, Kristin warns Allie and McKaela not to cross her path again. By Amy Wilkinson Audrina Patridge on “The Hills” Tuesday Things haven’t been looking great for Audrina Patridge and her spiky-haired musician boyfriend, Ryan Cabrera , so it was hardly surprising the couple called it quits on Tuesday night’s episode of “The Hills.” After tearing up at Ryan’s concert last week and leaving in the middle of his set, Audrina finally offered the first coherent explanation for her waterworks. “In my mind, I feel like it’s coming to an end,” she told Stephanie, Lo and Kristin while out for dessert. “I made a mental list of pros and cons. It’s not going to work.” But Audrina, it’s nearly your birthday! You must do something fun for the big 2-5! Stephanie smartly suggested a boat ride in Marina Del Rey. But when Kristin asked if she should invite Justin Bobby, Audrina remained mum. Later, Lo, Stephanie and Kristin debated whether they should indeed invite JB to the shindig. “I just don’t want him to take advantage of the situation,” Lo worried. “The thing with Justin and Audrina is, they’re always going to be in each other’s lives,” Kristin countered. But Lo was sure Justin had an agenda. “I’m worried if Justin comes, the opening will be there, and she might take it. You can see it when they just talk.” One person who won’t be receiving an invite to Audrina’s party? McKaela — because where McKaela goes, Allie follows. Just as the gang was settling in for a night of partying at the club (and Kristin began administering a “love squeeze” to Brody), in walked the ever-innocent McKaela with her much-disliked gal pal Allie. And once again, Allie confronted Kristin, trying to convince her that she didn’t break into Brody’s apartment looking for the now-infamous lost ring. “You have absolutely no reason to hate me, Kristin,” Allie yelled. The two engaged in a short, heated game of grabbing each other’s wrists, which was the last straw for Kristin, who finally decided to leave. The next day, Kristin ran into McKaela while picking up Lo for lunch, leading to another awkward exchange. “Is this really about Allie or is this about me dating Brody?” McKaela asked. To which Kristin replied that they weren’t dating and that the next time McKaela saw Kristin, she should go the other way. Audrina, meanwhile, finally got some closure of her own by going over to Ryan’s house to end things. “You think we’re done?” Ryan asked, and Audrina agreed. After a good cry, however, Audrina was ready to par-tay! All of Audrina’s friends (including Justin Bobby but not Ryan) convened on a sailboat to drink, eat cupcakes and be merry. Audrina later found Justin Bobby alone on the deck of the boat. They talked about the reasons for Audrina breaking up with Ryan and how both Audrina and Justin Bobby have grown since their own split. “This is a good place to be,” Justin said. Though where that “place” is remains a mystery to us, as the two sailed off into the wild blue yonder. Do you think Audrina and Justin Bobby should get back together? Share your thoughts in the comments. “The Hills: Final Season” airs at 10 p.m. ET/PT every Tuesday, followed by “The City” at 10:30 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
