Everybody’s favorite Basketball Wives star Draya Michele took to Snapchat yesterday to show off her homemade dinner, and the general response from Twitter was that she should stick to swimsuit modeling. Draya’s dish consisted of (as far as we can tell), ramen, egg and some boiled zucchini. It seems she knew the dragging that […]

Patti Labelle Admits Viral Video Helped #PattiPies Sell Out After denying that flamboyant pie reviewer James Wright Chanel had anything to do with the overnight success of her $3.49 sweet potato pies, Patti hit up a Good Day Philadelphia to change her tune. She admitted that Chanel literally singing the praises of her #PattiPies is what has them flying off the shelves at Wal-Mart at lightening speed, and said that as a result, he will be joining her for Thanksgiving dinner this year to taste some more of her homemade cuisine. You know we like breaking talent first… Tell the world your name and where your from? My name is LettaJ. I’m originally from Dallas, Texas but currently live in New York City. How long you been doing music?.. I’ve been singing my entire life, like literally since I was 4 years old. My parents are both pastors so I started singing in church really young and I started writing songs when I was 8. Thirst Trappin is genius how did you decide to do a song with a concept like that? I was editing video with a friend and he was off task looking at my instagram.(lol) He came across a pic that he thought was sexy and said, “you stay thirst trappin.” I thought it was so hilarious, I couldn’t get it out of my head. So, I posted a pic and hash-tagged it #thirsttrappin. It got mad likes and the next thing I knew, I had written a song about it. And the rest is history! ha How does social media effect the work today in your eyes ?… It’s a huge part of the connection to my fans. I think social media makes people feel like they get to know you without actually knowing you and as an artist you want that. You want their thoughts and for them to come out to a show and give you a hug because that’s what its about. So, I create music that is relatable and real enough to constantly connect with the people who follow my musical journey. I include social media in my daily routine because there are people who want to be a part of my daily routine, so why not let them? 🙂 What is your 5 year plan with music? It starts with creating a powerful movement with relevant and well written records. Within a 5 year period, I expect significant success as an award winning recording artist with a discography as a songwriter for films, television shows and great artists. I am a natural entrepreneur, always have been, so I will definitely have businesses that add to my success. But within 5 years I expect to be in a place where I am helping aspiring artists and songwriters achieve their goals and dreams by offering opportunities that help them navigate their way into the industry.I expect to have started a book if not finished one to include in my arsenal of motivational tactics. What are some of the downs in this business as a woman? Well, you deal with a lot of bs but that’s certainly not gender specific. The biggest difficulty is having to be discerning enough to know who is serious and who is trying to sleep with you lol. I’m laughing but I’m dead serious. People will say damn near anything to get laid so being smart but still able to listen is a lot more difficult than it sounds. So, the biggest challenge is learning to balance being a business woman and an artist at the same time. How did you feel about the beef between Drake and Meek Mills? Honestly, I was just disappointed that the world focused more on beef between two wealthy and successful rappers more than black lives mattering. I felt it showed how easily distracted we can be. Who is your favorite female artist? That’s really tough because there are older artist that have influence me so much but if I had to pick an artist now, I would say Jazmine Sullivan because I could listen to her endlessly. If you could assemble a dream team group who would the members be? Wow. Hmmm…well I wish I could bring Sam Cooke and Marvin Gaye back because they would definitely be in my group but I suppose I would want to create a group kind of like the Fugees. So I would want LettaJ (me haha), Chris Brown, Tink and maybe Lacrae in a group. We’re all different and talented in our own ways but so creative…and we’re all songwriters! So I know we would create some of the most amazing music ever. And the execution would be insane!!! What producers would you like to work with?.. I’m a fan of Rock City and I love the originally Pharrell embodies. So, those guys 🙂 What kind of advice can you give some young artist in the come up like yourself? The advise I would give anyone, regardless of their industry (especially young artist) is “What God has for you, is for you!” There will always be people who think they can make or break your career but they can’t. Although the industry is relationship driven, I think it’s important to understand that what is destined for your life, is intended for you. You have to just work hard and be smart enough to go after it and grab it. But understanding who you are, realizing your worth and knowing what you want are among the most important things you can give yourself. Knowing those things will help you stay focused and they will will help you make wise decisions even when it’s tough. Stay faithful, set the bar ridiculously high and work so hard you impress yourself. @lettajmusic
Ahmed Mohamed Demands $15 Million From Texas School District An attorney for the family of Muslim teen clockmaker Ahmed Mohamed is demanding $15 million from Texas school district, along with an apology for how Mohamed was treated when he brought his homemade clock to school according to TIME reports… Mohamed is the 14-year-old Texas ninth-grader-turned-celebrity who was arrested at school after a homemade clock he brought in was mistaken for a bomb. He has since been honored everywhere from Google to the White House. Mohamed’s attorney sent letters to the City of Irving and the Irving Independent School District adding new details and accusations to the story, with the family alleging that authorities “sought to cover its mistakes with a media campaign that further alienated the child at the center of this maelstrom,” the Dallas Morning News reports. The Mohamed’s are asking for $15 million in damages, as well as apologies from key players—the school district, MayorVan Duyne and Police Chief Larry Boyd, alleging “They stoked the flames. They tried to push responsibility off on the victim—Ahmed.” Lesley Weaver, spokeswoman for the Irving school district, said in a statement Monday that the school district’s attorneys “will review the information and respond as appropriate, as with any legal matter,” reports the Ft. Worth Star-Telegram. Attorneys for the family said they would give the school district and the city 60 days to comply before filing a civil lawsuit. Do you think Ahmed should get millions for his homemade clock??
