Stop the presses and put an end to the speculation: Joy-Anna Duggar and Austin Forsyth are married. It’s finally true! And oh so exciting! For the past several days, fans of this reality star have been wondering whether or not she and her long-time acquaintance had tied the knot. There was chatter just a few days ago that Joy-Anna Duggar married Austin Forsyth last weekend in their native Arkansas. A top Duggar social media source, the Facebook page “Duggar Family News: Life Is Not all Pickles & Hairspray, fueled this speculation. Some sources reported that their wedding had, indeed, taken place, although we later learned this not the case after all. Now, however, we can state with certainty that the 19-year-old Joy and the 23-year-old Austin are wife and husband. Because they’ve confirmed it themselves! “We feel so happy and so excited,” the couple told People Magazine after getting married on Friday in a church full of family members and loved ones. The publication has even included a photo of Joy-Anna in her wedding dress for its exclusive article regarding the nuptials. Adds the bride of her big day and her new husband: “Leading up, it was so surreal until I was walking down the aisle and then I was like, ‘Oh my goodness, it’s actually here.’ “We are going to be traveling for our Honeymoon for awhile.” The young star got engaged just a few months after announcing their courtship on the special episode of Counting On: Jinger’s Wedding in November. This is typical protocol for members of the family, of course. Due to the very strict Duggar dating rules , they are barely allowed to do more than whisper in one another’s ears while dating. Heck, you can’t even hold hands until you’re engaged. Therefore, it makes sense they’d want to get married as soon as possible once they find someone they like a whole lot. In Joy-Anna and Austin’s case, the two were family friends for 15 years before entering into a courtship last fall. “It’s really special that I got to grow up with him and my family knows him really well,” Joy-Anna said of Austin back in February. Speaking on their shared history and relationship, the teenager acknowledged at the time that she’s relatively young to be engaged. At the same time, she’s witnessed successful relationships across the board when it comes to her gigantic family. “Watching my sisters go through that with their courtships sets a really good example,” she told People, adding: “I was able to ask them just a lot of questions and wisdom about what they did and didn’t do and then just making it special.” “Showing him how much I appreciate him, it’s been amazing.” Joy-Anna and Austin, meanwhile, recorded a video for TLC so soon after their nuptials that the former is still in her gown. Jared Martin, a veteran actor likely best known for his role as Steven “Dusty” Farlow on the beloved series Dallas , died on Wednesday night from pancreatic cancer. He was 75 years old. Martin’s son, Christian, has confirmed the sad news via Twitter and also to The Hollywood Reporter, telling the publication that his father passed away at home in Philadelphia. Farlow was a rodeo cowboy who seduced main character on the aforementioned drama, He actually perished in a plane crash… only to have producers resurrect his character by popular demand shortly afterward. As for the actor himself? Martin was born in Manhattan and attended Columbia University where he roomed future filmmaker Brian De Palma, who cast his pal in his 1968 film Murder à la Mod. “I played a mad photographer-murderer who liked to lick the blood off his victims’ bodies,” Martin told People Magazine way back in 1981, adding: “Brian used Hershey syrup for blood and paid me $35.” Martin’s impressive resume also included starring roles on two sci-fi TV shows: 1977’s The Fantastic Journey at NBC and a 1988-1990 adaptation of War of the Worlds, which aired in syndication. He signed on for just three episodes of Dallas Season 3 in 1979 as Dusty. But he became such a fan favorite that producers had no choice but to keep him around for longer than initially planned. “They brought Dusty Farlow on to make goo-goo eyes at Sue Ellen [Linda Gray], become moderately involved with her, tempt her and then she basically remembered who she was and went back to J.R. [Larry Hagman],” Martin said a few years ago in an interview for a Dallas fan site. The character was killed off in a plane crash to conclude Martin’s initial stint on the series. However… After J.R. Ewing was shot by an unseen assailant in what many consider to be the most buzzworthy season finale in TV history, viewer polls and Las Vegas oddsmakers made Dusty a favorite to be the answer to the question on literally everyone’s minds: “Who shot J.R.?” For this reason, the series brought Dusty back from the dead. “My agent said, ‘Get ready, they are going to bring you back,'” Martin said in the past, explaining: “I said, ‘How? I’m dead.’ My agent says, “Oh, this is Hollywood, they will think of something.'” HA! That remains the case today, really. Dusty would make an amazing recovery and even return to the rodeo circuit. Upon his retirement from acting, Martin co-founded and served as the creative director for the non-profit Big Picture Alliance, which brought the world of filmmaking to inner-city kids. He also spent his time as a painter and photographer after his acting days were over. Martin is survived by Christian, wife Yu Wei, and grandchildren. Jenelle Evans is known for a lot of things. She’s known for getting arrested practically a billion times , and for her love of drugs and her willingness to throw down at literally any opportunity. But no one would know anything about any of that if she hadn’t gotten pregnant at the tender age of 16. Back then, she gave birth to a little boy she named Jace, and after struggling for a few months, she officially signed over custody to her mother, Barbara. Barbara cared for Jace while Jenelle ran off to party with her friends, and when she bounced around from terrible dude to terrible dude. When she was off getting high with her boyfriends, Barbara stepped up, and now, nearly eight years later, Jace seems to be doing well. And so it just makes sense that Jenelle would try to rip the poor kid away from the only parental figure he’s ever known to drag him off to live with her. For the past few years, Jenelle has been talking about getting Jace back — though sometimes it seems like she wants custody of him just to hurt her mother. But, believe it or not (just kidding, you’ll definitely believe it), this is the first time in years that she doesn’t have any pending charges against her. So it’s high time to get that kid, right?! After months of continuations, today was finally the big day: the day Jenelle and Barbara would go to court and a judge would offer a final ruling on the custody of poor Jace. And it sounds like it was a roller coaster of a day. First of all, Jenelle did not get custody. And thank goodness for that. According to a report from The Ashley’s Reality Roundup, Jenelle and Barb had mediation instead of the actual trial, and they were able to work out a new plan for Jace. Barb, out of the kindness of her heart, was willing to share custody, and right now that means that they’ll set up an official schedule for visitation. This will undoubtedly be a relief for both of them, as they’ve both threatened to withhold Jace from the other in the past. The plan is for everyone to try out this new plan for a while, and if it goes well, Jenelle will go back to court and attempt to get full custody. And if this isn’t dramatic enough for you, know that MTV was filming before and after the official proceedings, and Jenelle was seen crying. Look, there really isn’t any great solution with this. It would be wonderful if Jace could live with his mother and his two younger siblings and have just the best life, but Jenelle still has quite a few hot mess tendencies about her. Cortez Kennedy, the former NFL defensive lineman who spent ten years with the Seattle Seahawks, has passed away at the age of 48. His cause of death remains unknown. Kennedy passed away in Orlando, and officials say they’re currently investigating the matter. A spokesperson for the Orlando Police Department says there’s no reason to suspect foul play, and Kennedy’s death appears to have resulted from natural causes. Drafted third overall in the 1990 draft, Kennedy spent the entirety of his stellar career with the Seahawks. During his decade in the league, Kennedy was selected for the Pro Bowl an impressive eight times. In 1992, he recorded 14 sacks and was named NFL Defensive Player of the Year by the Associated Press. Kennedy sat out the 2001 season due to injury and announced his retirement from football in 2002. He received numerous offers from other teams, but stated that he wished to finish his career with the team that had given him his start. Kennedy was voted into the NFL Hall of Fame in 2012, and with a look at his career stats, it’s not hard to see why: In 167 games with Seattle, he recorded 668 tackles, 58 sacks, and 3 interceptions. In the minutes after news of Kennedy’s death went public, Kennedy instantly became a trending topic on social media, with some of the biggest names to ever play the game playing tribute: “Really sad to lose a guy like Cortez Kennedy,” tweeted John Elway. “A great personality, a great player & I enjoyed competing against him. Prayers to his family.” “R.I.P Cortez Kennedy… Gone way too early. Thanks for always sharing knowledge to a young buck like me,” wrote fellow University of Miami alum Reggie Wayne. The former Major League Baseball player and the current Majorly Hot Piece of Ass have been dating for a few months now, going public with their relationship very early on. The stars attended the MET Gala in New York City back on May 1 and Lopez even accompanied Rodriguez to Florida to spend time with the Yankees during spring training in March. On Monday night, however, J. Lo made one of her strongest statements to date regarding A. Rod. She shared the photo above on her Instagram account, included with it a heart emoji, a single word and a single acronym. “My #MCM,” wrote the singer as a caption. As you’ve probably heard, Pippa Middleton married James Matthews over the weekend, in a ceremony that was pretty low-key by the standards of a “semi-royal” wedding. Clearly, Pippa wanted to keep the guest list small, and we’re guessing the reason for that wasn’t that she wanted to save some cash. (Pippa has some well-off in-laws.) No, what’s more likely is that Pippa didn’t want to be overshadowed at her own wedding, which is perfectly understandable. Unfortunately, when your sister is married to a dude who’s gonna be a king someday, that’s no easy feat. In addition to the media’s obsession with Kate Middleton, Pippa had to contend with a new up-and-comer in the form of Prince Harry’s girlfriend Meghan Markle. There were rumors that Meghan would not be invited to the wedding , but it was widely assumed that the Pipster would cave when the time came. But in a move that proves once and for all that the Brits are the undisputed masters of passive-aggressive shade, Pippa stuck to her no MegMar policy … kind of. Witnesses and photos from the big day show that Meghan was not in attendance at Pippa’s ceremony. But she did attend the reception, showing up shotgun in Harry’s silver Audi. So it sounds like some sort of royal compromise was reached, wherein Meghan would be permitted to sit through the awkward groomsmen toasts but not to watch Pippa