Game of Thrones: 19 Lingering Questions from That Finale

Game of Thrones may have sky-rocketed to global popularity due in part to its penchant for blood, gore, sex, violence and suspense. But the biggest surprise of the Game of Thrones finale may have been how the writers tossed all these aspects of the series aside and instead focused on… … a lot of very boring talking. That was our main takeaway from a pretty awful final episode. We explained why we believed this to be the case HERE , but now we're back with a different take on Season 8 Episode 6. We're here to ask a handful of questions about what we just witnessed, from character motivations to confusing plot points and everything in between… 1. That’s All It Took to Kill Cersei and Jaime? A single layer of bricks? Sort of seems like they could have recovered from that sort of blow — or moved a few feet to the left and have avoided the entire avalanche! 2. What Happened After Jon Killed Dany? Just literally: What happened? Drogon (more on him momentarily) flew away with Dany’s corpse… so did Jon confess to the Unsullied? Did they find him crying over what he had just done? Did he run out and confess? How the heck did the show decide NOT to include this very practical and necessary detail? 3. And Then What Happened? Greyworm almost killed Jon for touching his arm and trying to stop him from killing Cersei’s soldiers early in the episode. In what universe do the Unsullied not kill Jon the nanosecond they learn he’s murdered their queen? 4. Instead, They… … contact the Lords and Ladies of Westeros and ask them to pay King’s Landing a visit after they decide to simply imprison Jon for his Queen killing?!?!? 5. Did Drogon think the Pointy Chair killed His Mom? Or Was He Keenly Aware of the Dangers of a Monarchy and Just Really Adept at Identifying Physical Symbolism? Gotta be one or the other, right? 6. Why the Eff Did Anyone Listen to Tyrion? The guy just spent the past several months strongly advocating to Dany; to such an extent that he basically sentenced his best friend to death because Varys disagreed. And now everyone is just totally on board with his Bran-for-King recommendation? Could Tyrion possibly just be a bad judge of character? View Slideshow

Artie Lange: Arrested For Drug Court Violation After 100 Days of Sobriety

Sad news out of the comedy world today, as Radar Online is reporting that troubled comic Artie Lange is headed back to jail following an unspecified probation violation. The news comes just two days after Lange tweeted an encouraging update about his sobriety. “Lange is non-compliant,” said a spokesperson for the Essex County Sheriff’s Office in New Jersey. “Consequently, he will be taken into custody by officers from the Essex County Sheriff’s Office,” the official added. “He will be returned to the Essex County Correctional Facility in Newark.” The representative added that reports of Lange’s progress and commitment to sobriety have been exaggerated, saying: “All the stories gave the impression he was doing great, but that is not the case.” Those positive progress reports included a tweet on Friday that showed Lange, smiling and holding Howard Stern’s latest memoir while working at a New Jersey gas station. “Pumping gas and reading Howard Sterns new book, which is great by the way,” a rep for Lange tweeted on the comic’s behalf. “I read in 2004 Trump interview with me there. I’m reading about the POTUS when a guy yells at me ‘yo fill it with regular’ lol, my crazy life!” Lange was a co-host on Stern’s satellite radio show for several years before being let go as a result of his substance abuse issues. During his press tour for the book, Stern confessed that he felt guilty for firing Lange at a time when his friend was most in need of support. “I get sad talking about Artie. He was a tremendous contributor. But we had to move on,” Stern told The New York Times . “I got my fingers crossed for the guy. And it wasn’t a clean break.” Clearly, Stern joins Lange’s many thousands of loyal fans and comedy colleagues in hoping for the best for Artie — and being continually disappointed by developments like today’s. Lange has been arrested numerous times over the course of the past three years, and on each occasion, his brushes with the law seemed to serve as needed wake up calls. Artie was most recently released from jail  in February, and he immediately headed to an in-patient rehab clinic. He was unable to use social media during his time in treatment, but with the help of friends and representatives, he was able to post encouraging messages about his commitment to recovery. The 51-year-old comic had reportedly accumulated 111 days of sobriety before his latest violation. Our thoughts go out to Lange and his loved ones during this difficult time. Jenelle Evans and David Eason Take Gun to Court, Get Told Off by Judge

