At last night's 2016 People's Choice Awards , Furious 7 took home two top prizes, winning for both favorite movie and favorite action movie. It also produced the night's most emotional moment, by far. While the franchise is known for its eclectic ensemble cast, star and producer Vin Diesel took the stage by himself to accept the awards. He wasn't alone in spirit, of course. As you likely know, Diesel's co-star and close friend Paul Walker was killed in a car accident in 2013; his character “retired” in Furious 7 . Given Walker's crucial importance to the franchise, and Diesel's life, his acceptance speech wouldn't have been complete without a tribute. Boy, did he deliver a memorable one. “You know, as I was coming up here, I always do this. I say I'm not going to get emotional about winning these awards,” Vin said. “And I was cool when I was sitting in my seat, and then they handed me two awards,” Diesel told the crowd as he fought back tears. “One for favorite action movie and one for favorite film. You all thought that this was your favorite film. I think of Dom and Brian and I start to think of Paul.” He closed his speech by crooning a few bars from Wiz Khalifa and Charlie Puth's “See You Again,” the hit song from the blockbuster film's soundtrack and one that's come to be closely associated with Walker and his passing. “I thank you so much and the only thing I can say now, 'It's been a long day without you, my friend, and I'll tell you all about it when I see you again,'” Diesel said, the audience roaring as he broke into song. It was a moment that matched any awards show highlight in terms of pure emotion, and it was a tribute that fans of the franchise, as well family and friends of Paul Walker's, will cherish for years to come. Meadow Walker has returned to Instagram. The 15-year old daughter of late actor Paul Walker posted a photo of herself in a bikini yesterday, writing as a simple caption on the social media service: “Glad to be back.” And followers were glad to have Meadow back with fans posting messages to Meadow that told her she looks “great” and should “stay strong.” “Your daddy is always around with you. Stay strong meadow, you’re a warrior,” one user wrote in supportive response. Paul Walker died in a high-speed car crash in November. In addition to losing her dad, Meadow has been at the forefront of a heated custody battle between her mother, Rebecca Soteros, and her grandmother on her father’s side, Cheryl Walker, because she’s the beneficiary of her dad’s $16 million estate. There had been talk initially that Meadow actually witnessed her father’s tragic accident, but those reports were quickly shot down. Two guys were arrested for allegedly absconding with “souvenirs” of the Porsche Paul Walker died in last Saturday … after they decided to Instagram it. Paul Walker Thieves Arrested The accused thieves allegedly grabbed the top of the roof of the Porsche Carrera GT while it was being towed from the accident site to an impound yard. Officials say the two men snatched the part when the tow truck stopped at a red light, though the truck driver saw them drive off and alerted investigators. Astonishingly, one of the goons put a picture of the loot on his Instagram and bragged, “Piece of Paul walkers car, took it off a tow truck at a stop light.” Jameson Witty, 18, was arrested after the police made the connection. His cohort, who is out of state, has been contacted and will surrender soon. Idiots. Witty and his buddy are expected to be booked for felony grand theft and tampering with evidence … totally worth the elaborate heist of scrap metal.
