Ashley Massaro, Former WWE Diva and Survivor Contestant, Dies at 39

Ashley Massaro, a former WWE Superstar who also competed on a season of Survivor, died early Thursday morning. She was 39 years old. The aforementioned professional organization confirmed this sad piece of news in a Tweet that reads as follows: We are saddened to learn of the tragic death of former WWE Superstar Ashley Massaro. WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends. She performed in WWE from 2005-2008 and was beloved by her fellow Superstars and fans around the world. WWE offers its condolences to Ashley’s family and friends. According to TMZ, Massaro was transported from her home in Suffolk County, New York to a local hospital several hours ago — but few other details are available at this time. The officials who spoke to this celebrity gossip website would not reveal the cause of death, but told TMZ that it’s being classified as “non-criminal. Massaro famously won the WWE’s 2005 Raw Diva Search, earning herself a contract with the company at the time for one year at a $250,000 salary. She went on to become a valet for WWE tag team champions Paul London and Brian Kendrick. She also competed against Melina at Wrestlemania in 2007 and, later that same year, Massaro appeared on the cover of Playboy, an honor that was announced on an episode of Smackdown. Along with starring as a contestant on Survivor: China in 2007, Massaro had small roles on Smallville and Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. The Blast, meanwhile, has obtained dispatch audio of a call placed to paramedics in which they are told of unconscious female at 5:23 a.m. today. These paramedics proceeded to administer CPR on the way to the hospital. Massaro cut ties with WWE in 2008, although she returned for a stint with a lesser known pro wrestling company in 2017. She leaves behind one daughter. “This is just awful news,” wrote WWE legend Mick Foley upon learning of the news, adding on Twitter: “Ashley Massaro is gone. She was only 39. She lived in the same town as me…I loved seeing her around. She was always so nice…and now she’s gone. #RIPAshleyMassaro.” Added a wrestler named Bull James: This sucks. Ashley just started training at NYWC & was SO excited about wrestling again. Always had a smile on her face & was one of the most down to Earth people you could meet. Selena Gomez: Social Media is POISON for My Generation!

Selena Gomez has a massive social media following, even if she only uploads photos occassionally, usually for special events . Social media has been very good to her, but she is the first to admit that her experience is not universal. In fact, Selena says that social media can be intensely toxic to the young people who use it the most. Selena Gomez spoke at the Cannes Film Festival, where she is promoting her new film, The Dead Don’t Die . She admits that she is “scared” of social media’s effects on the youngest internet denizens. “They’re not aware of the news or anything going on,” Selena said in the press conference. “It’s selfish — I don’t wanna say selfish because it feels rude,” she quickly corrected. “But it’s dangerous for sure.” While social media can help others connect with friends and others with whom they have a lot in common, it can hurt self esteem and enable bullying. “I think our world is going through a lot, obviously,” Selena added. “But for my generation, specifically,” she continued. “Social media has been terrible.” Millennials who were already adults or near-adults when Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram launched may feel differently. Selena lamented that it is now “impossible” to guarantee that any social media is 100% safe for all users. She noted that she tries to remain conscious of the younger members of her audience whenever she posts. Selena explained that she always seeks to avoid putting pressure on teens and tweens with her photos and text posts. Keep in mind that Selena, one of the most followed people on the planet, is not biting the hand that feeds her. “I’m very grateful I have the platform in any way,” Selena clarified. “I can still share things I’m passionate about,” she affirmed. “I don’t do a lot of pointless pictures,” Selena noted. She is referring to how many influencers share almost excessive photos to create more Content(TM) for Engagement(TM). “I like to be intentional with it,” she explained. “I see these young girls,” Selena described. “I’ll meet them,” she