It’s been a very hard week for the Biermann family, as Real Housewives of Atlanta star Kim Zolciak and husband Kroy’s son Kash recently underwent surgery following a serious dog bite. In an effort to stay strong as a family, Kim has written a heartfelt note to her hubby, thanking him for being an extraordinary father and partner through the best of times as well as the worst. The 38-year-old mother of six took to Instagram to show her appreciation, sharing a photo of Kroy side-by-side with their child on a stretcher in the hospital. “I don’t know what I would do without you @kroybiermann. Kash just got out of surgery in this pic and he was heading to his room. He woke up looking for his daddy.” [ wetpaint ]
It’s been a good few years for TV revivals, huh? Netflix has brought back shows like Arrested Development and Full House, as well as the limited run of Gilmore Girls, and various television networks are reviving The X-Files , Twin Peaks, and Will & Grace. Considering all that, it’s easy to look back at some of the best TV shows of yesteryear and think about which ones deserve another shot, you know? And few shows could use another go-round as much as Roseanne. Roseanne, the blue collar sitcom created by legendary comedian Roseanne Barr, ran for nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997. It was full of great moments, great actors … all in all, it really was a wonderful show. And that’s why, joy of all joys, a revival is in the works ! The new series will last for eight episodes, with Roseanne and Sara Gilbert, who played Roseanne’s daughter Darlene, signed on as executive producers. Roseanne, Sara, and John Goodman are the only actors signed onto the project so far, with other stars like Laurie Metcalf and Johnny Galecki still in negotiations. Right now there’s no official deal, but networks like ABC and Netflix are bidding on the rights to the revival. It’s all so exciting, right? And honestly, it’s a little confusing, too. For one, John Goodman is returning, but — spoiler alert — his character died in the series finale. Or, well, actually he died in the season 8 finale, but in the series finale Roseanne revealed that the entire final season had been a figment of her imagination, which went into overdrive as she mourned the loss of her husband. She also explained that several elements of the series weren’t actually true: her sister, Jackie, was a lesbian, and her daughters had really ended up with each other’s spouses. See what we mean about it being confusing? To add another element of confusion, in a 2009 blog post, Roseanne gave an update on where she felt the characters would be today. In the post, she said that the Roseanne character, along with Jackie, opened up Landford, Illinois’ first medical marijuana dispensary, saving the house from foreclosure (remember, they never won the lottery). She wrote that “David leaves Darlene for a woman half his age,” then “Darlene meets a woman and they have a test tube baby,” which doesn’t take into account that in the finale she said that David actually ended up with Becky. (And also David would never .) Becky “works at Walmart,” and Mark “dies in Iraq,” which is especially tragic since the actor that played Mark, Glenn Quinn, died from a heroin overdose in 2002. DJ “gets published,” and Dan, who supposedly died of a heart attack at Darlene’s wedding? He “shows up alive after faking his death.” It would be bizarre if the revival followed this storyline, but Roseanne is the show’s creator, and it would explain how John Goodman is signed on to return. But really, whatever happens, we’re definitely looking forward to a return of Roseanne. Especially if it somehow eases the pain and confusion of that last season. Troubled Teen Rapper Fighting For His Freedom And For Custody OF His Son The lawyer for rapper Kodak Black told fans that him serving prison time for violating his house arrest was unlikely. A Florida judge this week found that Kodak – real name Dieuson Octave – violated the terms of his probation by leaving his house to travel to a strip club. A bartender there, Jennifer Cunningham, accused him of battering her, but the judge found him innocent of those charges. Because of the probation violation, Kodak now faces a maximum of six years in prison, but his lawyer Raven Ramona Liberty said that’s not the only punishment option that’s on the table. The punishment options include reinstating his probation, extending or modifying it, or prison time. She said that Kodak’s own probation officer hasn’t recommended that he serve prison time, but get counseling and attend anger management classes instead. He is due back in court next week – the same date he’s supposed to start a national tour with the Migos and Tory Lanez. “I have the utmost faith in God that he will be out on the fourth and will start the tour,” Liberty said, adding that the rapper is only 19 years old. “Fortunately he has the money to pay for attorneys. But this happens all the time to young men in his situation. I don’t think sitting in jail is the correct punishment.” Meanwhile, the “Tunnel Vision” rapper is simultaneously fighting for joint custody of his two-year-old son, King Khalid. Kodak recently filed paperwork in that case, to punish his baby mama Jammiah Broomfield, for lying about being “indigent” and benign so poor that she couldn’t afford the less than $300 in filing fees to fight the case. Broomfield recently filed a financial affidavit admitting she bought a new BMW, which poo-poos her poverty claims, Liberty said. The mom has also asked for more child support, Liberty said. A judge will hear that case later this summer. Instagram
