Congratulations are in order for Samantha Markle. Despite her expected rude comments in the wake of her half-sister and Prince Harry welcoming a son named Archie into the world on Monday… this bitter waste of television air time is no longer responsible for the most insensitive reaction to the arrival of the Royal Baby. Indeed, that dishonor has firmly been claimed instead by BBC host Danny Baker. A veteran broadcaster in Great Britain, the 61-year old reacted to Markle and Harry debuting their precious newborn to the world yesterday by… … Tweeting a photo of a chimp in a suit holding hands with a smartly dressed couple and writing as a caption; “Royal baby leaves hospital.” The snapshot, naturally, sparked immediate outrage due to the clear racist undertones against Markle, whose mother, Doria Ragland, is African American. Faced with this strongly deserved backlash, Baker deleted the message and said he was sorry the “gag” had “whipped some up.” He then claimed the negative connotations had not occurred to him because his “mind (is) not diseased,” taking the impressively bold approach of accusing critics of racism for pointing out his racism. In a second message, Baker said that the tweet was “supposed to be a joke about Royals vs circus animals in posh clothes but interpreted as about monkeys & race, so rightly deleted. Royal watching not my forte.” On Thursday, the broadcaster said he made an “enormous mistake.” But it was far too late to save his job. “This was a serious error of judgment and goes against the values we as a station aim to embody,” said a BBC spokesperson yesterday, adding: “Danny’s a brilliant broadcaster but will no longer be presenting a weekly show with us.” As you can see above, Baker tried to save face by appealing directly to Meghanm, Harry and their son, writing online: Would have used same stupid pic for any other Royal birth or Boris Johnson kid or even one of my own. But then he also referred to his firing as a “masterclass of pompous faux-gravity” and slammed the network for taking this course of action by Tweeting: “Took a tone that said I actually meant that ridiculous tweet and the BBC must uphold blah blah blah,” he added. “Literally threw me under the bus. Could hear the suits knees knocking. #Fuckem. Ever since the announcement of her pregnancy, Markle has been a target of racist abuse across social media. In March, the Kensington Palace staff announced it would devote a bevy of resources to deleting comments targeting the Duchess of Sussex, and also to blocking abusive Twitter and Instagram accounts. Moreover, the Royal household issued a set of guidelines for people engaging with its social media channels. It’s all very disturbing, but we’re gonna choose to focus on the positive here instead — which is that Archie has arrived! “Mother and baby are doing incredibly well,” Harry said in his first public comments since becoming a father, adding in lovable fashion “This has been the most amazing experience I could possibly imagine. So look, a lot of people have a lot of feelings about Farrah Abraham. And yes, pretty much all of those feelings are negative. It makes sense — after all, she’s not really a likable person . Part of the reason she got fired from Teen Mom OG was because she couldn’t manage to just be civil to the crew members filming her. On television, on social media, in interviews … pretty much every single time we’ve seen her in any context, she’s just rude and nasty and really, really dumb . Even so, there’s always been a few things about Farrah that definitely make us feel some sympathy for her. One of those is the fact that she lost Derek Underwood, her sometimes boyfriend and the father of her daughter, Sophia, when she was pregnant. She wasn’t open about what happened during her episode of 16 and Pregnant and early on in the Teen Mom series, but since then, we’ve been able to piece together what happened. Basically, she and Derek dated for a while, but they often fought and broke up. It didn’t help that her parents didn’t approve of her relationship with him — once her father caught Derek in her bedroom and chased him out of the house with a knife. She got pregnant, but she didn’t tell Derek, and she never got a chance to tell him. He passed away in a car accident just two months before she gave birth to Sophia. It was devastating for her, and understandably so — even if they weren’t together at the time of his death, he was still the father of her unborn child. It would have been a lot to handle, especially for a teenager. Farrah went on to … well, we all know all what she went on to do , but in the years since Derek’s death, she’s never forgotten him. She always keeps his memory alive for Sophia, and since yesterday would have been his 29th birthday, she took the time to celebrate him in a tribute she shared on Instagram. It’s a lot, so buckle up. “To the one very special person I celebrate and remember like no other,” she began. “Happy Birthday Derek I love you, May 8th you would be 29 today, birthdays used to be so simple.” “You gave me that once in a lifetime love of my life everyone so deserves,” she continued, “you gave me so many 1st’s, from virginity, proms, trips, my first ring, you