Last month, Mackenzie Standifer welcomed her second child, a boy named Jagger Ryan Edwards. Sadly, the boy's father and namesake (Ryan Edwards, not Mick Jagger) was unable to be there for his son's birth. Edwards is in rehab being treated for a severe addiction to heroin. It looks as though he'll remain there for quite some time, and though the treatment might literally save his life, it seems Mackenzie is NOT happy about it. Take a look: 1. Troubled From the Start We would begin by discussing a simpler time in Ryan and Mackenzie’s relationship — but really, these two have had issues since day one. 2. Wedding Woes Ryan famously passed out while driving to his wedding with Mackenzie. Shortly thereafter, he checked into rehab for the first time. 3. The Relapse He left treatment ahead of schedule and relapsed within weeks. That’s when the real downward spiral began. 4. Fighting the Law and Losing Ryan was arrested three times in less than 18 months for possession charges and probation violations. 5. Bottoming Out On one recent occasion, Ryan spent nearly a full week behind bars. Shortly thereafter, he checked into rehab again. 6. It's been nine months since David Eason got fired from Teen Mom 2 , but it seems he's still obsessed with his former gig. Part of the reason, of course, is that David is still unemployed and thus has nothing else to keep him occupied. But Eason's fixation with the show also seems to have roots in his anger at producers. For months now, he's been ranting on social media about how unfair it was that he was axed from the show. And it now it looks as though his anger might be creating an unsafe situation for TM2's crew. The Incident It all started, of course, with the revelation that David had assaulted Jenelle during a fight on the couple’s property. 3. In the aftermath of Shannon Beador flipping out and then apologizing to her fellow Housewives, the show needs some levity. In this The Real Housewives of Orange County sneak peek, Shannon and Vicki have both undergone surgery. When they come to, however, their experiences are very different. One of them is deeply hilarious. “In a perfect world, would I like to have my partner waiting for me when I get out of surgery?” Shannon asks. She asks if she would love to have such a partner “putting his arm around me, saying ‘I’m going to take care of you and everything’s going to be OK?’” She answers her own questions: “Absolutely.” Obviously, anyone wants emotional support, especially when they're just coming out of surgery. Since Shannon is currently single, however, she doesn't have that. Fortunately, Shannon knows how to keep things in perspective. “But you know what?” Shannon asks rhetorically. “I have a driver,” Shannon says. “And Sophie and the kids are waiting for me when I get home.” That's more than a lot of people have. Shannon concludes: “And that’s all I can ask for.” It's always good to focus on the positives in your life, rather than simply on what you don't have. We promised that there would be some levity in this clip, and there absolutely is. Vicki Gunvalson also went into the hospital to have some face-fillers removed. Her boyfriend, Steve Lodge, arrived to show her moral support — you know, the kind that Shannon would have liked. Vicki was still a little loopy, however, and immediately asks Steve some awkward questions. “Do you love me?” Vicki asks. “Am I pretty?” It sounds like Shannon might be better off. People aren't always at their best when they're under the influence. Vicki then tells Steve that she has “no panties on right now.” Earlier this year, Vicki explained why she intended to have her face fillers removed. “I had a lot of fillers in my face and I didn’t feel like it was me anymore,” Vicki said. “I had too many doctors, too many different times say ‘let’s do this, let’s do that, let’s fill here, let’s do Voluma, let’s do Sculptra,’” Vicki continues. You know, on the very first episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County that I ever saw, she was having a botox party. It seems that she's changed her tune. “And,” Vicki says. “By the time I was done I looked in the mirror and was like COMMA ‘I don’t even look like myself.’” Apparently, part of that has been Steve's supportive influence. “I said to him the other day, ‘My boobies are a little bit lower. I want them higher up here,’” Vicki shares. Vicki says that Steve didn't agree: “He goes, ‘You promised me you wouldn’t do anything else,’” “No,” Vicki decides. “For right now I’m at peace.” Good for her! It's always easy to poke fun at women who undergo multiple cosmetic procedures on their faces and breasts. Of course, it starts to get considerably less funny once you think about the powerful social forces that demand that women look a certain way. These cultural pressures are compounded for women who are on television, for older women, and for women who are trying to date. Some would say that Vicki and Shannon almost had no choice but to go under the knife a time or two if they wanted to remain on television. That is a grim thought.
