Forgive us for ripping off a previous CW marketing campaign, but: OMFG . There really is no alternate reaction to the trio of covers Entertainment Weekly just released in honor of The Vampire Diaries , specifically stars Nina Dobrev, Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley. All three are featured across the main cover and two collector’s items, and nary a shirt is to be seen… Copies of the issue go on sale Friday, while inside producers Julie Plec and Kevin Williamson dish on the challenge of writing for a show with dueling, passionate fan bases. “When we want Stefan and Elena to have a moment together, how can we do that and not have our Delena fans outraged?” Plec asks . We’ve got an idea, Julie: just take Damon’s shirt off. That will satisfy all viewers.
Ellen DeGeneres was recently named a spokesperson for JC Penney. Once this news broke, a conservative organization known as One Million Moms quickly launched an offensive to get the comedian fired from the gig. Bill O’Reilly addressed this topic on Fox News last night, taking the side that anyone is free to simply not shop at JC Penney… but to lobby for Ellen’s ousting is un-American and wrong. DeGeneres also touched on the scandal during her talk show monologue, keeping it short, but relying on two points: A number of comments left on the One Million Moms’ own Facebook page are in support of JC Penney and express their authors’ intention to shop there even more now. Have a problem with Ellen’s “traditional values,” as the group claims citizens should? Here they are: Honesty. Quality. Kindness. Compassion. Ellen DeGeneres Reacts to Prop 8, JC Penney Flap Vote now: Do you think Ellen should be fired from this role?

New York Giants running back Brandon Jacobs has a brief message for supermodel Gisele Bundchen, following her blaming the New England Patriots’ Super Bowl loss on dropped passes by husband Tom Brady’s teammates: Just shut yer yap and just look gorgeous! The Brazilian beauty made news after she was filmed, unknowingly, by The Insider , defending Brady from gloating Giants fans shortly after Super Bowl XLVI. “You have to catch the ball when you’re supposed to catch the ball,” yelled Bundchen to Giants fans as she was on her way out of Lucas Oil stadium.’ “My husband can’t f–king throw the ball and catch the ball at the same time,” she continued. “I can’t believe they dropped the ball so many times.” When asked by reporters about the rant during Tuesday’s victory celebration at MetLife stadium in New Jersey, Jacobs offered some unsolicited advice: “She just needs to continue to stay cute and shut up,” the outspoken star said. His teammate, defensive lineman Osi Umenyiora, expressed a little more sympathy: “I mean she’s supposed to stay out of things like that, but at the end of the day that’s their relationship and she has the right to say whatever she wants.” Gotta like a gal standing by her man, even if you’re glad said man lost. She’s also not wrong. That Wes Welker drop was an absolute killer.
Rick Santorum’s Colorado and Missouri caucus wins put a nice dent in Mitt Romney’s aura of inevitability, but didn’t come close to overtaking him in the delegate count. On the other hand, he has just 87 of 1,144 delegates needed to win the GOP nomination, with more than 80 percent of the U.S. still awaiting a chance to be heard. Take away Florida’s winner-take-all primary – one of only two such races so far – and his total would be even less impressive. Take a look at the delegate count so far: The “non-binding” states allow their delegates, or a portion of them, to change their minds regardless of the election results, though they are unlikely to do so. Some delegates are also “unpledged,” meaning they are not tied to election results, which is why not all of the totals in the table above (by Real Clear Politics) add up. Jon Huntsman won two delegates in New Hampshire, but is no longer in the race. As for the first contest, Iowa, CNN offers a different tabulation altogether. It’s confusing, to say the least, but offers an indication of where things are headed after last night, and looking ahead to the Super Tuesday elections on March 6. Missouri’s primary yesterday was non-official, so it is not included above. That state holds its caucus March 17, at which point delegates will actually be awarded. Maine’s caucuses are a week-long affair, concluding this Sunday. Arizona and Michigan are the next primaries on the Republican schedule, both set for February 28. Washington votes March 3, with Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio, Alaska, Virginia, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Idaho, Massachusetts