Jenelle Evans life has been worse than a soap opera this month. Mostly because soap operas tend to stick with cheating lovers and family feuds the occasional poisoning. We haven't heard of a daytime drama featuring a brutal dog murder followed by four emergency custody cases. And that's what's happening for Jenelle these days. But even in these dark, dark times, it seems that she and David Eason are still acting like fools. Shocker, right? 1. The Beginning You know how this all started, but for continuity’s sake, let’s recap: a few weeks ago, David Eason beat and killed Jenelle’s tiny little French bulldog, Nugget, because it nipped at Ensley. You know, like untrained dogs being harassed by children will do. 2. A Genuine Monster Ensley was obviously home at the time, as was Kaiser and Maryssa, David’s stepdaughter, and they were reportedly traumatized by the incident, which is definitely understandable. 3. Gross Although Jenelle made a big deal about leaving to stay with a friend for a few days, and although she sold some stories about how she was considering divorce, she was back home with him before the week was over. 4. Justice, Please? Thankfully police weren’t so quick to forget what happened — they opened an investigation into David, and they quickly decided to take action to protect the kids. 5. Kaiser, Check A detective advised CPS to remove Jenelle and David’s children from their custody, and so last week, they called Nathan and had him pick Kaiser up from preschool. 6. Jace, Check Jenelle doesn’t have custody of Jace, so all CPS had to do there was let Barbara know that he shouldn’t go for a visit. View Slideshow

Jen Harley: Arrested! Again! WTH Happened Now?!?

Jen Harley is once again making headlines for all the wrong reasons. The mother of Ronnie Ortiz-Magro's cute daughter and the on-again/off-again/sometimes violent girlfriend of this Jersey Shore star was arrested early Thursday morning at her home in Las Vegas. This should not come as stunning news to anyone who has been following Harley and/or her relationship with Ronnie. The only real surprise here is that Harley didn't do anything new to allegedly break the law. So, why was she taken into custody? And what did Ronnie have to say about it? Scroll down for the latest developments… 1. These Two Crazy Kids, Huh? And we do mean CRAZY. Ronnie and Jen welcomed a daughter named Ariana in April of 2018. They seemed pretty happy together at the time. 2. But Just a Few Weeks Later? Wow. They engaged in one of the ugliest social media fights we’ve ever seen. Really. We’re not exaggerating here. 3. How Bad Could It Have Been? Jen offered followers some advice, for starters, telling folls not to try and turn a coke head into a responsible father. 4. Derick Dillard Defends Himself AGAIN: I’m NOT a Negligent Husband!

Sometimes, even terrible people make good points. Take, for example, Derick Dillard’s latest efforts to defend himself and his troubled marriage. Sure, Derick may have cheated on Jill . And it’s true that Jill quit Counting On as a gesture of solidarity after Derick got fired, thus leaving her family of four with no source of income. And yes, she’s generally subservient to him in every way, which is always an uncomfortable arrangement to behold. But when Derick defended himself against accusations that he’s a terrible husband this week, he actually made some decent arguments on his own behalf. It all started when Derick posted the above photo on his Instagram page. “Loved spending some quality time with my oldest son, who accompanied me as I wrapped up some stuff on campus today 🙂 #futurelawho,” he captioned the photo. Derick is in law school , which is a wildly time-consuming endeavor, and it’s nice that he’s found a way to combine his studies with his duties as a father. The only problem is that that post went up on Mother’s Day, and nowhere else on his social media did Derick make any mention of Jill of the holiday. Not surprisingly, fans were quick to call Derick out on this oversight. “Why don’t you post a Happy mothers day post for your wife? I mean she carried YOUR CHILDREN in her body for 9 months, and had to have a C-section(which is a major surgery) for the both of them,” wrote one follower. “Selfish and ungrateful of a husband much?” the Mother’s Day enthusiast continued. Like the rest of the Duggar clan, Derick usually ignores online trash talk. But apparently, this time it was more than he was willing to put up with. “When I post something, people say ‘why don’t you tell her yourself instead of posting about it’ and when you don’t post people say ‘you’re ungrateful’… can’t please everyone,” Dillard responded. Like we said, as much as we hate to admit it, the man has a point here. It’s a conundrum that basically every social media user is confronted with from time to time, as though there’s some specific set of laws about what should be shared and what shoud remain private. Would it have been nice if Derick had given his devoted wife a Mother’s Day shout-out? Of course, but it’s also perfectly okay if the Dillards decided to mark the occasion privately. We don’t relish having to defend Derick freakin’ Dillard, so if you’re gonna trash-talk the guy going forward, please focus on one of his many glaring character flaws so that we can join in, too. Khloe Kardashian: Being Nice to Tristan SUCKS But I Do It for True!