continued. “And they’re just devastated dealing with bullying and not being able to have their own voice.” In-person cruelty when you’re young is bad enough. It shouldn’t follow you when you’re on your own home, using social media. “It can be great in moments,” Selena acknowledged. “But,” she said. “I would just be careful and allow yourself some time limits when you should use it and when not.” Selena has spoken on this important topic before. “It is not that healthy to be on [social media] all the time,” she observed. Some people aren’t impacted by bullying online, of course. Others use social media for work. But in general, we all need a break from time to time. “I noticed with me,” Selena cited. “I got kind of depressed looking at these people who look beautiful and amazing.” Selena, girl, you look beautiful and amazing! “And it would just get me down a lot,” Selena admitted. “Taking breaks is really important,” she affirmed. “Just know that most of it isn’t real,” Selena advised her youngest fans of what they see on social media. “And I hate to say that, I don’t mean to be rude,” Selena politely added. “But it’s very unrealistic in a lot of ways.” That’s true. Paola Mayfield Praised in Glowing Birthday Tribute by Russ

90 Day Fiance fans absolutely love Paola Mayfield, which is why they feel so disappointed when she’s wrong . But that’s pretty rare. Tuesday was Pao’s 31st birthday, and her husband, Russ, posted an amazing tribute to her to mark the occassion. Paola made a post of her own in a sweet and selfless post that had fans falling over themselves with admiration. On Tuesday, Russ Mayfield took to Instagram to sing his wife’s praises. “A super happy birthday to my wife!” Russ begins. “As crazy and complicated our life gets,” he writes. “I wouldn’t trade what we have para nada!” That means for anything . “It’s an amazing feeling having you by my side,” Russ gushes. “And,” he praises. “It’s your love that gets me through the good time and the bad.” Russ shared this lovely family photo. “I have all I have ever needed in life,” Russ announces. Russ explained that he feels so content “because I have you and your love.” ‘Te amo con todo mi corazón,” Russ concludes. That last bit means I love you with all of my heart . Paola shared a photo of her own, featuring her and baby Axel. “Happy birthday to me!” Paola proclaims. “Mi vida,” she writes, addressing her infant son. “You have been the best gift to me.” She calls Axel my life because he is the center of her world. “You are the best gift I have ever wanted,” Paola raves. She continues to extoll her baby’s virtues. “You are my happiness,” Pao affirms. “And,” she confesses, her four-month-old son is “what my heart always desired!” “I love you,” Pao concludes. “My little boy!” That is such a nice tribute — especially considering that Paola chose to make her birthday all about her precious son. Cynically speaking, you could say that Paola found a selfless way to remind her fans that it’s her birthday. Not everyone who follows her also follows Russ. We mean zero offense to Russ, who’s a good-looking guy, when we say that his fitness model wife posts more thirst traps than he does. When you’re a fitness model, one who’s been featured in Maxim contests and who often posts bikini pics, being hot is part of the job. And though Pao just gave birth a few months ago and has had her body altered forever by her pregnancy, she is still incredibly gorgeous. Notably, she at one point lamented on Twitter that her 32nd birthday was also unpleasant. “F–king worst birthday,” she wrote without explanation. Fan condolences poured in, but Pao did not offer up any explanation. Instead, she simply wrote “it doesn’t matter.” Perhaps she found happiness by focusing on the positives in her life — like Axel. Axel is Russ and Pao’s first child who came in with the New Year. He is also their rainbow baby. Last year, they revealed that they had suffered a heartbreaking miscarriage. Fans were overjoyed when they announced last summer that they were expecting. As we have seen on 90 Day Fiance: Happily Ever After? this season, they were nervous that something might go wrong. Russ and Pao have also been grappling with major life decisions, including working out where they should live. For a long time, they have clashed over whether to live in Miami, where Paola can get work, and in Oklahoma, where Russ is close to his family. Kate Middleton & Prince William Finally Meet Baby Archie!

