Source: Kris Connor / Getty Exes Jasmine Sanders And Terrence J Back On Better Terms It looks like model Jasmine Sanders still has a huge soft spot for her ex-boyfriend Terrence J after their public breakup last year . Their breakup was prompted by Terrence J being involved in a hit-and-run investigation while he was driving with a lady friend in the wee hours of the night around Hollyweird. Seemingly, the couple broke up right after headlines spread around the accident and fans questioned Terrence’s mysterious lady passenger. Jasmine is sweeping the incident under the bridge, for now. She’s been seen chucking in Terrence J’s comments on Instagram leading folks to believe they’re on better terms. Yesterday she even sent Terrence a birthday shout out on Instagram. Jasmine used an old photo to shout her ex out on IG. Currently, she’s rocking a different hairstyle and spent the week with friends at Coachella. Hit the flip to see.
Source: CBS / CBS Tichina Arnold is clear: Never count her out, because she’s not going anywhere, but up. The actress, known for her iconic role as Pam on “Martin and having a career that has spanned more than three decades, is back on network television playing Tina Butler on the CBS hit comedy, “The Neighborhood.” Acting alongside the beloved Cedric the Entertainer , their freshman sitcom centers on how one African-American family adjusts to a white Midwestern family moving into their predominantly Black Los Angeles neighborhood. The season finale, which airs on April 22, tackles white privilege head-on by using humor to interrogate how Black and white folks get treated in certain spaces i.e a nearby snooty country club. Not surprisingly, Arnold is absolutely hilarious in it and the episode provides us with a much-needed lesson on motherhood, white privilege and the power of friendship. HelloBeautiful sat down with the seasoned actress to talk about the comedy’s finale, the importance of tackling issues of race through laughter and how blessed she feels to be working in the industry that she loves. HelloBeautiful: So, the first season of “The Neighborhood” wraps tonight! How are you feeling? Tichina Arnold: Oh, it feels great. It’s been such an amazing experience to be on this show and tonight’s episode is something special. HB: The season finale focuses on white privilege, which we know can be a heavy topic. Why is engaging in these conversations about race and gentrification with laughter important to you? TA: The show’s concept is loosely based on the life of the show’s creator Jim Reynolds. He was the new white neighbor and knows first-hand what these conversations and experiences look like, so what a better way to teach people and broaden people’s horizons and thinking through laughter? Laughter is great for the soul, it can help usher in life lessons and teach us how to get along and accept each other’s differences. HB: Did the topics from the season finale, especially around white privilege, spark any interesting conversations among the cast? TA: You know, the cast talks about this topic all the time. We’re pretty open and speak about it amongst ourselves, especially at the table reads, which is important. But the key for me is not take yourself too seriously [with the material] because that would make “The Neighborhood” a different show. But we definitely want to ask these tough questions and don’t shy away from them. We also want to know what our viewers think. We love to hear your opinions! HB: Did the topics the show addresses attract you to the role? TA: Most definitely! The idea of gentrification is real to a lot of people, including my own family, my parents. We lived in different neighborhoods that were gentrified by different cultures and it’s a huge change that a lot of people don’t initially accept. They worry about what it’s going to do, will it be good and how will these changes impact them. HB: And rightfully so… TA: Definitely. During the season, we see that Calvin was pretty resistant to that change and with good reason some of the time. [Laughs] But I also kind of see him like Archie Bunker—ignorant to certain things, things he’s never experienced. So it’s a journey for him, but also a means for him to teach others too. In one episode, he explains to Dave [played by Max Greenfield] how his family lived in that neighborhood for a very long time and when the white people moved in and then left, the town went down and the Black residents worked hard to keep it together. Now, that the white people are back, the area got better. There’s a frustration there and these are important points that need to be heard. HB: Speaking of Cedric, you two have such amazing chemistry on the show! TA: It’s been crazy…I’ve known Cedric for a very long time and he’s one of my favorite celebrity friends that I’ve never worked with all these years! So I was pretty excited about being cast with him on the show. It’s all love between us. And having a genuine love and respect with someone right there is a winning combination. You just can’t lose. Source: CBS / CBS HB: For your character Tina, what do you love about playing her? TA: Tina is so open and wants to learn more and that’s magic. I also love the relationship between Tina and Gemma [played by Beth Behrs ]. It’s not often that we see a white woman and a Black woman be friends [as equals] and have this organic relationship. We’ve gotten such a great response to them and it’s refreshing to see people from totally different ethnic backgrounds getting along and having fun with one another. HB: I recently saw that you have Beth have also become good friends in real-life too. TA: Our friendship has truly impacted my life. We have so much fun together and we are not afraid to ask each other questions. If there is something in the script [about white people] I just do not understand, I will ask her, “Beth, what is this? What is froyo?” [Laughs] And she’ll tell me it means “frozen yogurt.” And I’m like, “Oh, that’s a white girl thing.” We just laugh. But she is so kind-hearted and loud and she can even twerk. HB: The two of you are the queens of physical comedy on the show with Beth recently telling PEOPLE that she looks at y’all as Lucy and Ethel from “I Love Lucy.” TA: Ha! I’d say we are more Laverne and Shirley. But we LOVE physical comedy and to be able to do that on this show is incredible. We both were class clowns as little kids and Beth is so fearless. So to be able to act with someone who is the same way as you is amazing. And I can get wild. Like they will tell me on set, “Tichina relax, calm down!” But I can’t help it. View this post on Instagram Missing my @theneighborhood fam So much ! Don’t miss an all new episode tomorrow night! 