Lauryn Hill’s NJ Mansion In Foreclosure Over Nearly $1 Mill Tax Arrears (Exclusive)

(Photo by Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images for Museum Of Modern Art) Fugees Singer May Lose Home After Falling Behind On Tax Bills For Mansion Lauryn Hill is once again facing major tax trouble. The Fugees singer has been put in default in a foreclosure lawsuit over nearly $1 million in back taxes on her mansion in New Jersey, BOSSIP has learned. Rothman Realty LLC sued the hip-hop singer late last year to foreclose her mansion after the company bought the tax certificate on her suburban mansion. According to the suit, Hill didn’t pay the taxes on the property back in 2003, and plaintiff Rothman Realty LLC bought the tax lien and began paying the tax bills, which swelled to a total of $993,901 as of April 2018, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. The “Killing Me Softly” singer never responded to the foreclosure suit, so Rothman Realty got a judge to officially put the home in foreclosure, court papers state. Now, the realty company wants Hill out of the mansion and the complete ownership and control of the property. The home is now set to be sold at Sheriff’s auction, and the proceeds will be used to pay Rothman Realty back, according to court papers. Hill bought the 5,000 square foot mansion in South Orange for $430,000 in 1997 – during the height of her fame with the Fugees, according to public records. The property, set on half an acre, is now worth an estimated $1.06 million. It’s not the first time that the singer has dealt with tax problems. Hill actually served three months in federal prison in 2013 for failure to pay taxes. And last month, we exclusively revealed that Hill sued her relative, Gerald Hill, to collect on a $65,000 loan she gave him that he never paid back. Hill’s lawyer declined to comment. We’ve also reached out to Rothman Realty for comment.

Rich Schultz/Getty Images Black Talk Show Host Schools White Co-Hosts On NFL Protests & Disrespecting The Military Daily Blast Live host Al Jackson is done spending time talking about the NFL protests if you’re not going to talk about the root of the problem — racism in America. He’s so done with talking about it that he unleashed nothing but facts on his co-hosts and any ignorant viewers who had a problem with it. When the conversation went five minutes too long Al Jackson had enough. He tells his co-hosts: “Are we done talking about this or are we going to talk about stupid Casey Affleck? Are we ready to have a serious conversation? Are we going to give this story the breath and time it deserves or are we going to talk about the next James Bond, what do you guys wanna do?” It was then that Daily Blast Live co-hosts  Sam Schacher and  Jeff Schroeder realized it was about to go down.  Al Jackson gathered the congregation for a sermon and unapologetically schooled them on how veterans, especially black ones, are treated when they return home from war. It looks like America as a whole has some problems with disrespecting military vets and it has nothing to do with the national anthem . Watch the entire exchange below.

The event benefitted Atlanta’s DeKalb County Schools and included haircuts and hair styling, live performances, food, and fun. Attendance at the back to school drive doubled and nearly 1000 pairs of shoes were given to kids along with 1500 backpacks, 1300 uniforms and school supplies such as folders, paper, and pens. He kicked off this campaign by donating $ 21 k or $1,000 to  21  kids in partnership with award-winning non-profit organization, Get Schooled. According to RadarOnline , Pistons baller Blake Griffin has been ordered to pay his baby mama Brynn Cameron $258,000 per MONTH in child support. Brynn birthed both of Blake’s children, Ford Wilson, 5, and Finley Elaine, 2. Blake and Brynn have been tied up in a UGLY paternity battle in addition to a civil lawsuit where Brynn claims that Blake deaded their engagement and left her for Kendall Jenner. In that Feb. 14 suit, Cameron said Griffin — who is now dating model Francesca Aiello after splitting from Jenner in April — refused to “provide promised financial support” even after he asked her to “give up her career goals and aspirations to raise their children and support” his career. Back in January Brynna claimed that Blake kicked her and their kids out of his mansion and left her essentially homeless with only $100 in her bank account. Blake Griffin just finished the first year of a 5-year contract worth upwards of $171 million. He’s set to bring in $32 million next season. For those of you who aren’t great at math, this means that Brynn will clock $3,096,000 per year and $55,728,000 over the course of 18 years. Oh, by the way, Brynn also has a son with former NFL quarterback Matt Leinart. That chick is eating good. Reactions are everything from ashy to hilarious. Flip it over.
