Some of our younger viewers may not remember a time when Fox was home to content deemed too edgy for the more mainstream networks. Of course, our definition of “edgy” has changed dramatically in the past couple decades, and Cops and early seasons of The Simpsons seem pretty tame by today’s standards. One show that routinely pushed the envelope in Fox’s underground days was the Ed O’Neil, Christina Applegate sitcom Married With Children . And now it appears that one of TV’s trashiest families may have ties to the medium’s most wholesome clans. There are few things that Duggar fans love more than exposing the family’s moral imperfections. (To be fair, the family invites this on themselves with their more sanctimonious and hypocritical tendencies.) And the amateur sleuths who keep the closest watch on the Duggars believe they have unearthed a minor scandal involving Josh Duggar’s long-suffering wife, Anna. It’s hard to believe, but Duggar obsessives say they have evidence that Anna Duggar appeared in an episode of Married With Children way back in 1992. Before she married into the Duggar clan, Anna’s last name was Keller, and the credits confirm that an actress by that name did in fast appear in the episode. The most obvious explanation is that the show featured an actress who happened to have the same name. But that doesn’t explain why Anna’s official IMDB page features her sole acting credit. Anna would’ve been just 4 years old at the time, and many fans have cited her age as evidence that it’s impossible for her to have appeared on Married . But as several others have pointed out in a Reddit discussion forum on the subject (yes, fans are taking this very seriously), Anna’s role was not a speaking part, and she may have appeared in a group shot with other children. Anna, of course, stayed with Josh Duggar after it was revealed that he molested five young girl s, four of whom were his sisters. And she stayed with him when it was revealed that he’d used an Ashley Madison account to try and hit on her. Needless to say, the Bundy-gate is hardly the biggest scandal that Anna’s been involved with. But it would be amusing to find out with certainty that she starred in a show about a miserable marriage decades before she crossed paths with Josh. Lifetime is coming out with Meghan & Harry: A Royal Romance . That's right, folks. Meghan Markle and Prince Harry's romance, portrayed on screen for your viewing consumption. They've released a short teaser trailer (which you can see below) and, despite its brevity, there is so much in it. And it looks surprisingly steamy . Our first big takeaway from the trailer is that the actress whom they selected to portray Meghan Markle has a surprising likeness to her. Parisa Fitz-Henley is a stunningly beautiful actress, and she could almost be MegMar's sister. The real Meghan seems to be plagued with opportunistic siblings who are more interested in making trouble for her by speaking to the media than they are in celebrating her happiness. While Murray Fraser, the actor portraying Prince Harry, is a handsome ginger man, he doesn't seem to almost trick viewers at certain angles in the same way that Fitz-Henley does. Looking at her in this trailer, you might swear that she's the real deal. (Part of that, admittedly, is the wig) Our second big takeaway from this trailer is that … it looks like it's very much a Lifetime film. Not to be mean, but a lot of what we see in the trailer looks less like the setting of a royal romance and more like … what people would like to imagine is the most romantic. So … the sorts of dates that you'd see on The Bachelor . That's a product of a few factors. One, this royal couple has always been fairly private about their romance. As private as you can be when the whole world is watching, anyway. A lot of their real-life dates have taken place behind closed doors. Producers had to make do with guesswork. Two, they're trying to tell a romantic story and cash in on fans of the real thing as well as on hate-watchers or those who will tune in ironically. Three, this is a Lifetime movie, and they're not going to break the bank on this, folks. Before you ask, no, Murray Fraser is not the actor who impersonated Prince Harry on I Can Marry “Harry” … which continues to be one of the most controversial reality shows of all time. That actor was Matthew Hicks, who had previously worked as a Prince Harry impersonator, which is one of the most niche jobs that one can possibly imagine. Murray Fraser is a real actor — in fact, he and Parisa had such a good time on the set of Meghan & Harry: A Royal Romance that they've been posting on social media about wanting to work on another project together. Not all actors who play love interests get along so well. In fact, a lot of actors find it awkward to interact with those with whom they've filmed bedroom scenes. We never thought that we'd say this, but Lifetime is really pushing