Beverly Hills 90210 Revival: Is It REALLY Happening?

There’s some television news that might finally save Tori Spelling’s marriage . And it could be neat for viewers, too. A revival of Beverly Hills, 90210 is in the works. It’s surprisingly far along, and apparently plans to include a lot of the original cast. Nine months ago, Tori Spelling hinted at some sort of Beverly Hills, 90210 revival. Now, Deadline   reports that this 90210 revival is in the works, with the intention of having many returning cast members from the original series. The first thing that comes to mind, for many, is that Tori Spelling would return as Donna Martin. Then we’d see Jennie Garth back as Kelly Taylor, Jason Priestley back as Brandon Walsh, Ian Ziering as Steve Sanders. We’d also see Brian Austin Green as David Silver and Gabrielle Carteris return as Andrea Zuckerman. For fans of the original series, this is exciting. For those who are too young to have seen it, it could be a chance to learn what all of the fuss was about. This new series is being referred to as a reboot for unknown reasons. Reboots start from scratch and do not share continuity with previous versions. Revivals, however, are continuations within the previously established continuity. As the term “reboot” became engrained in the public consciousness over the past decade or so, many people began to misuse the term. Mike Chessler and Chris Alberghini both worked on The CW’s 90210 series. That show, which ran from 2008 to 2013, was actually the fourth series in the 90210 franchise. The pair are reportedly writing and executive producing this revival series with Ghen Maynard of CBS TV Studios. The show is said to be in the process of being shopped around to multiple networks and at least one streaming service. Multiple platforms are interested in making this happen. It has been suggested that this revival could feature familiar faces from elsewhere in the 90210 franchise. For example, actors from The CW’s take on the show. Could we see AnnaLynne McCord, Shenae Grimes, Jessica Stroup, and Matt Lanter again? (Matt Lanter is again lending his voice to the much-anticipated revival of Star Wars: The Clone Wars announced in July of 2018, but we’re sure he would have time for both) As you may recall, McCord hated how the series ended with such gusto that she filmed her own alternative ending . With that kind of passion, we’d love to see what kind of thoughts she might have on this revival. While many of the names of the OG cast are familiar, one name stands out. Tori Spelling has made headlines time and time again for her difficult life, much of which has to do with her financial struggles. Though her incredibly wealthy mother continues to ensure that Tori’s ever-growing collection of children have everything they need, Tori is another story. A new revival, particularly a successful one, could spell an end — for a while, at least — to Tori’s struggle to make ends meet. That could definitely make her marriage a little easier, too. Or, at the very least, she and Dean wouldn’t be able to blame their troubles on difficult finances anymore. For now, it’s still being shopped. Just because we know who might be involved doesn’t mean that we know what form the show will take. Cast size is determined by budget and scope, not by what people are interested in seeing. Odds are that, if they take this project to streaming — perhaps on CBS All Access, maybe somewhere else — they’ll be able to afford all of the guest stars they want. Also, we’ll have to see which actors can clear their, um, busy schedules. View Slideshow: Beverly Hills, 90210 Cast: Where Are They Now?

Veronica Mars Revival: It’s Happening, Marshmallows!

Kristen Bell currently stars on The Good Place. And it may be the best show on network television. But the beloved actress is about to head back to a wonderful place, a place where she truly became a popular household name. That place is the city of Neptune, California. Following a few weeks of rumors that seemed too amazing to be true, Hulu has now confirmed that Veronica Mars really is returning to the air. The former UPN/The CW drama will air eight brand new episodes on this streaming service in 2019. Series creator Rob Thomas will write the first episode of the revival and serve as an executive producer; while Bell, of course, will reprise her title role in the series. At this point, we need to stop with the official background information and quickly add: EEEEK! YES! WE CAN’T BELIEVE THIS IS REALLY HAPPENING!!!!!! Veronica Mars ran for three seasons and was canceled way back in 2007. The series starred Bell as a high school student who suffered a major personal trauma and then worked alongside her father (or often in defiance of her father) as a private investigator, uncovering various crimes and secrets in her posh home town. The show had such a rabid fan base that a Veronica Mars movie was released in 2014. Along with this incredible revival news, we can confirm the following: – All past episodes of the original Veronica Mars will also be headed to Hulu. Fans can stream seasons 1-3 (as well as the 2014 fan-funded feature film) starting in summer 2019. – A synopsis for the return in general has been released! This is the Hulu logline for the right installments on tap: Spring breakers are getting murdered in Neptune, thereby decimating the seaside town’s lifeblood tourist industry. After Mars Investigations is hired by the parents of one of the victims to find their son’s killer, Veronica is drawn into an epic eight-episode mystery that pits the enclave’s wealthy elites, who would rather put an end to the month-long bacchanalia, against a working class that relies on the cash influx that comes with being the West Coast’s answer to Daytona Beach. It’s unclear right now who else from the original cast will be returning. But Bell is pretty stoked about everything, writing today on Instagram in response to the news: Attention all Marshmallows: BREAKING NEWS!!!!! We are OFFICIALLY back in business!!! A new #veronicamars series is coming back, on @hulu !!!! Veronica has always been a super hero without a Cape. And I think shes exactly what the world needs right now. Thank you to all my fellow marshmallows who stayed excited. Thank you to @hulu for the opportunity. I hope we’re still friends after I taser I you. Revivals and returns are all the TV rage these days, of course. CBS is somehow bringing back both Murphy Brown and Magnum P.I. this fall, while Roseanne was a giant hit for ABC last television season and Last Man Standing will return to the smalll screen later ths year. But whatever. Who cares about those? Veronica Mars will soon air new episodes! Who else is excited?!?