After nine days in the world, little Archie Harrison got to meet his aunt and uncle — at last!  Kate Middleton and Prince William dropped on over to Frogmore Cottage on Tuesday to officially meet their nephew.  But as for Princess Charlotte, Prince George and Prince Louis — well, they still have to wait to meet their new baby cousin.   Prince Harry’s brother and sister-in-law were introduced to baby Archie today during a private visit , a palace rep confirmed to People . Earlier in the day, however, Kate, Harry, and William had royal engagements to tend to.  Kate was busy visiting a secret WWII spy base in Bletchley Park, while William spoke at the first United for Wildlife meeting. The couple, who recently celebrated their eight-year wedding anniversary , definitely had a day full of activities — but we are sure their favorite part was meeting Archie. Prince Harry also had an emotional day as he spent the morning visiting the Oxford Children’s Hospital.  Even though royal obligations did not pause for the new dad, Archie was obviously still a big topic of conversation. “He said he’s getting used to the baby and how Archie has fitted into family life,” Ida Scullard, whose son is battling cancer, told the press of their meeting.  “He said he just feels part of the family and he can’t imagine life without his son.” Meghan and Harry, who are about to celebrate their first wedding anniversary in a few days, welcomed their first child last Monday.  “This little thing is absolutely to die for, so I’m just over the moon,” the first-time dad told the press.  Meghan Markle opened up about motherhood as the couple introduced their adorable baby to the world.  (Yes, technically we met Archie before Aunt Kate and Uncle William, NBD.)  “It’s magic. It’s pretty amazing,” Meghan said. “I mean I have the two best guys in the world, so I’m really happy.”  Going into further detail about the new royal baby , the Duchess of Sussex added, “He has the sweetest temperament.”  “He’s really calm… and he’s just been a dream, so it’s been a special couple days.”  Prior to meeting Kate and Prince William, Archie, who is seventh in line to the throne, met his great-grandparents Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip.  Meghan’s mom Doria Ragland was also included in the sweet family moment, which was documented in a historic royal photo.  Now that most of the family introductions have been made, we hope George, Charlotte, and Louis get to meet Archie soon!  According to a royal source, they are “dying” to meet the little guy.  “Prince George and Princess Charlotte have already been asking their parents when they can meet their new cousin, they are as excited as anybody,” says one insider. Wendy Williams: I Am Banging So Many Men Right Now!

As you very likely know by now, Wendy Williams is single. And in case you were somehow unsure, the talk show host made it very clear this morning: She is SO very ready to mingle! Actually, to be more specific, to hear Williams herself tell it…. she’s already way past mingling. She’s seemingly moved on to, well, you can go ahead and use your X-Rated imagination. Explaining to viewers on Tuesday how she’s “reclaiming her life” in the wake of her divorce from Kevin Hunter , Williams didn’t sound a woman scorned or lonely these days. Far from it, in fact. “I go out a lot because I am a good time girl. I like to have fun,” Williams said to raucous studio audience applause. “I am right now a young and pretty New York City girl.” Well, she’s 54. But you’re only as young as you feel, right? After many years of putting up with Hunter allegedly cheating on her, Williams finally had enough last month. She filed to legally break-up with Hunter after his mistress gave birth to the couple’s child and Williams sadly relapsed in response; multiple outlets reported that Wendy was rushed to the hospital on the same day Hunter welcomed a baby with Sharina Hudson. It’s all been enough to turn even Wendy’s most stridents critics sympathetic to her romantic plight. But Williams doesn’t want our sympathy. She just wants us all to know she’s still getting some, thank you very much! The star noted on air today that she has “the ultimate bachelorette pad high atop everything” with a “really, really good view” — and it sounds like she’s putting it to good, scorching hot use. “I don’t have a boyfriend, but I must admit I am rediscovering my love of men,” Williams told her viewers with a smile, adding: “I do date and I date pretty often… the parade of men will continue because I need things lifted, put in position. I’m still unpacking boxes for God’s sakes. “That’s all I’m saying.” She may be saying more if one chooses to read between the lines. But we’ll leave that to our loyal readers. Williams has talked in broad or vague terms about her divorce in the several weeks since it was made official. However, she grew rather personal and clearly bitter just a couple days ago, addressing women who cheat with married men and telling them they would burn in Hell . If it sounds like Williams is therefore struggling in light of her spllit, she wants you to think again. “I am working on my divorce pleasantly right now,” she said very simply today, talking directly about the break-up for one of the first times and continuing: “It’s hard to say ‘give privacy’ because I don’t give privacy when I’m doing the rest of the stories, so you do what you want – you always do.” Hunter and Williams got married in 1997 and have a son named Kevin together. Her estranged husband also worked as a producer on Wendy’s talk show ever since it premiered, mixing business with pleasure in an unhealthy manner. But no longer. Hannah Brown Admits to Sex in Shocking Bachelorette Preview

