In a talk with Shadow and Act for his new movie with Eddie Murphy , “Dolemite Is My Name”, Snipes was asked about the “New Jack City” project. His response? “I’m not associated with it, you know. I’m have nothing to do with it at all,” he said. When pressed about his specific feelings for the flick, Snipes explained: “I think some things should be left alone…if it worked at the time under the circumstances. And the story was built around things that are current. I don’t particularly like the idea of recreating the drug culture. For what? […] I don’t know. They actually talked to me about doing it and I told them no. If I had a dime for every time I’ve said no. It’s a done deal, it’s a wrap.” The original “New Jack City” premiered in 1991 and it served as Mario Van Peebles ‘ directorial debut. It told the story of New York City drug lord Nino Brown (Snipes) and the detective, Scotty Appleton ( Ice-T ) who goes undercover to plot his downfall. Along with Snipes and Ice-T starring in the movie, Chris Rock, Michael Michele , and Allen Payne also had significant roles. Deadline made the announcement that the flick would be receiving a reboot, although the writer for the movie, Malcolm M. Mays deemed it a “sequel” on Instagram. Along with being a writer, Mays has also had a reoccurring role on the FX drama “Snowfall,” which also explores the inner workings of the drug world only this time, in L.A. where Mays is from. “New Jack City” has had major cultural impact, especially serving as the launching pad for the acting careers of Rock, Payne and Ice-T. Rock was especially memorable to audiences for his dramatic turn as “Pookie” Benny Robinson, a crack addict who eventually becomes a police informant and infiltrates the Cash Money Brothers gang. The flick was made for an estimated $8 million, according to Deadline, and it grossed around $48 million at the domestic box office. Although Mays is set to pen the script for the sequel, there is no director attached yet. Meanwhile, Mays is gearing up to direct and produce the feature film “Flint,” starring John Ortiz and T.I. The movie will follow a converted ex-con who’s found peace in the Tao principles. He finds himself caught up in a murder mystery set upon by his ex-lover and young mentee. His journey plays out in the backdrop of the Flint, MI water crisis and soon connections are made between the protagonist’s mystery and the water crisis afflicting the community where he grew up. There were fights. There was a Russian satellite sighting. There was a forest fire. There was romance. And there was the ongoing threat of The Whisperers on The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 1. But was there a reason to keep tuning in, after a handful of subpar years for a show that used to dominate the ratings and the discussions at all workplace watercoolers? Let’s find out, shall we? The premiere opened with a gigantic training montage, depicting nearly all our favorite survivors getting into formation to do battle with a horde of water-logged walkers from a shipwreck at Oceanside. Aaron was leading the charge — and they came across like a very well-oiled machine at the outside; everyone had a job and the organization was impressive. Behind the front line of spiked shields, there were archers, spear throwers, Magna rocking an axe and both Michonne and Judith putting their swords to good use. Well done all around! Due to the devastation of the fair massacre, it was evident they wanted to be ready for another attack from either The Whisperers themselves… or the massive horde Alpha and her followers threatened to sent in their direction. Cut to Judith and RJ playing on the beach, where they discover one of the still-disturbing flesh masks in the sand, sparking significant concern from the adults. Michonne, of course, didn’t want to start a panic, thereby agreeing to send out a group to scout the surrounding area. As she and Aaron were on their lookout, they went back and forth on whether they were truly “the good guys” or “the villains to someone else’s story” — before he crossed over into Whisper territory to take out a handful of walkers. Michonne was pissed he defied Alpha’s warning, while Aaron was equally angry she obeyed it in the first place. While these two fought it out, Aaron said he’s “god damn sick of being nice,” something Michonne said never worked for her either. “Smart did,” she told him. “They have a nuclear weapon and we don’t,” she added, referring to their horde. “Believe me, I hate this too.” Thinking of all those who have died, Michonne went back to the original question at hand, saying “we have to choose to be the good guys, even when it’s hard.” While all this was taking place, fans got caught up with a few other characters as well. To wit: Kelly is losing her hearing, a development that was taking an emotional toll on