Kailyn Lowry Plans Post-Pregnancy Plastic Surgery: What Will She Have Done Now?

If you watch Teen Mom 2 online , then by now you’re probably already aware that Kailyn Lowry is pregnant. Of course, her third pregnancy has been featured on the show yet, but fans have turned it into their own social media soap opera that now overshadows the events of last season. Most of the online scrutiny has to do with the identity of Kailyn’s baby daddy . Fan theories range from the plausible (It’s probably Chris Lopez.) to the sublimely ridiculous. (There’s a rumor that Kailyn is pregnant by rapper Peter Gunz .) But today there’s a new Kailyn rumor making the rounds, and for once, it has nothing to do with the question of who knocked her up. According to Radar Online, L owry already has a plastic surgery session scheduled for after she gives birth. News of the appointment comes from Dr. Michael Salzhauer, aka Dr. Miami, the same surgeon who performed Kailyn’s Brazilian butt lift  back in January of 2016. “Kailyn is scheduling to have plastic surgery with me after she has this baby,” Salzhauer tells Radar. Citing doctor-patient confidentiality (which he already kinda blew by talking about the appointment at all), Salzhauer refused to go into specifics with regard to what procedures Kailyn is planning to undergo. But tellingly, he did spend a lot of time talking about the relationship between  “There is a myth that you can only have a tummy tuck once you are done having kids,” he spilled. “But it’s not really true. You can have a tummy tuck after your first kid and if you get pregnant you can have another one. The body is amazingly elastic.” So there you have it. We think it’s safe to say Kailyn will be undergoing a tummy tuck following her third pregnancy. Obviously, she’s not alone, as the majority of the stars of the Teen Mom franchise have had some sort of work done over the years. Try watching old seasons of the shows and doing a shot every time you notice a major and unnatural change in one of the girls’ appearance. Actually, don’t do that. You’ll die of alcohol poisoning before you even make it to TM2, and we don’t need that on our conscience. View Slideshow: Kailyn Lowry: Timeline of a Turbulent Teen Mom Life

Roseanne: The Classic Sitcom is Finally Getting a Revival!!!

It’s been a good few years for TV revivals, huh? Netflix has brought back shows like Arrested Development and Full House, as well as the limited run of Gilmore Girls, and various television networks are reviving The X-Files , Twin Peaks, and Will & Grace. Considering all that, it’s easy to look back at some of the best TV shows of yesteryear and think about which ones deserve another shot, you know? And few shows could use another go-round as much as Roseanne. Roseanne, the blue collar sitcom created by legendary comedian Roseanne Barr, ran for nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997. It was full of great moments, great actors … all in all, it really was a wonderful show. And that’s why, joy of all joys, a revival is in the works ! The new series will last for eight episodes, with Roseanne and Sara Gilbert, who played Roseanne’s daughter Darlene, signed on as executive producers. Roseanne, Sara, and John Goodman are the only actors signed onto the project so far, with other stars like Laurie Metcalf and Johnny Galecki still in negotiations. Right now there’s no official deal, but networks like ABC and Netflix are bidding on the rights to the revival. It’s all so exciting, right? And honestly, it’s a little confusing, too. For one, John Goodman is returning, but — spoiler alert — his character died in the series finale. Or, well, actually he died in the season 8 finale, but in the series finale Roseanne revealed that the entire final season had been a figment of her imagination, which went into overdrive as she mourned the loss of her husband. She also explained that several elements of the series weren’t actually true: her sister, Jackie, was a lesbian, and her daughters had really ended up with each other’s spouses. See what we mean about it being confusing? To add another element of confusion, in a 2009 blog post, Roseanne gave an update on where she felt the characters would be today. In the post, she said that the Roseanne character, along with Jackie, opened up Landford, Illinois’ first medical marijuana dispensary, saving the house from foreclosure (remember, they never won the lottery). She wrote that “David leaves Darlene for a woman half his age,” then “Darlene meets a woman and they have a test tube baby,” which doesn’t take into account that in the finale she said that David actually ended up with Becky. (And also David would never .) Becky “works at Walmart,” and Mark “dies in Iraq,” which is especially tragic since the actor that played Mark, Glenn Quinn, died from a heroin overdose in 2002. DJ “gets published,” and Dan, who supposedly died of a heart attack at Darlene’s wedding? He “shows up alive after faking his death.” It would be bizarre if the revival followed this storyline, but Roseanne is the show’s creator, and it would explain how John Goodman is signed on to return. But really, whatever happens, we’re definitely looking forward to a return of Roseanne. Especially if it somehow eases the pain and confusion of that last season.