Despite wild accusations that she’s neglecting True by relying upon nannies, Khloe Kardashian’s whole world revolves around her daughter. And sometimes, that means calmly coparenting with her cheating baby daddy, Tristan Thompson. But Khloe admits that it’s not easy playing nice with a scoundrel. In fact, she admits that it “f–king sucks.” Khloe Kardashian spoke on Laura Wasser’s Divorce Sucks! podcast  “I do everything in my power to not even bring…” Khloe says, trailing off. it seems clear that she was going to talk about putting True in the middle of her parents’ drama. “True is 1 and like a month old,” Khloe acknowledges. “So she doesn’t really know what’s happening.” “But to me she does know,” she claims. “And she feels energy and I’m a big believer of that.” Khloe’s claim may sound like a bit much, but we think that we understand her meaning. “So,” she explains. “I do everything in my power to not put any sort of heavy energy around her.” “Maybe that sounds a little too like bohemian to some people,” Khloe admits. Not necessarily. Describing it as “energy” may make it sound like a spiritual belief or even just goofy. But at 13 months, True could certainly pick up on tension in her parents’ voices, body language, and interactions. That’s part of growing up. Khloe then explains exactly why she invited Tristan to attend True’s first birthday. “I didn’t do it because I thought she was going to remember this first party,” Khloe clarifies. Most people don’t remember their first birthday party, or even have the context to understand it at the moment. “It was really for me,” Khloe admits. “I just wanted a happy, heavenly place,” she expresses. But Khloe does say that she thinks that True will ultimately be happy that Tristan was at the party. Khloe reasons: “I know that she’s gonna wanna look back at all of her childhood memories like we all do.” “Se and my sisters,” she points out. “We will sit on the floor looking at our old photo albums.” This is a great reminder that, even thought he Kardashians aren’t especially old — Kourtney is the eldest, and she’s forty! … But just a few elements of the Kardashian lifestyle sounds like it comes from people decades older. We get it. It’s a bunch of siblings in a closely knit family. Their lives are not like ours. But even though she’d like to paint a glossy picture of her coparenting life, she says that things with Tristan are still rough. “It does f–king suck,” Khloe confesses. She affirms “It does.” “And,” Khloe adds. “There’s moments that because our personal emotions are still in there and for me, you know.” That wasn’t a super cohesive line, but we all understand her meaning. Khloe still has pangs of difficult, negative emotions over all of the Tristan drama. “Tristan and I broke up not too long ago,” Khloe states. “So,” she explains. “It’s really raw.” Notably, it has been rumored and even strongly implied that Khloe and Tristan had already broken up before he visited an uninvited kiss upon Jordyn Woods. But “not too long ago” is deeply subjective. It sounds like Khloe is being vague on purpose. “And so,” Khloe concludes. “Those emotions could be heightened at times.” We can only imagine so. The Duggars: Are They Really Hated In Their Own Hometown?

The Duggar family has been at the heart of countless controversies over the course of their many years in the public eye. Of course, they've always maintained the position that only God can judge them, but considering how many times the word “neighbor” comes up in the Bible, well … Jim Bob and company might want to spare some concern for the folks who live near them and what they have to say. If you follow the family closely, you're probably aware the Duggars and their neighbors don't always get along. In fact, Jim Bob has been derided as a greedy, status-seeking, wannabe tyrant. But is that a fair assessment, or is the family-man-turned-media-mogul being judged too harshly? Take a look at the evidence and decide for yourself: 1. The Power Couple Jim Bob and Michelle may have started their relationship under humble circumstances, but 19 kids, millions of dollars, and one semi-failed political career later, it’s clear that they always had big aspirations. 2. More Than a Media Mogul Jim Bob is many things: a former state senator, a father of 19, and the overseer of a burgeoning media empire — but he still aspires to more. 3. Aspiring Land Baron Jim Bob’s tendency to buy up large tracts of land for commercial use has frequently caused him to clash with his neighbors. 4. The Family Business Jim Bob and several of his children are involved in the business of flipping cars and properties. 5. Bucking Tradition Though working women are rarely seen in the evangelical world the Duggars inhabit, Jim Bob has permitted some of his daughters, including Jana, to take part in these ventures, which should serve as an indication of how serious he is about this aspect of his empire. 6. A Conservative Crowd Obviously, both real estate development and selling used cars require large tracts of land.