As we reported earlier today, Demi Lovato is out of rehab , and she’s not allowing her sobriety to interfere with her social life. It looks as though Demi already has a new boyfriend, and while it’s nice to see her smile after such a difficult year, there may be cause for concern. Typically, those who are new to recovery are discouraged from embarking on new romantic relationships. But Demi’s new companion reportedly checks two boxes, as he’s both a source of emotional support and an expert on sobriety. His name is Henry Levy, and he’s a clothing designer who’s been to rehab several times, having first sought treatment when he was 15 years old. Now, that may sound like a recipe for disaster at first, as Demi’s latest relapse is so recent that she probably shouldn’t involve herself with another addict at the moment. But those who know Henry best say he’s been sober for over a year and may actually be a good influence on Demi His latest stint in rehab–where he reportedly re-connected with Demi–was apparently just a tune-up. Although it can’t be that long since Levy’s last relapse, as here he is pouring himself a glass of whiskey in 2016. Sources close to the situation say Henry and Demi have been friends for years, but their romance is a recent development. Though not exactly a household name, Levy is no slouch in the fashion world, and his clothing has been worn by Sophie Turner, Kanye West, Sophia Richie and, of course, Demi. So Henry’s successful in his own right … but that doesn’t mean he’s stable. As head of Enfants Riches Deprimes (which translates to “rich depressed children”) Henry has stirred up a good deal of controversy over the years. “If I wasn’t Jewish I would kill myself. Because I wouldn’t be rich,” Levy wrote on Facebook last year, much to the chagrin of customers and employees. In the Complex magazine interview that accompanied the whiskey photo, Levy said that one of his primary artistic motivations is the rage he feels toward his parents for sending him to rehab. Asked by the interviewer at that time if he was sober, Levy answered simply, “No.” Now, close friendships and romantic relationships are common among rehab patients, but experts generally caution against them for a number of reasons. Every addict and every recovery is different, but fans are already troubled by the fact that Demi left rehab months ahead of schedule. The fact that the new man in her life is relatively newly sober himself is likely to be greeted with even greater concern. After all, the stakes couldn’t be higher. Demi’s overdose in July nearly claimed her life. With the help of family, friends, fans, and an army of specialists, Demi recently celebrated 90 days of sobriety . Despite the theories spun by Teen Mom fans, Tyler Batlierra is not leaving Catelynn Lowell . They have another baby on the way! They gave up their first child for adoption. In this new Teen Mom OG sneak peek, Tyler and Catelynn grapple with the bittersweet occassion that is their firstborn's birthday. “It's been almost a year since we've seen our daughter, Carly,” Catelynn says in a voiceover. “But today is her birthday,” Catelynn narrates. “It's usually a hard day for us, so we always try to celebrate it in a positive way.” There are a couple of awkward moments as they eat their salads before they speak on the phone to Dawn, their adoption counselor. They talk about Nova and her ability to understand that it's Carly's birthday. Nova, of course, is only three years old, so immediately asked when the party would be, and if they would have cake and ice cream. Dawn suggests that they send a Nova video to Carly, and Tyler says that it's already in the works. The conversation, which had so far been lighthearted, turns more serious. Dawn praises Catelynn and Tyler, telling them how proud she is of how they're taking this milestone in stride. Adoption can be a difficult process for everyone involved, even though no one questions that they made the right decision. And the two of them have really made great progress in handling the situation with a healthy perspective. As Tyler admits when Dawn comes over to speak to them in person, he and Catelynn weren't always so chill about it. “I think some of our old expectations were unrealistic,” Tyler admits. “Like, [we] signed our rights off,” he says, referring to signing away their parental rights nine years ago. “A couple of years ago,” Tyler confesses. “I was on the other side.” By which he means that he felt entitled to parental rights that he does not possess. Tyler gives an example: “I was like, ‘You wouldn’t be parents if it weren’t for me.’” “It’s acceptance of what role I really play in this child’s life and this family’s life,” Tyler says of his current perspective. Dawn, their adoption counselor, knows that Carly's birthday is a big deal. She walks them through how they might speak to Carly's parents. “If I can advise you in any way,” Dawn says. “I would say a soft landing would be a good thing.” Dawn suggests: “Maybe starting a conversation with, ‘What’s Carly doing today? How are things going with her at