showed me unconditional love, you showed what relationships are, from prom, graduation, to our only child …” “All the events that had happened the entire sequence was one filled with the thrill, love & loss.” Yeah, this barely makes sense, but this is Farrah, and she’s trying, OK? After that, she wrote “Now I share a birthday breakfast in your memory & all our best photos and your childhood photos with our daughter.” “I see all of your messages to me, & your written letters. Kim donned a custom beaded latex Thierry Mugler dress that took EIGHT months to create. “This is the first time in 20 years Mr. Mugler has designed for the House of Mugler,” Kim told Vogue on Monday. “So to come and design this gown for me is such an honor.” “This is about eight months in the making… he envisioned me this California girl stepping out of the ocean, wet, dripping,” she said. And while she definitely conquered the unique, damp look — people could not stop talking about her extremely tiny waist. After Kim strutted her humongous booty and was literally dripping in crystals on the ~pink~ carpet of New York City’s Metropolitan Museum of Art — everyone instantly went nuts. US Magazine reports that former Bachelorette Melissa Rycroft inspired a controversy of her own by criticizing the reality star’s frame . On Monday, May 6 — hours after Kardashian’s appearance — Rycroft posted a side-by-side comparison of Kim’s 2019 and 2015 gala looks. “Not natural … and not something young ones should be looking up to,” the Bachelorette alum wrote in her caption, referring to Kardashian’s hour-glass silhouette. “Not to mention it doesn’t even look right,” she said adding the hashtag #metgalafail. Within moments, Instagram commenters slammed Rycroft over her controversial post. “Girl, I love you, but do we have to call out and shame other women on looks?” one wrote. “Can you imagine if someone did a side by side of you?” another follower asked. “Maybe young girls shouldn’t strive to look like this, but they shouldn’t strive to drag women in side by side pics on the internet either.” “They should strive to love themselves and love others,” concluded that A+ commentary. A third person weighed in writing, “Don’t do this. Women should be able to dress in whatever way makes them feel good!” “She was pregnant on the left. She works out every day and documents it.” “I don’t think it’s up to us to judge her.” Kim’s trainer Melissa Alcantara was not having any of the unnecessary body shaming and took to Instagram to defend her star client. “To make things clear 1. According to Page Six , Hunter is also requesting the famed talk show host pay for their son’s college tuition, as well as “equitable distribution of all personal assets.” Apparently, Wendy has said that she will work to establish an “appropriate amount of child support” as well as “other further relief as the Court deems fair and equitable.” Listen…she’s better than us. As we previously reported , in April Williams filed for divorce from her husband of nearly 23 years, having those papers delivered at 6:30am. Hunter has also been fired as the executive producer of talk show . As we know, there are plenty of reasons for Williams to walk away from her marriage, which includes Hunter allegedly having a decade long affair with Hudson , perhaps even having a baby with her. That, and Williams has been battling with addiction issues , which Hunter’s alleged cheating may have caused her to spiral. Not to mention, there have been accusations of physical abuse, including a report that the police came to their home earlier this year because someone had accused Kevin of poisoning the talk show host . We’ve said it before, and we’ll say it again: We are glad that Wendy is getting as far away from Kevin as possible. Hopefully, she won’t have to pay half of her hard earned money to get him to go away for good. However, the Bronx rapper believes the charges will be dropped once prosecutors see the evidence. Reports TMZ : The rapper’s attorney, Dawn Florio, tells TMZ … Remy has security cameras installed in her house that show she was there at 9:30 PM on April 16 — the same time “Love & Hip Hop: New York” star Brittney Taylor claims Remy punched her backstage during a concert at NYC’s Irving Plaza. We already knew this, but according to Florio … prosecutors were “dumbfounded” in court this week when Remy’s side claimed to have evidence to support she was nowhere near the spot of the alleged assault. Remy’s lawyer’s confident once they review the home security footage, Taylor’s case will be destroyed and Remy will be cleared. Also, Remy’s lawyer claims he has more evidence that Brittney Taylor is trying to pull the jig. There’s more — Florio insists there’s NO surveillance footage from Irving Plaza that backs Taylor’s claim she was assaulted in the green room area … AND Florio says she’s obtained a photo from the night of the alleged assault timestamped hours afterward that shows Brittney with no visible marks on her face. Florio also claims after Remy left her house that night, she stopped at Target to pick up some items for her baby and didn’t arrive at Irving Plaza until around 10:45 PM … 15 minutes before she was scheduled to perform at 11.
