Plus-Size Woman Fights Back After Getting Hate Mail for Wearing Leggings

Hey, were you feeling like maybe you wanted to lose a little bit of faith in humanity today? If you even have any faith left, well, then gather round. We’ll kill off that last little bit for you. Because, see, there’s this woman named Kelley Markland. Kelley is a mother, she sells Scentsy products, and she also enjoys a good pair of leggings. She’s fierce as hell, right? She’s rocking those leggings, and she looks amazing. But unfortunately, one sad, sorry soul doesn’t take too kindly to people like Kelley wearing leggings. And that person felt so strongly about it, that she actually sent Kelley a letter. A physical letter. Like, with an envelope and a stamp and everything. Here’s the thoughtful letter this woman received: And if that didn’t get the message across, don’t worry! This anonymous loser also decided to add an Anchorman meme to really clarify things: OK, so let’s break this down. Somebody, a human being alive in this world, saw Kelley in her leggings and hated it so much that they went through the trouble of grabbing some paper and a pen and writing down her grievances. She then looked up a meme, printed it out, put the meme in an envelope with the letter, addressed the letter, slapped a stamp on, then put it in a mailbox. This person did all that, and there was not one single time that she thought “huh, maybe this is the most ridiculous thing that ever happened.” These are dark and troubling times we’re living in right now. Can we blame Trump? Let’s just go ahead and blame Trump . Kelley shared that hateful letter on Facebook, and the message she wrote along with it is just so heartbreaking. “Anyone who knows me,” she wrote, “knows that I care deeper and stronger than many. I am a sensitive woman and I despise cruelty towards others.” “I have never pretended to be pretty or look good in clothing. I have never tried to be flashy or show off. Wearing my ‘fun’ leggings gave me a tad bit of confidence in not looking sloppy all the time.” “I’m sorry that some of you may not like it, but I’m not dressing for you. All the hate in this world, and you have to pick on me for this?!” “Thank you for making me feel like absolute, complete sh-t … so unbelievably disappointed in people anymore.” Aww, Kelley, girl, no! You are pretty, and you do look good in clothing! Be flashy, show off! Get it! And it seems like a lot of other people wanted to encourage Kelley too — she works as a substitute teacher, and after she shared that Facebook post, many of her coworkers used the magic of leggings to show their support. “All the teachers were coming up and hugging me and showing me their leggings,” Kelley said in an interview . “So I knew at that point, it’s not about me anymore, it’s about all women.” She explained that “The letter killed me inside and I still get upset by it, but at the same time I have gained immense strength.” This is such a sad story — seriously, think about how pitiful the person who sent the letter must be — but it’s so good to hear that this woman was able to turn the situation around. People can wear whatever they want to wear , no matter their size or whether or not other people find it attractive. It’s 2016. Do we honestly still need to learn that very simple lesson? Farrah Abraham vs. Amber Portwood: An In-Depth Analysis of the Fight of the Year!

