Derick Dillard: What?! I Was Not Fired by TLC!

Jill Duggar’s husband Derick Dillard lives in a world where transgender people literally do not exist. Based on this view, the former reality star has earned significant backlash online. But it actually may not be the best example of how Dillard lives in his own, manufactured universe. Not after the ex-Counting On regular responded a few days ago to statement about his status on this popular TLC program. “Missing you and Jill on Counting On. Do not know why you are gone from the show,” wrote a fan of Derick’s this month, adding: “Loved watching your journey. God Bless you, Jill and the kids.” Dillard appreciated the message and wrote back: “We were going in a different direction as a family and decided to stop doing filming.” “Thank you; we hope you are encouraged in some way by our journey, especially our reliance upon our savior, Jesus Christ.” To anyone who has actually followed Dillard’s journey, this response is rich… … and flat out inaccurate. Last November, TLC issued a statement that said it had “no plans” to work with Dillard in the future after he made controversial statements about the LGBT community. Specifically, Dillard insulted and mocked fellow reality star Jazz Jennings on multiple occasions, lashing out at her transgender lifestyle. For example, just three weeks ago, Dillard labeled Jennings as a male , despite the teenager insisting in many occasions that she identities as female. Long before this latest jab, Dillard took it upon himself to slam the entire concept of anyone identifying as a gender that he or she was not born as, Tweeting: “What an oxymoron… a ‘reality’ show which follows a non-reality. ‘Transgender’ is a myth. Gender is not fluid; it’s ordained by God.” At the time, Derick tried to defend himself. Terribly. He stated that he had nothing against Jennings; that he “only [has an] issue with the words and definitions being propagated here.” So, you know, Dillard only has an issue with everything Jennings is, and stands for. That’s all. Nothing more! Several weeks after Derick first attacked Jennings and people like her, TLC confirmed it would never work with the bigot again. We want to let our viewers know that Derick Dillard has not participated in Counting On for months , wrote the network late last year, adding: The network has no plans to feature him in the future. We want to reiterate that Derick’s personal statements do not reflect the views of the network. TLC is proud to share the story of Jazz Jennings and her family and will continue to do so. Could one interpret this as saying that Dillard CHOSE not participate in filming, as he claims above, and the network then simply let viewers know that it didn’t plan on including him going forward? Yes. But does anyone really doubt that Dillard would embrace the opportunity to enter the spotlight again via a role on the show if asked by producers? (Proverbs 17:22).” Thankfully (or the exact opposite of thankfully), those who still want to hear from Dillard do not need to watch him each week on TLC in order to do so. The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 Episode 17 Recap: Shade Will Be Thrown

Marc Daly is real, you guys! On The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10 Episode 17 , we finally got to lay eyes on Kenya Moore’s husband, and we’re amazed about it.  If you watch The Real Housewives of Atlanta online , you will know that Kenya’s marriage has been the subject of much scrutiny because of it all happening in secret.  Her pals have wondered whether there was more to it than met the eye, but Kenya kept countering that her man was just not into the way men were portrayed on the franchise.  Kenya’s storyline has been lacking on The Real Housewives of Atlanta Season 10, and we would not be surprised if she were officially fired.  In any case, she finally got something to do this week. Remember the PSA about domestic violence from Cynthia Bailey? Well, Kenya was given the opportunity to speak out about it during a screening party.  This involved bringing some survivors out, glamming them up and parading them around for the Bravo cameras. As expected, all of the housewives showed up for the festivities.  It’s fantastic that these women can put all of the drama aside to come together for a good cause. Maybe there’s hope for them yet.  Sheree was quick to question where Marc was, and Kenya looked like she wanted to burst into tears. She blatantly said her husband could not book a plane ticket.  In one of the biggest shockers in recent memory, Marc brazenly walked through the doors of the event just as Kenya was giving her speech.  Sheree continued to ruffle feathers by making comments about his nose ring. Yes, Sheree is one of the wittiest housewives out there.  Marc wasted no time in letting the others know just how proud he was of his wife, but he looked like he was talking through gritted teeth.  It felt unnatural and as though the scenes had been manipulated. Yes, we know all of them are, but these looked more so.  Elsewhere, Kandi and Todd chatted about the whole fiasco with NeNe and the rape comment. Kandi wanted NeNe to tour with her, but she struggled to make a case for it.  Todd admitted that he thought it was definitely a joke, and alluded to the fact that the President of the United States makes terrible comments all the time and he’s still the President.  Maybe NeNe will get to stick around for the tour after all.  Then there was Sheree, who was pressing ahead with her relationship with Tyrone aka the man in prison. Her daughter was not amused and lashed out with a string of words that gave Sheree food for thought.  How long will it take for Sheree to realize that the relationship could all be a sham? In any case, we’re glad Sheree has a storyline this season, but she can do so much better.  What did you think of all the action? The Walking Dead Shocker: Who’s Dying?!

