The rapper was seriously excited about being at the event when we caught up with him on the red carpet: “Any opportunity to perform is special for any artist. You gotta be grateful for any opportunity to get your face out there so I’m just blessed to be here,” he says. Way to stay humble, Dra. Dra also gave some details on what we can expect from his upcoming music. He didn’t hold any punches on the current state of hip hop and how he wants to make a change: “My new project is called No Junk Food , and basically for my age group, I’m 20, so you know, a lot of people in my age group, they not doing hip hop. They not doing bars for bars, they not doing metaphors, flows and things like that. I’m taking they style, they little mumble rap joint and putting hip hop to it. I want to bring hip hop back.” Word. Delilah Rene, a nationally syndicated radio host who specializes in dedicating love songs to fans who call in, broke some awful news to her Facebook followers yesterday: Her son, Zachariah, committed suicide last Tuesday. “My dear friends, I need to share some devastating news with you. In the early morning hours, Tuesday, October 3, my son Zachariah, took his life,” Delilah wrote to her 1.4 million online fans. She went on to give a bit of background on Zachariah’s condition: “He was being treated, counseled, and embraced fiercely by family and friends while battling depression for some time now. “My heart is broken beyond repair and I can not fathom how to go on… but I have to believe he is at peace with the Lord and that God will get us through.” In a January Facebook message, Delilah had said her son was autistic. Zack was one of the host’s 13 children, 10 of whom are adopted. Another child, Sammy, passed away in 2012 due to complications from sickle cell anemia, just two years after she adopted him from a Ghanaian refugee camp in West Africa. This is what she wrote after that personal tragedy: “My son Sammy passed from this world today into heaven, but he left behind a piece of his amazing soul in all that met him. “As painful as this moment is, I am so so so so so thankful that God allowed me, my family and friends to experience the essence of his soul for the past two years. “Everyone who met him was blessed by his big heart, his silly character voices, his wonderful sense of humor and his kindness towards all. “He was a precious, precious young man and I praise the Lord that I was allowed to be bathed in Sammy’s love as his “MommaBear”… “We have been forever changed by having him in our lives.” Delilah is proudly known as the “Queen of Sappy Love Songs.” She has responded to an endless array of requests and dedications throughout her impressive career, as her nightly show is recorded in her home and airs on various stations around the country. “I will be absent from the radio and on social media for a time as I grieve and try to process this loss with my family,” Delilah wrote on Facebook shortly after confirming Zach’s passing. She added: “In the meantime we’ll be playing some of my favorite shows from the recent past. I’ll look forward to my return, as you all lift me up so very much. “Please pray for my beloved Zacky, and I will pray for all suffering from this debilitating disease called depression.” View Slideshow: 24 Stars Who Committed Suicide
If you’ve been keeping up with Kailyn Lowry and all of her baby drama, you know that the naming of precious little Baby Lo has been a little bit of an ordeal. Like, it took her nearly two entire months to name the kid. But then, in a trendy Instagram post, she revealed that she’d finally completed the task, and the world was introduced to Lux Russell . Lux is … well, it’s an interesting name, we’ll say that. And according to some quotes from an interview Kailyn just did with The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, the reasoning behind the name is just as interesting. As she explains , “It took me so long to name the baby because I was trying to work with Chris to agree on the name. But we just couldn’t agree.” “Until we ended things for good and I decided I would just pick something I loved and he agreed to the first name prior to me deciding it would be the name for sure.” So they had a hard time settling on a name they both liked, but they both thought Lux was OK, so now that they’re completely done with each other , she just went with it. “I finally decided on a name because it felt like I was going nowhere with Chris trying to decide,” she says. Fair enough. But when they were still trying to reach a decision together, they liked the name Lux because it’s “different but not completely off-the-wall.” They were also strongly considering naming the baby Christian. As for Lux’s middle name, Russell, Kailyn chose it because of Russell Vitale, a hip hop artist she likes who goes by the stage name of Russ. It may seem like an odd choice, but Russell is a classic name on its own, and besides, her other two kids were similarly named. Isaac, bless his heart, was named after Isaac Hanson of the beloved boy band Hanson, and Lincoln’s middle name is Marshall, after Marshall Mathers. Lastly, Kailyn reveals the answer to another question we’ve been wondering for a while now: whose last name does the baby have?! She says that her third son’s full name is Lux Russell Lowry — she gave him her last name, and she simply says that she “doesn’t know” how Chris feels about it. Which is a little concerning, because it sounds like she and Chris have really had no contact for a while now, if he doesn’t know something so basic about his own son. But all in all, it’s a solid enough name for a truly precious little baby . Congrats again, Kailyn! View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry Finally Reveals (VERY Unusual) Baby Name!

Source: Pedro Gomes / Getty Azealia Banks is at again with her public call outs. This time she has some words for music artist M.I.A , calling her “anti-Black.” It all started when M.I.A vented on Instagram about her relationship with former producer and ex-boyfriend Diplo . She denied that Diplo (real name Thomas Wesley Pentz ) is the reason for her success. “It’s important you don’t see me as a lil thing diplo discovered because I’m a brown woman,” she wrote. “and this is the first story of a brown female musician who smashed it for the first time. That didn’t happen because I accidentally walked passed diplo.” When talking about her success M.I.A, who is of Sri Lankan Tamil descent, also said, “There was no label no A N R no channels. a handful of people believed in me , then when I got a deal , they turned on me. This was why i forged my own path and style and genre. I didn’t want anyone to say they made me!” Azealia peeped M.I.A’s words and challenged the idea that she was completely original. See the rant below: Mia be lowkey trying to take credit for black culture and the shit is annoying. She's like clearly quite anti-black —
Kevin Mazur/Getty Images for Billboard Magazine Lil Yachty Takes Over New York Pizzeria Beside being a rapper, the one thing most people probably know about Lil Yachty is that he loves junk food and has never eaten a vegetable in his life. One thing he especially loves is pizza, which was proven recently when him and Rob Markman interviewed him for Genius while making pizza. His latest pizza endeavor is one of his own, taking over a famous New York pizza shop and turning it into a pop-up merchandise store for the weekend. Ben’s Pizzeria is in Soho, Manhattan, and a long line has already been formed outside of the store for the chance to possibly meet Yachty and cop some merch.
