Celebrity chef Nigella Lawson says her ex-husband Charles Saatchi was bent on destroying her after a restaurant argument earlier this year went viral. Testifying Wednesday in a fraud trial against two ex-assistants who once worked for her and former spouse, Nigella made the bombshell allegation. “He said that if I didn’t go back to him and clear his name he would destroy me,” the 53-year-old Lawson told Isleworth Crown Court in West London. Nigella Lawson on Charles Saatchi Nigella Lawson struggled to maintain her composure on the stand as she described the period since her divorce as “a long summer of bullying and abuse.” She told lawyers that her ex, 70, a wealthy global advertising executive and media mogul, threatened her when she balked at appearing in court. Describing Charles, who she alleges choked her in a restaurant , “Yes, he did have a temper and I don’t think anyone can be in any doubt he had a temper.” She also noted that Saatchi “didn’t like to take part in family life.” She added that he would shout and swear at her frequently, confiding in an assistant of their fractured home life: “I don’t know how long I can take this.” The Taste judge also responded to allegations that came this summer from her ex-husband, who alleged Lawson had been using cocaine and marijuana daily. He was forced to refute those charges, testifying last week that he’d never actually seen her use any drugs, despite alleged evidence to the contrary. Lawson said those claims stemmed from a “PR blog” trying to clear Saatchi’s name after he was photographed with his hands around her neck in a restaurant. Moreover, “When I left him I took no money even though I was entitled to it,” Lawson also said, before adding that her independence “used to irritate Mr. Saatchi.” The assistants have been charged with spending more than a million dollars on her husband’s credit card, which they’d had access to for household purchases. The two former assistants have denied the charges.

Nelson Mandela is still holding on… Nelson Mandela’s Family Says He’s “Not Doing Well” Nelson Mandela has been battling a serious illness since earlier this year and his family says that while he continues to stay strong, he’s not doing too well. via Fox News Ailing former South African President Nelson Mandela is not “doing well” but is continuing to put up a courageous fight from his “deathbed,” members of his family have told the South African Broadcasting Corporation in an interview. His daughter, Makaziwe Mandela, told SABC television news: “Tata is still with us, strong, courageous. Even for a lack of a better word …. on his ‘deathbed’ he is teaching us lessons; lessons in patience, in love, lessons of tolerance. “Every moment I get with him I’m amazed. There are times where I have to pinch myself that I come from this man who is a fighter even though you can see he is struggling, but fighting spirit is still there with him.” Mandela spent almost three months in a Pretoria hospital after being admitted in June with a recurring lung infection. The 95-year-old liberation struggle icon was discharged in September and has been receiving home-based medical attention since then. Slater officially announced his engagement to Brittany Lopez back in February 2013 during an appearance on NBC’s Late Night With Jimmy Fallon . “Congratulations, you’re engaged!” Jimmy Fallon said to Slater, who replied, “Yeah, that’s true,” before giving the show’s audience the thumbs-up. Slater said that he met Lopez when he was staying on Florida’s Little Palm Island a few years ago, and it was an unusual way to meet your future wife. “This girl came walking along with another lady, a slightly older lady, and I was sitting in my usual spot eating my oatmeal that morning,” he explained. “So I’m a filthy old man eating my oatmeal and she comes walking along. This spot, I guess, was famous for people proposing to each other, actually.” “It was very, very nice. So she’s there with this old lady and, next thing I know, she gets down on one knee and proposes to this older lady.” “I’d seen a lot of crazy stuff down in the Florida Keys! On Thanksgiving Day, Stewart was seen spotted looking happy as she and a friend walked to a grocery store to pick up some last-minute ingredients. The next day, Kristen was then spotted walking near her dad’s house, and appeared content. A source said “she seemed happy and looked relaxed.” While it’s easy to point finger at Rob’s absence as the source of Kristen’s anguish, because that makes for good celebrity gossip , it’s all very unclear. Remember, this report comes on the heels of others saying that Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are 100 percent back together and serious. The fact that Rob was nowhere in sight could’ve been the reason she was upset, sure … but more likely it means he had nothing to do with it at all.