the envelope, here. Bedroom scenes — including, as you'll see in the teaser, naked bedroom scenes — aren't unheard of, obviously. But portraying a royal couple in the nude and in bed together is going to ruffle some feathers. Not only is the British Royal Family an important symbol for the United Kingdom (well, at least, for the British), but they're treated reverently in certain ways beyond how one might treat a politician or mascot. Remember, there are still monarchists in this world (really) who believe that the European royal lines were divinely ordained. Not everyone is going to take kindly to seeing a royal couple portrayed like this: That said, some people don't like the real couple. Remember, Meghan Markle was targeted by a racist hate crime . A website linked to the terrorist group Daesh claims to have Meghan Markle's nudes and sexts and has threatened to release more unless the UK withdraws its troops from the Middle East. Which … is not going to happen for a lot of reasons. Mostly because Parliament does not actually set policy based upon the electronic activity of a future duchess. Who knew? (It's also not going to happen because the claims that they have video of her pleasuring herself with a pig's foot sounds … super fake, for various reasons) This May, you can tune in to Lifetime to watch someone's fanfiction of MegMar living out the dreams of a lot of girls who grew up in the '90s. Also this may, you can actually watch Meghan Markle and Prince Harry get married . That's on the 19th.
If you want to hear some elaborate, bizarre, kind of hilarious delusions, then Jenelle Evans is your girl. And, as we’re starting to learn, it looks like David Eason is your man. To refresh your memory on what’s going on with these people real quick, David got fired last month after going on an unhinged Twitter rant. He made lots of homophobic remarks , including likening gay and transgender people to dogs with fleas, and he made lots of intense pro-gun statements. Which, you know, was pretty alarming for a guy who’s been convicted of violent crimes and who apparently has an arsenal in his home. Oh, and he also told Chelsea Houska’s dad to “eat a bag of dicks,” so that wasn’t good either. So David got fired for that, and we know that because MTV released a statement about how “effective immediately, we are ending our relationship with him.” After that, it wasn’t clear what would happen with Jenelle. Several reports claimed that network executives were trying to figure out what to do with her, and there was a real chance she could lose her job. Earlier this week, another report stated that she’d be resuming filming soon , and that those new episodes would focus on her relationship with her mother, since David is still out. But both Jenelle and David gave a little interview to TMZ, and the way they tell it, that’s not the whole story. And before we get started, just know that you’re going to want to prepare yourself: their story is really, truly ridiculous. First, David was asked if he felt like he should apologize to the LGBT community, and this goof-ass actually answered with “I mean, I don’t even know what that means, so …” Yep, he’s trying to say that he’s so far removed from anyone that could possibly be gay that he doesn’t even know what “LGBT” means. OK, bud. “But for gay people or whatever, if that’s what that abbreviation means, I’m sorry.” The poor soul doing the interview confirmed that LGBT does mean “gay people or whatever,” and David said “Yeah, but see, I don’t even know. I don’t study that. It’s not in my life, it’s not in my family’s life to have to worry about something like that.” The ignorance actually hurts, doesn’t it? He explained that “if it become a problem, then we would focus on it then,” because obviously to him, having an LGBT family member would be “a problem.” Just … OK, David. OK. Next he was asked if he felt like MTV wronged him by firing him, and he said “MTV never fired me.” See what we mean about the delusions? “I don’t know who posted the thing on Twitter from the MTV account, but whoever runs MTV’s social media is not the boss man,” he said. “That’s not the person that makes the rules.” “They never called me and said I was fired,” he continued. “They never told me that I’m not getting my money. So they can do whatever they want, because it doesn’t really matter to me.” By the way, during this whole conversation, Jenelle is just standing there, and it really looks like she knows how embarrassing he’s being right now. Because of course he was fired. It was tweeted by someone on the social media team, obviously, but the statement came from higher up. Everyone knows that. He tried to say that they told him they didn’t want to film for the next three episodes, which, as we’ve heard, would be the last three episodes of the season. Meaning that he was fired immediately, not that they wanted him to take some kind of break. Interestingly