Is it really all over between Kody Brown and Robyn Brown ? It depends on who you ask. Last week, we were among the first outlets to write that Robyn was finally getting out of this unhealthy relationship and filing for divorce from the controversial Sister Wives patriarch. This news didn’t come as a giant shock to those who watch Sister Wives online , considering the dwindling presence of Robyn on the TLC reality series last season. According to Radar Online, Robyn has simply grown tired of her role both on the program and in her marriage and has decided to move on. “She is leaving the first week in January to go back to Utah with the kids and be with her family to figure out the next step in her life,” an anonymous source alleged to that celebrity gossip site. Simple enough, right? Sensible enough on her part, right? Especially when you consider that Radar also claims that Robyn thinks her children “aren’t being treated well.” But while Robyn has remained silent on this rumor, both Kody Brown and Meri Brown have jumped on Twitter to deny its validity. Strongly. First, there was Meri back on December 19. She wrote that she simply dies of laughter every time she reads a false rumor about her family, stating simply that it’s probably a “lie” if you didn’t hear it from a member of the Browns. Note the word “probably,” of course. This isn’t the most strident denial we’ve ever read. Kody, however, makes a more powerful case in favor of his marriage to Robyn. On December 23, two days after we published the claim that one of his Sister Wives was leaving him, the head of this effed up family responded to a follower who wondered about his marital status. “I can’t handle the heartbreak,” wrote @akwilson, referring to talk of Kody and Robyn splitting up and really needing to get a life if she was serious. In response, Kody included Robyn’s Twitter handle and wrote: “Not true! [Robyn] and I just went to dinner and shopping.” Who knows what to believe at this point. Talk of strife between Kody and Robyn is not exactly knew. Heck, talk of strife between Kody and all of his other halves is not exactly new. It isn’t easy being one of four women and four mothers in the same household. There’s only so much of Kody to go around, and that’s before you even consider that Kody may just suck as a human being. Heck, back in November, the rumor mill didn’t churn around Kody and Robyn. It churned around Kody and Meri , with insiders saying these two were breaking up in light of Meri’s crazy catfishing scandal. Forget the Kardashians. The Browns have been at the center of the tabloid universe for a number of months, as one cover after another has screamed about fights, divorces and everything in between. It was on display yet against this week, as Swift surprised one of her biggest fans with a special holiday appearance and personal concert. She stopped by the Missouri home of Cyrus Porter, a 96-year old World War II veteran who has attended numerous Taylor Swift shows, driving to St. Louis and Memphis simply to see her in musical action. Porter has been diagnosed with cancer and hadn’t been sure if he’d be able to see another Swift concert in 2017. So when Taylor learned of this story and this fan, she made it her mission to pay Porter a visit. While at Porter’s home, Swift posted for photos with over 60 family members, thrilling those who simply could not believe their eyes or their ears. (Yes, their ears . Swift even played “Shake It Off” for everyone on hand.) “Taking selfies, holding babies, hugging grandpas and leaving lipstick marks. Taylor Swift does it all. 2016 has claimed about celebrity. On Christmas Day, George Michael died at the age of 53 of heart failure. One of the most influential singers of his generation, Michael will be greatly missed by fans around the world. And also by his fellow stars. As previously reported, George Michael is dead at the age of 53. The unexpected passing of this pop music icon was made public by Michael’s publicist on Sunday night, with Connie Filippello issuing the following brief statement to The BBC: “It is with great sadness that we can confirm our beloved son, brother and friend George passed away peacefully at home over the Christmas period. “The family would ask that their privacy be respected at this difficult and emotional time. There will be no further comment at this stage.” At the time of this sad announcement, most media outlets speculated that George Michael died of heart failure. And this speculation has now been confirmed by the singer’s longtime manager, Michael Lippman. “I’m devastated,” Lippman said told The Hollywood Reporter, explaining that he received a call on Christmas morning notifying him that Michael had been found “in bed, lying peacefully.” The precise time of death is not known at this time, but there was “no foul play whatsoever,” says Lippman. Expect funeral plans to be announced shortly. While Michael had battled a few health problems over the years, this fatal incident of heart failure was not expected. There was no signs in the days leading up to the artist’s death that he was gravely ill. The Thames Valley Police, has referred to the the death as “unexplained but not suspicious,” sending The Hollywood Reporter a statement that reads as follows: “Thames Valley Police were called to a property in Goring-on-Thames shortly before 2pm Christmas Day. Sadly, a 53-year-old man