8pm @cbstv ! A post shared by Beth Behrs (@bethbehrs) on Apr 14, 2019 at 7:38am PDT HB: Why do you love to make people laugh? TA: When I was a little girl, in order in get out of trouble, I used to make my mother laugh so she wouldn’t punish me for whatever thing I had done. Then I realized that I loved to act a fool and make my family crack up. I truly believe that laughter is a wonderful gift and helps us live longer. HB: So…good news: “The Neighborhood” got picked up for a second season! Congrats. TA: Thank you! We were so happy and shocked, because with TV you just never know! But we’re ready for next season. HB: If you could have anyone guest star next season, who would it be? TA: Ooooh… Rita Morena ! I was able to act with her in “Happily Divorced.” She’s fantastic. Also, Garret Morris —who was on “Martin” with me and “Two Broke Girls” with Beth. It would be a little family reunion! We had Marla Gibbs on the show before and I like people like Marilu Henner (from “Taxi” and “Evening Shade”), actors who are established and have had long careers on TV. It’s always good to see them still working, because trust: Actors love to work. View this post on Instagram Try to #BeHappy with who you are… just ignore your friend screaming while you do it. Lmao at @johnnywright220 A post shared by TICHINA ARNOLD (@tichinaarnold) on Mar 26, 2019 at 6:56am PDT HB: Finally, looking at your 36-year career, did you ever expect you would be here? TA: I was pigeonholed for a minute in my career and not a lot people know that I wasn’t always working over the years. It was hard, but that’s the nature of the business. You have to keep proving yourself over and over again and through the work. For me, I always knew that I had a gift to give to the world and I never gave up. And in show business, you have to love it, even when it doesn’t love you back. You just keep going on, and here I am. The Neighborhood Season 1 finale airs Monday, April 22 at 8/7c on CBS. Last week, fans were stunned by the news that Adele and husband Simon Konecki have split . After nearly a decade together, they’re parting ways … and the couple did not have a prenup before they married. How much of a windfall is Simon going to get after divorcing one of the wealthiest musicians on the planet? Adele has been one of the wealthiest musicians on the planet for years. She has an estimated net worth of $180 million. It is widely understood — which means believed but unconfirmed — that she and Simon never signed a prenuptial agreement. A quick point of order, all marriages effectively have a “prenup” in the form of the divorce laws of the local government. Anyone getting married should look up how assets are divided upon divorce before they get married. If they don’t like what they read, they should get a prenup. They’re not just for rich people. In the case of the UK, there’s a general rule for how property and wealth is distributed. In the UK, divorce generally sees assets divided 50/50. That could mean that Simon could be on the receiving end of a whopping $90 million. However, there are a few factors that may mean that he gets a smaller windfall. One, UK courts are not immune to nuance. They are not forced to divide things 50/50 and may distribute differently according to fairness. Two, by all accounts, the split between Adele and Simon has been largely amicable. Recent reports show that division of property is already underway. Documents reveal that Adele sold the couple’s $3,900,000 home in the UK in February. A month earlier, she had transferred ownership of a home in L.A. to Simon. It may be that the two of them have worked out a fair division between the two of them. (Notably, Simon is also a businessman and entrepreneur — he’s not a trophy husband, as some had assumed) This could greatly reduce personal stress — and it would also be to the benefit of their child. Adele and Simon began dating in the summer of 2011, just under eight years ago. The couple welcomed a son, Angelo, in 2012. Angelo will turn 7 years old in October of this year. Adele and Simon have been intensely private about their relationship and their son. Fans had to guess her child’s name when she was spotted wearing a necklace that reads “Angelo.” And the world only knew that she and Simon had married when they were seen with wedding bands in January of 2017. “They tried everything in their power to stay together,” an insider tells RadarOnline . “But in the end,” the source laments. “The time they were spending apart became too extreme.” “Simon has no interest in red carpets, showbiz parties, or being on the scene,” the insider explains. “Whereas Adele has been back in the recording studio of late,” the source notes. “And is ready to get out and mingle again.” “She has a great social circle with a bunch of strong Hollywood women who love her for her humor and down-to-earth ways,” the insider adds. One of those women is Jennifer Lawrence, who was reportedly one of the first individuals told about the split. Adele and Simon released a simple and succinct joint statement. “Adele and her partner have separated,” the statement began. “They are committed to raising their son together lovingly,” the note affirmed. “As always,” the absurdly short note concluded. “They ask for privacy.” View Slideshow: 19 Most Expensive Celebrity Divorces Ever: Where Does Jeff Bezos Rank?

