Jennifer Aniston Calls New York Gay Marriage Vote ‘Unbelievable’

‘Horrible Bosses’ co-star Jason Sudeikis suggests to MTV News that Jay-Z add a new verse to ‘Empire State of Mind’ after Friday’s passage. By Eric Ditzian Jennifer Aniston Photo: MTV News In the hours after New York’s historic passage of a same-sex marriage bill on Friday, the Stonewall Inn in Greenwich Village, the site of the riots in 1969 that galvanized the gay-rights movement, became a euphoric gathering place for supporters to celebrate the development on the eve of Gay Pride Week. The news reverberated around the globe, with celebrities like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Ellen DeGeneres sharing in the excitement. And the next morning in midtown Manhattan, just a few miles away from Stonewall, the stars of the upcoming comedy “Horrible Bosses” were nothing short of ecstatic about the events. “It’s great! I thought it was unbelievable,” Jennifer Aniston told MTV News. “So exciting in this time and that it happens to be Gay Pride weekend. What a great weekend.” Aniston went on to joke that she could end up taking a trip down to Stonewall to see the action up close. “I might,” she teased. “It won’t be crowded.” “Saturday Night Live” star Jason Sudeikis said the gay-rights bill is great news for everyone — except one man: “The only person I feel bad for is Jay-Z, because he’s going to have to write a new verse for that song, ‘Empire State of Mind,’ because New York just got a little more kick-ass!” Those sentiments echoed what celebs had been saying for hours on Twitter. “NEW YORK! I [love] U! You’re OFFICIALLY the coolest place on the planet!” Perry tweeted. Gaga chimed in on Twitter, “Rejoice New York, and propose. We did it! The revolution is ours to fight for love, justice + equality.” Share your reactions to New York’s same-sex marriage bill in the comments below. Taylor Swift Is ‘A Pretty Normal Girl,’ Emma Stone Says

At the country/pop star’s urging, Stone talks about her secret baking skills during MTV’s Sneak Peek Week. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Emma Stone Photo: MTV News Emma Stone and Taylor Swift are best gal pals. Stone has opened up about Swift in the past, revealing that the superstar “has such a sick sense of humor,” and when Stone sat down for a Q&A about “The Help” during MTV’s Sneak Peek Week , she divulged a bit more about their relationship. So is Stone digging Swift’s latest album, Speak Now ? “I am indeed. I was lucky enough to hear it pretty early on, so it’s so exciting for it to be out and own the songs instead of just be singing them [in my head],” she dished, sharing that just because Swift is one of the biggest pop stars in the world doesn’t mean she’s at all critical of her friends who can’t sing as well as her. “Taylor’s a pretty normal girl,” Stone said. ” … She’s not [like], ‘I am one of the world’s most popular singers.’ ” Stone’s kind words came shortly after an email was read to her from her superstar pal who wanted to know more about her love of baking. “I’ve been baking at least once a day,” she shared, revealing some of the sweet treats she’s been making the past few months. While she’s got some sweet skills when it comes to confections, when she attempts to bake for a large group, the results aren’t as delicious. “I made 60 biscuits once for a party,” she said. “They didn’t turn out so great, though. I think in bulk I’m a little subpar.” Will wizards, vampires or dream thieves steal the 2011 MTV Movie Awards ? Find out June 5, when the 20th annual show airs live at 9 p.m. ET/PT. Paramore Roar Back With New Single, ‘Monster’

Band’s first song since the departure of Josh and Zac Farro seems to address breakup. By James Montgomery Paramore Photo: Jordan Strauss/ Getty Images “You” can be a worrisome word. A weighty one. By its very definition — “the one or ones being addressed” — it is up for interpretation, and when it’s used in a song, things get even more muddy. Does “you” refer to the listener or the public at large? Does it take the place of the subject of the lyric, someone who has wronged, inspired, doubted, betrayed the writer? Or does “you” even have to be a person? Couldn’t someone “want” or “love” a refreshing beverage or an old car or, you know, drugs? Shoot, now that we’re on the subject, maybe we’re never supposed to figure out who or what “you” is referring to (the classic example, of course, being Carly Simon’s “You’re So Vain,” which is apparently about Warren Beatty … or David Geffen … or David Bowie, depending on whom you ask). I only bring this up because in Paramore’s brand-new song “Monster,” which premiered Friday on the band’s official

‘Twilight’ Star Jackson Rathbone Sings Movie Awards Best Line Noms

Jackson Rathbone picks up his guitar and plucks through lines from Justin Timberlake, Emma Stone and more. By Ryan J. Downey, with reporting by Eric Ditzian Jackson Rathbone Photo: MTV News If this whole “Twilight” thing doesn’t work out, Jackson Rathbone could have a great career translating movie dialogue into catchy little jingles for big awards shows. What better way to introduce a new category at the MTV Movie Awards than with song? And who better to turn one of the categories into a hummable tune than the multitalented Rathbone? When the 26-year-old actor isn’t occupied with all the thrilling engagements and obligations involved with being part of the massive “Twilight” franchise, he can be found rocking with his band 100 Monkeys . The man widely known as Jasper Hale in “The Twilight Saga” is a multi-instrumentalist capable of shredding on guitar, bass, drums, keyboards, mandolins, trumpets and harmonicas. During a break from shooting a new movie called “Live at the Foxes Den,” in which he plays a guy who quits a major law firm to become a singer, Rathbone was kind enough to strap on an instrument and put all the 2011 MTV Movie Awards Best Line from a Movie nominees to song. Watch as Rathbone sings (and strums along with) some of the most memorable dialogue of the past year from blockbusters and Oscar contenders, including lines from Jessie Eisenberg in “The Social Network”; Justin Timberlake and Andrew Garfield in “The Social Network”; Tom Hardy in “Inception”; Amanda Bynes and Emma Stone in “Easy A”; and little Alexys Nycole Sanchez in “Grown Ups.” Check out the video and then be sure to vote for your favorite line .