though, when he was asked if he’d be filming next season, Jenelle said “if we have one,” which kind of sounds like she’s trying to say a new season of Teen Mom 2 is up in the air altogether? But she corrects herself, saying that they’d film “if we want to do it.” And hold on to your hats, friends, because here’s where it gets extra wild. Jenelle told TMZ that “The big issue with MTV right now that I’m having a hard time swallowing is … no offense, but they showed me shooting up heroin. They showed me smoking weed. They showed me almost ODing on a couch.” “But he gets fired.” Wait, so David just did that whole big thing about not being fired, then she decided to follow up with all the awful things she’s done on the show that she should have been fired for? And then confirmed that he was fired? Do these people even listen to themselves?! Apparently not, because David jumped right on that train with her, adding that “they showed Ryan driving on drugs and almost killing everybody , and he’s not fired.” So are you fired or not, David? According to a source who spoke with The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, he’s definitely fired. The source explained that he said he wasn’t fired because “he thinks he quit” because after being asked to apologize for his remarks, he refused. And so “by not agreeing to do what they wanted, he knew he was going to be off the show. So he believes HE made that choice, not MTV.” As for his statement about not filming the next three episodes, the source said that he’s “not really lying” there, because a new season hasn’t been confirmed yet. So officially, there are only three episodes left to film. The House of Representatives has lost one of its most its most courageous voices. New York Rep. Louise Slaughter has passed away at the age of 88. Slaughter had been hospitalized since being injured in a fall at her home last week. She was the oldest sitting member of Congress. News of Slaughter’s death was confirmed today by her chief of staff Liam Fitzsimmons. “To have met Louise Slaughter is to have known a force of nature,” Fitzsimmons said in a statement issued to several media outlets. Indeed, Slaughter was a true rarity in the House of Representatives – a stalwart ideologue and shrewd negotiator who was also beloved by her colleagues on both sides of the aisle. First elected to represent New York’s 25th congressional district in 1986, Slaughter played key roles in shaping several hstoric pieces of legislation. She co-authored the Violence Against Women Act in 1994, but she might be best remembered for her role in helping to build congressional support for Obamacase as Rules Committee chairwoman in 2010. Slaughter was a longtime ally of House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, who paid tribute to her late friend in a statement issued moments ago: “With her passing, the Congressional community has lost a beloved leader and a cherished friend,” Pelosi said. “Her strong example inspired countless young women to know their power, and seek their rightful place at the head of the decision-making table.” Speaker of the House Paul Ryan ordered the flags above the Capitol Building lowered to half mast in Slaughter’s honor: “She was unrelenting in fighting for her ideas and the people back home in Western New York,” Ryan said today. “But really, the thing that I keep coming back to is how she was tough, but unfailingly gracious. She was simply great.” In the hours since the congresswoman’s death, Slaughter’s name has become a trending topic on Twitter thanks to thousands of heartfelt tributes from colleagues and admirers from all over the political spectrum. As we just saw on Teen Mom OG, Farrah Abraham and MTV have severanced their relationship. Basically, she was told that if she wanted to continue filming the show, she'd have to stop doing her webcam shows — and it seems pretty clear now which career path she chose. It's been a while since all this actually happened — nearly five months — but Farrah still has some pretty strong feelings about what happened. And honestly, the girl does not seem well. 1. First Things First So let’s kick this off by talking about the actual scene, which began with executive producer Morgan J. Freeman sitting down with Farrah to “look at just sort of how people are treated.” 2. SO Compassionate Morgan started to tell her that having “compassion and understanding” while filming was important, but she cut him off with “I am so compassionate. I am so understanding. I am working my ass off, just like everyone.” And that last part may be true, but Farrah Abraham calling herself compassionate and understanding is really just so crazy. 3. Poor Kristen The big issue here seemed to be Farrah’s treatment of a specific producer, Kristen, who Farrah refused to work with. Morgan called her attitude “very challenging,” to the point where “the amount of work that goes into keeping you happy with crew has bubbled up to a point that we have to figure out if we move forward.” 