As you’ve likely heard by now, Farrah Abraham fought Amber Portwood in what will likely be remembered as one of the great throwdowns in the history of reality television. We’ve seen scuffles on Teen Mom before ( Farrah vs. random producer springs immediately to mind), but nothing on par with what we saw on Monday night. It all started when Farrah doubled-down on Simon Saran’s claims that Amber’s boyfriend, Matt Baier, is a pedophile . Not surprisingly, Amber didn’t take this well, and ran back out on stage to have a word with Farrah. That’s when the figurative  “Just because somebody’s 20 years older than you doesn’t mean he’s a f–king pedophile,” Amber shouted. Various crew members assembled to try and prevent the scuffle from getting physical, but by that point, even they probably knew it was too late. Farrah and Amber squared off, with Farrah seemingly have no real expectation that Amber would initiate an actual fight. After all, usually it’s Farrah who’s the batsh-t one in any given situation. To her surprise, however, Amber really did take a swing … Unfortunately, she has about as much accuracy as Orlando Bloom going after Justin Bieber . We’re not saying we wanted to see Farrah get seriously hurt or anything, but seeing her get one stinging, well-received smack across the face would’ve been pretty satisfying. At least she gave us one of the all-time great reaction faces: Anyway, things quickly went from real to really real. Matt rushed out and wound up going toe-to-toe with Farrah’s dad, Michael Abraham. We’ve known for quite some time that Baier is a douche, but the way he took the situation infinitely worse by knocking a retiree to the ground made us think we’d underestimated his douchiness. Michael says Baier essentially crippled him , leaving him bedridden due to a knee injury. You can bet that Baier has a lawsuit coming his way. Fortunately, he’s been sued for paternity multiple times in the past year, so he probably knows a good lawyer. There’s so much terribleness in this three-minute span that it’s hard to pinpoint a real villain … Rather it would be, were it not for the presence of Simon Saran, who instigated the situation, then stood around and laughed while sh-t hit the fan and his girlfriend nearly got smacked. In the end, we lost a lot of respect for people we had very little respect for in the first place, but no one came off looking worse than Simon. He and Farrah deserve each other, but we still hope she kicks him to the curb ASAP. And this has been your round-by-round analysis of the bout that made Holm vs. Rousey look like amateur hour. Okay, that may be a bit of an exaggeration, but we got to see some genuine terror momentarily flash across Farrah’s face, and that is something for which we’ll forever be grateful. Watch Teen Mom online for more deplorable behavior from people who shouldn’t be anywhere near children. (Except you, Amber. You aight.)

Maisie Williams Nude Photos Leak, Actress Responds

Some idiotic Internet user has clearly never watched Game of Thrones. Because he or she has dared to mess with Maisie Williams. The actress – best known and absolutely beloved for playing Arya Stark on the aforementioned HBO drama – has become the latest nude photo hacking victim, with pictures of Williams in a state of undress having hit the Internet. Out of respect, we’re not about the post the images here, but they have been making the rounds on Reddit for days. The pictures depict the 19-year-old posing topless on a rock. Her back is turned to the camera and she’s with two female friends who are also in skimpy outfits. A rep for Williams has even issued a statement to The New York Post, confirming that his client is featured in the photos, while also downplaying their racy nature. “The images online were shared from Maisie’s personal social media account,” this rep tells Page Six, adding: “The images are not explicit in nature, but pictures of Maisie and close friends at a spa at a recent visit to Japan.” Such a violation of privacy is galling under any circumstance, of course. But Williams took this trip to Japan in order to protest dolphin shows and the hunting of the aquatic mammals. We guess that’s why they say no good deed goes unpunished, huh? Because people on the Internet can often suck a whole lot, Williams is merely the latest female star to suffer from an online hacking. Remember The Fappening  in 2014? Remember when Jennifer Lawrence nude pics broke loose on the World Wide Web? Kristen Dunst and Kaley Cuoco were among the other actress victimized at that time by some loser hacker, while Saturday Night Live star Leslie Jones watched her nude pics get stolen and released over the summer. Williams, meanwhile, has long been an outspoken enemy of sexism . She calls out misogyny whenever she sees it and she was responsible for one of our favorite quotes ever on the topic. “We should stop calling feminists ‘feminists,’” the young star once said. “And just start calling people who aren’t feminist ‘sexist” and then everyone else is just a human. You are either a normal person or a sexist. People get a label when they’re bad.” We can’t say this loudly enough: AMEN, MAISIE WILLIAMS! Williams will return to the small screen for Game of Thrones Season 7 next year. We’ll obviously be tuning in because Game of Thrones is awesome and epic and everyone with a television ought to be watching. But also just to cheer on Williams. She’s only 19 years old and she’s more mature and insightful than a majority of people on this planet. And certainly a lot more than the moron who leaked her semi-naked photos online. Yesterday, we had the immense pleasure of seeing the new trailer for Fifty Shades Darker , the action-packed, drama-filled, sex-tastic sequel to the massive hit, Fifty Shades of Grey. And oh, the feelings we had … In Fifty Shades Darker , our heroine, Anastasia Steele, starts off feeling a little freaked out by Christian Grey's freakiness, but so much hardship ends up bringing them back together. And there's also the sex. We can never, ever forget that. Hey, when you find a guy who leaves butt plugs out for his maid to sanitize and who will actually reach inside your vagina to pull out your tampon so you can have period sex, you hold on and never let go, right? But even though we're still so excited from seeing the trailer, it will still be a couple of long, hard, lonely months until the actual movie comes out. Chet Haze: Tom Hanks Rapper Son Reveals Secret Daughter

