Kristen Stewart Threatens To Sue Joan Rivers Over Insult In New Book “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart may get the last laugh as she’s threatening legal action against E! Fashion Police host Joan Rivers for comments made in her new book. via Jezebel Kristen Stewart has allegedly gotten litigious with Joan Rivers — does the Twilight malcontent think this is wise? Rivers told paparazzi cameras (via New York’s Daily News and TMZ) that Stewart’s lawyer contacted her lawyer over the comedian’s a passage in her upcoming book, Diary of a Mad Diva. In the humor project which debuts next month, Rivers writes: “Many stars only do one thing well. Of course, the best one-trick-pony is Kristen Stewart, who got a whole career by being able to juggle a director’s balls.” Naturally, Stewart is upset while Rivers says it’s just a joke. “She obviously didn’t read our disclaimer, which is that it’s a comedy book.” Rivers closed by saying Stewart should be glad she isn’t a Kardashian — today, more specifically Khloé — because they’re mentioned “a lot more in the book” as are a number of other female celebrities like Jennifer Aniston, Lena Dunham and Taylor Swift. The 81-year-old comedy veteran also said that she doesn’t care about Stewart’s legal threat, she’s going to keep the controversial passage regardless. Sounds like Joan might have to cough up some stacks…
With the seventh and final season of Mad Men premiering this Sunday, we thought it would be a good time to relive some of the most jaw-dropping moments from the acclaimed series’ first six seasons. 9 Memorable Mad Men Moments Open Slideshow 1. Lane Price and Pete Campbell Fight Lane and Pete go at it. Lane won the fight but this season, um…didn’t end well for him. View As List 1. Lane Price and Pete Campbell Fight Lane and Pete go at it. Lane won the fight but this season, um…didn’t end well for him. 2. The Sterling-Cooper Lawnmower Incident A tragic mishap in the Sterling-Cooper offices. Well, tragically hilarious, anyway. 3. Betty Draper Shooting Pigeons Betty took her frustrations out on some neighborhood birds. She became a somewhat character in seasons since. 4. Kiernan Shipka as Sally Draper Don’s daughter has had too many memorable moments to choose just one. It’s been a pleasure watching her grow into a sassy teenager. 5. Mad Men: JFK Assassination Scene Mad Men memorably tackled a day that brought the nation to its knees. Just one of many historical events the series has vividly brought to life. 6. Don Draper Hits Rock Bottom Don was a drunken mess for most of season four. He drinks a lot, but now he manages to do his job…for the most part. 7. Peggy Olson Smokes Weed Elisabeth Moss puts her foot down as Peggy Olson. That girl really wanted to get high. 8. Roger Sterling: Drunk For Pearl Harbor Day Every day is an occasion to drink for Roger Sterling. Though he got especially plastered (and bigoted) on Pearl Harbor Day. 9. Don Draper Crying Don broke down and showed his human side after learning about the death of a friend. We’re sure the final season will hold many more emotional moments for Don. Some scenes will never leave out mind (You don’t see lawnmowers in office buildings for a reason, people!), while others we had all but forgotten about (Remember when Betty was a gun-toting badass! Neither did we!) and w ith 78 episodes already in the books, it was no easy task choose just a few favorite clips. Some fans might consider the show’s finest moment to be the unforgettable declaration, “My name is Peggy Olson, and I want to smoke some marijuana,” while we’re certain at least a few others would cast their vote for the time meek Lane Price “kicked the crap” out weaselly Pete Campbell. Part of what’s made Mad Men such an enduring hit among critics and audiences alike is the way the show manages to blend gut-wrenching human drama with jet black humor – sometimes within the same scene. But whether it’s the humor or the heartache that keeps bringing you back to the offices of SCDP, we hope you’ll agree that the scenes in the gallery above reflect some truly stand-out moments from our favorite ad men. And don’t forget: if you need to catch up before the final season you can watch Mad Men online at TV Fanatic!