We think it’s fair to say that The Walking Dead Season 8 has been polarizing for long-time fans of the series.  With the death of Chandler Riggs’ Carl in the can, The Walking Dead Season 8 Episode 13 was all about advancing the plot, and it left us with a startling revelation: Another character is about to die.  When the twist-filled episode got underway, the Hilltop was gearing up for the next round of their war against the Saviors. The villains were on their way to the Hilltop, so it was time to prepare for a fight.  We were introduced to Dr. Dana who admitted that Siddiq was all talk and of very little use to them as a medic. If you watch The Walking Dead online, you will know that Carl’s dying wish was for Siddiq to find his place in the group.  But Siddiq used this to his advantage, and Dr. Dana changed her views on him. Why the swift 180? Did she want him to stop being so passive, and stick up for himself? Maggie and Simon had it out over the walkie-talkie, and the former made it clear that she was not opposed to offing the hostages she had. This did nothing to faze Simon.  He was more concerned about the people who were not tainted by the Hilltop, and that it was time to bring this war to a grinding halt.  Dwight tried to reason with Simon because he knew there was a possibility that Negan survived the big fight with Rick. Simon continued with the stance that it was time to fight.  Daryl showed up in a blaze of glory and sent bullets towards the villains. But things took a turn, and Tara ended up being hit by an arrow. This was moments after Dwight refused to kill her.  Maggie cut the lights, and it seemed like the Hilltoppers made their getaway, but they didn’t. It was all a ruse to get the Saviors into the open and to shoot them down.  Simon and his team left the compound, but not before Rick greeted them with some bullets. Rick’s back, and ready to fight his way to the top! The victory became a defeat when Tobin, Dr. Dana, and some others passed away. The Saviors had infected all of their weapons, and it meant that whoever got hit was going to turn into a walker.  As the characters battled the wave of walkers, it became apparent that Tara was about to die. Daryl swore that he was going to take down Dwight, while Tara realized she would soon be dead.  How will the series cope with the loss of another series regular? Hit the comments below! We have no doubt that Kylie Jenner loves her daughter. However, there may be something that Kylie Jenner loves even more than little Stormi: herself. Specifically, her former self, by which we mean the figure Jenner used to show off on a regular basis nearly everyday via social media. Just as Kim Kardashian and Kourtney Kardashian did before her, Kylie is dead set these days on acting like the worst version of herself. She’s all about setting a terrible example for women by focusing extensively on her post-baby body and emphasizing the importance of one losing one’s pregnancy weight as soon as humanly possible. (Editor’s Note: As soon as humanly possible when one has a personal chef, a personal trainer and no regular job at which one needs to be everyday, we ought to add.) Within weeks of welcoming Stormi into the world, Kylie has started to once again share sexy snapshots of herself on Instagram. She believes anyone who has a problem with the ways in which she’s shedding these pounds (e.g. using a stupid waist trainer) is just jealous of her body , as she’s intent on regaining the svelte stomach that has helped make her famous. Prior to sharing this footage, Kylie jumped into a hot tub with best friend Jordyn Woods and also shared a few pictures from that fun outing. The 20-year old reality star is wearing a one-piece bathing suit in these images, but it’s very clear that her goal is to break that attire into two. She wants to be rocking a bikini again in just a couple months, as evidenced by a throwback photo Kylie also shared online this weekend. It hearkens back to a simpler time, when Jenner did not have a tiny human at home to care for, and and it included a very simple caption: summer goals . Regular readers of The Hollywood Gossip have likely heard us say this before. But we’re going to say it again: Of course it’s perfectly fine for Kylie Jenner to have weight loss goals. It’s completely cool for her to want to lose some weight and get back to a body that makes her comfortable and proud. We have no objection at all to such a personal desire. Instead, we object to the way Kylie and her sisters have made this sort of endeavor so public. Not every new mother out there has access to the personal chef and/or trainer that we mentioned above. They’re busy and stressed out enough trying to keep their baby happy and healthy, while maybe balancing a job or other responsibilities at home, without worrying about numbers on a scale. It’s a luxury that someone like Jenner can afford to give birth and then almost instantly get back into an intense workout and diet routine. In general, we’ve pleaded for years for members of this family to stop prioritizing weight loss and bikini bodies and ideal figures on social media. It just sets a bad example for their millions and millions of followers, many of whom are young women. There was actually a time when Kim and Khloe embraced their curves, long before waist training companies and diet shakes tossed money their way to shill for their products. Selena Gomez: Off the Wagon Following Justin Bieber Split?

