Milo Ventimiglia is once again starring on a hit NBC drama. Unlike his previous NBC drama, however, let’s hope the actor’s latest doesn’t crash, burn and then completely blown up after Season 1. No offense, Heroes. But Ventimiglia plays one half of the couple at the center of This Is Us, an emotional new series that received a full-season order from the network after just one episode. It tells the story of a husband and a wife, played by Ventimiglia and Mandy Moore, along with their three children. The catch, however, (SPOILER ALERT!) is that Ventimiglia and Moore’s characters are alive back in the 1970s, while the story being told about their kids takes place in present day. Viewers average approximately 3.7 hysterical cries per hour, according to a study we just made up. Sitting down with Miley Cyrus , who was filling in for host Ellen DeGeneres, Ventimiglia spoke today about the appeal of the program. “It’s got heart. You know what I love about it? It’s hopeful. There’s a whole landscape of you know, aliens invading planets, and scandal, and this is inherently good.” So there’s another SPOILER ALERT, we guess: No aliens will be invading This Is Us at any point. Not this season at least. Milo Ventimiglia on Ellen Moreover, Ventimiglia went on to say of the series, “it’s inclusive… of, like, race and gender, and age and everything. It’s a great show.” Cyrus gave her guest a high-five over this point. (NOTE: if you need to catch up on this phenomenon, go ahead and watch This Is Us online via our friends at TV Fanatic.) How does the actor feel about Moore? “She’s incredible, man,” he said on air. Later on during his appearance, Ventimiglia raised money for Breast Cancer Awareness Month… by stripping down and getting in the Splash Tank. Check out the handsome actor going shirtless for a good cause in the video above. Watch This Is Us Season 1 Episode 1 Online Watch This Is Us Season 1 Episode 2 Online As for what you can expect going forward on This Is Us? “The next three episodes are really, really strong and there’s an emotional response to the characters and the material,” creator Dan Fogelman told Entertainment Tonight, adding: “Hopefully, in its own unique way, that can draw people in a different way to TV, like the way I was drawn to it as a little kid.” We agree with both Fogelman and Ventimiglia. If you want something different, uplifting and sentimental, you should check out This Is Us on NBC. It airs Tuesdays at 9/8c.
President Obama’s time in office is soon to come to an end, and though the most powerful post in the country surely has its allure, we imagine the man will be somewhat relieved to bid the White House farewell. For one thing, he’ll no longer have to carry the hopes of the Western world on his shoulders and keep Joe Biden from choking on a Lego. But while his professional life is about to become much simpler, Barry is currently in the throes of one of the most grey-hair inducing experiences imaginable: raising teenagers in the public eye. Over the summer, reports of Malia Obama smoking pot and generally – gasp! – acting like an 18-year-old stirred up a baffling amount of controversy online. There were even reports that Malia was headed to rehab . Obviously, they turned out to be bogus, but that didn’t stop certain media outlets from eagerly pouncing on stories of Malia’s “hard-partying” ways. But even with the press’ ravenous hunger for political scandal (even Donald Trump can’t satisfy that appetite), Malia is a high school grad and legal adult, so the allegations about her love of weed and booze never really developed into that big of a deal. That might not prove to be the case with Malia’s younger sister, Sasha. Sasha is only 15, but sources say she’s got quite the active social life. And unfortunately, she lives in an age in which all of her peers are carrying high-res cameras in their pockets at all times. So perhaps it was only a matter of time before photos of Sasha partying were leaked to the press. Radar Online claims to have seen those pics (though the site declined to publish them), and they say it appears that the high school sophomore is gettin’ her drink on. Insiders report that the pics originally appeared on social media with captions reading: “Taking shots with Sasha Obama” and “When Sasha Obama is at your party.” They’ve since been deleted for reasons that remain unclear. Maybe Sasha pulled the “take those pics off of Instagram or I’ll have my dad drone strike your house” card. Classic move. Whatever the case, it appears that this thing has been promptly swept under the rug. But we wouldn’t be surprised if Sasha is grounded for so long that she’s hoping for a Trump victory to bring about the Apocalypse.
