W hile some people were celebrating that Amber Guyger was convicted of murdering Botham Jean in Dallas, Texas on Sept. 6 2018, there was another injustice happening in Georgia. Former police Zechariah Presley was acquitted of voluntary manslaughter and involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of unarmed Black man Tony Green . He was only 33. SEE ALSO: Complaint Filed Against Judge Tammy Kemp For ‘Unconstitutional’ Behavior After Amber Guyger Sentencing According to the Associated Press , Pastor Mack De’Von Knight, whose church Green attended, said outside of the courthouse, “He admitted that he killed Tony Green in cold blood, To me, it’s hunting season for the young Black man and we’re being gunned down in the streets and there’s no repercussions, there’s no consequences for these officers.” Presley said he followed Green’s car on the night of On the evening of June 20, 2018, Presley was reportedly following Green’s car because he believed he was driving with a suspended license. According to “dash camera video showed Green drive the car off the road, then open the door and run. He briefly returned to the vehicle to grab an unseen object, then fled again.” Presley chased Green on foot, the two struggled, which could not be be seen on camera. Green was then shot eight times. The AP also reported, “On the witness stand Wednesday, Presley added details he had not mentioned previously. He said he opened fire after Green turned back to face him and extended an arm, saying he feared Green had a gun. Investigators determined the object in his hand was a cellphone.” Prosecutor Rocky Bridges slammed this new account in the closing argument, saying, “He made a fatal mistake and it was a mistake that cost a man his life. You don’t have to like Tony Green. … He ran from the police, not a good decision. But he was not armed. He did not turn on officer Presley. He did not deserve to die.” Nonetheless, he was acquitted of manslaughter charges. However, the jury did find Zechariah Presley guilty of violating his oath of office. Hughley Speaks To Suspicious Nature Of Joshua Brown Murder Joshua Brown recently testified against Amber Guyger in her trial for the murder of his neighbor, Botham Jean . Days later he was murdered at his apartment complex when unidentified men shot him before fleeing the scene. Unsubstantiated reports claim he was shot in the mouth, an autopsy is pending. The minute news broke, we all raised our collective eyebrows about who *cough, cops, cough* could have killed someone who by all accounts never had enemies and wasn’t involved in illegal activity. The folks at TMZ caught up with D.L. Hughley and got his thoughts on the matter. Ellen revealed that she and her wife Portia de Rossi were invited to the game by the daughter of Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, Charlotte Jones. “People were upset, they thought why is a gay Hollywood liberal sitting next to a conservative Republican president,” the host began. “Here’s the thing, I’m friends with George Bush, in fact I’m friends with a lot of people who don’t share the same beliefs that I have. We’re all different and I think we’ve forgotten that that’s OK that we’re all different. For instance, I wish people wouldn’t wear fur. I don’t like it, but I’m friends with people who wear fur. Simply stated, she’s annoying. This woman compared herself to Rosa Parks. We shouldn’t be surprised because she also acted like she had better vocals than Lyrica only to sing and sound like trash. I digress. Basically, we pick up tonight’s episode with the road trip from hell. Apple Watts, Micky Munday, Brittany B, Daniel Gibson, Zell Swag, and Paris were headed to Vegas in an RV but could barely leave Los Angeles before the shenanigans ensued. Zell Swag and Paris kept beefing with Brittany B and it got to the point where Paris and Brittany were almost fighting so Apple and Brittany stepped off the bus to cool down. Apple wants to be friends with everyone but Brittany B is her responsibility because she invited her on the trip so now it’s kind of her beef too but she does try to calm Brittany down and that’s when Brittany’s delusions of grandeur surface again. She says she’s like a 2020 Rosa Parks so she’s going to get back on the bus and not budge. Like, why? Anyway, she gets back on the bus. Producers manage to get Zell Swag off the bus because they know he’s just going to poke again and Brittany actually does try to be classy. With Zell off the bus, she apologizes to Paris for being shady toward her and says she never had an issue but Paris won’t let it go. She wants to know why Brittany is apologizing not that Zell is gone and it escalates onces again .Paris tosses a drink at her and starts swinging. These people are like toddlers. Anyway, Paris and Zell Swag roll to Vegas in a separate car. The point of this trip is for them to go to do multiple things. Apple’s family reunion is there and she hasn’t seen them in a while, and B2k is performing on their last leg of the Millennium tour. Brittany, Apple, Micky, and Daniel get to the house they rented first and find Lyrica who is smart. She flew to Vegas to avoid the bus drama. Anyway, she’s there because Zell invited her so she calls him to see where he is and things go left again. Lyrica calls Zell on a video call so Brittany can hear him talking smack about her. By this point, they’re not far from the house. Lyrica lets him say what he has to say then hangs up. Brittany decides to start going in on her as if it’s her fault Zell is being a jerk, so their situation gets escalated and Brittany finally just gets escorted to a hotel. Apple follows her friend and things calm down just as Zell and Paris walk in. The episode ends on a positive note. Apple gets to see her family, particularly her son whom she hasn’t seen in a while, and she urges him to break the cycle of dysfunction that has plagued their family for generations.
