While there’s never been any sort of public confirmation, it’s common knowledge Katie Holmes and Jamie Foxx have been dating for at least the past two years. The relationship has been a subject of intense tabloid interest, and there was even a time when it was rumored that Holmes was pregnant with Foxx’s baby . Throughout all of this, both parties have kept mum on the subject of their semi-public romance — and now it seems we may know why that is. Sources close to the couple say Foxx refuses to fully commit to Holmes. Apparently, she would be happy to confirm that they’re dating, but he refuses to be tied down. One insider says Holmes is “humiliated” by Foxx’s reluctance to acknowledge their relationship, but claims she can’t bring herself to break up with him. “No one understands why Katie loves a man who can’t seem to commit or why he’s publicly humiliating her like this,” the source told Us Weekly . “Everyone just wants her to take care of herself and to be happy. But she won’t let go of Jamie.” The insider adds that in recent weeks, Foxx has made no secret of his dalliances with other women, thus exacerbating Holmes’ embarrassment. Is Jenelle Evans the worst mother on all of Teen Mom? Could be, yeah. She definitely has some competition in a franchise that also includes the likes of Amber Portwood and Farrah Abraham, but she’s the only one who’s been investigated by CPS this month , so … Anyway, the point is that Jenelle is just not all that great at parenting, and she’s proved that many, many times over the years. Remember when she had Jace and told her friends that having a baby was like being in jail, and then she said that she thought it’d be OK if she went out and partied all night because her newborn would be sleeping anyway? Or when she signed over custody of Jace to her mom so she could smoke weed with Kieffer and get arrested a ton? That kind of stuff happened eight years ago, but there are plenty of examples from this year to choose from as well. For instance, all those child abuse allegations against Jenelle’s husband, David Eason. Look, we could spend days going over all the horrible, awful things Jenelle has done as a parent — literal days, probably — but let’s just get down to business and talk about this new thing, all right? Because this new thing Jenelle’s doing to fail at parenthood is illegal and also potentially life-threatening. See, last year, before the swamp started eating her house , Jenelle decided to get a pool. She’s shared a lot of pictures of it since then, and it does look pretty fun. The kids seem to enjoy it, which is nice, considering everything else that allegedly goes on out there. But there is an issue: she’s never put a fence around the pool. Her social media followers have been hounding her about this oversight ever since the pool came to be, so much that she’s actually commented on it. All the way in September, she tweeted that “of course” she’d put a fence around it, with “a pull lock like at public pools.” She added that “To get your permit approved for your pool you have to get a fence, also to protect wildlife.” And yet here we are, nearly a year later, and does the pool have a fence? You know good and well it does not. This issue has been getting more attention lately, probably because Jenelle’s been posting more photos and videos featuring the pool now that it’s summertime. Like this one, where you can clearly see that there’s no fence: On that photo, she received comments like “Y’all need a fence around the pool b4 a child drowns idiots” and “I would rather fence in my pool than bury my child but I guess that’s bc I’m logical.” One person advised her to “Put a safety fence up around that pool or just like that an accident with those children can happen in Another pointed out that “She doesn’t even know the first thing about carseat safety, why would she care about her kids drowning?” Believe it or not, while Jenelle has tons and tons of haters , she also has some fans, and those people tried to defend her by saying she does have a fence around the yard — you can see it in the background. It’s true, the fence is obviously there, but it fences in the entire backyard, so the kids can still go outside and directly to the pool. And according to North Carolina state law, that’s simply not good enough. Radar Online reached out to someone from the North Carolina building codes department, and that person confirmed that, legally speaking, you have to block off your pool. According to the law, any kind of outdoor pool is required to have a barrier that meets certain standards. There are lots of specific measurements that barrier must have — it has to be a certain height and in a certain position, that kind of thing. But since Jenelle doesn’t have any barrier at all around her pool, that means she’s