Howard Stern Tries to Have Phone Sex With Octomom

When Howard Stern had the creator of dial-a-star (dot) com on his show this week, the conversation quickly turned to the roster of peeps that can be called directly for a fee. Yes, there is a site offering this. And Nadya “Octomom” Suleman is one of the people. Howard, naturally, decided to dial Octo up and talk dirty to her. Think NSFW dirty talk people. But, sadly (or luckily), Nadya wasn’t up for phone sex. Listen: Howard Stern Talks Dirty to Octomom Stern shouldn’t be too surprised, really. For an individual who birthed 14 kids, she shows a striking lack of interest in all things vagina. It’s uncanny. This is a woman who would rather go on welfare and get death threats than do one porn scene for a million dollars. She’s just not that into the sex.

Feud Alert: Joan Rivers Calls Chelsea Handler a Drunk Whore

Joan Rivers and Chelsea Handler are in a major feud and Howard Stern is caught in the middle, having hosted the women on his radio show in successive days. Yesterday, in the same interview in which she recalled dumping 50 Cent , Handler was reflecting on her ongoing feud with Rivers. Chelsea’s take, in a nutshell: “What the f**k do I care about Joan Rivers? I don’t think about her ever.” Joan Rivers on Howard Stern According to Joan, the discord began which she claims Chelsea ignored her efforts to say hello at an E! function and was outright rude to her and her daughter. Handler claims Rivers started the feud by making harsh remarks about her in a speech for no reason, unprovoked. It’s unclear what she said allegedly. In any case, Joan appeared on Stern’s Sirius XM show Tuesday morning with daughter Melissa Rivers and went off on Handler, calling her unfunny and worse. Specifically, she alluded to Chelsea’s relationship with E! CEO Ted Harbert. “Number one, the girl made it on her back f**king the president, we all know that, of the network. Number two, she’s fine, she’s ordinary,” Rivers told Stern. “She’s not a genius,” Joan said. “She’s an ordinary girl that was f**king somebody high up in the industry and they gave her a break and she’s doing okay.” “Whatever she is, she’s a drunk. I don’t wish her good luck, I don’t wish her bad luck. I don’t think she’s funny. But don’t you come after me, you wh*re!” Are you Team Joan or Team Chelsea?

Parents Television Council Slams NBC for Hiring Howard Stern

If NBC was aiming to create headlines with its hiring of Howard Stern as a judge on America’s Got Talent , the network can consider its mission accomplished. Of course, not all headlines are positive, especially not that highlighted by the always-grumpy Parents Television Council. Referring to Stern as Stern in a statement as “a performer who is synonymous with shock, profanity and obscenity,” the PTC added: “The once-proud broadcast network has lost its way and has made it clear it holds no concern whatsoever for children and families… Not coincidentally, in just over three weeks the network will be standing before the United States Supreme Court arguing for the right to use the F-word at any time of the day, even in front of children.” What do you think of Stern’s hiring? Will he make for an acceptable judge?