her. For understandable reasons. Connie was helping her deal, reassuring her everything will be okay — and saying being deaf “is not a disability, it’s a damn superpower.” Connie also had some romantic sparks with Daryl, who had been learning sign language to communicate with her better. As for Carol? She was been spending her time at sea … away from Ezekiel, from whom she split in the Season 9 finale after the death of Henry. They had a very awkward reunion on the dock before she ran off for some one-on-one time with Daryl, who adorably referred to her his “best friend.” They also got into it a little over Alpha and the Whisperers because Carol didn’t wanna stick to their boundaries and Daryl was more cautious. He said he wouldn’t join her on the high seas while they cooked up their ideal future together: driving West to New Mexico to “see who’s left.” Over in Alexandria, Eugene appeared to have the most interest in Rosita and Siddiq’s baby, while she mainly preoccupied herself by, well, working out. Siddiq, conversely, was grappling with PTSD as the only survivor of the Whisperer attack, prompting him to slip on his duties as a new father. The love quadrangle between Rosita, Eugene, Siddiq and Gabriel is clearly not over. Watch The Walking Dead Season 10 Episode 1 Online Lydia, meanwhile, had bonded a bit with Negan, due to their status as outsiders in the town thanks to their pasts with enemy groups. She was also in school, learning how to read for the first time with a group of much younger classmates. Negan — still in prison but granted time in the garden under watchful eye — knew he was starting to look pretty good compared to the Whisperers and was down with his reputation as “the guy that picks the vegetables and takes out the trash.” Hence the photo above. Soon enough, a satellite crashed to earth, throwing almost everyone into chaotic action. The crash caused a giant fire in the forrest, which Michonne and her people on the beach rushed to put out, despite being over the Whisperer line. They dug a fire line to stop it from going elsewhere, but the sound of the flames and everything going on attracted a ton of walkers. Finally, with the fire out at last, Eugene inspected the satellite for some technology, prior to Daryl asking Carol to not leave again — “otherwise I’m going to have to punch holes in all them boats.” Then, in the show’s final moment, Alpha walked into a clearing, looked up and locked angry eyes with Carol, setting a surefire showdown between these two over Henry. We have a feeling she’s not going anywhere.

Indeed, the Roloffs didn’t just reunite over the weekend for a major personal and professional event… they did so under VERY exciting circumstances. Just consider the following: Jacob Roloff got married a few weeks ago to beloved long-time girlfriend Isabel Rock. Tori Roloff is due to welcome a baby girl right around Thanksgiving. Audrey Roloff is due to welcome a baby boy right after the calendar flips to 2020. And Amy Roloff just got engaged to Chris Marek ! All these developments must have given the family plenty to discuss when they met at their farm in Oregon on Saturday and opened pumpkin season by posing for the photo above. Matt Roloff shared the family picture on his Instagram account, explaining via caption that he has the newest member of the family to thank for it even happening this year. “Leave it to Izzy to remind me that today was the best time to get the annual Roloff family photo of the year.. As has been proven numerous times over the past year and a half or so, Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley simply cannot stay away from each other. Through horrible personal media fights… to various arrests for domestic violence… and, most recently, alleged cocaine use and kidnapping , the effed up couple continues to get back together. But we can safely say this actually will NOT be the case for at least a few more days. Why? Because the legal system now prevents Jen and Ronnie from even being in the same room with one another. Two days after Ortiz-Magro allegedly attacked Jen with a knife, locked himself and his young daughter inside of a home and had to be tasered by police, the Los Angeles Police Department has granted Harley an emergency order of protection against Ronnie. He must stay at least 100 yards away from his girlfriend and also from the home they share in Las Vegas. The order is in place until October 11. If Harley wishes for Ronnie to be forced to remain this same distance away from her for the foreseeable future, she can go to court and have a judge issue a long-term restraining order against the Jersey Shore star. We’ll have to wait and see if that happens. For now, Jen feels a need to keep Ronnie far away from her after the reality stars engaged in yet another loud and ugly argument early this past Friday