breaking the law. Will anything come from this? Probably not. After all, Jenelle’s done heroin, abused animals, and stolen her mother’s credit cards all on national television, and she’s never even been in jail. Yes, Bieber and Baldwin have confirmed their engagement , which means the Summer of Wealthy Early-Twentysomethings Getting Engaged to People They’ve Only Been Dating For a Few Months is in full swing. And it’s just as annoying as it sounds. Naturally, fans have been wondering what Justin’s most famous ex, Selena Gomez, thinks of all this. We’ve heard rumors that Selena is pissed about the engagement , which would certainly make sense. Then again, there also been reports that Gomez is glad to be rid of Bieber for good and actually feels bad for Baldwin. As is so often the case with this sort of thing, it seems that the truth is less interesting than the rumors. According to People magazine — probably the most reliable outlet to report on Selena’s reaction — the singer simply couldn’t care less about the state of Justin’s love life. “They haven’t spoken in months,” a source tells the publication. “She hasn’t been talking about him since they ended things again earlier this year.” Obviously, no one will know for sure what Selena makes of the situation unless she decides to speak out on the matter herself. But this take sounds about right. By most accounts, Selena wasn’t too broken up following her latest split with Justin, and she finally realized they just weren’t right for each other. After the sixth or seventh breakup, you probably stop thinking of the other person as your one and only. Besides, Selena’s career is going better than ever these days, and sources close to the singer says she’s the happiest she’s ever been. She may have experienced a pang of sadness upon realizing the ex she dated longer than anyone else is getting married. But we’re guessing it didn’t last long. Not long after the world learned that Jinger Duggar is pregnant , the beloved reality star revealed her due date to be sometime in early July. Now, we suppose different folks have different definitions, but for most people, that would mean any date between July 1 and July 15. What we’re saying is, if it’s not already passed, Jinger’s due date is very, very close. And it seems that even though birthing and child-rearing have pretty much been parts of her day-to-day life since childhood, Jinger is currently experiencing the heady mix of emotions that every first time goes through in the final stages of pregnancy. Speaking with TLC recently, Jinger revealed that she’s more than a little frightened by the prospect of giving birth. “I get scared thinking about birth and labor,” she told her home network. Her husband, Jeremy Vuolo, didn’t offer much in the way of help, admitting that he’s flat-out clueless about the entire process: “I don’t know much about birth,” he said. Like we said, Jinger must know a thing or two about birth, what with having 13 younger siblings and 10 nieces and nephews. But in many ways, she and Jeremy are in uncharted territory. From the very start, they established that their marriage would be different from those of Jinger’s sisters. The most obvious act of rebellion, of course, was Jinger’s decision to begin wearing pants instead of floor-length dresses (with her husband’s permission of course). But the couple also set themselves apart in more subtle ways. Jinger waited a full year after her wedding to get pregnant. Obviously, there’s nothing unusual about that in most cases, but Duggar women typically get pregnant on their honeymoons. And soon, Jinger will become the first Duggar woman of her generation to give birth outside of the great state of Arkansas. Again, that may not seem like a big deal, but the Duggars are second only to the Waltons as Arkansas’ most famous family, and their ties to their hometown are very strong. Anyway, it’s refreshing to see Jinger being so candid about her trepidation — we suppose that’s just one more way in which she’s breaking the mold. Tragedy has once again struck the world of reality television. Aaron Armstrong, the boyfriend of late Love Island cast member Sophie Gradon, was found dead this week at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth. According to the BBC, Armstrong passed away on Tuesday, mere hours after sharing an emotional social media post about Gradon. “just wish I could cuddle you all day miss you so much,” read Armstrong’s caption to the following Instagram image. “Sophie not a minute goes by with out your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing I need them days back. “I love you princess.” Based on this message, and based on no third party being involved, per a Northumbria Police spokesperson, many believe that Armstrong took his own life. No cause of death