When the world first learned that Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez had gotten back together yet again, fans braced themselves for the fallout of another ugly breakup. Sure enough, Selena and Justin split after just a few short weeks of peaceful reconciliation. And just as fans feared, the Biebs is once again showing his petty side and displaying tremendous insensitivity toward Selena’s fragile emotional state. Based on their recent interactions, it seems Bieber is dating Baskin Champion , a 22-year-old model who has been spotted with the singer several times in the past two weeks. However, those who know Justin best say that he’s not actually serious about his relationship with Champion and is simply using her to make Selena jealous. “Selena is telling her friends that she doesn’t give a f-ck what Justin is up to and the fact that he is seeing other women is the exact reason why she ended this last time,” But those who know the singer best are buying into her feigned flippancy: “Selena has been acting very distant from everyone and there’s been a lot of concern for her well-being because she’s been acting off.” Selena checked into rehab twice in as many years, and while there’s been no indication that she’s fallen off the wagon as a result of her breakup, that possibility is the greatest fear of her loved ones these days. Gomez received a kidney transplant  last year, and the likelihood that a period of hard-partying could have catastrophic consequences is frighteningly high. Even discounting her latest breakup, the past year has been an incredibly tumultuous one for Gomez. Gomez has cut ties with her mother, Mandy Teefey, who was apparently hoping that their relationship would benefit from Selena parting ways with Bieber. “Her mother Mandy was hoping that the breakup would bring Selena back into her life but that hasn’t happened,” says the source. “Mandy has literally tried everything she can and Selena just does not seem interested in working things out at all.” It’s yet another reason that Selena’s inner circle is said to be deeply concerned for the 25-year-old’s welfare. “Selena’s friends think the only reason she got back with Justin in the first place was to break his heart for breaking her heart so many times.” We guess that mission was less than successful.