Ready to meet Connor Smallnut? To promote the upcoming album “White People Party Music,” Nick Cannon took to Instagram last night and posted as a character by this name. A white character by this name, we should say, joking to a follower on Twitter that it feels “great” to be this color because “I’m no longer afraid of the Police!! LOL.” However, after Vanity Fair Tweeted that Cannon’s stunt is “cringe” worthy, the America’s Got Talent host shot back: “Don’t get your fancy panties in a bunch! It’s funny how people take themselves so seriously. People love drama! We feed off of it. Just relax and have fun!!” Cannon then posted a picture of Robert Downey Jr. in black face in Tropic Thunder and wrote as a caption: “This is one of my favorite characters of all time! Hilarious!!! There is a big difference between Humor and Hatred.” True. But remember when Julianne Hough went blackface for Halloween? She faced a torrent of criticism. White People Party Music, Cannon’s second studio album and his first in more than 10 years, drops on April 1. What do you think of his white face stunt? Hilarious! Inappropriate! Who cares?!? LeAnn Rimes either has a great sense of humor or is desperate for attention, depending on your view of this seemingly self-deprecating photo she posted. On Saturday, the star who many have labeled a home-wrecker Tweeted a picture of herself sitting atop a towing truck with “Wrecker Service” on the side: “DON’T OPEN w/o A SENSE OF HUMOR,” the 30-year-old country singer warned her fans. “My dad has a towing service, family business. #havefunw/thecomments.” LeAnn Rimes was still married to Dean Sheremet when she met Eddie Cibrian, who was married at the time to Brandi Glanville, the mother of his two children. Rimes and Cibrian infamously partook in an extramarital affair, leading both to divorce their first spouses before getting married to each other in 2011. Brandi Glanville been quite outspoken about her disdain for her husband’s new wife in the past, but claims that they’re fine nowadays … at least for now. Their flare-ups tend to happen suddenly and without warning, as there’s clearly tension under the surface. Some might even say they even like it a little. LeAnn recently confessed that she “handled [the affair] differently” and “I wish I could have been better for me, for Brandi, for Dean, for Eddie, for everyone.” Yet there are times in which she seems to play UP the feud with Brandi or the fact that her misbehavior in the past has caused sparks to fly on Twitter. Which begs the question we open up to you, THGers: LeAnn Rimes’ “homewrecker” Twitpic … Harmless and funny A little bit desperate View Poll »
How the hell does THIS happen??? Alicia Keys And Swizz Beatz Bring Party To Wrong House In The Hamptons These two must have been lit off something more than Ciroc to not realize that they were in the wrong crib! Via NYPost It sounds like a dream — but a Hamptons resident recently woke up in the middle of the night and ambled downstairs to find Alicia Keys partying in her kitchen. The anonymous woman on Flying Point Road in Water Mill — home to Jason Kidd as well as last year’s Hampton Designer Showhouse — heard partying going on at a palatial home owned by a South African billionaire in the middle of the night. When the bleary-eyed resident headed downstairs to investigate what the commotion was, she found Keys, Swizz Beatz and a party posse in her kitchen. Sources close to Keys confirmed that the “Empire State of Mind” singer and her hip-hop producer hubby rented a home in swanky Water Mill at the end of the summer — but that the couple and their friends accidentally went into the wrong house on Flying Point Road late one night. “They were confused and accidentally entered the wrong house,” a source said. We know the folks in the Hamptons are gettin’ money, but do they not lock their doors??? A Hamptons insider explained: “There was a woman upstairs in the bedroom at the house, and she heard noises downstairs. The woman’s daughter, a recent college grad, and her friends had been ‘pregaming’ earlier in the night before going out, so she assumed that the noise was that they’d all returned home.” Instead she found “a number of strangers, men and women, in her kitchen. She was startled.” Upon closer inspection, the sleepy woman realized her kitchen resembled a late-night VIP area. “At first she was a little freaked out, but it turned out it was Swizz and Alicia and their entourage. They’d rented a house nearby.” Luckily, all parties saw the humor in the mishap, and the woman’s daughter was delighted to later learn about the error. All we can say is that Alicia and Kasseem are lucky this was the wrong house in the Hamptons and not the wrong house in Harlem…a gunshot or two might have gone off. Image via Continue reading →
Poor Justin Bieber. The singer is once again at the center of a viral video parody. Following Jimmy Kimmel making fun of his nude photo scandal, and Chelsea Handler imagining a very dark future for the artist , the following footage has surfaced. It features senior citizens watching various Bieber clips – such as when he was booed at the Billboard Music Awards – and shaking their heads over the star’s antics and ego. He’s only 19 years old and trying to do the best he can? HA, “when I was 19, I was up to here in rice patty water looking for people to shoot,” says one older observer.