and James exchange vows. Meg made out like a bandit on this deal, as everyone knows the ceremony is just the boring part you have to suffer through in order to get to the open bar. People magazine consulted an etiquette expert in order to determine if this is an unusual arrangement, because that’s the sort of thing People magazine does in this sort of situation: “I would not be surprised if Prince Harry was not given a plus one, as the wedding guest list would have most likely been made in fall of last year when Prince Harry’s relationship with Meghan was not as public,” the expert said. “I typically recommend if someone is married, engaged, considers themselves to have a serious significant other, or is traveling in for the wedding, they should receive a plus one.” So there you have it. Christina El Moussa may no longer be married to Tarek El Moussa. But she’s still all about family. Or two members of her family at least. On Thursday, the Flip or Flop co-host shared a photo to Instagram of some fresh new ink she now has on her wrist. The two tattoos are in honor of six-year old daughter Taylor and one-year old son Brayden and El Moussa wrote the following as a caption to the snapshot: “Been wanting this for a long time. No time like the present. #taylorreese #braydenjames.” As you can see here, Christina has honored her children by permanently etching their birthdays in roman numerals on her skin. On Snapchat, she also took fans behind the scenes of the tattoos by posting the following image: Christina shares custody of Taylor and Brayden with estranged husband Tarek. The two separated last May and filed for divorce in December. Most fans presumed HGTV would cancel Flip or Flop in light of this development, but the network recently ordered additional episodes of the series ; it will now run all the way through 2017. Despite (or maybe because of) the awkward status of its co-hosts, the program has seen its ratings shoot up over the past couple months. Tarek and Christina, meanwhile, have tried to maintain an amicable relationship. They’ve said all the right things in public about putting their children first and leaving the past behind them and wishing the best for their former other halves. Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, for example, Christina said in March of Tarek: “Tarek and I are in a good spot. We have a lot of things that we’re working on, cool things coming in the future, so we’re just looking forward.” And then Tarek went ahead and paid tribute to Christina on Mother’s Day this month. “I’m a day late and a dollar short… but… I want to wish Christina a happy Mother’s Day Tay and Bray love her to the moon and back!” he wrote as a caption to the picture below. Very nice sentiment, right? But while we’re sure Tarek meant well, cracks in the facade of kindness between him and Christina do show up on occasion. A few days ago, for example, Tarek made a joke about the time last spring when he grabbed a gun and stormed into the woods following an argument with Christina. And Christina basically responded to it by calling Tarek out on his BS and telling him to shut up. Not in so many words. But she was clearly annoyed that he made fun of a rather serious incident; one that involved her calling 911 because she was afraid of what Tarek might do with a gun . This passive aggressive bickering isn’t great for raising two kids. But it’s really great for viewers of Flip or Flop and even better for editors of a celebrity gossip site! Amber Portwood and Matt Baier seem to be in a very confused state these days. It’s tough to figure out exactly what’s going on between them, because as far as we can tell, Matt and Amber don’t even know if they’re together or not. The latest of many rough patches began when Baier failed a lie detector , leading Amber to believe he’d been cheating on her. Shortly thereafter, Amber gave a number of statements that made it sound as though she was considering kicking Matt to the curb, but hadn’t quite committed yet. “I can’t say we’re together right now and I can’t say we aren’t together right now,” she explained in an interview. “It’s a weird situation.” The cheating revelation comes on the heels of a streak of unconscionably douchey behavior, even by Matt Baier standards. Baier recently declared that he would “never” marry Portwood following a conflict with her brother, and it generally seemed as though he had little interest in saving his troubled relationship. After her wishy-washy “we’re not together, but we’re not not together” remarks Amber finally got assertive this week and revealed that she and Baier had called off their wedding . Teen Mom fans were pretty much universally thrilled, as Matt has proven himself to be the worst on countless occasions. Even before the cheating allegations, we knew that Baier was a deadbeat dad with a wandering eye who has no qualms about berating the fiancee who finances his indolent lifestyle. Unfortunately, it looks like Amber may be having some trouble sticking to her guns. According to Radar Online, Portwood and Baier are still living together , and she’s currently going back and forth on the decision of whether or not to kick him out. “Amber has not made any final decisions just yet,” a source close to the couple tells Radar. “The relationship is still chugging along for now.” Right now, it’s not looking good for fans who are hoping that Amber will put some major distance between herself and Baier. Earlier this week, Portwood issued a statement on social media in which she wrote, “As of right now, we are not broken up.” Still it seems her friends have remained optimistic, as Amber continues to offer the occasional glimmer of hope: “She is saying it’s over,” says one source. “But they could get back together.