Rob Valletta Opens Up About "Obsessed" Scheana Marie

If you’ve been watching Vanderpump Rules recently, then you know the season’s most compelling storyline revolves around the doomed relationship between Scheana Marie and Rob Valletta . Now, before we go any further, it’s important to note that sometimes, reality stars become the victims of bad editing and are portrayed in a fashion that’s inconsistent with their real life behavior. But that’s not what happened with Scheana. It couldn’t have happened with Scheana. Unless she was forced to read scripted lines at gunpoint, or what we’ve seen all season is a flawless CGI rendering of Scheana, then those words really formed in her brain and came out of her mouth. Which means the aspiring pop star went through a period of time in which she was deeply, troublingly obsessed with Rob Valletta . Fortunately, Valletta got out before coming home to find an al denté pet rabbit waiting for him on the stove. Yes, Rob dumped Scheana just a few months into the relationship that she was so sure would end in marriage. (Homegirl even named their future kids after a few weeks of dating, which we’re pretty sure is literally a scene from that movie where Kate Hudson tries to scare off a pre-McConnaissance McConaughey.) The breakup didn’t surprise anyone, but the fact that Rob hasn’t since changed his name and relocated to the Alps is downright shocking. Not only has Rob decided to roll the dice by remaining in the States, he’s even been openly discussing his breakup on social media. Fortunately, Rob is aware that the first rule of dealing with a potential psychopath is “don’t say anything that might set them off.” Asked by a fan if he’s happy he broke with Scheana, Rob went the diplomatic route, replying: “No one is ever happy when they break up with anyone if they truly care.” That’s good! This dude might have to give up his career in TV wall-mounting to run for office. Rob was considerably more terse (and less truthful) when asked if he believes Scheana was obsessed with him. Rob replied simply, “No.” He went on to dash any hopes for a reconciliation, however, saying that he rarely speaks with Scheana these days. Asked about The Divorce Closet – the website that he planned to launch with Scheana that would enable divorced couples to sell their items online – Rob said he’s planning to go ahead with the project, but Scheana has chosen not to invest. Sadly, he didn’t answer any questions about why the hell divorced couples can’t just sell their sh-t on eBay. She thought she was encouraging fans to work out She thought she was giving them a look at her workout. “#ShowMeYourSteps,” the former singer wrote as a caption to the first photo listed below, adding: “#Niners #GucciGlasses #JSTheWarmUp.” But the Internet can be a cruel place. And, as you can see below, social media followers aren't focused on Simpson's calorie burning, but rather on a certain body part that stands out in this initial photo… 1. Hello, Lips! Jessica Simpson is receiving a lot of flak for this selfie. Followers are aghast over her very plump lips. 2. Quack! Quack! The general consensus from critics is that Simpson’s lips make Kylie Jenner’s lips look thin and natural. 3. Let’s Be Frank There was no beating around the bush here. Various critics came right out with how they feel. 4. This is a New Hashtag #AwfulThings, huh? Again, no beating around the bush here. 5. What… is… Happening? We all know the answer, don’t we? Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer: PROOF They’re Dating?!

Kailyn Lowry and Leah Messer have a lot in common: they both have three children, they're both on Teen Mom 2, they're both single … It makes sense that they've gotten closer recently. But have they gotten so close that they're actually no longer single? Because they're dating EACH OTHER?! It's a surprisingly popular theory making its way around the Teen Mom gossip circuit right now. Let's get into why so many people are convinced that these two moms have found love, right in the cast of their own show! 1. Love in Hawaii Earlier this month, Leah and Kailyn went on vacation together to Hawaii, along with some other friends. They stayed for quite a while and it looks like they bonded a lot during their trip. 2. Babes They shared a lot of photos from their time in Hawaii on Instagram, and it was the captions they wrote about each other that really got people wondering what was going on between them. 3. Besties, OR MORE? For example, in every photo that Kailyn shared of Leah, or of herself with Leah, she referred to her as a “babe.” 4. Hmmm … And yes, there are some women who refer to their female friends as “babe,” that’s definitely true, but “babe” is also a common term of endearment for people in relationships, is it not?! Anyway, the “babe” business isn’t our key piece of evidence, we’re just getting started. 5. #LoveIsLove Nope, Leah’s captions are much, much more interesting — for example, when she posted this picture, she wrote “Many have an image of us but few get the picture. ♥️ I get you and I love you @kaillowry !!” She added a couple of kissing emojis, as well as a “love is love” hashtag. 6. What’s Up, Leah? “Love is love” is a beautiful sentiment, of course, but it’s very commonly used in the LGBT community. Tom Scotto: Best Friend of O.J. Simpson Dies at 56