school?’” “You love to brag about Nova,” Dawn notes. “She’s gonna love to brag about Carly.” Dawn concludes: “I think that’s gonna be an easier entry into a conversation.” Tyler and Catelynn then speak about the various traumas that they have experienced. While most of Catelynn's PTSD arises from her childhood, as is most often the case, it's not the only source. The adoption that she and Tyler went through as teens was another trauma in her life. That is very understandable. Being conscious of that can be tremendously helpful. Catelynn's miscarriage, she says, was a trigger for a lot of that trauma to resurface in her mind. Catelynn and Tyler have demonstrated more personal and emotional growth than a lot of their co-stars. We're not going to pretend that either of them are perfect. If they didn't have flaws, they wouldn't work as reality stars. But they've really worked hard on themselves and on their relationship. That deserves some recognition.
So hey, how about last night’s episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, huh? Or, if you didn’t catch it, how about Tristan Thompson and his gross, inconsiderate ways? Yep, last night was the big night. Keeping Up with the Kardashians finally got to the part where everyone discovered that Tristan had cheated on Khloe . It was honestly kind of intense, even though everything happened several months ago and we know how it all turned out. Kourtney called Tristan’s actions “disgusting,” and Kendall said that he was an “idiot.” Keeping Up with the Kardashians Clip: The (Tristan) Truth Comes Out! Meanwhile, Khloe herself took the news pretty well, especially considering that she was just days away from giving birth. As she explained it, she didn’t want to really think about it all or make a big decision about whether or not she’d stay with him. “I just want to go and give birth and try to enjoy this,” she said. She also said that she still wanted him to be in the delivery room with her, and that she didn’t want any of her family members to “make him uncomfortable and make me uncomfortable.” But even though that was her stance, and even though she’s still with him , that doesn’t mean things are fine. She made that perfectly clear in a series of tweets she shared last night. To kick things off, she wrote that “Tonight’s episode is an uncomfortable and super emotional one for me.” “But when we signed up for this show over a decade ago, we signed up for a reality show, which meant showing you guys inside our lives, the good, the bad and the ugly.” Poor Khloe then admitted that “to relive these moments all over again is incredibly difficult,” but that “I also hope that with every trial, tribulation and curve ball life throws at us, that we ALL get to learn from our journeys.” “Amidst the tough times,” she added, “I have been blessed with the ultimate gift, my sweet baby True who has changed my life in ways I never could have imagined.” And for a bit of advice, she told her followers to “remember that you are never alone in your pain, and that everything is temporary.” “Pain, joy, elation, panic, anxiety, it is all temporary. Be grateful for the experiences that continue to build character, and make you who you are.” So it’s clear that the whole mess with Tristan affected her very deeply , right? After all of that, a follower told her that no one would be mad if she just skipped the episode altogether. “I will see how much I can handle,” she replied. “This goes for tonight AND next week.” So there’s more heartbreak next week … ugh. Later, Khloe tweeted about how much she loves doing the show and how she’s “proud that we are all strong and brave enough to be vulnerable.” “BUT we have to start airing shows closer to real time,” she complained. “This episode is about 7 months old and it’s a lot to relive all over again. But maybe I need to.” She discussed some other things from the episode too, but of course she could never get too far from all the drama. At one point, she wrote “Oh my God my heart is racing! So crazy how emotions never die! You may forgive but forgetting is not possible.” You hear that, Tristan? Then, to wrap up her discussion on the episode, she took some time to explain exactly why she didn’t react too strongly to the news of Tristan’s unfaithfulness. Spoiler: it was all for True. “I wanted to have a beautiful birthing experience for myself and for the memories of what I choose to share with True when she’s older,” she said. “I want her to have videos and pictures of her daddy there, holding her etc. I want her to know she is LOVE and my happiness!” “Babies feel energy!” she continued. “I know this! I chose to put my feelings aside for the birth and to try and have as much positive energy that I could.” “My only thought was about the birth of my daughter. I wasn’t going to let ANYONE disrupt anything less than what she deserved. Joyous love.” She wrote that she chose to be strong for her baby, especially since “I waited for this day for so many years!” Looking back on everything now, Khloe realized that she was “in shock because I couldn’t