If you're familiar with Chet Haze, it's probably because social media has basically reduced the rapper son of Tom Hanks to a living meme. Obviously, it's easy to poke fun at the white, privileged offspring of one of America's most celebrated nice-guy actors when the guy chooses to speak with an “urban” accent and previously made the unfortunate decision to pepper his speech with n-bombs. But, it's also easy to forget that Chet is a human being who seems to be making an effort to change himself for the better. After struggling with substance abuse, Chet is sober now; he's carved out a decent acting career for himself, with a recurring part on the Showtime series Shameless , and is his fans learned yesterday, Haze has been a father for quite some time. Chet made the revelation in an Instagram video posted yesterday. He began with an apology for his absence from the 'Gram: “I've been figuring out my life, which is what we're all doing, and social media is all bullsh-t,” Chet tells the camera. “I want to share something today because it's about to be shared anyway in the press, which is the fact that I have a daughter,” he went on to say. “it hasn't been easy making all my mistakes in public. But I'm figuring it out.” “She’s not something to be posted,” he explained. “She’s something that I love, that’s changed my life but the fact is she’s about to be shared with everybody so I wanted you to hear it from me.” Haze checked into rehab last year, and he credits his daughter with his decision to turn his life around: “She's the reason why I turned my life around and got sober,” he says. “I've been sober — for over a year and a half — from everything.” No word on how old the girl is, but our very belated congrats go out to Chet on becoming a dad, as well as to Tom on the new granddaughter!

Kanye West: I Need to Keep Away from the Kardashians!

For the past several days, stunning reports from across the Internet have alleged that Kim Kardashian may divorce Kanye West . There’s been talk that Kim has met with an attorney already and is simply sick and tired of Kanye’s nonsense. The stars have allegedly grown apart ever since Kardashian was robbed at gunpoint in early October, an incident that caused her to shy away from the spotlight and NOT go on tour with her husband for the first time in years. As a result, there’s supposedly tension between Kim and Kanye, although all reports to date have claimed that she’s the one considering a split. All reports until THIS one right here, that is. According to Page Six of The New York Post, West is fearful of becoming the next Kardashian “casualty.’ He’s aware that Kris Humphries is no longer a household name… and that Lamar Odom has fallen off the wagon… and that nearly every man who a Kardashian or Jenner touches ends up regretting his association with this family. Could someone as successful as Kanye West fall prey to this curse? Anything is possible. “People around [West] are like, ‘He needs to get away from those crazy people.’ It’s just a curse over there,” an insider tells Page Six, adding: “Anything with the Kardashians is tarnished and . . . they’re opportunistic people who completely take advantage of him.” And while one might think that Kanye could never see himself being taken advantage of, the same insider claims that the rapper understands where his pals are coming from. “Even [Kanye’s] like, ‘F-ck this, I’m not going to be the next casualty,” the source says. Kardashian and her kids are reportedly shacking up with Kris Jenner for awhile, at least until things calm down inside their regular home. The rapper was released this month after nine days in the hospital for a nervous breakdown and is still receiving outpatient treatment. He has a long way to go until he’s in the mental clear. Similarly, Kardashian is still feeling the negative effects of the aforementioned robbery. Both have some major issues on their plates. It remains to be seen whether they will be able to work on these issues together, or if the once-stable couple will be torn apart. There’s no definitive answer at the moment. In the same Page Six report that claimed Kanye wants to avoid becoming the next Kardashian victim, another insider says the following: “The divorce stuff is totally untrue. If anything – with everything that’s been going on between the robbery and this episode with him – it’s brought them closer. “Kim has been right by his side and they’ve gotten closer than ever through it…. “[The divorce rumor] is completely bogus and lame because it makes her look like she’s abandoning him in his time of need. It’s totally wrong. His friends want to be supportive of them and of her.” You may go ahead and believe whichever side to this story you want. It does seem interesting that neither Kim nor Kanye would issue any kind of statement to shoot down divorce chatter, doesn’t it? Grammy Nominations 2017: Who Got Snubbed?