4. “F–king Shoot Me” She basically told him to just figure it out, and he responded by telling her that for some reason, out of all the moms on all the shows, she was “the only one that’s a problem.” To that, compassionate and understanding Farrah said “I’m sorry. F-cking shoot me for being who I am.” 5. Difficult He said that what she was was difficult, and she actually denied that with a straight face, because obviously there’s no limit to her delusions. Hilariously, she added that she doesn’t “need anymore drama.” 6. The Next Issue But Farrah’s terrible attitude wasn’t the only problem — Morgan also said that “there’s been friction” concerning the “adult activities” she’d been promoting. The Teen Mom franchise has seen plenty of awful parents, but it’s possible that Adam Lind is the very worst of the bunch. Last we checked in on Chelsea Houska’s ex, a warrant had been issued for Lind’s arrest in response to various probation violations and a persistent refusal to pay child support. As far as we know, Adam is not in jail, but you wouldn’t know it based on his relationships with his children. Sources say Lind currently has no contact with either of his two daughters. Restrictions on his custody rights necessitate that Lind spend time with his daughters either at an approved visitation center or at his parents’ house. “One weekend a month, Aubree will be with his parents from Friday to Sunday,” a source close to the situation tells Radar Online. During Aubree’s time at his parents, Lind can come and go freely and spend as much time with his daughter as he wants. Apparently, he has not availed himself of the opportunity in over a month. He can also spend time with Aubree at a supervised visitation center, but he would need to set up an appointment through the court. And he reportedly has yet to do so even once. “Adam has not taken the initiative to set up a visit with her yet,” says the insider. The source says the situation is even worse with Paislee, Adam’s daughter with Taylor Halbur. He reportedly has not seen the 4-year-old “since August.” Fans chastised Lind for his absence at Aubree’s recent father-daughter dance, but the source says that situation is actually not Adam’s fault, as he’s not allowed to visit his daughters at their schools. “He’s only allowed to see her at the visitation center,” says the tipster. Fortunately, Chelsea’s husband, Cole De Boer, was able to attend the dance with Aubree. The warrant for his arrest is the latest in a long line of legal troubles that began when Lind tested positive for methamphetamines just before a scheduled visit with Paislee. It's been almost a month since David Eason was fired from Teen Mom 2 after launching a homophobic rant on Instagram. The vile incident was spurred by a photo of Jenelle Evans shooting a gun that Eason posted just hours after the Parkland, Florida school shooting. Fans implored him to take the photo down out of respect to the victims' families. Eason refused, and all hell broke loose. One would think that Jenelle would have learned a valuable lesson from her husband's firing, but weeks later, the Carolina Hurricane is still using her newfound love of firearms to troll fans: 1. The Offending Photo Eason posted this image as a Valentine’s Day tribute to his wife. Unfortunately, it appeared online just hours after the Parkland, Florida school shooting that claimed 17 lives. 2. Combative Dave Fans begged Dave to take the photo down, but he refused. And then he went on the offensive in truly disgusting fashion… 3. Your Bigotry Is Showing… David proceeded to hurl homophobic insults at the Twitter users who suggested he delete the post. For obvious reasons, this illicited an uproar from fans, as well as from several other stars of the Teen Mom franchise. MTV responded swiftly… 4. The Changing of the Easons David was fired by producers, and MTV released a statement informing viewers that he would no longer appear on any of its new programming. 5. Jenelle Tries to Make It Right Jenelle issued a public apology in which she lamely claimed that David “doesn’t understand Twitter” and can’t be homophobic because he once attended a party at which they were also gay people in attendance. Needless to say, no one was moved to sympathy for Eason. 