These days, the unfortunately-named Anthony Weiner is better known for his numerous sex scandals than for his political career. Weiner resigned from Congress in 2011 after inadvertently tweeting a sexually explicit photo of himself. In 2013, Weiner returned to the political arena with a failed campaign for mayor of New York City that was cut short when it was revealed that Weiner had been sexting Sydney Leathers, a young woman who went on to tar in an adult film based on her involvement with the disgraced politician. It seems even that incident wasn’t enough to keep the 52-year-old from sending explicit texts and social media messages, and Weiner was caught up in two additional sexting scandals in the past month. While his political career has come to an end, until recently Weiner was married to Huma Abedin, a top aide for Hillary Clinton. Abedin left Weiner after the latest round of revelations, but his name is still linked with the Clinton campaign, and thus, his scandalous private life is still making headlines. And unfortunately for everyone involved, Weiner’s dalliances keeping getting more and more shameful. Back in August, Weiner was caught in yet another sexting scandal after having sent a number of explicit photos (at least one of which showed the former congressman lying in bed next to his young son) were posted by a woman who set out to “catfish” Weiner. Last week, it was revealed that Weiner had been sexting a 15-year-old girl , a move that could land him in serious legal trouble. Page Six consulted with legal experts to find out if Weiner could be facing jail time for the illicit texts. The answer? Some believe that not only is Weiner headed to prison, he latest misdeeds might lead to a new federal law being enacted. “This could be the tip of the iceberg with a minor,” a DC lawyer and former DA who believes Weiner will do time. “This is not the first school girl he wants to see in her uniform.” She added that he’ll almost certainly be facing a civil suit from the girl’s family as well: “This is disgusting and depraved. I would not want to be his lawyer. He is not going to win this case.” As a result of Weiner’s latest scandal, New York State Assembly candidate Dean Hart is calling for a bill to criminalize sexually explicit text messages sent to minors: “When you are an adult you don’t play games with 15-year-old girls . . . This should be illegal and eliminates the difference between images and writing.” Hart added: “This is how he gets his jollies. I thought he needs a shrink … but now [with a minor], they got to make it a crime. “When people drive drunk, they are not permitted to drive a car again, so they should ban him from using cellphones and the Internet.” Others believe Weiner will avoid jail due to the fact that thus far the texts between Weiner and the teen that have surfaced have not featured any explicit photos. Whatever the case, this latest controversy should serve as a decisive nail in the coffin for Weiner’s political career and his marriage.
Are the tumultuous, tawdry, terrible twosome of Stevie J and Joseline Hernandez getting the boot from Love & Hip Hop Atlanta? A series of new reports in recent days suggest that the VH1 series’ best known stars may not be coming back for Season 6. Can we really put any sort of stock in that, though? According to Starcasm, Stevie J and Joseline have allegedly been told that their (large) contracts won’t be renewed for the new season. This talk has not been confirmed, but it makes you wonder. The drama between the two of them has been legendary, and real life and reality TV have blended together like never before of late. If you watch Love & Hip Hop Atlanta online , what you’ve been seeing – especially in this past year – is the VH1 beast eating its own tail. Even before Season 5 began airing, drama between Stevie J and Joseline was playing out online and escalating as the season progressed. By its end, Joseline accused Stevie J of molesting his daughter with Mimi Faust and said she passed a polygraph proving he loves gay porn . Yes, both of those things already happened. Crazily, that was not even the end of it. Stevie later confessed in a radio interview that he and his “wife” had never actually been married. Then, to top it all off, Hernandez got pregnant (supposedly) and disavowed Stevie … who may also be expecting another kid of his own. This all came to a head on the Season 5 reunion, obviously, boosting the show’s ratings higher than ever even as credibility suffered. Funny how that works. Not that seems to matter for the series’ viewers or tweeters, both of which reached record levels this spring. All of which brings us to today and talk that their “contracts for the VH1 show have not