and Vermont all casting ballots March 6. Below is the aggregate and state-by-state popular vote as of today. By this measure, Romney’s lead is even less significant, as he’s won well under half the votes: The question remains: Can Santorum, Newt Gingrich and/or Ron Paul mount a serious offensive in the coming weeks that will make this a race beyond March 6? Right now, it’s still wide open, but with hundreds of delegates up for grabs on or before that date, a Romney sweep could finally propel him ahead of the field. He would still be a long way from clinching the Republican presidential nomination, but from a financial and momentum standpoint, that may be his opponents’ last stand. If no candidate makes it to 1,144 by the end of the primary season this summer, the winner would be brokered/decided at the Republican National Convention. Wouldn’t that be something …
She’s out of the hospital, that much we know. But based on the panic on one end of the recently-released 911 call , Demi Moore is far from out of the woods. So where is the troubled star at the moment? An insider tells E! News Moore is NOT enrolled in a rehab program, but she has been undergoing some kind of ” spiritual counseling ,” while, presumably, still living at home. Daughters Tallulah and Rumer, meanwhile, are residing at their father’s Los Angeles condo. Rumer, however, spent at least one fun night on the town this weekend. Various sources report she ate dinner on Saturday with Annie Starke, Annie’s mother Glenn Close and Close’s husband David Shaw at Comme
Are Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie really headed down the altar soon? That’s what could be expected, given Pitt’s recent comments about the pressure to – and his desire to – propose, but according to Jolie, that’s premature. “I think anything said tends to be blown out of proportion,” Jolie told People Sunday night at the SAG Awards , when asked about “a lot of ring-talk lately.” “Yeah, that was my fault,” Pitt admitted with a smile. Guess we know who wears the pants in that house. The speculation about wedding bells in the near future for the famous couple stem from Pitt’s remark that Brangelina is “getting a lot of pressure from the kids.” “It means something to them,” he continued, adding that he would like to marry Angelina, and that “We will [get married] someday, we will. It’s a great idea.” “‘Please, get mommy a ring.’ ‘OK, I will, I will.’ ” “It seems to mean more and more to our kids,” he said. “I don’t think we’ll be able to hold out … it means something to me, to make that kind of commitment.” Probably not until Angelina demands it, however. While Christina Aguilera had the floor during Etta James’ funeral on Saturday, and used it to belt out a version of “At Last,” former American Idol champion Kelly Clarkson paid tribute to the late, great artist in her own way last week, as well. “This isn’t ‘At Last’ because everyone really covers that and so I wanted to do my favorite, actually,” Kelly told a crown in New York City. “My favorite song is ‘I’d Rather Go Blind.’ So, this is for Etta!” Kelly Clarkson – I’d Rather Go Blind (Live) On Saturday night, meanwhile, during a performance in Pennsylvania, Clarkson also announced her next single, “I Forgive You.” It will hit the radio any day now. We can’t wait!
Emily VanCamp stars on Revenge on ABC. If you don’t know who she is, and haven’t seen the show … check out this magazine article and start watching! VanCamp, who plays Emily Thorne, swears she is nothing like her vengeful character, and that she is still looking for “the one” in real life. Most recently connected to The Vampire Diaries ‘ Joseph Morgan, VanCamp tells her native Canada’s Flare magazine that distance is to blame for their split. “I’m working non-stop in L.A., he’s in Atlanta. It kind of makes it impossible … It doesn’t take away from the love two people have, and I think he’s extraordinary.” Another extraordinary (fictional) thing: Juggling two suitors on Revenge – humble Jack (Nick Wechsler) and current fiance, rich Daniel Grayson (Josh Bowman). That doesn’t mean life imitates art for VanCamp. “It’s all about making me laugh. I can be quite serious sometimes so laughing is key,” the 25-year-old says of what she looks for in the perfect boyfriend. “I think it’s important to be with a guy who has a strong sense of integrity. That’s how I was raised, and that’s something I look for. And humility.” “I think people who lack humility are really annoying.” There’s your blueprint, fellas. Make your move.
