Wale Pledges Donation To Grambling State University Football Team MMG rapper Wale is no stranger to giving back, and now he’s once again making headlines for his good deeds. Earlier this year we reported on Mr. Folarin awarding a struggling Hampton University student with at $25,000 scholarship , and now the YBF is reporting that Wale pledged a hefty donation to the Grambling State University football team while he was visiting the school to perform for their homecoming festivities. via YBF A few weeks ago, we told you about Grambling State University’s football team going on strike in response to the inferior facilites and equipment they are provided by the university. Now, rapper Wale (who attended Virginia State and Bowie State) has stepped up to the plate and gifted the football team with a much-needed donation. The “Jesus Piece” rapper (shown above with GSU students) was booked to perform at GSU’s homecoming on November 1st. And while on stage, he announced that he and his management team would be sending a check to the university for new uniforms and equipment for the football team. Kudos to Wale once again….can’t be mad at that.

Like auntie, like niece! Jamie Lynn Spears posted a photo of her adorable daughter Maddie, 4, on Instagram for “Celebrity Day” at her school! Do you see the resemblance? Maddie chose to dress up as none other than her famous aunt Britney Spears … circa 1998 “Baby One More Time” video. Of course, the tot’s look was more demure and appropriate than the original, but she nailed the Catholic school girl look perfectly. “Celebrity Day” was part of the school’s Homecoming Week, Jamie Lynn explained. The former Nickelodeon star, Jamie Lynn, has opened up about how motherhood has bonded her with Britney.

Southwest DeKalb High School graduate Robert Champion, 26, was found unresponsive in a parked bus in front of a hotel in Orlando, Florida. The tragedy occurred after FAMU’s (Florida A&M) football team lost to Bethune-Cookman (November 19), investigators suspect it is a result of hazing. In Florida, if any deaths are the result of hazing it is considered to be a third-degree felony. The investigation will continue and will not be able to confirm if hazing was the result for another 10-12 weeks explained by Sheri Blanton, a forensic coordinator for the medical examiner. In response the president of the University, James Ammons, suspended the marching band, Marching 100, from practice and performances until the cause of death is revealed. Four months premature baby boy Kian, warrior in Gaelic surprised everyone in Melbourne when he was born. This lucky baby was delivered in a Angliss Hospital toilet bowl Tamara Richardson underwent no contractions and haven’t had the slightest idea that she was about to give birth while on the toilet until she looked down and saw her baby inside the bowl. “I didn’t even know he had come out. I panicked and pressed the emergency button,” Richardson said. The nurses scooped him out of the toilet, cut the cord, and resuscitated the newborn for seven harrowing minutes. Mrs Richardson rushed to the hospital on March 6 when her water broke just 21 weeks into her pregnancy. Somehow the baby managed to stay inside the womb for another two weeks before making his surprise arrival on March 22. He was just 33cm long and weighed only 695 grams. Brain scans show no damage and the now three-week-old baby is perfectly formed. He will have to spend at least another four months in a humidity crib until his weight reaches a healthy 1.8kg.