6. Evans on the Offensive When her apology failed, Jenelle tried a different approach. We didn’t think it was possible… … but things have turned even uglier between Shannon Beador and David Beador. According to explosive legal documents, the estranged husband of this Real Housewives of Orange County cast member isn’t just sitting back and letting the reality star say mean things about him. David is fighting back. First, a refresher on the status of this formerly happy couple: Shannon announced in October that she was filing for divorce from her husband of 17 years, not even pretending at the time that the split was amicable. “It’s heartbreaking for me and my daughters that this is the road that had to be taken but it’s the only way,” the Bravo personality told the world at the time, adding: “I felt alone in my marriage. You can do what you can to keep your family together, but you have to have willing parties. “You need two people to make a marriage work, and that just wasn’t happening in our relationship.” This statement, and this divorce decision, came after Shannon revealed to Real Housewives viewers on Season 10 that David had been unfaithful. About six weeks after she confirmed her break-up, Shannon filed new legal documents that sought full legal custody of her three daughters and which aimed to ” take [David] for everything he’s got .” It was contentious then. And it’s only grown more contentious since, according to Radar Online. The celebrity gossip site has obtained paper submitted to Orange County Superior Court in which David demands fifty percent custody of 15-year old Sophie and 12-year old Twins Stella and Adeline. These papers were filed on March 9 and they also accuse Shannon of basically turning the kids against their father. Writes David in his documents: “Since separation, the children, on several occasions have refused to talk or see me. “This behavior has been tolerated in Shannon’s home and is not in the best interests of the children… “Shannon is not fostering or encouraging a healthy father child relationship.” From here, David accuses The Real Housewives of Orange County itself of providing Shannon with a dangerous lifestyle, specifically when it comes to alcohol. Reads his latest filing: “Shannon’s employment encourages excess drinking and extended travel to which Shannon has chosen not to inform me and make accommodations for the kids to stay with me while she is away.” This is a new and interesting one. We’ve never seen a Real Housewives cast member taken to task by a significant other over what she’s asked to do in order to keep her series entertaining. Then there’s the issue of her salary, which dwarfs what David takes home for his vocation. David alleges that Shannon earns up to $600,000 per year, although she previously stated she earned just over $400,000. This is the sort of thing that will come out once pay stubs and other documents are demanded in court. We can’t say for certain where things will go between Shannon and David, the latter of whom has a young girlfriend . But we can say the gloves haven’t just come off in this divorce. This week on Counting On, Kendra Caldwell headed to Kentucky to pick out her wedding dress in anticipation of her special day. She and her husband-to-be were also focused on other aspects of tying the knot, though … specifically what comes after that. We’re talking about temptation. Yes, the couple’s sexual desires were running ever so high as they geared up for their impending nuptials, but this is par for the course. In this family, patience is a virtue. Joe’s sister Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth, her husband, interestingly talked about getting through the challenges of waiting. It was this couple that allegedly engaged in massive amounts of courtship rule-breaking and didn’t delay physical intimacy until marriage. Of course, a lot of that speculation was just that – speculation. Talk of Joy-Anna having premarital sex made for great gossip, but that’s it. The birth of Joy and Austin’s son Gideon did nothing to disprove her consistent claim that the couple got pregnant on their honeymoon. In any case, Joe confessed to Austin that as he gets closer and closer to his wedding day, it’s impossible not to think about Kendra. He means in a sexual manner. “I spend the evenings with Kendra and then during the day I’m just working. It keeps me busy and not thinking about it,” Joe admitted. The 23-year-old Joseph later added that “Joy and Austin have been a great example for us as far as relationships.” “They say when you get closer to the wedding it’s always so much harder,” he said, and in his estimation, “it’s true.” For her part, Kendra chimed in: “You just start loving each other more and more and you just get excited about the wedding but I think having chaperones allows us not to fall.” Joe spoke about the “physical boundaries” he and Kendra set, and they are strict … think side hugs and not a whole lot else. “We’re not kissing before we get married, we’re just saving ourselves for each other,” he explained, and that’s not out of the ordinary. The Duggars’ upbringing basically forbids all types of contact pre-engagement and marriage, even unsupervised alone time. Of course, without a lot of practice beforehand, there’s going to be a learning curve of sorts after they do finally get married. Not that he’s not up for the challenge. Challenges and lessons don’t get much more entertaining than this one, and besides, his siblings seem to have figured it out.