believe that this would ever happen to me.” However, she’s still proud of herself for being so strong and doing what she felt was best for her daughter. “True gave me the peace and strength I needed,” she concluded. It’s so sweet that she felt so strongly about having a positive birth for True, isn’t it? It’s also so sad that she had to make that decision because Tristan couldn’t keep himself from stepping out on his pregnant girlfriend. But let’s try to focus on the very few positive points of this awful story. The very, very few positive points. Blac Chyna tried to warn us, people. She actually gave us a heads-up on multiple occasions. But nobody could take seriously someone who willingly had sex with Rob Kardashian, so here we are now, slack-jawked and aghast over Chyna releasing her very first single. The track dropped on Monday, November 5 and it features Chyna rapping alongside such industry heavyweights as Yo Gotti and Jeremih. It also features Chyna rapping about her most private of body parts. “F-k you thought/Thinking you ‘bout to hop out the whip then hop up in this p-ssy /Talk that talk/ But when it’s time to pop a band you hop up and you shook,” the model says at one point, adding: “These broke n-ggas don’t deserve p-ssy.” It's unclear whether she is referencing Kardashian here or not. Late last year, however, an insider said the following to Us Weekly of Chyna's plans: “She’s in the studio hard at work, recording every day. Big name artists, producers and song writers.” And Chyna herself said something similar in a chat with the magazine XXL, making it clear that she was taking this whole music thing very seriously. “When I do drop my music, I just don’t want it to be like, ‘Okay, Chyna’s taking this for granted, she’s not serious about this,”’ she said. “I want people to know that I am serious about this and I want to show my progression and my growth and what not.” Progression and growth are not typically words associated with Blac Chyna. But Chyna asked in this same interview for folks to keep an “open eye, an open heart and an open ear.” That's fair, we guess. As long as Chyna isn't getting back together with Kardashian , we're fine with pretty much anything she wants to do. Also, dare we say it, but… this song isn't terrible! Collin Gosselin has been spotted, folks. We repeat: COLLIN GOSSELIN HAS BEEN SPOTTED! The 14-year old member of this once-famous and always-controversial family had not been included in Gosselin family photos or gatherings in quite awhile. To be honest, we’re not even sure the last time we saw Collin with either his mother or his father. The son of ex-spouses and TLC co-stars Jon and Kate has been enrolled in a program away from home for children with special needs. To their credit, probably, neither Jon nor Kate ever really got into detail about what was troubling Collin or exactly where he has been spending all his time. But while it was admirable that the parents respected their son’s privacy, this same privacy led to a million questions about Collin around the Internet. Especially when he was absent from his very own birthday party last year. But Jon Gosselin, who really does seem like he’s trying to rebuild his relationships with his children, surprised Instagram followers on Sunday by sharing a picture of himself, daughter Hannah and, yes, Collin. The image featured all three loved ones outside of Jon’s residence in Reading, Pennsylvania and the simple caption read as follows: “Had a good weekend visit with Collin at home!” As you can see above, Collin looked happy and healthy as he donned a cute red message tee shirt that referenced his home town and read: “Just a kid from Reading.” Jon, of course, shares Collin and Hannah – as well as remaining sextuplets Leah, Alexis, Joel and Aaden – with ex-wife Kate Gosselin. The pair are also the parents of 18-year-old twins Mady and Cara and they divorced very acrimoniously in 2009 after a decade of marriage. To this day, Jon and Kate continue to spar in public, most recently over the status of Hannah. She has been spending an unusual amount of time with her father over the past several weeks, leading many to believe Jon actually has custody of this daughter. That’s largely because Jon himself as said as much: Jon Gosselin: Hannah Lives with Me Now! She’s FREE FROM KATE!! But Kate says Jon is a liar and that all the kids still reside with her. There is reportedly a drawn-out and ugly battle going on in regard to Hannah and which parent has the primary responsibility for her well-being. Way back in 2016, the DJ (yes, Jon now works as a DJ) expressed frustration about his relationship with Collin, telling Us Weekly: “I don’t know what’s going on. The whole point is I’m left in the dark. There’s no explanation. It’s disheartening/ “I don’t ever see Collin, ever. Not off the bus because he doesn’t go to school. Not at the gate because he doesn’t come down. Nothing. I am totally estranged from Collin because of Kate.” Yikes. That must have sucked. Sources told Radar Online in the past that Collin was living in a “preadolescent unit” at a facility about two hours from the Gosselin family house in Pennsylvania. It remains unclear just what is going on with Collin, but he’s 14 years old and we shouldn’t really be digging into whatever difficulties he may be going through. We just wish his parents were on the same page about it. The Walking Dead said goodbye to an original star on Sunday night. And no, we’re not talking about one of the recurring players here. We’re talking about the character who kickstarted the franchise on the series premiere, Rick Grimes! If you watch The Walking Dead online , you know that Rick was injured at the close of last week’s episode after trying to lure two herds of walkers away from his comrades. With Rick going in and out of consciousness, he met a lot of his fallen friends, and one of them was Shane aka the man who got jiggy with Rick’s wife, Lori while he was in a coma. It was a surprising scene because it took Rick all the way back to his days as a police officer, patrolling the streets of Atlanta with his BFF. It didn’t last long, however, and Rick found himself back in the present and a walker about to kill him. He managed to fight it and escaped with his horse. Yes, it may seem like Rick is invincible, but he has been fighting these zombies for several years, so it makes sense … kind of. Another ghost from the past Rick met was Hershel who told Rick it was okay for him to let go, and that Maggie was growing as a leader every single day. All of these visions seemed to want Rick to know that he could die and everyone would be able to move on if they had to. The most striking vision was Rick on a huge landscape filled with bodies, but the bodies were of everyone Rick’s ever been close to. It was harrowing for sure, but there was a beacon of hope in the form of the dearly departed Sasha. “’Cause you did your part like I did mine… like the others did before us,” she said. “They gave us the strength that we needed to do what we had to do for the others, and the others draw strength from us. We make each other better, and it never ends.” “It crosses over toward the brave and loving.” With that, Rick woke back up and was saved by Michonne and his friends, but he was not out of the woods. As he prepared to die, his girlfriend had some words for him. It’s not over,” she said. “We don’t die.” That’s when we learned that Rick was still unconscious and he imagined the reunion. He continued to try and take the zombies away from his friends. Rick found dynamite on the bridge with the walkers who were about to make their way to the other communities, so he blew the bridge up. Everyone was stunned by the loss of Rick, noting that he died a hero. However, he was well and truly alive down the river. Anne appeared and claimed she was going to save Rick from this horrible world. “It’s not a trick, not anymore. I’m trying to save a friend who saved me,” she claimed to the people on the walkie-talkie. “I have something for you now. We have a deal?” Rick and Anne were picked up by the chopper and taken well and truly away from the danger zone. What the eff just happened? As if that big twist was not bad enough, we were thrown straight into the future to meet a much older Judith who was leading the charge on a rescue mission. Khloe Kardashian clearly had very bad luck in getting impregnated by a man who then cheated on her a bunch of times. But E! then had some rather terrific fortune in having its cameras on hand and rolling when various family members found out about Tristan Thompson sucking a whole lot. What are the odds, right?!? In the clip featured here from this Sunday's new episode of Keeping Up with the Kardashians, we see Kim, Kylie, Kendall, Kourtney and Scott Disick all discover that Thompson has been stepping out on his pregnant girlfriend. “Stop!” Disick exclaims early on to Kendall as they ride in a car together and the latter looks at her phone in shock. “Bro, that’s pretty serious, isn’t it? Is it for sure, for sure?” Kim, meanwhile, just happens to be filming a confessional when she finds out this awful news, remaining calm at first while sifting through her phone. “Yikes,” she says to producers. “There’s video of Tristan making out with a girl last night. … Khloé’s gonna die.” As for Kourtney? “I mean, I can’t even imagine being in Khloé’s shoes. Just how, like, reckless it all seems,” she says, adding: “This is really shocking and obviously heartbreaking. The whole thing makes me disgusted.” Same here, Kourt. Same here. We also learn something for the first time in this video. We learn who actually tells Khloe, who is so very close to giving birth, just what has been going on with her dishonest boyfriend. It ends up being Kylie. She explains why: “No one had the courage to tell Khloe ‘cause we knew she was days away from giving birth. We didn’t want to stress her out, but we knew that it was the right thing to do. S”o I’m the one that told Khloe. “I didn’t want to hurt her feelings, but I felt like she should hear it from one of us versus on the Internet.” Ready to relive this scandal?
