Jennifer Hudson Expresses Sympathy for William Balfour

During an interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday, Jennifer Hudson touched on William Balfour, the man convicted of killing her mother, brother and nephew in October 2008. Showing incredible perspective and a capacity for forgiveness, the Oscar winner said she doesn’t entirely blame the ex-husband of her sister Julia for the horrendous crime he committed. “For the most part, it’s not his fault,” Hudson said. “It’s what he was taught, how he was brought up.”

On Good Morning America today, The Bachelorette couple put on a united front … which is probably just their actual front. They’re totes in love. “It’s crazy,” Jef said of reports that Emily Maynard was sexting some other man. “That’s just tabloid stuff … rumors written about us and it’s not true.” “Emily and I are so happy. We’re great, we’re in love and we’re happy.”

Jennifer Hudson has lost 80 pounds . It’s an impressive figure to read, but it’s an even more impressive figure to gawk at. And the former American Idol finalist/Oscar winner has now given followers just that opportunity, releasing a Twit pic of herself flexing… in nothing but lingerie! Hudson included the picture as part of an online pose-off with finace – and professional wrestler – David Otunga and, we must admit, we’re darn impressed. How about you? Study the shape closely and decide: Would you hit it?

Jennifer Hudson, Sister Send Prayers to Family of William Balfour

Not long after William Balfour was found guilty of murdering her mother, brother and nephew, Jennifer Hudson released an email statement regarding the tragedy as a whole. “We have felt the love and support from people all over the world, and we’re very grateful,” Hudson and sister Julia said, extending a prayer “from the Hudson family to the Balfour family” because “we have all suffered a terrible loss in this tragedy.” Quoting Scripture, the Hudson sisters concluded: “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled in them that perish: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of the unbelieving, that the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God, should not dawn upon them (2 Corinthians 4:3-4). It is our prayer that the Lord will forgive Mr. Balfour of these heinous acts and bring his heart into repentance someday.” Balfour faces life in prison, and his attorney plans to appeal her client’s multiple convictions next month.

In a new PSA, A-listers such as Sarah Jessica Parker, Tom Hanks, Alec Baldwin, Michael Douglas, Brian Williams and Bradley Cooper lend their support to a campaign that attempts to bridge the civilian-military divide. Then, last night, she went with ” And I Am Telling You I’m Not Going ,” the iconic single that essentially won Jennifer Hudson an Oscar in Dreamgirls. Lindsay Lohan Involved in Another Nightclub Fracas; Michael Lohan Comes to Her Rescue

The life of Lindsay Lohan is almost too ludicrous to believe sometimes. Last night, the alleged actress returned to the scene of the alleged crime from two weeks ago, when she allegedly got into a fight with some woman. This time, LiLo rolled to The Standard Hotel in Hollywood and went to Smoke and Mirrors, the same nightclub … and got into it with another woman. Lindsay’s friend drove her car to the hotel, with the star in the passenger seat. The driver pulled into the parking garage and promptly hit another car. Witnesses say Lindsay called her sometimes-estranged, oft-jailed father, Michael Lohan, for help, and he dutifully showed up … and then hung out! MiLo took his little girl inside the club and the two chilled for hours, without any alcohol. Cute! It was all fun until some moron had to go mouth off. Around closing time, a woman in the booth next to theirs made a snide comment about Lindsay showing up with her dad. LiLo was far from happy. Lindsay got up and screamed, “Shut the f**k up!” The woman responded by throwing a drink in Lindsay’s face . MiLo grabbed her and bolted for the exit. A day in the life. [Photo: WENN.com]

Rob Riggle to Host 2012 ESPY Awards

The ESPY Awards have tracked down one of the fewest and one of the proudest men in Hollywood to serve as host of this year’s ceremony. Former Marine/ Daily Show correspondent/ Hangover co-star Rob Riggle has been tapped to takeover for Seth Meyers, who emceed this sports entertainment event for the past two years. Other ESPY host have included Samuel Jackson (1999, 2001, 2002, and 2009) Lance Armstrong (2006), Justin Timberlake (2008). “Why me? Straight up sex appeal,” Riggle said in a statement. “I know guys like Justin Timberlake and Seth Meyers are sexy… What can I say, I’m just another link in that sexy chain. I couldn’t be more honored to be the host of the ESPYS! I just hope they let me do my Karate demo!” The ESPYs will air July 11 at 9 p.m. on ESPN. At last year’s ceremony, the Best Female Athlete, Lindsey Vonn, asked to take a picture with Justin Bieber backstage. He obliged, of course.

Happy 33rd Birthday, Kate Hudson!

Kate Hudson turns 33 years young today. She’s a talented actress, a devoted mother of two and a free spirit who often shows up in bikini photos . Talk about the whole package, right? The Something Borrowed star, who welcomed a son, Bingham nine months ago, with fiance Matthew Bellamy, was already mom to eight-year-old Ryder (from her previous marriage to Chris Robinson). And yet she still looks this good: Kate and Matt, who got engaged last year, have been together for several years. He’s a member of the rock band Muse … and cleaned up nicely for the Oscars. Other celebrity birthdays on the calendar today? Ashley Judd (44), James Franco (34) and Maria Sharapova (25). Here’s wishing all of them the best!
