Peaches Geldof, the daughter of world-famous musician Bob Geldof, died Monday in Kent, England. She was only 25, and her father is at an utter loss. “We are beyond pain,” Bob Geldof said in a statement Monday. “She was the wildest, funniest, cleverest, wittiest and the most bonkers of all of us.” It remains unclear how Peaches Geldof died , but it came as a shock. Medical personnel were first called to an address in a small town in Kent over “a report of concern for the welfare of a woman” on Monday afternoon. “A woman aged 25 was pronounced dead by South East Coast Ambulance Service,” Kent Police said later in a statement released to the media. “At this stage, the death is being treated as an unexplained sudden death . Police are working to establish the circumstances around the death.” A rep added that no further details would be disclosed on Monday. Peaches Geldof is best known for her contributions in the fashion and entertainment industries, where she’s worked as a columnist for Elle magazine. She wrote for UK newspapers the Telegraph and Guardian , and also worked as a TV presenter, hosting a series called OMG! with Peaches Geldof . This is not the first tragedy to have affected the Geldof family. Peaches lost her mother, Paula Yates, in September 2000 due to a drug overdose. Peaches Geldof was just 11 years old when Yates passed away, and she later said it was a struggle for her to accept that her mother had died. “I remember the day my mother died, and it’s still hard to talk about it,” Geldof said in an interview with Elle UK in late 2012. “I just blocked it out.” “I went to school the next day because my father’s mentality was ‘keep calm and carry on.’ I didn’t start grieving for my mother properly until I was maybe 16.” Peaches went on to marry rocker Max Drummey, but they split up in 2009 after just six months of marriage and finalized their divorce in 2011. In 2012, she married Thomas Cohen, with whom she shares two young kids, sons Astala, 23 months, and Phaedra, not even 12 months. Cohen released his own statement Monday and said: “My beloved wife Peaches was adored by myself and her two sons Astala and Phaedra. I shall bring them up with their mother in their hearts everyday.” “We shall love her forever.” Along with her husband and sons, Geldof is survived by her father, sisters Pixie and Fifi Trixibelle, and half-sister Tiger Lily Hutchence Geldof. I never imagined that I would marry my best friend. Todd’s been that to me,” Kandi exclusively tells In Touch. “And to have just had the wedding of my dreams, it’s all been so beautiful. Now it’s time to party!” The couple met in 2011, during filming of the fourth season of the hit Bravo reality series and got engaged January 2013. Bill Clinton Says He Loves Being Called The First Black President It’s no secret that former Democratic President Bill Clinton a was favorite among African-Americans during his time in office and he couldn’t be more proud. via L.A. Times Once again, Bill Clinton proved that being an ex-president, surrounded by the rosy glow of the past, beats being the current pilloried resident of the White House. A Wednesday night guest on comedian Jimmy Kimmel’s late-night ABC show, Clinton was tight-lipped about his family’s future political plans, leaving that to Hillary Rodham Clinton to eventually divulge, but embraced his 1992 moniker as the nation’s “first black president” — and the actual first black president. “I loved being called the first black president, but Barack Obama really is,” Clinton told Kimmel, to laughs. Clinton’s historic support among and affinity with African Americans became strained in 2008 when Hillary Clinton and Obama battled to become the Democratic party’s presidential nominee. Clinton pointed to that divide when he said that any differences between his family and Obama were resolved along with that primary fight. “You know, I’ve done what I could — since Hillary lost the primary, we’ve done everything we could to support him,” Clinton said. Then he turned to Obamacare, and pointed out that more than 7 million people signed up for healthcare coverage by Monday’s deadline. Clinton, of course, had battled for his own healthcare proposal when he took office, to no avail. Big Willy love his honorary black card!
Looks like Selena Gomez has bigger problems than a furious Justin Bieber . TMZ reports that cops arrested a man on her property today after he jumped a fence surrounding Gomez’s house. Neighbors noticed and called 911. Police say the man appeared to have no intention of robbing Selena, which has led to speculation that the actress is being plagued by yet another stalker. Selena has a history of attracting the wrong kind of attention through no fault of her own. And no we’re not talking about her relationship with the Biebs. In 2011, one apparently deranged Selena stalker was arrested and ordered to receive psychiatric counseling, but he wouldn’t be the last. Just last month, another man was arrested for sneaking onto Selena’s property, knocking on her door and asking if the celebrity was home. She was, but managed to avoid the man, who was also arrested. It’s unclear at the moment whether this latest unwelcome visitor will be held by police. We don’t know why so many psychos are drawn to Selena (again, we don’t mean Justin), but it’s not hard to see why she’s beloved by the rest of the world. According to Billboard: An undeniable, yet divisive, talent, Vybz Kartel has entered into a career phase his seemingly invincible ego, as the self-designated World Boss, might have never envisioned: a life sentence, handed down today by Justice Lennox Campbell in Jamaica’s Supreme Court. Several roads were closed within the vicinity of the downtown Kingston courthouse in anticipation of today’s sentencing, which was originally scheduled for March 27th. Kartel will not be eligible for parole until he serves 35 years of his life sentence, while Shawn Campbell and Kahira Jones will be eligible for parole after serving 25 years of their life sentences; Andre St. John will be eligible for parole after serving 15 years of his life sentence. On March 13th, Kartel, born Adidja Palmer, was found guilty of the August 16, 2011 murder of his former associate Clive “Lizard” Williams, the outcome of a 58-day trial, which commenced on November 18th, 2013 — said to be the longest in the history of Jamaica’s Circuit court. And on Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta, Tucker confronts Mama Joyce to figure out why she’s so disapproving of their upcoming nuptials. “I really want to talk to you Mama Joyce. I know we’ve had our ups and downs.
