(Photo by Nicholas Hunt/Getty Images for Museum Of Modern Art) Fugees Singer May Lose Home After Falling Behind On Tax Bills For Mansion Lauryn Hill is once again facing major tax trouble. The Fugees singer has been put in default in a foreclosure lawsuit over nearly $1 million in back taxes on her mansion in New Jersey, BOSSIP has learned. Rothman Realty LLC sued the hip-hop singer late last year to foreclose her mansion after the company bought the tax certificate on her suburban mansion. According to the suit, Hill didn’t pay the taxes on the property back in 2003, and plaintiff Rothman Realty LLC bought the tax lien and began paying the tax bills, which swelled to a total of $993,901 as of April 2018, according to court papers obtained by BOSSIP. The “Killing Me Softly” singer never responded to the foreclosure suit, so Rothman Realty got a judge to officially put the home in foreclosure, court papers state. Now, the realty company wants Hill out of the mansion and the complete ownership and control of the property. The home is now set to be sold at Sheriff’s auction, and the proceeds will be used to pay Rothman Realty back, according to court papers. Hill bought the 5,000 square foot mansion in South Orange for $430,000 in 1997 – during the height of her fame with the Fugees, according to public records. The property, set on half an acre, is now worth an estimated $1.06 million. It’s not the first time that the singer has dealt with tax problems. Hill actually served three months in federal prison in 2013 for failure to pay taxes. And last month, we exclusively revealed that Hill sued her relative, Gerald Hill, to collect on a $65,000 loan she gave him that he never paid back. Hill’s lawyer declined to comment. We’ve also reached out to Rothman Realty for comment.

When The Checks Stop Coming In Exclusive: Lil Kim LOSES Manse To Foreclosure

“All About The Benjamins” Rapper Owes Almost $2 Million On Mansion Lil Kim may soon find herself out on the streets after a judge OK’d the foreclosure of her North Jersey mansion, BOSSIP has learned. A Bergen County, NJ judge recently ordered that Lil Kim’s home foreclosed on after the mom of one abruptly stopped fighting her foreclosure lawsuit. HSBC Bank sued the pint-sized rapper – real name Kimberly Jones – in 2010 after it claimed she stopped paying the nearly $10,000 a month mortgage on her palatial Alpine, NJ estate the year before. HSBC said she made a deal with them in 2002 for a $1.5 million mortgage for her mansion, and promised to make the $9,935 a month payments. But the bank said Lil Kim but stopped paying altogether in 2009, and wants her out and the home sold at a Sheriffs Sale. The case went through the courts and Kim tried at times to go to mediation with the bank in order to work out a payment plan. But the bank said Lil Kim stopped responding to the suit earlier this year, and on May 4, a judge approved Kim’s foreclosure. As of January 2017, the bank said she owed a total of $1,929,358.88 on the mortgage, including interest and taxes, according to court docs obtained by BOSSIP. It’s not clear why Kim stopped paying her mortgage. She brought in an estimated six figures from her stint on the Bad Boy Reunion Tour in 2016, and she’s also made money through releasing new music and promotional appearances. We’ve reached out to Lil Kim’s accountant for comment. Kim’s home foreclosure isn’t the only money problem she’s dealing with: in 2015, the IRS hit her with a tax lien for $126,805.

When The Checks Stop Coming In: Parents Of Olympic Swimmer Ryan Lochte Lose Home To Foreclosure

Ryan couldn’t call K.Michelle to help him out? SMH. Just goes to show you that times are hard even when your son is making big money athlete checks. According to RadarOnline reports : Ryan Lochte was a money-making machine after the 2012 London Olympics, even landing his own reality TV show — but RadarOnline.com has exclusively learned he was unable to help save his parents’ home, which they lost to foreclosure. According to court documents obtained by Radar, the final judgement on the foreclosure of Steven and Ileana Lochte‘s Port Orange, Fla. home was handed down on Oct. 31, 2013. The Lochtes were first sued in 2012 by CitiMortgage claiming the couple took out a loan for $258,000 in 2007, requiring $1,609.58 payments per month. But the bank then claimed the Lochtes stopped making their payments in Feb. 2011 and owed more than $242,239! The Olympic swimmer’s parents were sued in Volusia County, Fla. for foreclosure over the money owed and lost last October. The judge signed a judgement in favor of the bank to the tune of $304,219.95. Although the bank hasn’t listed the house for public auction yet, it’s only a matter of time before they do as they were issued the Certificate of Title on Dec. 18, 2013. Interestingly, just before the Lochtes stopped making payments on their home Steven was arrested and charged with a DUI on April 11, 2010 blowing a .207 and .217 on the scene. Steven lost his driver’s license for one year. Dang. They stopped paying their mortgage even before Ryan won his medals. Looks like somebody gave no fawks about keeping that house!

Dina Lohan may want to consider downsizing, or plotting an aggressive New York mortgage refinance strategy, because she’s being foreclosed on. According to reports, a bank has filed a lawsuit regarding her Long Island house, which she’s been falling behind on her mortgage payments on for years. JP Morgan Chase Bank filed the foreclosure action, according to the Long Island Press , though Lindsay Lohan ‘s mom can still settle this with the bank. If she does that, she may remain in the property; Dina has salvaged similar situations in the past, including last year, when LiLo floated her $40,000. The foreclosure documents were filed two weeks before Dina Lohan was arrested for DUI . Her BAC was allegedly 2.5 times the legal limit in New York.