Last week, 19-yr-old Juwan Alexander Plummer was arrested after opening fire and shooting 2 Detroit police officers who were investigating a burglary. The police officers were investigating a burglary call at a house across the street from Plummer’s but decided to go his house, too. When they attempted to get into Plummer’s house, he opened fire striking the cops giving them non-fatal wounds. The teenager’s family says he thought the police were burglarizing his house, but police have charged him with intentionally firing on them regardless of the accident claims. Kim Zolciak can be a mighty ridiculous human being , and usually when we talk about her, it’s to poke fun. But what happened to her and her family this weekend is no laughing matter. As Kim revealed in a lengthy Instagram post earlier this afternoon, her four-year-old son, Kash, was attacked by a dog, and the poor little boy was seriously injured. “I don’t know where to start,” she began her post. “The last 14hrs of our lives has been a living nightmare.” “My sweet @kashbiermann was bit by a dog and had very traumatic injuries. I’ve never prayed so hard, or been so scared in my life.” Kim continued “My husband, our daughters, Kj, Tracey, his nanny, Michael Beck and everyone close to us all pulled us together and held each other up.” To really hit the tragedy home, she shared a heartbreaking picture of Kash with his father and Kim’s husband, Kroy Biermann, as he laid in a hospital bed. Poor Kash had such terrible injuries that he required surgery — she explained that he “was in the operating room for a couple hours,” and that “now we are praying for a quick speedy recovery.” Kim was set to appear on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live tonight, but she won’t be able to make the show, for obvious reasons. Still, ever the professional , she said that she’ll “do my best to make it up very soon!” Kim closed her post by thanking her family, friends and fans for praying for Kash, “and most importantly Thank you God for your protection.” Thanks to the “incredible medical team” that’s helping Kash with his injuries, she said that he’ll be able to come home after spending a few days in the hospital recovering. Kim hasn’t explained what exactly happened, what dog attacked her son or why, or what injuries he’s suffered. Understandably so — we’re sure she’s got enough on her plate right now without filling the masses in on every horrific detail. But for once, instead of the comments on her Instagram posts filling up with plastic surgery accusations and general nonsense, it seems her followers are wishing her and her family all the best. View Slideshow: Kim Zolciak Body Selfies Even on Kash’s own Instagram account, which isn’t very active on account of him being four years old, people are rushing to offer him prayers and “get well soon” messages. Kim was right — this really does sound like a living nightmare.
A few shocking new details regarding the suicide of Aaron Hernandez have reportedly been brought to light. According to an article in Newsweek, the former New England Patriots tight end and convicted murderer left three suicide notes this week prior to hanging himself in prison. One was to his fiancee. One was to his daughter. And the third was to his boyfriend in jail. All three hand-written messages were placed next to a Bible in Hernandez’s solitary prison cell in the Souza Baranowski Correctional Center in Shirley, Massachusetts. The Bible was opened to a section of the New Testament, John 3:16, which reads as follows: “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only son, that whosoever believes in him would not perish but have eternal life.” As previously noted, Hernandez had scrawled this same verse on his forehead with red ink, while also making marks on his hands and feet with that red pen. It was as if the disgraced athlete was mimicking the stigmata associated with the crucifixion of Jesus Christ. The Newsweek continues: The 27-year-old ex NFL star – who was serving a life sentence without the possibility of parole for a murder he committed in 2013 – proceeded to jam the track of his cell door with cardboard to make it difficult for guards to enter. He also slicked the floor with liquid soap and shampoo. For what purpose? Investigators believe he did this make it harder for him to back out in case he lost his nerve. Hernandez then wrapped his bed sheet around his neck numerous times and tied one end of it to a bar on the window of his cell. A guard saw Hernandez’s dangling body around 3 a.m. on Tuesday; he was then transported to UMass Leominster hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:07 a.m. View Slideshow: Aaron Hernandez Commits Suicide; The Internet Reacts Hernandez was convicted in April of 2015 for shooting and killing his friend, Odin Lloyd. There was plenty of evidence to convict the former University of Florida standout, but his motive for the crime remained unclear. Now, however, interviews with multiple law enforcement officials closely tied to the case say Lloyd had information the football star did not want out: That Hernandez was bisexual. Ernest Wallace, a co-defendant in the Lloyd murder case, told detectives the victim had called Hernandez a “schmoocher,” which was translated at the time by Hernandez and his friends as a gay slur. Wallace, who is in prison for helping Hernandez get rid of the Lloyd murder weapon, also allegedly told his cousin during a jailhouse visit that he would not have assisted with this crime if he had known Hernandez was a “limp wrist.” Source tell Newsweek that Hernandez penned his third suicide note to a male lover in jail who is now on suicide watch. This same detailed article claims that Hernandez had a longtime boyfriend prior to being sentenced to prison. He was a high school friend and this man was interviewed extensively by authorities after Lloyd’s murder; he was even forced to testify in front of a grand jury. Law enforcement confirm that Hernandez moved a significant amount of money into three accounts shortly before his arrest for the Lloyd killing: One account was for his fiancée; a second was for his daughter; the third, where the majority of the cash was moved, was for this unnamed boyfriend. Officials have confirmed that Hernandez did, indeed, kill himself. Some people close to the ex-Patriots player have made controversial comments that Hernandez never would do such a thing. They’ve implied a murder is being covered up . But if the details of this latest extensive report are accurate, it may be the case that Aaron Hernandez kept a lot secret from those who thought they knew him well. Aaron Hernandez smiles here with his fiancee. The late tight end is believed to have lived a double life, afraid for years that his bisexual preferences would be made public We may never know every last aspect of his life. But we do know this life is now over. Hernandez leaves behind a four-year old daughter.