Earlier today, nominations for the 2017 Grammy Awards were confirmed. The announcement led to a lot of hooting and a good deal of hollering on the Internet… along with the usual outrage over who or what got snubbed. So, who or what got snubbed by the Grammys this year?!? In one website's opinion… 1. David Bowie’s Blackstar Not Album of the Year nod?!? Yes, it’s up for Best Alternative Music Album and Best Recording Package, but this was the final record of an all-time legend. 2. Sia’s This Is Acting Same question: no Album of the Year nod?!? Singles from this record were EVERYwhere in 2016. 3. Lukas Graham for Best New Artist? How can his song “7 Years” score seven nominations… and yet Graham wasn’t considered in this category? 4. Alessia Cara for Best New Artist? Another contender… or so we thought. We love her single “Here” and critics loved the album “Know-It-All.” 5. Poor Drake… Sort Of Drake earned an Album of the Year nomination, so we don’t feel sorry for him. But we think “One Dance” should have been up for Record/Song of the Year. 6. You CAN Stop This Feeling, We Guess Justin Timberlake’s “Can’t Stop the Feeling” is up for Best Song Written for Visual Media. But not Record/Song of the Year? Good luck getting it out of your head! Naomi Judd: I Almost Killed Myself Over Depression

Naomi Judd is pretty much a national treasure at this point.  Which is why it’s extra hard to have to hear that she went through such dark times — times dark enough that she thought it’d be better to take her own life.   Naomi, mother of Ashley Judd and former Wynonna Judd ,  was diagnosed with Hepatitis C in 1991 when she was at the peak of her career.  However, in a brand-new interview with People magazine, Judd revealed that it wasn’t the disease that became intolerable for her.  Judd reported that in 2013, she went through the darkest depression of her life — so dark, in fact, that she contemplated suicide.  On heavy-duty medication cocktails, Judd revealed that she was admitted to various psych wards, and had been to therapy myriad times.  Things got so bad that Naomi revealed she began plotting her own demise — jumping from a bridge nearby her Tennessee home.  Judd told People,  “Nobody can understand it unless you’ve been there.” “Think of your very worst day of your whole life — someone passed away, you lost your job, you found out you were being betrayed, that your child had a rare disease,” she trailed off. “You can take all of those at once and put them together and that’s what depression feels like.” Judd also revealed that a part of her lapse into a bottomless pit depression was a direct result of sexual abuse by an uncle, and detailed a depression so deep that she wouldn’t leave her home.  “I literally couldn’t leave the house for weeks,” Judd revealed. “I was completely immobilized and every single second was like a day.” “It’s so beyond making sense but I thought, ‘Surely my family will know that I was in so much pain and I thought they would have wanted me to end that pain [through suicide],’ ” she reasoned.   Judd eventually began to emerge from the darkness, and penned her new memoir, River of Time: My Descent Into Depression and How I Emerged With Hope .  Though she’s in a much better place than she was over the last four years, she stated she’s not out of the woods yet. “I’m still trying desperately trying to help myself,” she said. “There’s never going to be a pill for it all.” “Those thoughts of suicide don’t come anymore. But I’m vulnerable. I know I can backslide,” Judd admitted.  Naomi also claimed that the side effects of the many medications she has to ingest have taken their toll on her.  Judd said that she’s lost her hair, experiences tremors in her hands, and has a swollen face as a result of the meds’ side effects.  But she’s alive, and she’s trying — and that’s what really matters.  Memoirs apparently run in the family — daughter Ashley Judd, sexually abused  as a child as well — wrote her own in 2011, and Naomi had some hurt feelings after the book was released.  About daughter Judd’s book, All That is Bitter and Sweet , Naomi said, “I will probably get around to reading it, because as a mom, I certainly want to honor her reality,” “I was horrible,” Naomi said. “I didn’t know any better.” What a mess, but it’s incredibly brave that Naomi has decided to come forward and address and attack these issues head-on.  View Slideshow: 27 Celebrities Who Suffer From Mental Illness