been renewed” and “ will not be renewed for Season 6 .” However … Both are reportedly in talks for spinoff shows; Stevie J’s is tentatively titled The Jordans, featuring the producer and his extended family. Stevie’s real name is Steven Jordan, and he has a lot of kids and baby mamas. Joseline’s alleged spinoff would focus on her pregnancy. Whether or not she’s actually pregnant, or Young Dro is the father, remain to be seen – but that’s neither here nor there at this juncture. Again, all of this is unconfirmed, so take it with a grain – nay, a boulder – of salt. Ditto Mimi Faust and her own recent cryptic comments. Mimi tweeted out “Goodbye Season 6” and stated she is on to “bigger and better things” while sharing a photo of herself and her agent. Are we suddenly looking at a mass exodus?! View Slideshow: Joseline and Stevie J: Love & Hip Hop Atlanta Feud Goes NUCLEAR! D. Smith is also said to be on the fence about returning, hinting on social media posts over the past few months that he may also peace out. That would leave the show down many cast members heading into Season 6, but remember that social media is a huge marketing tool. VH1, perhaps more than any other network, uses Twitter and the like to build buzz for its on- and off-screen drama, to massive success. Don’t be surprised when everyone re-ups for new deals just in time to resume filming, and for the contrived drama to be literally unprecedented. Well, maybe not unprecedented. There was this … Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta Fight Video
Some totally adorable things never change. Over the weekend, the core four cast members on one of the most iconic sitcoms in TV history came back together to melt down Instagram a bit. We’re talking about Debra Messing, Eric McCormack, Megan Mullally and Sean Hayes of Will & Grace fame. And, yes, we just referred to Will & Grace as an “iconic sitcom.” And we challenge anyone to say differently. It ran on NBC from 1998-2006, making it memorable based on duration alone. But it was also one of the first programs to center on not just one, but two openly gay characters. The premise of Will & Grace was McCormack’s Will, who was gay, living as a roommate with Messing’s Grace. Hayes portrayed Jack, the apartment neighbor, while Mullally’s was on board as the eccentric and hilarious Karen. The cast has clearly remained close over the years, although this is one of the first times they’ve documented a reunion on social media. “Only smiling because of where Eric’s hand is!” Messing joked alongside the first photo above of the former co-stars, while Mullally teased on Twitter: “i’m smiling, too, and not just because of a hand.” Added Messing of the second photo posted above: “You smell the same! @EricMccormack.” Mullally, meanwhile, poked fun at her and Hayes’ onscreen characters’ platonic relationship, uploading the following photo to her Instagram account and writing: “aw, cute couple… wait.” She then followed with her own picture alongside Messing (who went on to star in The Mysteries of Laura) and captioned it as follows: “my new wife and i are so happy.” Earlier this year, these same four stars came together as part of NBC’s Must See TV: An All Star Tribute to James Burrows. Messing, Hayes, Mullally and McCormack were just a few of the many celebrities who hung out under one roof for the event, which honored the legendary director. Cast members from Friends, Frasier, Cheers and The Big Bang Theory were all there, as well. Jimmy Kimmel watched someone else walk away with an Emmy for Best Variety Talk Series last night. That, however, wasn't where the pain of loss ended. As John Oliver and his colleagues exited stage left, Kimmel's “nemesis,” Matt Damon casually entered stage right, munching on an apple and looking to shoot the breeze. “Terrific,” Kimmel deadpanned as he saw the Oscar winner stroll up to him. “Can I help you?” he asked a smirking Damon. “What do you want?” “Just calm down, man,” Damon said, his mouth full of apple. “I missed the last category. Did you win?” he asked Kimmel. “No, we didn't win, alright?” “Oh, that's a bummer. It makes a lot of sense, but…you must be really bummed out.” “Yeah, we're a little disappointed, thank you.” “So, you're not going to get a trophy.” “No, I don't get a trophy, then,” Kimmel said. ” Are you finished? You done?” “Wait, who did get a trophy? Who won?” Damon asked. “John Oliver. He was just out here. What do you mean…” “Yes! Yes!” Damon said as the audience cheered. “They know,” he added, pointing out into the crowd. “And I knew. I had him in my pool.” “Do you mind if I continue with the show,” a ticked off Kimmel asked. Damon relented and told his frenemy he'd see him at the after party. “There's