Coast Guard Seizes $181 Million Worth Of Cocaine Found In Sub The U.S. Coast Guard seized 12,000 pounds of yayo worth an estimated $181 million when it intercepted a semi-submersible vessel in the eastern Pacific Ocean last month. Via CNN : The 40-foot long homemade vessel was spotted July 18 by a U.S. Navy aircraft, which called the crew of the Coast Guard cutter Stratton to a spot 200 miles south of Mexico, the military organization said. Four men were taken into custody and the Coast Guard discovered 16,000 pounds of cocaine aboard. Six tons of cocaine were removed while two tons were left on the sub to help balance it as the Stratton tried to tow it to shore. But the homemade vessel took on water and sank. It went down in 13,000 feet of water in international waters. The Coast Guard said the bust was the largest ever semi-submersible interdiction in its history and it was the first time one of its ships had recovered two subs on one patrol. The California-based Stratton also seized 5,400 pounds of cocaine in June. Looks like some folks are going to have to party without that white girl this weekend….
I have decided that I like my celeb bikini pics with a narrator…..but only because the paparazzi agencies hate the fuck out of me and if I was to post these on my site without paying them their 1000 dollars or more…they’d try to sue me and I don’t need that kind of drama since life has already sued me and taken me for all I’ve got…so now I have my bikini pictures in video with some asshole trying to sound like TMZ, something I hate more than most things, cuz the irritating get under my skin and makes me want to do crazy things, like find the asshole with this voice and rip his throat out, or welcome these suicidal thoughts with open arms…”hello old friend, yes, let me come with you to avoid the fact that assholes like this exist”….kinda thing….. Yes I know these pics are from the other day, I do this thing all day asshole…I just wasn’t allowed to post them….
I am not the kind of guy who’s into girls cumming…because it means they are having too much fun with me…and no girl…not even the most desperate should ever be that into letting me inside her…it makes me unable to enjoy myself…knowing she’s that crazy in her head…but I like the concept of a bitch cumming…maybe cuz I am convinced it is a myth…that it never happens…that it doesn’t fucking exist…or maybe cuz I know that when it does happen…the girl is likely doing it to herself…in her bath, shower, bed…and that’s hot….but not as hot as when they do it by getting naked and taking pictures for me to experience it with them…see cuz I’m a voyeur…but unfortunately the only naked pictures of bitches I get to see are models who do it for fashion and money…and I guess it’s not all bad…even if I prefer the homemade kind…cuz without them…I’d never know what hotness looks like unclothed…. Her name is Eliza Cummings…she’s naked for a fashion shoot….she’s an up and coming model…doing good to get noticed…here are the pics.
Among the many stream of consciousness topics Kanye West brain-dumped in his epic Twitter session Wednesday night — his professional frustrations, his fashion aspirations, his new design company aimed at picking up where Steve Jobs left off — was a brief mention of one curious film project in particular. “I was just discussing becoming the creative director for the Jetson [sic] movie and…” Wait, WHAT? The Jetsons , as in the long-gestating live-action Jetsons movie? And Kanye would have a hand in making this happen? Mr. West, you’ve got my attention now. If Kanye’s Jetsons project is the one I think he’s talking about, it’s the live-action reboot that’s been kicking around for years, once scripted by Adam Goldberg ( Fanboys ) with Robert Rodriguez attached to direct. Rodriguez went on to make Spy Kids 4 instead and the project hasn’t surfaced much since, so West’s Tweet is the first indication in a while that the thing’s actually back on track. Unfortunately, details on what exactly this “creative director” position would be were lost in West’s Tweet-crazy haze of thoughts on the creative process and the limits celebrity have imposed on his artistic freedom, or whatever. “Being a celebrity has afforded me many opportunities but has also boxed me in creatively,” he wrote, also noting that he hasn’t bought new jewelry in two whole years. See? You don’t know Yeezy! But anyway, those Jetsons plans: I was just discussing becoming the creative director for the Jetson movie and someone on the call yelled out.. you should do a Jetsons tour! This just happened a few hours ago. I was very insulted of course becuase for anyone that’s seen the Watch the Throne Tour… Or Coachella or Glow in the Dark or Runaway.. you know I have real ideas… Not that West seems to be interested in anything but forward momentum, but a Jetsons movie along the aesthetic lines of his space-toony Takashi Murakami-designed Graduation album would be kind of awesome. In the least, it would make the very idea of a Jetsons reboot vaguely palatable. But while that idea would be cool and all, how can West possibly fit that in with the huge world-changing plans he Tweeted out last night, which include:
This was, oh, five years in coming , but the long-time Village Voice film critic J. Hoberman has been let go from the paper. Fun fact: Hoberman’s 34-year relationship with the Voice commenced with a high-low glimpse at David Lynch’s experimental blast Eraserhead (” Eraserhead ‘s not a movie I’d drop acid for, although I would consider it a revolutionary act if someone dropped a reel of it into the middle of Star Wars “) and concluded this week with a high-low glimpse at Ken Jacobs’s experimental blast Seeking the Monkey King (“This homemade slingshot has the capacity to resist and pulverize the idiotic visual aggression of a commercial behemoth like Transformers . It’s a ’60s vision happening today—beautiful, terrifying, and determined to storm the doors of perception”). Anyway, don’t sweat it, he’ll be back. [ Capital New York ]