was confirmed deceased at the scene. “At this stage the death is being treated as unexplained but not suspicious. A post mortem will be undertaken in due course. “There will be no further updates from Thames Valley Police until the post mortem has taken place.” Michael rose to fame in the 1980s as part of Wham!, the duo created with his good friend Andrew Ridgeley. As a solo artist and as a member of this tandem, he was responsible for 10 number-one hits on the Billboard 100 chart. Among his best known and most beloved? “Faith,” “I Want Your Sex,” “Father Figure,” “One More Try” and “Careless Whisper.” Overall, Michael released five solo albums: Faith, Listen Without Prejudice Vol. 1, Older, Songs From the Last Century (a covers/standards albums) and Patience. He also came out with a pair of greatest hits sets. His first live album, Symphonica, ended up being his final album; it released in 2014. Fairman’s cause of death has been revealed by those close to her as an overdose, though no autopsy has been conducted as of yet. In the hours after news of her death went public, Fairman’s former MTV colleagues took to social media to express their condolences. Not surprisingly, the strangest tribute belonged to Farrah Abraham, who lamented Fairman’s death in rambling, nonsensical fashion on Instagram: “I feel so heartfelt with sadness of the struggles Valerie was going through I deeply am saddened by this tragedy and I wish that others around Valerie could have helped her and I pray nothing but protection, love and peace to her daughter through this very confusing holiday time,” Farrah wrote. “Only 23 we lost a very beautiful young mom with the world ahead of her. Surround yourself with other who will truly care and be a great influence be careful.” We’re used to baffling word salads from Ms. Abraham, but unfortunately, in this case, she seems to have been encouraged by the response to her message, as she’s still offering her two cents on Fairman’s passing. It really adds a lot of more unplanned pregnancies and a lot of failed relationships, and that’s not really what we’re trying to show. And it’s not really done in a positive, effective way that I think we all started out doing. “And that’s just the honest to God’s truth. There have been a lot of jokes about what a horrendous year 2016 has been (Don’t talk about it in the past tense yet, or it’ll grandmother and your favorite singer in one fiery head-on collision.), but we think much of the criticism has been unfair. After all, we already have reason to believe that 2017 will be much, much worse. We may not know exactly what unique horrors lie in store for us in the coming 12 months, but we do know we won’t make it three weeks before Putin’s puppet pops a figurative squat on the Capitol steps and wipes with the Constitution. Yes, whether you like it or not (statistically, you probably don’t) Donald Trump’s inauguration will take place on January 20. Usually, entertainers consider performing on Inauguration Day to be a incredible honor, but Team Trump has had difficulty securing any talent at all, much less the yuuuuge names that Trump would like to see on stage. Thus far, only three acts have been confirmed for the Donald’s Inauguration Day: The Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which is surprising, considering how much Trump struggled against independent candidate Evan McMullin in Utah. Jackie Evancho, which is also surprising, considering that by finishing in second place on her season of America’s Got Talent, Evancho joins the rest of the world on Trump’s list of losers. And the Radio City Rockettes, who are the most surprising selection of all, as they’re basically being coerced into getting on stage to sport massive grins and get their kick-line on. A Rockette named Phoebe Price took to Instagram to express her displeasure with being forced to perform at the inauguration, and her plea for understanding has gone viral today: “I usually don’t use social media to make a political stand but I feel overwhelmed with emotion,” Price writes. “Finding out that it has been decided for us that Rockettes will be performing at the Presidential inauguration makes me feel embarrassed and disappointed.” “The women I work with are intelligent and are full of love and the decision of performing for a man that stands for everything we’re against is appalling,” “I am speaking for just myself but please know that after we found out this news, we have been performing with tears in our eyes and heavy hearts #notmypresident” An email that was sent from the Rockettes union to the performers went public today, and many have expressed shock over the group basically being informed that they have no choice but to take the stage: “Everyone is entitled to her own political beliefs, but there is no room for this in the workplace,” the email reads. “If you are not full time, you do not have to sign up to do this work. If you are full time, you are obligated.” The women are further informed that any “boycott” of the event will be considered “invalid.” Trump, meanwhile, has been tweeting about how many celebrities are clamoring to be invited to the event – without naming any names, of course: “The so-called ‘A’ list celebrities are all wanting tixs to the inauguration, but look what they did for Hillary, NOTHING,” Trump tweeted. “I want the PEOPLE!” the President-elect tweeted this morning.