an after party?” Kimmel asked. Ooh. Awkward. “Hey Jimmy. Tell your mom, 'I like them apples,” Damon said as he walked off stage, referencing a line from Good Will Hunting . Kimmel's mom had made about 7,000 peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for the audience last night. Kimmel assumed that some people were hungry since they “hadn't eaten since Labor Day,” so Mrs. Kimmel packed sandwiches, juice boxes and apples for everyone. Damon and Kimmel have this skit up for 11 years, and it still isn't old. Last night's might have been the funniest yet, though their interactions in the past – most recently “Couples Therapy” – are pretty damn good. It started on the third episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live! , the talk show host himself told NPR in 2013. “We had a bad show. … The guests were bad, and I was feeling pretty bad about myself at the end of the program,” Kimmel recalled. “And I decided to say, for the amusement of one of our producers who was standing next to me … ‘I want to apologize to Matt Damon. We ran out of time.’ … And he got a kick out of it, the producer, so I just started doing it every night to amuse him.” From there, it led to an appearance by a very unamused Damon, to Sarah Silverman's “I'm F—ing Matt Damon” music video, and soon became a recurring segment of the show. Watch the skit below from last night's 68th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards. It truly is television magic.
Here is Jessica Lowndes, Jessica Hart and Jamie Chung at Us Weekly’s Most Stylish New Yorkers event and all I have to say is what did Jessica do to herself? Not only is she not stylish, but her face is butchered. She used to be a pretty looking girl, all sweet and innocent and now this tranny inspired Boy George get up. Botox? Lip injections? Bad Makeup? I don’t know what she did, but it’s not working. Photos: WENN.com
Miley Cyrus has not walked a red carpet since December. That’s a long time for someone with her level of fame, but the singing sensation has her reasons for it. They’re pretty great. “[A year ago] I had to do the [A Very Murray Christmas] premiere, and I will never do a red carpet again ,” she tells the October issue of Elle magazine. “Why, when people are starving, am I on a carpet that’s red? Because I’m ‘important’? Because I’m ‘famous’?” Miley does have a point and it’s a pretty good one. It appears Cyrus has been trying to change her image ever since getting back together with Liam Hemsworth. It has resulted in fewer crazy stories about her in the media, but that’s not really a bad thing. For a time, it appeared like she was desperately trying to prove to the world that she was not Hannah Montana. Yes, Hannah Montana made her famous, but she obviously wanted to be set apart from the character that made her pretty famous. Granted, she was already well-known due to being the daughter of Billy Ray Cyrus. It was revealed back in May that Miley and Liam were back together and it set the internet ablaze with comments about whether they would get married. It certainly seems like wedding bells are still ringing for the couple and they sure appear to be getting on a lot better than they were. Maybe the two of them were always fated to return to one another, but it was somewhat surprising. The two of them became very different people, but alas, Miley is keeping a lower profile these days. She’s now a judge on NBC’s The Voice, but that doesn’t stop controversy from following her. She and Adam Levine allegedly HATE one another . They just can’t get along, but that’s not stopping Cyrus from doing her thing on the singing competition. In a recent preview episode of the hit series, it was clear that Miley had a lot to offer to the latest batch of contestants, but will her clashing with Adam get in the way? We’ll need to tune in to find out! The Voice Coaches Team Up for Epic “Dream On” Performance A hot topic in her interview surrounded her wanting to increase her social media presence. “I want to be [on Snapchat]. I don’t know how to use it,” she admits. “I feel like I’ll be an old lady that’s too held back, because I don’t keep up with it.” We’re sure she’ll pick up on it pretty easily. There’s not much to learn. Speaking of cell phone apps, she is not a fan of Pokemon GO. Yes, that crazy game that involves people exploring places they really shouldn’t to catch Pokemon. However, Liam is very into the game. “[This morning] Liam woke up and tried to go to the car wash because it was a — what do you call it? — PokéSpot,” she quips. “Like, ‘Got to go find them and catch them all! Ahh!'” What do you think of all this? Hit the comments below! View Slideshow: Miley Cyrus Tattoos: Which is Your Favorite?
