Peaches Geldof Death: Father, Husband "Beyond Pain"

Peaches Geldof, the daughter of world-famous musician Bob Geldof, died Monday in Kent, England. She was only 25, and her father is at an utter loss. “We are beyond pain,” Bob Geldof said in a statement Monday. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.” It remains unclear how Peaches Geldof died , but it came as a shock. Medical personnel were first called to an address in a small town in Kent over “a report of concern for the welfare of a woman” on Monday afternoon. “A woman aged 25 was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service,” Kent Police said later in a statement released to the media. “At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained sudden death . Police are working to establish the circumstances around the death.” A rep added that no further details would be disclosed on Monday. Peaches Geldof is best known for her contributions in the fashion and entertainment industries, where she’s worked as a columnist for Elle magazine. She wrote for UK newspapers the Telegraph and Guardian , and also worked as a TV presenter, hosting a series called OMG! with Peaches Geldof . This is not the first tragedy to have affected the Geldof family. Peaches lost her mother, Paula Yates, in September 2000 due to a drug overdose. Peaches Geldof was just 11 years old when Yates passed away, and she later said it was a struggle for her to accept that her mother had died. “I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it,” Geldof said in an interview with Elle UK in late 2012. “I just blocked it out.” “I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on.’ I didn’t start grieving for my mother properly until I was maybe 16.” Peaches went on to marry rocker Max Drummey, but they split up in 2009 after just six months of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2011. In 2012, she married Thomas Cohen, with whom she shares two young kids, sons Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, not even 12 months. Cohen released his own statement Monday and said: “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday.” “We shall love her forever.” Along with her husband and sons, Geldof is survived by her father, sisters Pixie and Fifi Trixibelle, and half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof. James Rebhorn Obituary Written By Actor Himself: Read His Moving, Heartfelt Goodbye

Veteran character actor James Rebhorn died on Friday from skin cancer at the age of 65, but not before a final curtain call of sorts: his own obituary. James Rebhorn’s career is familiar to many fans of film and television, spanning decades and comprised of quality roles too numerous to list here. But with his obituary, we have been given a rare glimpse into his life, as written by Rebhorn himself. While tragic, it is also quite wonderful in a sense. Read the actor’s farewell in his own words below … James Robert Rebhorn was born on Sept. 1, 1948, in Philadelphia, PA. His mother, Ardell Frances Rebhorn, nee Hoch, loved him very much and supported all his dreams. She taught him the value of good manners and courtesy, and that hospitality is no small thing. His father, James Harry Rebhorn, was no less devoted to him. From him, Jim learned that there is no excuse for poor craftsmanship. A job well done rarely takes more or less time than a job poorly done. They gave him his faith and wisely encouraged him to stay in touch with God . He is survived by his sister, Janice Barbara Galbraith, of Myrtle Beach, SC. She was his friend, his confidant, and, more often than either of them would like to admit, his bridge over troubled waters. He is also survived by his wife, Rebecca Fulton Linn, and his two daughters, Emma Rebecca Rebhorn and Hannah Linn Rebhorn. They anchored his life and gave him the freedom to live it. Without them, always at the center of his being, his life would have been little more than a vapor. Rebecca loved him with all his flaws, and in her the concept of ceaseless love could find no better example. His children made him immensely proud. Their dedication to improving our species and making the world a better place gave him hope for the future. They deal with grief differently, and they should each manage it as they see fit. He hopes, however, that they will grieve his passing only as long as necessary. They have much good work to do, and they should get busy doing it. Time is flying by. His son-in-law, Ben, also survives him. Jim loved Ben, who was as a son to Jim, especially through these last months. His aunts Jean, Dorothy and Florence, numerous cousins and their families, and many devoted friends also survive Jim. He loved them all, and he knows they loved him. Jim received his BA at Wittenberg University and his MFA at Columbia. He was a member of Lambda Chi Alpha Nu Zeta 624, a life-long Lutheran, and a longtime member of both the AMC and ACLU. Jim was fortunate enough to earn his living doing what he loved. He was a professional actor. His unions were always there for him, and he will remain forever grateful for the benefits he gained as a result of the union struggle. Without his exceptional teachers and the representation of the best agents in the business, he wouldn’t have had much of a career. He was a lucky man in every way. – Jim Rebhorn, March 2014 Celebrities We Lost in 2014 Open Slideshow 1. Philip Seymour Hoffman R.I.P. Philip Seymour Hoffman (1967-2014). He will forever be missed! Desiree Hartsock Wedding Dress: First Look!