If you talk to the students, the feeling for Spelman, the feeling for HCBCUs and the support that Honda gives them is all a part of the pride that they feel.” Florida A&M University, Jackson State University and Morehouse College rounded out the top four. The competition, which has been in existence for 30 years, was created as an avenue for Honda to make an impact in the lives of students who attend historically Black colleges and universities. “Through HCASC, students are given an opportunity to demonstrate the value of their HBCU experience, represent their schools on a national stage, and connect with like-minded peers,” Steve Morikawa , VP of Corporate Relations and Social Responsibility, American Honda, said in a statement. “We look forward to celebrating the HCASC legacy and the friendships we’ve made over the past 30 years.” Through the competition, Honda has awarded $8 million in grants to HBCUs and 125,000 students have participated. A teen from Georgia is turning his tragedy into triumph and is living proof that with hard work and perseverance it’s possible to beat the odds. According to Inside Edition Tre Lawson —a track star who was paralyzed after a car accident—is aiming to get back to running. Tre Lawson is on a mission to run again — and hopefully inspire others in the process https://t.co/9xf5x2SyWH — News4JAX (@wjxt4) April 20, 2019 At one point Lawson, who attended Westside High School, was one of the top track athletes in the country, but things took a tragic turn in 2017. After winning a track meet, he got into a car with a group of friends and the driver fell asleep at the wheel. The vehicle went off the road and crashed. Lawson suffered serious injuries including damage done to his head, abdomen, and spinal cord. He woke up in the hospital nearly a month after the accident occurred. “It was a huge depressing moment. I thought maybe this is the last time I’ll be able to run again, my career is over. I was wondering if the coaches would still be interested in me even if I recover in due time,” he told the news outlet. “Looking at the four walls of the hospital room, you become depressed really quickly.” Although it took a while for Lawson to come to terms with what had happened, he ultimately decided he wouldn’t let his circumstances defeat him. He was motivated to get back on the track. He went through a rigorous rehabilitation program at the Shepherd Center based in Atlanta. Day after day Lawson went hard with his strength training so that he wouldn’t have to be confined to a wheelchair. He recently got back on the track at his high school with a walker and was able to walk 200 meters in 30 minutes. He says that the accident has inspired him to focus on the positive aspects of life. “Every day isn’t a sunny day. You have to have rain in order to have a rainbow some days.” Lawson has launched his own nonprofit organization for patients at the Shepherd Center. SEE ALSO: T.I. Last week, Justin Bieber penned a super romantic poem to his beautiful wife, Hailey Baldwin. Now, it’s Hailey’s turn to openly gush about her love. Hailey’s praise coincides with a new photo of the Biebs after he finally, for the first time in their marriage, got a decent haircut. “My love,” Hailey’s romantic Instagram post begins. She writes what we’re sure is meant to be a string of three heart eyes emojis, but is a disappointed face followed by two heart eyes emojis. “You are an incredible man,” she praises. Hailay adds: “You make me a better human being,” “You make me happier than I’ve ever been,” she raves. Here is the accompanying photo. We’re not (okay, I’m not ) normally the biggest advocate of short haircuts on men, as they’re hugely overdone, but this is an exception. Definitely an improvement over some of the Biebs’ other looks during the past year. He no longer resembles a Swamp Person. “Insanely proud of who you are,” Hailey proclaims. “And,” she adds, she’s a tremendous fan of “who you’re becoming.” Hailey concludes: “I love you more every single day.” Last week, Justin penneda moving, heartfelt poem to honor his stunning wife. After that poem, he switched to prose to heap praises upon her. “Things all around us Just get better with time,” Justin wrote. Notably, they’ve only been married for, what, half a year? They’re arguably very much in the honeymoon phase of their marriage, which is very sweet. Justin gushed: “I fall more in love with you every day!” “You have walked hand and hand with me,” Justin noted. She’s put up with a lot of his shenanigans over the years. Justin wrote that Hailey has been by his side “as I continue to get my emotions, mind, body, and soul [intact]!” That takes a remarkable amount of patience and loyalty. “You have given me so much strength, support , encouragement, and joy,” Justin raved. “I just wanted to publicly honor you,” Justin expressed. In the wise, wise words of Kim Kardashian: it’s what she deserves . “And,” he continued, he wanted to be sure to “remind you that the best is yet to come!” That is very sweet. For both of their sakes, we hope that this is true. Justin concluded his precious message: “Have a great shoot today my love!” Justin and Hailey’s romance is complicated. The two rekindled their love last summer … just a short time after Justin had split with his other most famous ex, Selena Gomez. Within a matter of weeks, Justin proposed to Hailey in public, in front of a crowd of excited fans. She said “yes.” There were a lot of folks (okay, me) who didn’t think that they would make it to the altar. They had dated before. They had baggage. But these two hotties have managed to power on past every obstacle in their path and tie the knot. Clearly, they’re head over heels for each other. We wish them both a (continued) world of happiness.