In 2009, Nadya Suleman gave birth to octuplets via IVF after Dr. Michael Kamrava injected her with 12 embryos. Fast forward seven years, and Suleman insists that that she only wanted one more child, since at the time she was an unemployed single mother of six children. Since then, Dr. Kamrava had his medical license revoked, and Suleman has changed her name to “Natalie.” She’s also “killed” the nickname given to her by the press, “Octomom” in an attempt to move forward with her children as a normal mother. “Everything I ever did was for money to put food on the table,” Suleman told the Daily Mail . “Everyone thinks I had all these donations and help but I didn’t – I did everything on my own and paid everything out of my own pocket so I was Octomom for four years. Suleman did porn, took part in bikini photo shoots, all so that her 14 children wouldn’t go hungry. “The last two years of it were so dark,” Suleman admitted. “I descended down a very dark and destructive path .” Suleman “exploited” and “dehumanized” herself by stripping and getting into the adult industry, but she insists that she and her family were “on the verge of homelessness,” so she felt she had no choice. “The consequence of exploiting myself was deep toxic shame and self disgust,” she said. “To continue I had to numb and that’s when I started with the prescription drugs. “I wasn’t able to exploit myself and do what I was doing without it, which became a problem – it wasn’t healthy .” Because her line of work required her to look the part, Suleman opted for plastic surgery. However, she didn’t get nearly as much as the media claimed, nor did she spend money that was reserved for her children. “I had a breast augmentation after breastfeeding three kids, which I paid for myself as I was working,” she admitted. “I had a tummy tuck after the octuplets after a media outlet promised me $100,000 to pose nude. In 2008 she got lip injections, which left her feeling “ashamed,” she told the Mail . “The media created the character and I shamefully embraced it in 2009 out of scarcity and desperation to survive “This is not something I ever wanted but I think every single mother can understand the challenges we face.” At one point, Suleman decided she’d had enough of her job, and told her manager she was quitting. Her manager said she would face a lawsuit if she didn’t show up, so Suleman took her lumps and went to the job. After she wrapped, Suleman came home to find her 10-year-old daughter, Amerah playing dress-up in a pair of Suleman’s spiked heels. “Later on I was cleaning up in the middle of the night and I saw that heel on the stair and the kids were all sleeping,” Suleman recalled. “All my emotions I’d suppressed started to bubble out into rage and I took the heel and threw it across the house and it stuck in the wall. “It was like I’d escaped prison. That character of Octomom was dead.” These days, Suleman works as a counselor. It’s a vocation she knows well, since she was a nurse before the infamy took over her life. “Before that I worked as a psychiatric nurse for a decade – altogether on and off I’ve been in the helping profession for over 20 years,” she said. Still, it’s tough for the Sulemans to make ends meet, so they do get help from the government. “We still get a little welfare – we get food stamps,” she said “There’s a misconception of welfare. I’ve been working for three and a half years and people think I’m a lazy welfare recipient. “Everyone thinks people on welfare don’t work but welfare is supplemental. “My kids eat three times the amount that food stamps provide so I have to work to feed them. ‘I’ve been helping drug addicts and alcoholics, so I’m doing the hard work not the easy exploitative work. I’m back to who I am.’ And at the end of the day, Suleman can look her children in the eyes and tell them the whole truth, and nothing but the truth. “My kids know what I did as Octomom I tell them the truth,” she said. “I’ve told them I’ve done some very bad and shameful things and they say, ‘It’s okay mom we love you anyway and we’ll always love you.’ “They know I did it for them. We don’t have kid conversations, we have deep and intellectual conversations about all of this. They are so smart and so aware.” RIP Octomom.