When former Bachelorette Desiree Hartsock walks down the aisle this summer, she will do so in a custom wedding dress that she personally designed! Desiree’s keeping her wedding date under wraps, but did admit to Us that she’s currently co-designing not one but two dresses with label Maggie Sottero. A ” timeless, yet surprising ” silhouette for the vows and a “1920s-inspired” reception frock will mark the day in which she marries Chris Siegfried … “I can’t wait for Chris to see me in all the dresses!” the bridal stylist, who moved from her native Colorado to Seattle to be with Siegfried, says of her man. The Bachelorette beauty, who creates gowns for her clients from her home, didn’t start designing her own masterpiece until much later, she says. “It feels like it was 10 years ago!” she says of her run on The Bachelorette , which followed Sean Lowe rejecting her in favor of now-wife Catherine Giudici. Safe to say that worked out for the best for everyone involved. “It’s funny if people bring up things that happened on the show, because it feels like it was a decade ago because we’re just living our life now.” “We’ll reminisce about Germany or what we did in Antigua,” Desiree Hartsock says, “but for the most part we’re just focusing on making new memories.” While many Bachelor and Bachelorette contestants have televised their weddings on ABC, she remains undecided about the scale of her nuptials. “I think I want it to be more low key than people expect – a small ceremony – and just the essentials,” she predicts. “I’m just excited to be designing my dress!” As for Nikki Ferrell designing her dress for her wedding to Juan Pablo … we would bet a great deal of money against that scenario coming to fruition. Mick Jagger Statement on L’Wren Scott: Rocker "Struggling to Understand" Tragedy

Mick Jagger says he is still “struggling to understand” why his girlfriend L’Wren Scott, a renowned fashion designer, ended her life in New York yesterday. On his website, Jagger posted a black and white photo of the former model, simply titling it “L’Wren.” On the homepage, he wrote a brief statement: I am still struggling to understand how my lover and best friend could end her life in this tragic way. We spent many wonderful years together and had made a great life for ourselves. She had great presence and her talent was much admired, not least by me. I have been touched by the tributes that people have paid to her, and also the personal messages of support that I have received. I will never forget her, Mick The 49-year-old designer was found dead in her apartment of an apparent suicide, according to police. Her motivation for doing so is very much unclear. Scott was a renowned stylist and fashion designer whose clothes have been worn by A-listers including Nicole Kidman, Angelina Jolie and Penelope Cruz. In addition to her career in fashion, in which she earned a legion of famous fans, Scott had been romantically linked to Jagger for more than a decade. Jagger and his band were on tour in Australia when they received news of L’Wren Scott’s death . His rep denied that a Jagger split may have played a role. The band announced today that it has postponed its tour of Australia and New Zealand, which had been scheduled for Mar. 19 through April 5. In a statement, the group said, “The Rolling Stones are deeply sorry and disappointed to announce the postponement of the rest of their 14 ON FIRE tour.” The group said they wish to “thank all of their fans for their support at this difficult time and hope that they will fully understand the reason for this announcement.” Celebrities We Lost in 2014 Open Slideshow 1. Cynthia Lynn Dies; Hogan’s Heroes Star Was 76

Cynthia Lynn, one of the last surviving members of the hit ’60s comedy Hogan’s Heroes, has died at the age of 76. Her daughter, Lisa Brando, confirmed the news. Lynn played Colonel Klink’s secretary Fraulein Helga, the pretty blonde with braided hair, during the show’s first season and throughout the series’ six seasons. Lynn passed from sudden multiple organ failure in Panorama City, Ca., and is survived by daughter Brando, whose father was late actor Marlon Brando. Screen and stage legend Brando met Lynn on the set of 1964’s Bedtime Stories . Lisa took to Facebook on Monday to mourn the loss of her mother. “May all the fans of my mother light candles for her tonight… And pray for us all and her loving fiance that is beside himself right now,” she wrote. “Thank you all so very much… This happened with NO WARNING… She died about 1 hour ago… OMG OMG OMG I can’t even believe this is real.” Lisa created a Memorial Fund in the hopes of raising $100,000 for Lynn’s service. “She did not have any money and I KNOW that she wanted to have CELEBRATION of life for her family and fans,” Lisa wrote on the fund’s site. “She wanted to be sure that people celebrated with champagne and remembered all the great times,” she added, and we hope she’s able to be. Nancy Motes, Julia Roberts’ Late Sister, Reamed Out Actress on Twitter Last Month: Why?!