Ivanka Trump: Moving to D.C. Despite Promise to Stay in NYC

Remember when Donald Trump was running for president , and he promised that his kids would run his business while he focused on running the country? Remember when he assured us that his children would not be receiving White House jobs, but would instead be managing his assets, which would be placed in a blind trust? If you want to go even more recent, remember when Trump appeared on 60 Minutes , and his daughter Ivanka assured Leslie Stahl that she would be remaining in New York and not moving to Washington, D.C. in order to help keep her father’s rage-tweets to a minimum? Well, you may want to sit down for this, but it looks as though the Trump family may have lied to us! We know, you’re astonished that the guy who started his campaign by claiming the Mexican government has “forced” 34 million undocumented immigrants into the US – and who just this morning abused his power by falsely accusing Boeing of overcharging the government, seemingly because the company has expressed skepticism over his trade policies – would ever lie to you. But believe it or not, it seems that’s exactly what’s going on here. Multiple media outlets are reporting today that Ivanka her husband, Jared Kushner, have been house hunting in the nation’s capital. The potential move raises concerns for a number of reasons. Trump is mostly protected from conflict of interest laws domestically, but his continued involvement in the corporate world has raised concerns about potential negative impacts of a Trump presidency on the US economy. Trump has yet to be sworn in , but there are already concerns that the President-elect’s outraged tweets could be perceived as “stock bashing” of publicly traded companies.  Additionally, if Trump receives any income from foreign governments as a result of his overseas holdings, he may be in violation of the Constitutions emoluments clause, which would make him a prime candidate for impeachment. Prince Harry Takes 1,700 Mile Flight to Spend One Night With Meghan Markle

You may have been in a relationship that got serious right off the bat. You might have stayed up all night texting after two dates, or maybe even moved in with someone you’ve only been seeing for a few weeks. But have you ever flown nearly 2,000 miles to spend one night with someone you’ve only known for a matter of months? Probably not, but if you have – can we be friends? Like, you sound a little too intense to date, but you also sound like you have a lot of money that you like to throw around frivolously, which is a quality we look for in our friends. Anyway, what does all of this have to do with – anything? We’re gonna assume you asked that question, and we’re glad you did! As you may have heard, Prince Harry is dating Meghan Markle , an actress on the show Suits , which as far as we can tell, is a series that’s based on that episode of Seinfeld where Kenny Bania gives Jerry a bunch of clothes from Armani in exchange for a meal, but then he only orders soup and it turns into a whole thing. Meghan and Harry successfully kept their relationship on the down-low for a few weeks, but it seems it didn’t take them long to decide that they’re serious enough to go public. As far was we can tell they met in September, but from the way they’re rushing in, you’d think that one of they’d been together much longer. (Or that one of them is royalty and the other stars in a show that’s survived for six seasons despite only ever being watched by your mother-in-law.) First,  Harry issued a statement about his relationship with Markle. Shortly thereafter, we learned that Meghan is staying at Kensington Palace when she’s not busy with work. Now, it seems that when she is busy with work, Harry goes to insane lengths to spend even short amounts of time with Meghan. According to UK tabloid The Sun , Harry was recently on a tour of the Caribbean, and instead of returning home when scheduled, he decided to make a detour to Canada, where Meghan is currently filming. The trip took Harry 1,700 miles out of his way, and sources claim the royal and his new lady spent just one night together before he had to return to London. Hopefully, while he was there, he didn’t take notice of the fact that “filming” for Suits consists of Meghan and her co-stars putting on a play behind a cardboard cutout of a TV.  That would be embarrassing.