The life of O.J. Simpson has taken another strange turn today. Simpson’s former best friend and longtime confidante Tom Scotto has passed away at the age of 56. To understand just how bizarre Simpson and Scotto’s relationship was, we need only to look at the last few months of both men’s lives. In October of 2017 Simpson was released from prison on robbery charges. At the time of his release, Scotto offered to allow Simpson to move into his palatial home in Naples, Florida. Scotto publicly rescinded the offer shortly thereafter, alleging that he recently learned Simpson had slept with his then-wife in 2007. Shortly after that, Scotto was hospitalized due to complications from pneumonia. Just nine days ago, Scotto spoke with Radar Online and informed the outlet that his health was on the upswing. He claimed was soon to be moved out of the intensive care unit with the eventual goal of returning home. Two days later, however, Scotto signed a “do not resuscitate” order after his health took yet another turn for the worse. Today, family and friends were shocked by the new that Scotto had passed away. “Tom Scotto died of the broken heart because O.J. slept with the man’s wife!” a source close both Scotto and Simpson tells Radar. “O.J. only cares about himself but with Scotto’s death, he’s going to feel like sh-t!” “It’s desperately sad Tom and O.J. didn’t settle their differences before he died, but now everyone’s worried what O.J. might do. He can behave all crazy and has an awful temper,” says a second source. The tipster included a chilling (thought likely apocryphal) account of Scotto’s final moments: “Scotto’s last words were ‘O.J. took everything away from me and I don’t want to live anymore,'” the insider alleges. Obviously there’s no way to confirm that particular claim, but in his final interview – just days before his death – Scotto made his contempt for Simpson abundantly clear: “After everything I did for O.J., that was complete betrayal,” Scotto said of the allegation that Simpson slept with his ex-wife. “I was a brother to him.” View Slideshow: O.J. Abby Lee Miller Shades Mackenzie Ziegler Over Vaping Video

Even though  Abby Lee Miller is still locked up  despite having been scheduled for early release, she can still throw shade at her former students. This time, she's taking aim at 13-year-old Mackenzie Ziegler with a tweet. Why? Because, as you can see in the video below, Mackenzie Ziegler has allegedly been caught vaping. Abby Lee Miller is proving that she doesn't need occasional  prison visit  to be able to tell her former dance students exactly what she thinks of them. Some people may be unaware, but many of those who are incarcerated are allowed to access the internet during carefully limited, established periods of the day. However, someone else has been posting on Miller's behalf during her prison stay — innocuous little posts to keep her accounts active, as if the entire world didn't know that she's in prison. For that reason, it is unclear if the former  Dance Moms  villain — sorry, former  Dance Moms  instructor — is the one who personally tweeted this. And yes, it matters. In what seemed to be an attempt to tweet at Justice, the clothing store that markets heavily to tweens, Abby Lee Miller appears to be throwing shade at one of her former students. (She actually tweeted at a  fan  account for Justice … because even clothing stores have those) Her tweet asks a simple question: “Do you sell vapes now?” There's a joke in there somewhere about the prison stereotype of people in prison trading cigarettes for currency but … whatever. It was immediately clear to everyone who's been keeping up with  Dance Moms  gossip that Miller's interest in vapes was not personal. See, Mackenzie Ziegler has recently been 'caught” vaping. Not on Instagram — her public Instagram account is all smiles and staged photographs that look less like a 13-year-old's actual life and thoughts and more like what her family might hire a publicist to post. (Which is totally fine; Mackenzie is just a kid and does not need her every real thought and deed to be exposed to the world) However, though Mackenzie is only 13, she has been “caught” on video. Many fans believe that she has been vaping. Vaping, though not as harmful as cigarettes (and infinitely better-smelling … usually), still delivers a dose of nicotine and can be addictive. Mackenzie has responded to those claims by saying that she is using a Monq. That would be water vapor mixed with essential oils, and considered harmless. (Please note that essential oils are not necessarily harmless; both lavender and tee tree oil have been found to disrupt certain hormones and may be an environmental hazard around children) Some fans don't believe her, however, and say that the vapor looks too thick to simply be from water and oil. We certainly hope that she is making the best choices for herself. Mackenzie may be worth a couple million now, but that doesn't mean that her life couldn't spiral downwards if she makes the wrong choices in her teens. So it seems that Abby Lee Miller was throwing shade at Mackenzie, poking fun at her age and at the vaping rumors. Mackenzie isn't only young, but she's collaborated with Justice on dance-inspired activewear clothing lines. Honestly, the mis-tagged Twitter account aside (really, she should have phrased the tweet differently for maximum effect and visibility), it was a pretty good tweet.  This living terror has a pretty good sense of humor. Take a look at the video below and decide for yourself if you believe Mackenzie's claims that she isn't using traditional vape fluid.