Evanescence’s ‘My Heart Is Broken’: Behind The Video

Second clip from band’s self-titled album is ‘very surreal,’ frontwoman Amy Lee tells MTV News. By James Montgomery, with reporting by Matt Elias Evanescence’s Amy Lee on the set of their “My Heart Is Broken” video Photo: Matt Elias/MTV News Earlier this summer, Evanescence took over a very cramped warehouse in Brooklyn to shoot the back-to-basics video for “What You Want,” the first single from their self-titled (and subsequently chart-topping ) comeback album. For several sweaty hours, Amy Lee and company rocked and roared, performing the song in front of a jam-packed crowd of superfans, most of whom had spent the day queuing up outside, in the heat, just to be part of the production. In the end, all that perspiration was worth it: The ” What You Want ” video was definitely one of the most visceral the band has ever made, capturing both the throttling energy of their live sets and the genuine joy Ev (and their fans) were feeling after four years apart. It was a reunion — a super-charged, super-sweaty one. But now, with their return clicking on all cylinders, Evanescence are prepping the video for “My Heart Is Broken,” the second single from their album. And when MTV News caught up with Lee on the set in Los Angeles, she explained that this time, they’re not going for visceral; they’re going for ethereal. And a lot less sweltering too. “We have an air conditioner this time,” she laughed. “This is going to look a lot different. Actually, I kind of wanted it to be the opposite. The first video, for ‘What You Want,’ was very real, and this is very surreal. ” To help get that surreal feel, Lee explained that she drew inspiration from a decidedly below-the-radar source: the 1988 British fantasy/horror film “Paperhouse,” which stuck with her since she first saw it as a teen. “[It’s about] this girl, and everything that she would draw would come to life in her dreams, and she was creating this dream world for herself. And at first, it was cool, but then it’s like this nightmare,” she explained. “So I sort of thought it would apply, and be cool, to have it be this dream that you’re trapped in. So you’re in a place that, at first, is a magical world, but at the same time, you’re isolated and trapped there, and that’s the reason you want to come back to reality after a time. “We’re playing with fiber optics, and so it’s basically like I’m drawing the world around me from nothingness, and when I draw things with my hands, it’s like they actually come to life,” she continued. “So it’s a lot of fun with creating this surreal dream world, and the guys’ performance is sort of like the dream within the dream, in an abyss of darkness; it’s very cool.” Even though the “Broken” clip delves deep into fantasy, the song itself was actually inspired by a very real (and very awful) situation: sex trafficking. Which is why, Lee said, the idea of being trapped in a nightmare applies so well. A friend of the band’s had started , an organization in New York that helps rescue victims of sex trafficking. “We were having conversations with her, and I was writing at the same time,” Lee said. “And a lot of times when I write, I just sort of make up words, and something will stick, and I’ll be like, ‘Oh, that’s from my subconscious. That’s what I need to write the song about.’ And that sort of happened halfway through. I was like, ‘I think I’m writing about this thing, it’s on my heart,’ just imagining being in such a trapped place and how that might feel, so the song was actually inspired by that idea.” What are you expecting from Evanescence’s new video? Pharrell Williams Tapped For Oscars Gig

Producer will be music consultant on the broadcast. By Gil Kaufman Pharrell Williams Photo: Getty Images It’s a long way from “Drop It Like It’s Hot” to the Academy Awards, but Pharrell Williams is about to make that fantastic voyage. The acclaimed hip-hop/pop producer and N*E*R*D band leader has been tapped to be a musical consultant for the upcoming 84th Academy Awards telecast. According to The Hollywood Reporter , first-timer Williams will be in good company when he cooked up musical cues for the show, as Oscar-winning composer Hans Zimmer has also been asked to work on the show by recently installed show producer Brian Grazer. Zimmer has composed music for more than 100 movies, including “Gladiator,” “Pearl Harbor,” the “Pirates of the Caribbean” trilogy, Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” movies, “Kung Fu Panda 2,” “Rango” and “The Lion King,” for which he won an Oscar. Williams has written songs for a number of movies, including “Knocked Up,” “The 40-Year-Old Virgin” and “Despicable Me.” “Hans is one of the most accomplished and creative film composers of our time, and Pharrell is a phenomenal songwriter with an amazing list of credits,” said Grazer and show co-producer Don Mischer in a statement. “This is an exciting and prestigious collaboration that promises to take the audience on a musical journey.” The two music men join a telecast that has already garnered its share of attention due to the departure of original newbie producer Brett Ratner
last month after the “Tower Heist” director was criticized for using a gay slur at a movie screening and speaking in frank terms about his sexual proclivities on Howard Stern’s satellite radio show. Ratner was quickly followed by his hand-picked show host, comedian Eddie Murphy, who was swiftly replaced by Oscar veteran Billy Crystal. The 84th Academy Awards will take place on February 26, 2012. Aaaand Now Brett Ratner Wants to Ruin The Last American Virgin

A brief tangentially related rant in the middle of RatnerGate : I usually give remakes a relatively fair shake before they prove their worth (or lack thereof), but Brett Ratner’s potential redo of the underrated ’80s teen sex comedy The Last American Virgin , I cannot abide. News of Ratner’s intentions slipped by in his recent Howard Stern appearance, understandably, but he had this to say: “I think I jerked off to [ LAV star Diane Franklin] at least two hundred times.” Please, universe, don’t let this guy ruin the most surprisingly sensitive teen comedy of the ’80s. #RatnerFreeRemakes, anyone?