has been confirmed, however. It’s important to note that suicide is a mere speculation right now. After Gradon’s funeral five days ago, Armstrong posted a picture of the order of service with a caption that read: “I love you with all my heart my beautiful angel I’m absolutely heartbroken I can’t stop crying.” Gradon, 32, a former Miss Great Britain, was found dead at her family house on June 20. She was well known in Great Britain for her 2016 appearance on Love Island, a program that features several single people dropped onto an island and tasked with finding love. Many associated with the series reacted to this stunning and sad news as follows: Similarly, in regard to Armstrong, former Love Island star Katie Salmon penned a tribute on Twitter: “Aaron. I hope you have reunited with your love sophie. And I truly hope you fly high together. Thinking of his family and friends.” And Rykard Jenkins added: “So sad to now hear about Aaron’s passing. May you both rest in paradise.” The day after Sophie died, meanwhile, Armstrong posted the following selfie on Facebook and wrote along with it: “I will never forget that smile I love you so so much baby your my world forever ever and always.” On July 3, he shared his final Facebook post. Former The Real Housewives of Orange County star Alexis Bellino is getting divorced from her husband of 13 years, Jim. Wednesday was the Fourth of July, and while Alexis wore her most patriotic bikini to celebrate the United States’ independence from Great Britain. And she made it clear that she was celebrating her own independence , as well. In the captions of this photo of her showing off her incredible body in this American flag bikini, Alexis is not subtle with her double-meaning. Alexis writes: “Happy INDEPENDENCE Day friends!” Yes, she wrote independence in all caps. Like we said … this is not subtle. In case anyone managed to miss it, however, she included some tags. She wrote “#independent” followed by “#woman,” and then “#letfreedomring.” Dressed in a little more … well, clothing, Alexis also posed in a photo with her three children. Her son James is wearing blue and white — a nice understated way to celebrate the Fourth of July. Her twin daughters, Melania and Mackenna, are wearing American flag dresses. Alexis herself is wearing a white dress in this photo. While white is certainly one of the colors on the U.S. flag, some of her followers joked that she was “wearing the wrong flag.” A white flag, of course, is a symbol of surrender. Not the message that she intends to send during her divorce. Of course, when Alexis and Jim Bellino confirmed their divorce , the two made it very clear that they do not intend for this divorce to become contentious. “It is with heavy hearts that we inform the public of our mutual decision to end our marriage,” their joint statement began. They acknowledged that they are divorcing, “but it’s important to us that you know we made this choice together, with love, and as the best decision for our children’s future.” “We hold one another in the highest regards as spouses, and especially as parents,” they announced. “We have agreed on 50/50 custody of the children, and we ask that you respect our privacy by not theorizing about the reasons for our divorce.” “In recent days and weeks,” they explained. “There has been a lot of negative discussion about our marriage and why it is ending.” “Outside of the news of our decision to part ways, there is nothing provocative, alluring, or sordid about the dissolution of our marriage,” Jim and Alexis insisted. “Quite to the contrary,” they said. “We strongly support each other just as we have since the beginning of our relationship.” Should fans take Alexis’ declaration of independence as a sign that things are a little less amicable now? “Our marriage was a good one, but we were never perfect people or spouses,” they said. “No one is, and in this respect, we were a lot like millions of other married people.” They continued: “And, just like millions of other married people, we simply grew apart over time — there is no ill will or bad blood between us.” “And maybe,” their statement continued. “That’s why absurd rumors about our marriage and future together began when we filed for divorce.” “We ultimately want you to feel happy for us,” Alexis and Jim said. They asked fans to “respect our privacy during this difficult time, and pray for our mutual benefit as we weather this storm.” “To the fans who have supported us since the beginning,” they continued. “We’re grateful for how you cheers us on,” they told fans. “We ask that you continue to cheer as our lives and the lives of our children change and ultimately improve as a result of this difficult decision.” So … we should probably assume that Alexis is not trying to “start something” with Jim.