morning. Cops were eventually called to the premises after Ortiz-Magro reportedly chased after Jen and his daughter, the former of whom had run out of the rented home the family had been occupying out of fear of what Ronnie might do. According to the Harley, Ronnie threatened her witha a knife and granned 18-month old Ariana out of her arms. She says he then took the child back inside the house and refused to let the police enter. Hence why they had to break the door down, tase Ronnie and handcuff him to a gurney. Ronnie was then arrested for both assault and also for kidnapping; he could very well lose custody of Ariana as a result. “The reporting of the alleged incident relating to Ronnie Magro yesterday is based upon pure speculation and innuendo,” Ortiz-Magro’s attorney, Scott E. Leemon, said in a statement to on Saturday, adding: “We are currently conducting our own investigation and will have no further comment until that has been concluded.” View Slideshow: Ronnie Magro: I’m Innocent, Bro! I Was Just Protecting My Daughter! Neither Ronnie or Jen had addressed the arrest/incident in public. Surveillance footage from a neighbor’s camera, however, does depict Harley trying to get help while carrying Ariana during the alleged incident. Jen would claim she was attempting to get Ariana away from her cocaine-fueled father. According to a new report, though, Ronnie would claim that Jen was actually the one trying to kidnap Ariana and that he was merely trying to protect his toddler. He also says he never used a knife. “Officers responded to a battery in progress in the 7200 block of Woodrow Wilson Drive at around 2:40 a.m.,” the Los Angeles Police Department said in a statement. “Suspect and victim were involved in some kind of physical altercation. “When officers [were] on location, the suspect was uncooperative. While her sister Jill Duggar is finally realizing that kids will ruin your life , Jinger has been more or less living it up in California. For the first time in her life, she can make her own clothing choices, even if that means wearing “skimpy” outfits that her dad would hate. Jinger has great taste. In a new wedding photo, she is stunning fans with her style. And Jeremy and Felicity don’t look half-bad, either. “I love Autumn weddings,” Jinger Duggar Vuolo proclaims in the caption of this touching family photo. Here, we see Jinger wearing a navy blue dress. What it covers in sleeves it makes up for in skirt length, and the lower hem leaves Jinger’s knees exposed even when she’s standing. The platforms in her sandals give her diminutive height a bit of a boost, though she’s still considerably shorter than Jeremy. Her hair remains blonde — a move that continues to shock some longtime Duggar fans to their cores. The family of three flew out from California to a familiar state, Texas. There, they were guests of two friends, Cade Foehner and Gabby Barrett, as they tied the knot. Cade and Gabby actually competed against each other in Season 16 of American Idol . While both couples have been friends for some time, Jinger and Jeremy were more than simple guests. Jeremy actually officiated the wedding, as well, which had a very rustic motif (as you may be able to tell by the old wood background, above). It shouldn’t really come as a surprise that Jinger and Jeremy are good friends with Cade and Gabby. Though it’s believed that the two couples only started hanging out early this year, they have a very close bond. Both couples share a strong sense of religious adherence (all involved are Christians). And both couples participate in similar ministries. Jeremy has previously joked on social media that Cade and Gabby were grooming him and Jinger to perform as a musical duo. It was a joke. It’s also notable that Gabby gets along very well with adorable little Felicity. It’s not clear when (or if) Cade and Gabby intend to welcome a child of their own. But we could see how cute little Felicity could ignite a baby fever in just about anyone. In the mean time, fans are singing the praises of Jinger’s sense of style and fashion. She wore such a tasteful, beautiful dress to her friends’ wedding. And it’s just the sort of thing that her parents would never have dreamt of allowing her to wear. Some fans have wondered if, between Jinger’s move to California and her husband’s beliefs about dress codes, Jinger is straying from her family. While it’s possible that her dressing like a human being and not like a pile of wrinkled earth tones has raised some eyebrows … … We should keep in mind that Jinger isn’t really “straying.” According to the Duggar fertility cult’s beliefs, daughters are their father’s property until they are traded off to an approved husband. So even if Jim Bob believes that seeing a woman’s shin is tantamount to motorboating her, it’s officially Jeremy’s “call” how Jinger dresses.