Julia Roberts’ late half-sister Nancy Motes, who died last weekend, appears to have called the Oscar winner out in a series of Twitter posts last month. Motes termed Roberts a “b!tch” and “hag” as she vented, illustrating that their rocky relationship likely never healed prior to Motes’ untimely death. Nancy Motes, Julia Roberts’ Sister, Dead Nancy Motes was found dead of an apparent overdose Sunday. In Tweets dated January 19, and written under the handle @Dabbs76, she allegedly wrote: “So my ‘sister’ said that with all her friends & fans she doesn’t need anymore love. Just so you all know ‘America’s Sweetheart’ is a B—-H!!’” She later added, “Do you want to be a fan of someone so cruel? She’s not even that good of an actress. Happy you totally F–ked with me?” Clearly, she had an axe to grind, justifiably or not. Three days later, Motes, a professional dog walker, said that that her “own family has abandoned” her. “Hey Hag! Glad you f–ked with me yet? You’re going to LOVE what’s coming! FYI – You’re an awful, hate filled old pathetic excuse for a human.” In another bizarre twist, one of her last Tweeks was to Farrah Abraham , thanking her for following her account and asking, “Do you know who I’m related to?” Motes, who had the same mother as the Pretty Woman star, long had bad blood with her A-list sister, 46, though it’s not entirely clear why or from what. Last May, it was rumored Julia was planning on skipping Motes’ wedding due to the tension, and concern that “Nancy [would] try to tap her for more money.” Julia “exploded” when she saw Motes snapping photos of her newborn twins in 2005, according to the National Enquirer , offering one possible explanation. Motes, 37, died in a bathtub, with authorities recovering both prescription and non-prescription drugs at the Los Angeles home she was discovered in. “The investigator at the scene listed at this point that he is going with suicide,” a source said, but they are “waiting for the doctor to finish the examination.” Celebrities We Lost in 2014 Open Slideshow 1. Courtland Rogers, Jenelle Evans’ Husband, Shares Hardcore Heroin Video

Courtland Rogers, Jenelle Evans’ husband and a hardcore drug fiend, has shared a video of himself getting high on the drug that killed Philip Seymour Hoffman . In the wake of Hoffman’s tragic demise, as well as the loss of beloved Glee star Cory Monteith just months ago, Radar and Rogers have jointly published this. In the sickening footage, ostensibly shared to show the impact of the narcotic, Rogers gazes into the camera, mixes the heroin in a small cap and fills a syringe. Rogers, who is still technically married to Jenelle Evans of Teen Mom 2, then flicks the syringe, slumps forward and injects it into his tattooed right arm. “I did relapse, see all my track marks,” he boasts to camera, then within seconds of shooting the heroin, Rogers slurs: “Now I am officially high as hell.” After kicking his habit in jail, Courtland Rogers says he is now clean and determined to help others avoid the dangerous drug by revealing his experiences. “Heroin gave me the most euphoric high,” he told Radar in an exclusive interview this week. “It was a feeling of finally being loved by something.” But that love quickly turned sour. He said, “It got to the point where I had to have it, where I’d do anything in the world to feel that high and not get sick.” “In the past six months, I have lost four friends to heroin,” Rogers revealed. “That is four families without their loved ones, one being my own cousin.” “It overpowers you and takes you away from everything! It kills.” “After a while, you do it just to not get sick. You don’t even get high, it’s just not to get sick. It is insane! You disappear from reality and forget about everything except [heroin].” But now, he says he has a new perspective on the world. “My life without it in it makes complete sense. I don’t have to do it to stay alive now and I can actually live my life to the fullest without any drugs.” Here’s hoping people learn from this cautionary tale. 21 Shocking Celebrity Deaths Open Slideshow 1.