Ed Kramer, co-founder of Dragon Con, pled guilty to three counts of child molestation this morning in Atlanta, Georgia, over 13 years after the first allegations that he sodomized three young boys were made. As a condition of his plea, Kramer was given 5 years for each count to run concurrently which a judge reduced to 34 months of house arrest , ordered to pay a $100,000 fine to each of his victims, and is required to register as a sex offender. HOUSE ARREST for molestation after avoiding prosecution for 13 years! In October of 2000, two boys, then 13 and 15, alleged that he had molested them while they slept over at the science-fiction conference creator’s house. Just before prosecutors were set to go to trial in 2003, a third young man came forward with allegations of his own which dated back to 1996. Kramer has avoided a trial for the past 13 years citing health reasons which would prohibit him from spending full days in a court room. Doctors have stated that he could only handle up to three hours at a time in court because of his use of a respirator, and that he would require a 90 minute break in between each 3 hour court session, making going to trial nearly impossible. A Gwinnett County district attorney stated in 2010 that he believed much of Kramer’s health complaints to be fabricated to avoid going to trial. Earlier this year, Kramer’s former business partners announced that he would no longer profit from Dragon Con when former attendees threatened to boycott the conference because of the molestation charges. He was paid an undisclosed amount for his share of the conference.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta had Kandi Burruss “Save the Drama For Mama” but if Mama’s not careful her wedding invite might get lost in the mail. We break down all the Mama drama in THG’s +/- review … Goodness knows Mama Joyce was always a little off but the woman was riding the crazy train on the latest Housewives. Minus 25. Poor Kandi. Todd seems like a really good guy. He’s stable and honest and he loves her. Plus 40. But that’s not enough for Mama Joyce. He’s not a millionaire so he must be taking advantage of Kandi because in Mama’s head that’s just what men do. Funny thing is that Mama Joyce seems more concerned about herself than her daughter. Who stomps into someone else’s home and asks why there aren’t more pictures of them up? Minus 11. Then Joyce starts throwing shade on Kandi’s long time friend Carmon making it sound like Kandi’s best gal pal and her fiance are getting it on behind the scenes. Talk about drama. Minus 33. Kandi Burruss should have been showing Mama the door. Plus 42 to Todd who miraculously kept his cool when most people would have lost it. Even when Joyce insulted his choice of engagement ring the man held his tongue and was respectful. That must have taken some self control because I know I was yelling at my TV. Kandi and Todd’s finances, relationship or pre-nups are none of Mama Joyce’s business and Kandi needs to stand up and tell her so before Todd has enough of this nonsense…which would make Joyce perfectly happy and that’s nothing but sad. Minus 15. But Kandi’s not the only one with relationship issues. Phaedra still wasn’t speaking with Apollo as she headed off for Alabama. Perhaps Apollo should beware…she was going to learn how to embalm a body. Maybe she thinks it will come in handy closer to home. Seriously though, Apollo went to Peter for some marital advice and it wasn’t half bad. Plus 18 . Peter pointed out that the last thing Phaedra wanted to hear was how Apollo Nida could have had Kenya if he’d wanted her. The correct answer was, Honey, you’re the only woman I want. Although I agree with NeNe that 13 is way too young to actually date, plus 30 to the parents for getting together to discuss boundaries and showing the kids how to be respectful to one another and the adults. Kenya finally picked out a place to live but does anyone really care? I found it funny how Kenya now called NeNe her good friend because she took an interest in her home search. Minus 12. Girl, NeNe was making fun of your rental in case you hadn’t noticed. And Porsha Williams takes a look at a beautiful condo…but she’s just not ready to move out of Momma’s. Well who would be? Remind us to never buy a house in Ohio. Family Comes Home To Find Stranger Has Claimed House If we came home and found some ish like this, somebody’s head is getting beat to the white meat. According to WLWT: A family in Springdale returned from an out-of-town visit to a dying relative to find someone else had moved into their home of 21 years. Their outrage has now turned into a court battle, pitting them against a man who says he has the court documents to prove the house is now his. WLWT News 5′s Karin Johnson began to investigate and uncovered a dozen cases, all linked to the same man. Robert Carr went into the home on Springdale Lake Drive, changed the locks and emptied the house. The family said when they confronted Carr, he showed them a document he filed with the Hamilton County Court. It’s called a “quiet title” and lays claim to the property because Carr said the family abandoned the house and gave up all rights. Family members said they are too afraid to be identified. “What he’s looking for is full title and ownership of the home,” the family’s attorney, Alison Warner, said. Carr expects to pay nothing to take the home. “I feel violated. (I’m) very scared, you know, because I never know if somebody’s going to be here,” the homeowner said. The family attorney told Johnson the legal fight is adding to a painful year for the family. “This is stress that has fallen on their shoulders out of nowhere, after the death of a loved one and now they’re responsible to answer to this,” Warner said. The family in Springdale called the court fight a nightmare. “It’s really been hard,” the homeowner said. Dayum. WLWT