Hannah Brown rose to reality television fame by dating the country's most well-known virgin. She was a contestant on Colton Underwood's conservative season of The Bachelor. In this new extended promo for her very own season of The Bachelorette, however, Hannah goes out of her way to make something very clear: She ain't no virgin! “I believe that sex was made for a man and a woman in marriage, but I am having physical relationships and honestly, I have had sex and Jesus still loves me,” Brown says in the most memorable quote from this trailer, adding of one of her suitors: “How dare I be judged by a man?” Hannah made it evident on The Bachelorette premiere that she was a strong and independent woman, kicking an aspiring husband out of the house early on because he admitted to having a quasi girlfriend waiting for him back home. She wasn't about to stand for that. And she isn't going to stand for any sissies, either, apparently. “I want a tough man. Someone I know can grab a hold of me and be like, ‘That's my woman! Roar baby!'” Brown says in the trailer released on Monday night by ABC. Still, this doesn't mean Brown herself can always put on a tough exterior. She breaks down multiple times in this sneak peek. “I'm obviously struggling. This is my life and I can't control when things are going to hit me,” Hannah cries at one point, adding through years at another: “I'm a normal human being just trying to be The Bachelorette. And I don't know what to do. And I'm scared.” Elsewhere, it's pretty clear Cam is being set up as this season's villain (you need to hear the saying this loser has come up with for himself), while Peter may end up as The One. “I truly can see a life with you. My heart right now is, like, just filled with happiness,” he tells Hannah in the footage. Among other sound bites worth pointing out on the season ahead: If you're not here for your wife, get the f-ck out of here. My trust has been completely broken. I've been nothing but truthful and DON'T YOU EVER FORGET IT! You are a psychopath. I don't owe you anything at this point. Do you not understand that? Jenelle Evans has been having a tough few weeks. What an understatement, right? Her husband murdered her dog, she lost her Teen Mom 2 gig, and now we've learned that CPS has taken Kaiser and is possibly in the process of taking Ensley. It's bad. And honestly, it looks like it's only going to get worse. 1. What a Time Yeah, so Jenelle’s whole entire life has basically fallen apart in just the past few weeks. 2. Pretty Wild Which is especially impressive when you consider that it was never even that great to begin with. 3. Then vs. Now This time last month, she was floating along with her douchebag swamp monster of a husband, David Eason. She had her MTV job, full custody of Kaiser and Ensley and visitation with Jace. Life was OK. 4. Ugh Then David beat and killed her French bulldog puppy, Nugget. And after that, everything pretty much went all to hell. 5. Nice Try She sold some statements about how she was considering divorcing David for what he’d done, but just a few days later she was back home, pretending like everything was normal. 6. Ariana Grande: Sued For Stealing an Instagram Photo!

These days, with everyone & everything being seen on the internet — you really gotta watch what you’re sharing to the world.   But you all know that.  Ariana Grande should also know that — though it seems she recently slipped up because she is now being sued after sharing images of herself to Instagram … that technically didn’t belong to her?  That’s right — the “Sweetener” singer is in some legal hot water after posting images to her social media page.  Something that she does almost daily. And while 3 million of the pop star’s fans showed the photo lots of love, her legal team wasn’t too impressed.  In court documents obtainted by E! News, a paparazzi photographer Robert Barbera is suing the singer claiming copyright infringement.  According to Robert, Ari publicized photographs on her Instagram page that he captured without licensing.  In addition, the New York based photog claims that she didn’t have his “permission or consent to publish the photographs.”  He is now looking for monetary relief, naturally, from the copyright infringement, attorney fees and costs, falsifying copyright management, statutory damages up to $25,000 for each violation.  In the photos, the Grammy winner is carying a see-through bag with the word “Sweetener” on it as she was exiting a building.  Two of the photos were shared to Grande’s official IG account back in August of 2018, the day her fourth studio album “Sweeterner” was released.  “Happy sweetener day,” she wrote in the caption.  The original post has since been deleted, though an edited version currently remains on her account promoting her merch.  E! has reached out to Ari’s team for comments, but has yet to hear back.  As fans of the “thank u, next singer” are well aware — she is often times very good at communcating with her followers via her social media accounts.  Whether she is opening up about a recent brain scan , or just posing for selfies, the 25-year-old is all about keeping her 154 million followers up-to-date on her life. For the most part, that is.  We will just have to stand by to see if she is willing to open up about her (totally underdanstandable) photo fail with her fellow Arianators. Grande, however, is not the first celeb to be scolded for posting a paparazzi photo to their social media pages.  In January, model Gigi Hadid found herself embroiled in a lawsuit (again!) with a photo agency after posting a picture they had taken of her to her 44 million Insta followers.  Kim Kardashian West, Jennifer Lopez, 50 Cent, and Jessica Simposn have also been targeted by agencies for re-using photos.  Of themselves. Paparazzi members have been suffering (obviously) as the rise of social media has changed the way we look at the rich and famous. Many celebs use the platform to take control of their own images and open up personally with their fans, devaluing the tabloid images. Besides, when did these entertainers give these agencies permission or consent to snap photos of them walking to their car or entering a building?  It seems quite ironic and a tad unfair, but at the end of the day as long as the photos of the public figures are taken in a public place, it is totally legal.  The paparazzi built an industry around capturing candid photos of Hollywood’s biggest stars, but now that’s going away.  So it seems they’re turning to an additional source of revenue — suing those stars for posting their pics to Instagram. James Charles Responds to Tati Westbrook: I’m Sister Sorry!

If you don't find joy in keeping up with YouTube gossip … well, sorry. But the drama that's been going on between James Charles and Tati Westbrook is what a whole, whole lot of people are talking about, and so here we are. So, OK, James and Tati are both beauty gurus on YouTube, right? Tati has been in the game for years, and James has been around for a fraction of that time, but he's had unbelievable success. And it turns out that he has Tati to thank for that. The drama started when James shared an ad for SugarBearHair vitamins after he claimed they helped him out with security at Coachella, and Tati reacted very negatively to that. She was upset because she has her own line of vitamins, Halo Beauty, and since she and James have been so close for so long, for him to promote her main competitor was a bit of a betrayal. She literally cried about the situation in her Instagram story, and a lot of people thought she was being dramatic. Not so much. Yesterday, she released a 43-minute video titled “BYE SISTER …” in which she pretty much destroyed him, but in a nice way. In the video, she revealed that she mentored James at the very beginning of his career, and that she and her husband helped him get million-dollar deals when no one was taking him seriously. She considered him to be family, and they were so close that she had him do her makeup at her wedding. As time went on, certain things about him began to bother her, and she realized that his ego was getting out of control. She also had a big problem with the way he treats potential romantic partners. That's a whole different story, but just to get a taste of it, Tati recalled how he went out to dinner with her and her family and friends for her birthday, and he said very explicit things about what he wanted to do to their waiter. When she told him he was straight, James said “It doesn't matter, I'm a celebrity.” Tati said that she tried to help James time and time again and steer him in the right direction, but he would never listen, and when he promoted a rival company, that was pretty much the straw that broke the camel's back. And after learning just how much she and her husband helped him, it's definitely understandable that she no longer wants to be involved with him. The thing is that Tati is pretty revered in the beauty community, and she's very trustworthy, so it was easy to believe everything that she said. And James started hemorrhaging subscribers — as of now, he's lost well over a million. So what else was there for him to do but an apology video? You can watch the full video at the end of this post, but the gist of it is that he's really, really sorry. After losing so many subscribers, why wouldn't he be? He says that most of his career so far “has been about me making mistakes and trying to learn and grow from them, and I haven't always done the best job with that.” He's sad that he ruined a relationship that was so important to him, “and throughout all of this what sucks the most is that there's nothing I can say or do to ever earn that friendship or trust back.” Oh, and about all that creepy, manipulative stuff about getting with guys? He essentially says that he just wishes he never talked about it at all on social media, and that Tati did warn him he'd get into trouble over boys on day. So he's not sorry for his behavior, only sorry that he's getting called out for it. He finishes the video by admitting that “A lot of times when I've tried to address things in the past I've acted out of impulse and I've gone off and tried to pull receipts or facts or screenshots and played the victim, and I'm not doing that today.” It's just not a great apology video. It's not as bad as Laura Lee's apology from last year , but it's still not good. After everything we've seen from him, it's hard to believe he's sincere here, and if you take one look at the comments on the video, it's clear that everyone else agrees. Is this the end of James Charles? Probably not. But still, it's certainly a bad look. Check out his full apology here:
